it had started out small, like super small. 

benjamin had kindly opened a door for you, he had also slid his hand down to the small of your back and had guided you through as you walked in front. 

with a rushed thank you, you scuttered back to your room, leaning against the back of your front door as it shut behind you. your hands pressed to your cheeks, still slightly smiling.

next, it had been him correcting your posture as he trained you one-on-one. 

how his hands brushed against your hips.

how he was so close that you could feel his breath slightly graze across your face, which made you wobble on your feet a bit. he of course balanced you back out again, making sure you were alright, only replying with a timid nod before continuing.

the two of you grew closer after you had gotten settled into the kingdom, ben being only a couple of years older made it a perfect excuse for you both to get to know each other better.

that leads to now. you had a bad dream. it had felt so real. you had knocked on his door looking for some sort of comfort. 

not hearing any movement in the room, you knocked a little louder, careful not to try and wake up henry.

after a little while you had finally heard the sound of soft footsteps make their way to the door and sure enough it was benji. a very sleepy one at that.

“i’m really sorry, i didn’t wanna wake you b-but—” that’s when the tears started falling down your cheeks again, he immediately brought you inside and wrapped his arms around you, your shoulders shook as you cried into his chest.

actually feeling him made you feel a bit better, knowing he was alright. you both had stood there in the same position for a couple of minutes, ben stroked his fingers through your hair letting you know that he was there and that everything was okay.

later pulling back, sniffling still. you looked up at him, only a candle lit the room, but you could still see the worry and sincerity in his eyes as he wiped the tears away from your own.

“you know you can always come to me no matter what, and no apologising for the way you’re feeling, i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again,” he whispers.

he had grasped your hand in his and led you over to his unmade bed, sitting close.

“it’s honestly really stupid— i had a bad dream. a horrible, horrible dream. a group of us had gone out on a supply run, including the both of us. as we w-were getting things, a herd h-had swarmed us from the back of the place.

i was looking for you, i couldn’t see you anywhere. that’s when i-i heard your screams behind me, you were being torn apart by them. there was so much blood and i c-couldn’t help you, somebody was dragging m-me away from you. it felt so real ben. i was so s-scared.” the tears had resurfaced. benjamin just pulled you closer to him.

“it’s okay y/n, i’m here. i am so sorry you had to wake up like that, but i’m very much still here, see?” he grasped your hand in his and placed it on his chest, feeling his heartbeat pound against your palm.

you smiled up at him, hand still pressed there.

thump. thump. thump.

“ben?” 

“yes y/n?”

“why is your heart beating so fast?”

Guys I’m about to finally finish I’m In The Band after 13 fucking years 😭

I missed the finale when it premiered and Disney erased the show from existence almost immediately after so I haven’t been able to find it anywhere (and I’m not paying for it on iTunes).

But then I accidentally stumbled across a site that had the entire show for free so I’ve been rewatching it slowly over the last 2 weeks and I’m finally at the finale I’m gonna cry I’ve spent the majority of my life (I’m 25) trying to find this show to finish it and now I’m finally able to, though I am lowkey sad I’m finally finishing it too.

But since it got canceled abruptly the finale isn’t technically the finale since it doesn’t wrap anything up and the show itself sort of existed in a vacuum (like SpongeBob) where you could watch it in any order (barring the pilot) and you wouldn’t be lost or lose any story arcs (although I guess it’s a little more episodic in s2 since they get the record deal in ep4 but it’s not that bad) so I can just put on an older episode and it’s like nothing happened 😂

I know like literally no one on here even knows what I’m talking about or what the fuck this show is but just know I am still obsessed with it and have been since 2009 and I’m sure but I needed to get this out bc no one I actually know irl cares but at least on here I can pretend 😂

But also like if there is actually someone here who knows about this show/likes this show and wants to talk about it my dms and inbox are wide open plz talk to me about it idc I am here I am ready I am willing 👍

of fucking course, the apocalypse happens as you actually go out for once.

shit, shit, shit. the thought pounds in your head as you peer around a wall towards the police station, crank that blaring from a car stereo in the near distance.

the sounds of groaning and shuffling feet make your skin crawl - noticing the glass doors were open and very much smashed. as you leant further out to get a better look, your shirt was pulled back and you were pushed up against the same wall you were looking over.

getting ready to scream but a hand quickly covered your mouth silencing most of noise, opening your eyes to be met with another pair - soon shutting up but your breathing was still heavy as the same boy checks if the coast is clear.

as you were in no apparent danger you licked the stranger's hand to get him away from you, soon regretting it and spitting out saliva.

“ew dude! what the fuck?” the brunette grimaced, whilst wiping his hand on his khaki shorts, realising there were three others, two boys and a woman, “yes cause jump scaring a person is definitely the best way to get someone's attention when there’s fucking zombies roaming around?”

your conversation - more like argument catches a couple of the creatures’ attention, you all ran back to the run-down car. they didn’t bother to discuss the situation and to just get out of their as fast as possible.

as you made your way out of town, the sky had darkened and the stranger's friend who you had soon discovered his name was ben - had fallen asleep beside the two of you, whilst denise drove and augie sat in the passenger’s seat.

you and carter had sat in a comfortable silence, him looking out of the window and you were you were staring at your hands, still trying to wrap your head what was going on. 

“are you okay?” carter spoke quietly from beside you; you give him a tight lipped and nodded, “i guess as best as i can be after all this has happened.”

he looks away but you're still glancing over at him, eyes scanning over his features, one thing you’ve noticed from the beginning is that he has such pretty eyes, a deep hazel. 

you stayed like that for a couple of minutes. however, that was cut short since he had turned back over to you, you whipped your head back around to the front of the car. a deep blush spread across your cheeks.

you feel him lean more into your side and whisper into your ear, “you’re not so bad yourself babe.” you turned your head to disagree, but all you could do was splutter noises of outrage knowing you had gotten caught, he just laughed at your expression.

why did someone so annoying have to be so pretty?
