They're so the reader comes over the Dunphy house to hang out or spend the night with his boyfriend but the family think that they're just best friends even if they caught them cuddling on the couch or on the bed. But they then they caught Luke and the reader kissing. Making both Luke and the reader explain to them how they've been dating for a month now and laughing so hard how so oblivious his family is.

You are at Luke’s house and he is happy to spend time with you. You are in the kitchen and Luke gave you a a peck on the lips and you start to smile.

“So your here to tutor MY son, am I hearing you right?” Luke’s mom said while leaning over the kitchen island. Her eyebrows scrunched as she tried to process the information. But to his surprise, you still seemed clueless. “Oh, I didn’t know you had sisters?” Luke slowly sat up, a defeated frown on his face. He shifted around before looking up at you, his eyes pleading like a puppy. “I didn’t ask you to come here to study.”

“But, wait. You did ask me for help. That’s why I’m here. Sorry, I’m confused.” He stepped up and looked down at you. “I-I like you. I really really like you. The thing about the two of you saying that your going to get married while you are two 5 year olds is that no one really takes you seriously.

Luke’s family just went along with it and it became kinda like a running joke (to them, the two of you were completely serious) like Claire would ask ”Hey Luke, what are you and Y/n doing upstairs” and he’d answer something like ”Were trying to find a good wedding band and a good song for our first dance, we were thinking maybe ”You Needed Me” by Anne Murray”.

And Claire would just nodd and go along with it as if you were really getting married (which you were but she didn’t realise).

Haley and Alex were aware tho as you and Luke had come to them for help with the planning. Haley for decoration advice and to Alex for help with a wedding budget.

As you and Luke got older the two of you started earning money by doing stuff like mowing neighbours lawns, babysitting, pet-sitting, etc.

Gloria was the only adult that realised the two of you were serious about the whole marriage thing and she wanted to be involved in helping the two of you plan which the two of you gladly accepted.

Whenever Manny wanted to take Luke so they could look at pretty girls Luke would always say no because he’s a taken man. Which Manny would respect.

Luke’s parents still didn’t even realise that the two of you were actually together while in high school even though you were really affectionate towards each other. But they wrote it off thinking ”They have always been affectionate towards each other since they were kids so it’s not different now”.

After high school the first thing Luke did was to propose to you, which his parents still thought was part of the long running joke.

They realised it wasn’t a joke when they were sitting in chairs at the wedding and you and Luke were reading your vows to each other. Phil leaned over to Claire and whispered ”They sure put a lot of effort in to this fake wedding” and that’s the moment Claire would realise and say ”Oh my god… i think this is a real wedding”.

They would then lean over to Haley who was crying seeing her baby brother and his long time best friend get married and ask if she knew it was real to which she would answer ”Are you two serious? They have literally been planning this since they were five”.

”Wait? You knew” Claire then asked shocked. ”Yeah, i’ve been helping them since they were like ten and they needed help with designing everything, Alex helped them with the budget, Gloria has helped them find a band, venue and all that stuff”..

Claire would then lean over to Jay, Mitch and Cam and ask the same thing ”Did you guys know this was a real wedding?”. They were all also suprised.

After that they just continued watching the wedding in confusion and saw the two of you say your I Do’s.

In the end they were still really happy for the two of you and knew that since you had basically been engaged for 13 years everything would turn out fine between you.

You and Luke had known each other since you were small and had always been very close. You were basically already a part of Luke’s family. Whenever they needed someone to watch Lily or Joe when everybody was busy you’d always lend a helping hand.

Claire sees you as a god send since your always willing to help out her family and also because you one of the people who can help Luke think before he acts.

You are also close with Cam and Mitch as you are y/s and they were really helpful to help you adapt and eventually be comfortable enough to come out to the people you love.

When you came out to Luke’s family they were all really supportive and made sure you knew that you were loved.

Then everything was normal for a while until Luke started acting strange, he was kinda following you like a lost puppy. You didn’t really notice tho cause it was usually kinda like that but his family noticed becaus he would talk about you endlessly, the things you liked, the things you disliked and about how amazing you were.

Which led Haley to ask sarcastically if Luke was in love with you and after thinking for a few seconds Luke decided ”Yes”. Which led to him coming out as bi to his family. So his family decided to try and help him ask you out.

They all had different ideas for what he could do, Claire suggested he writes a speech about how much he loves you, Cam suggested he sets up a moonlit dinner for two with romantic music and he gives you a big rose bouquet and all that stuff and Gloria said he should get you a gift of you like to show how much cared.

But Luke decided against all that stuff and wanted to do it his own way, which slightly worried Claire as she thought he might end up starting a fire or something.

When Luke decided it was time to ask you out he approached the door of your house, what he didn’t know though was that his whole family was watching while hidden.

He knocked on your door and when it opened he was met with your face. ”Hey Luke, what’s up?” you asked your friend.

”My family is out, they said they were going to go buy gardening tools, which is a bit strange since the gardening store is closed this late” Luke informed you. ”So i wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a date with me at my house to play the new Batman Arkham game, i got your favorite pizza” he continued.

”Wait?… Like a date date” you asked a bit confused. ”Yeah” he nodded happily. ”Uhh… Yeah i’d love that” you said a bit giggly. Luke then reached out his hand to you which you happily took and the two of you walked over to his house hand in hand.

Meanwhile in the bushes outside your house Cam, Gloria and Haley started planning your wedding.

Haley was going to say something but Luke called you but you didn't pick up. Luke thinks you are ignoring him and he looks at the time, it's close to midnight.

“He didn't answer your call?” Haley asked.

“That means he is angry at me. I need to make it right. But I don't know what to do or how to make it up to him” Luke said.

Luke starts to think.

“Maybe Manny can help. He is the romantic type” Haley said.

Haley called the family for a meeting, Luke is still panicking. They do help calm down and it's working. Now everyone has ideas for the anniversary, Luke doesn't know what to do yet because everyone has ideas.

“Remember when first met at the gift shop?” Luke asked.

“Yes, I remember. I used to work at the gift shop, you asked if the shark tooth necklace is real” You laughed.

“I got this for us,” Luke said.

Luke bought matching shark tooth necklaces, you couldn't stop smiling. Later, the second stop is the movie theater where he asked you to be his boyfriend. But you and Luke went to see the movie Black Widow.

After the movie, you and Luke went to Neptune Diner, where the relationship became serious and asked you to meet his family. You and Luke like the waffles and milkshakes they make. You and Luke take pictures together and of each other.

“I got this for you, y/n,” Luke said.

You opened the gift bag and he got your favorite plush and candies. There is a card and you opened it, he wrote how much he loves you.

“Wow, Luke this is the best gift ever,” You said.

“I meant every word in that card. Alex did help with the spelling” Luke said.

“That's nice. Yeah, I noticed she helped because you always misspell that word” you smiled.

He kissed you and you blushed. You gave him your gift and he loved it, he gave you a tight hug.

“Thanks, babe!” Luke smiled and kissed your cheek.

Later, you and Luke went to play at the arcade. Luke said ‘I love you for the first time on the ferries wheel but the Carnival isn't in town. But you and Luke wanted to have some fun.

You and Luke get competitive while playing games. You and Luke don't get mad at each other while playing, you two just get cocky.

“You are going to lose badly against me,” Luke said.

Luke is happy to be alone with you for the weekend. You rented a small house on Airbnb close by the beach. You and Luke haven't had much alone time in a while, once arriving at the house you and Luke start to explore the house. Later, changed and packed a few things and went to the beach. Luke helps you put sunblock on your back and shoulders while you put lotion on your chest. You did the same for Luke then he takes a selfie with you. Then you and Luke head to the water and the water is very cold.

“Should we go in deeper into the water?” You asked.

You and Luke did trade snow cones, he was about to kiss you but a group of girls approached you and Luke. The girls start to flirt with you and Luke, it's starting to make you uncomfortable but you didn't say anything. You see Luke smiling and girls keep flirting.

Luke leans in and says “just go with the flow”
