Going off of this!!

I’d like to share my own take on Craig Tucker in regards to how I view him, + his asd. He’s my little meowmeow and I chose how to write him. >:) Oh my god this is a mess of thoughts. Some headcanons, some just straight up analysis. While I do enjoy a lot of fanon portrayals of Craig (and Tweek) as they are all valid and fun in their own ways and I love seeing everyone’s takes on them, I definitely do have my own favorites. There is no one way to interpret a character after all! That being said, Craig Tucker is a LOSER (affectionate). He’s a cringefail loser nerd and I hope he knows it. This man is a nerdy hyperfixated disaster who on the surface level only has three moods: bitchy, neutral, and adoration. He’s a sarcastic little bitch who always complains about the fucking bizarreness of everything that's going on around him. He does not want any part of it. He will flip it off. He will flip his family off. He will flip you off. He will flip off god. However, in some instances, family, friends and those special people (or guinea pigs) he doesn’t know how to express his emotions, and so he will fall back on the gesture as a means of affection. (i.e. when you insult your best friends as a sign of knowing each other for a long time sorta thing.) Most of the time, I think he’s just. Neutral. He’s going through life as boringly as he can and he likes it that way. He even brings this up: “Boring, just the way I like it.” And I hate to reach here, but as someone with autism myself, and I know others with this condition, a lot of the time we HATE change. Routines, schedules, boringness, its just the way to be, it’s not scary or weird, it’s just normality in a world of bizarreness. I don’t want to go on a spontaneous adventure, I need time and preparation to do things outside of normalcy, even if it is fun and a good change, I will need time to adjust. I could see Craig 100% being the same way.  Even in ‘Tweek x Craig’ he’s especially upset about the towns attention on him, as being in a ‘relationship’ with Tweek is a big change and is the first out of him and Tweek to go out of the way to try and solve the issue via the fake breakup. Another point here is his ‘problem-solving’ attitude. In ‘Put It Down’ he tries to ‘solve’ Tweek’s anxiety by distracting him, when what he needed to do was just talk to Tweek about his feelings. I’ve actually seen other autistic people say that this episode taught them how to better empathise with others, and truly it’s a guiding point for me as well! It’s a genuine good reminder to me that when my friends are upset maybe the best thing to do is just listen and affirm feelings. Thanks Craig :) Once again, he always has a neutral expression, he doesn't smile often and we don’t even see him smile much in tfbw when your character takes a selfie with him. I like to hc that he just has a resting bitch face lmao. But a lot of autistic people genuinely struggle to convey or even feel emotions in the same neurotypical way. This can often be called masking, and because I don’t want to ramble for forever, I definitely recommend looking up autistic masking for yourself. His voice is even neutral and monotone, which can be an autism thing! Some asd individuals have trouble putting emotion into their voices and can seem un-caring, when thats not true, and it’s just more natural to be monotone. I definitely don’t think Craig is without emotions, he’s just not going at expressing his feelings (which I’d love to talk about in contrast for his relationship with Tweek but that’s for another day as this post is long enough). For example, he does seem worried about Tweek’s anxiety in ‘Put It Down’ and even asks how Tweek is when they’re broken up in tfbw. He’s worried about how others see him being gay in ‘Tweek x Craig’ and he’s infamously known for his love for his guinea pig, who he’s upset at the notion of someone insulting the love for his pet in ‘Tweek vs Craig’. Anyway, why do I think he’s a loser? Well as @craigrights put it in our dm’s, Craig:

- gets NO bitches except one meth addict

- needs braces

Which. Yeah. Thank you Syd, you’ve summed it up. (Yeah absolute hc that he has fucked up teeth and needs to wear braces lmao.) But other then that, I love the popular fanbase headcanon that Craig is just a major nerd for space stuff. He has space memorabilia around his bedroom from what we can see in tfbw. I’d also like to note that aside from the little boxes on the floor, which can be probably cleaned up in a minute or two, his room is really clean! An absolute clean nerd (autism). Weirdo.

So yeah, I can absolutely see him being hyperfixated on space and astromony, and adores it. I can totally see him being super quiet only giving the occasional blunt one-liners but then flipping into rambling about space whenever you give him the chance. He loves Stripe, and all the variations of stripe over the years which is honestly really heart-warming. It really does crush the whole ‘bad-boy’ persona when some of the characters chalk him up to be a troublemaker. This kid loves animals. DORK.  Last thing is the fictional red racer tv show, I could sooo see him having a mini-fixation on it too. When Cartman asks him to fight Tweek in ‘Tweek vs Craig’ he responds that he’ll only do it after red racer. THIS BOY HAS WORKED RED RACER INTO HIS AUTISM SCHEDULE.. A LOSER. Anyway this was an absolute ramble!! And not even all my thoughts on this character, I’m forgetting a LOT and it’s sorta sad how much I could probably add to this. I could also talk a bit about his character relationships in my own personal au? headcanon? Idk what you’d call it. I’d love to ramble about Tweek too, and especially Creek headacnons as a whole as I had to personally hold myself back from adding a bunch of Creek into this ramble. @onenicebugperday Bit of an unfortunate update, but not without hope.

A week ago as of posting this, Green Bean Casserole had a pretty severe mismolt. I think they fell and got stuck behind their favorite stick in an awkward position after leaving the exuviae. I only found and assisted them the next morning, but by then their exoskeleton had already hardened up. Thankfully all of their limbs are intact and functional, but, well... The situation is far from ideal, as you’ll see.

At first I was pretty worried they wouldn’t make it; they seemed to be struggling to move around due to the deformity, falling when climbing and generally looking wobbly. I moved them to a different terrarium set up for my flat headed snake Absinthe, both because of the softer substrate and the lack of skinks that might be bold and attempt to take advantage of a weakened mantis. I wasn’t even sure if food would be able to pass through their system, and they had no interest in prey at all, which wasn’t a good sign. However, with some adjustments to the layout of the temporary terrarium I moved them to, they did climb and manage to hang from the lid with some effort. GBC seemed like they were a fighter, and the day after the bad molt they accepted and ate a grasshopper, so I decided to see if I could get them to their next molt and hopefully allow them to recover.

They’ve since adapted to their new shape, and I’ve moved them back to their usual terrarium for easier monitoring and better sun access. They’re climbing and hanging without falling, eating well, and drinking water droplets from the screen lid when I water the terrarium. I’d say they’re about as close to thriving as they could be in this situation! Here’s how they’re looking today. Ignore the escapee grasshopper in the background, its jailbreak was short lived…

I do feel a bit mean for making this comparison, but…

AIGHT this idea has been marinating for a while now and I finally had a free moment to get these ideas down! Mostly I just really like mantis blades and wanted to give them to my favorite lil guy.

I figure Khaji Da reasons that Jaime really needs a way to defend himself properly in case they go offline for whatever reason. Mainly if the Reach shows up and tries to get them back On Mode and under control, then Khaji can deactivate without worrying too much about Jaimes safety.

During all of this Jaime is likely going to need to sleep hard and eat hard. It’s similar to getting better after a cold or healing an injury. As for the duration of all this I’m not sure. I want to say relatively quickly because Khaji wants to minimize suffering, but I also gotta consider what’s reasonable. So a week? Maybe? Minimum? Needless to say this uh. Really sucks for Jaime. But having these on both arms assists in defense, offense and even climbing. Khaji can rest well knowing their host is safe.

tattoo day 2! what a difference in the pain and swelling with this one. i'm gonna talk about some perhaps gross stuff about the healing process so, a warning for below.

my last tattoo, on day 2, the saniderm (the clear bandage on top) was filled with so much excess ink and plasma it ended up coming off. and my arm was so swollen it was like a huge red balloon.

this time around there's almost no swelling, just a little redness, and almost no leaking. there's a little excess ink leaking in some spots, making some of the lines look a little wonky underneath the saniderm, but last time around there was so much leakage you couldn't even see the tattoo. seems like this time around i'll be able to keep the saniderm on for the full 3 days. so the healing process should be a bit quicker!

not sure if it's healing better this time around because my last tattoo was so black heavy or what, but i'm happy

Why don't you trust butterflies 🧍🦋

well you see, when i was a very small child, i had a nightmare. it began outside a beautiful gated garden, lush with flowers and foliage. every adult that tried to enter was promptly eaten by giant spiders that dropped down from the gate's arch.

i, being very small at the time, was able to enter without harm. and inside were countless butterflies of all sizes! it was gorgeous! i still remember it vividly despite having this dream a loooooong time ago! but i most vividly remember leaning down to look at a butterfly on a gorgeous flower.

then a different butterfly came over and cannibalized it. slowly. while the smaller one just sat there and let it happen, gently fluttering its wings.

and when i looked around the garden, i saw that the butterflies were all cannibals. and they helped the spiders eat people. it was beautiful carnage.

also butterflies are just ingenuine! they're the mean girls! they're all "oh we're so pretty and innocent look at us so so prettyyyy" girl you literally feed on carrion, rotting fruit, shit, and mud, stop lying

Not my usual post type but imagine a Kung Fu Panda AU but it's one of those human high school AUs

The Furious 5 are a group of friends who all attend the same martial arts club outside of school (run by Shifu ofc) and Po is a new member of the group after his dads encouraged him to do it so he could improve his confidence.

When in school however; Crane and Viper are in the same dance club, Tigress and Mantis are part of the student Council meanwhile Monkey isn't in an after school club but often stays behind after school on Fridays to help the cleaning staff out

Kai, Tai Lung and Shen are a group of friends, your average bully group if anything. Though each one is different in their method of bullying and why they act like that

Kai being the oldest and skilled in a few different forms of martial arts likes picking on others who are more weaker than him to boost his own ego due to being scared of being seen as too soft by his two friends

Tai Lung used to be bullied before he transferred to Jade High (what I'm calling the high school in this nonsensical au) and to avoid it happening again he became a bully, eventually teaming up with Kai. Much to his family's disapproval and disappointment (his family being Shifu and Tigress)

Lastly is Shen, the rich (nepo-baby) of the group, he is vain and likes making rude comments about people's looks. But he will also be physical whrn bullying someone. Think like Regina George from mean girls mixed with Hoshiko Mizudori from Yandere Simulator (I hate that game but she's the only one I can think of that fits Shen for this). Along with this he often gets away with it more due to his parents funding the school during big events.

As for the Chameleon from Kung Fu Panda 4 she's like the stereotypical pick-me who thinks she's part of Kai's squad just bc she's also a bully, though none of those 3 dudes even know she exists

If I actually decide to make more for this I'll probably try making designs for each character and/or short stories on Tumblr based off this au.

That scene where Nebula cries after she hears about Rocket being safe.. Right after that, the way Mantis says ‘we love you very much and we’re happy you’re alive’, the more I see it, sounds like she’s speaking for the team and especially for Nebula.

Mantis was crying the whole time in the first bit where Rocket was injured, it’s actually odd to see her NOT cry in this bit. I think she wanted to be very clear to Rocket about how her, Nebula and Drax collectively felt, mainly because Nebula started to break.

Like.. out of the entire gang, the two are generally shown to be on opposite ends of the ‘express what you genuinely feel in an honest way’ spectrum. That scene feels like Mantis finally understands Nebula, and (metaphorically) reaches out to help her express how she feels. It happens without having to touch her.

seconds before we get on the phone with peter and rocket, nebula says something like mantis is only useful when one shows their weakness (can’t remember it word to word but) and mantis snaps at nebula for not caring about drax and people in general..

Their arguments are immediately refuted:

Nebula ends up ‘showing weakness’ and Mantis doesn’t treat this like a weakness at all. Mantis after seeing Nebula break learns that she didn’t know how much Nebula cared.

We all were pretty thrown when Nebula started crying, probably so was Mantis..  What if it was the first time she shed tears in front of her??

Her powers... and how it was seemingly never something Nebula would engage with.. kept them mentally distant at and hurting each other.... I think this was their simple yet powerful first breakthrough.

As a sucker for this family I am over the moon with their development

and as a shipper of bugborg I am vigorously shaking poking cutting up this interaction into pieces devouring it an unhealthy amount of times

I CAN’T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO SHARE THEM HERE BUT IPOAF BABIES HAVE BEEN GRADUALLY EMERGING! It started with me discovering two in the ootheca container one night a couple weeks ago, followed by four more the next morning, then a week or so of none. Here’s one from the first night! They’d already hardened up when I found them.

The first batch were all placed outside in nice weather instead of kept in the container because I am trying to minimize mantis baby fratricide. I thought maybe the rest hadn’t survived but then I woke up one day and not only had five more emerged in the container, along with a 6th that sadly didn’t make it, but one had also managed to hatch from a molded ootheca fragment I’d dropped into one of my vivariums! I had broken it off after spotting the mold(which was green and fuzzy) in hopes of saving the portion that wasn’t affected; it had a bit of a smell so it almost certainly wasn’t harmless. Here is the little mold miracle, still freshly emerged and yet already doing the stanky leg in the last picture.

I took the funky little guy out of the vivarium and instead kept them with the others, because otherwise it would’ve been up against a jumping spider, two grass spiders, and a narrow mouthed toad. I will note that while its head shape was abnormal, it seemed healthy and acted just like the rest. Following these pictures, more have emerged from both the container ootheca and fragment and the piece in the vivarium. When I released this next group the total amount of healthy babies hatched was 18!

Since then, a few more have emerged, and right now I’m holding on to five; one emerged in the vivarium, the others were in the container. For the sake of cleanliness and visibility I swapped out the dirt and rock they used to have for paper towels and a piece of folded note card, which was scored and poked with a needle to make sure it was suitable for them to climb on or hang under. Here is one little baby having a sippy! I water them by just wetting a corner of the paper towel so there’s no droplets that would otherwise be a drowning risk.
