Working With Selections
Lesson 3 focuses on working with the selection tools to do likes like cut, rotate, scale, position, duplicate and how to add and subtract from selections.

Review Questions
Once you’ve made a selection, what area of the image can be edited?
The area that can be selected or edited in within the selection box.
How do you add to and subtract from a selection when using a tool such as the Quick Selection or Lasso tool?
To add or subtract from a selection click add or subtract from the options bar then click on the selected area.
How can you move a selection while you’re creating it?
You can move the selection while using it by holding down the spacebar and in some instances the alt key on windows.
What is the difference between the Quick Selection tool and the Object Selection tool?
The quick selection tool will attempt to detect edges while the object selection tool will attempt to recognize subjects like people.
How does the Magic Wand tool determine which areas of an image to select? What is tolerance, and how does it affect a selection? The magic wand selects nearby pixels in similar colors. Tolerance value determines how many colors the magic wand tool will select. The higher the tolerance, the more tones are selected.

Daily Om- Lesson 3 What is Missing?
What is it that you feel is missing from your life right now? List as many or as few items as you like.
Freedom, I feel locked into the jobs I have because I need to survive and make money so that I can afford to do things I want to do in the very small amount of time I do have.
Love, I'm so full of anger its become quite isolating, I think its necessary for a time so I can figure out why im so angry but I don't want to forget how much I love people.
A Plan, so many things I want to do and try but id like it to be better mapped out so I can focus on the steps to get there.
Is there something that you had in the past that you wish you still had?
I wish I still had my grandee
Do you feel like you are simply destined not to have some of the things you may want out of life? Where did this belief come from?
I feel like I am not destined to have a “normal’ family situation that many people seem to idolise, mainly because I need have had anything like it and observe other people and I just see so many flaws and underlying issues and I just think that I would end up preferring to be alone anyway.

Any and every traumatic life even connected to a family or partner dynamic

Why do you think this thing is missing? (lack of time, finances, energy, etc.). Try to find as many "reasons" as you can.
all of those things listed but overall confidence is the main one, followed closely by procrastination

Technology improves the learning environment for students. It enables us to be creative and think outside the box. Through the use of ICT, we become innovative, resilient, and flexible learners amidst the global crisis. It helps us to become competitive and boost our self-esteem by using our own ways of acquiring knowledge.
Therefore, I interviewed seven students from different schools in different year levels to find out how technology helps them in their studies. 📖

ACTIVITY #3 - Information Collection
After asking three teachers and 5 students about the importance of technology in teaching and learning respectively, here are the information that I have gathered.
What are the behaviors you observed from your students after using technology in teaching?
They are more interested and involved in the class, they can easily understand the lessons if I use a video presentation in our topics in Science and Mathematics

In fact technology has been a great tool for learning. It makes fast dilivery of the content leading to mastery, therefore they feel much comfortable and convenient.

My students are more focus excited and enthusiastic to learn because they are exposed to these catchy and flashy teaching instructional materials compare with the traditional visual aids. They seem to be more relax and enjoy learning experiences because of this new technologies.

Why do you think technology is important in your studies?
It helps us to study easier, we all know that gathering information and data is hard especially without the advancement of technology instead of going to libraries and search in different books, now we can just type, click and then copy paste. It allows us to minimize the work and time. For me, technology has a huge role in our modern society, in all field it is very useful.

Well, let’s be honest, technology is very useful especially for students like me. It is important in my studies because it helps me receive and gain information faster. It is also an invention that helps students communicate online whenever there is an upcoming report or review.

Technology has made our learning much easier and more flexible. Modern technology created the opportunity for us to use different devices such as mobile phones, laptops, and computers. These devices allow us to utilize software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel that let us organize important documents and presentations. Also, search engines like Google and Yahoo can be used to look for credible information, tutorials, and even illustrations with only one click.

Let's always remember that change is inevitable. In this modern world, technology is continuously and rapidly developing and innovating. Our lives today also depends on technology, because in all sectors of our society or community we rely on the utilization of technological advancements and inventions. When it comes to my studies, technology is widely used in all of my subject courses. All of them requires an integration of technology because we are now considered as 21st century learners and we are expected to have the knowledge and skills in using different gadgets, media, websites and etc. Hence, technology became one of the significant tools or ways today in able to gain more knowledge and to hone different skills that will be beneficial to our future career path.

ACTIVITY #3: INFORMATION COLLECTION
This activity will allow you to get information from teachers and students on the importance of technology in teaching and learning respectively.
A. Teachers (at least 3 teachers)
Interview Question: What are the behaviors you observed from your students after using technology in teaching?
DONNA TUAZON
The impact on behavior relies on the amount of time spent using technology as well as what those reasons were. If they were educational, then using technology for education would have a positive impact because it would encourage curiosity that technology alone could not satisfy. However, if it is used for entertainment, games, and unlawful activities. Then that will produce bad behavior.
CONTESSA ALCAZAR
Students rely on their device to download lesson materials. The act of taking notes became less common. Students typically conduct their research online, which reduces their propensity to visit libraries. When prioritizing activities, students divided their concentration and attention.
ZALDY LAZARA
Students become more interested in learning and are able to understand difficult lessons. They enjoy learning and have easier access to to explore concepts so they become dependent to technology.

Interview Question: Why do you think technology is important in your studies?
ROBENEL CONTE (URS MORONG)
I truly believe that technology, particularly electronic devices such as laptops and mobile phones, was an excellent tool for attending online meetings and keeping up with lessons by browsing the internet and watching instructional videos.
JAY LORD MISSION (PUP)
We can't deny our dependence to technology in today's period because of its own exclusive benefits to acquire, exchange and develop ideas for certain topics. This is also a reason why innovators expands and apply their specialties to enhance and improve the current technology to be more convenient, aiding the people, especially the students to their study. Furthermore, technology has become the student's indispensable utility to acquire knowledge for almost everything in a moment, giving more time to study and apply their knowledge into practices.
RAYMOND JAVIER (PUP)
Technology is very important in my studies because it helps me to obtain the information I need instantly. Also, with the help of technology, I can easily validate whether the information I get is legitimate or fake. It is convenient because you can do different tasks simultaneously and fast at the same time. Technology makes my life easier but still has negative effects, especially on my health. That's why I limit using it as much as possible.

Innovations, creations and technology; in many ways it provided a glimpse of what lies ahead. It granted us the simplest way to acquire knowledge, it has given us the opportunity to continuously improve. It opens a whole bunch of pathways for us to redesign how to learn, redeploy our enlightenment with what we really need to sustain our never-ending thirst for knowledge and innovation. As students, technology amplified our capabilities to study and completely understand all the learnings we can come into possession of. Lastly, technology made it possible for us to utilize the knowledge we have for the profession we pursue.

It is indeed that technology is important in my studies because it allows me to access salient and necessary information that'll assist me to understand more the specific topic of our lecture. It also helps me to be more critical thinker in all aspects.
