ACTIVITY #3 - Information Collection

After asking three teachers and 5 students about the importance of technology in teaching and learning respectively, here are the information that I have gathered.

What are the behaviors you observed from your students after using technology in teaching?

They are more interested and involved in the class, they can easily understand the lessons if I use a video presentation in our topics in Science and Mathematics

In fact technology has been a great tool for learning. It makes fast dilivery of the content leading to mastery, therefore they feel much comfortable and convenient.

My students are more focus excited and enthusiastic to learn because they are exposed to these catchy and flashy teaching instructional materials compare with the traditional visual aids. They seem to be more relax and enjoy learning experiences because of this new technologies.

Why do you think technology is important in your studies?

It helps us to study easier, we all know that gathering information and data is hard especially without the advancement of technology instead of going to libraries and search in different books, now we can just type, click and then copy paste. It allows us to minimize the work and time. For me, technology has a huge role in our modern society, in all field it is very useful.

Well, let’s be honest, technology is very useful especially for students like me. It is important in my studies because it helps me receive and gain information faster. It is also an invention that helps students communicate online whenever there is an upcoming report or review.

Technology has made our learning much easier and more flexible. Modern technology created the opportunity for us to use different devices such as mobile phones, laptops, and computers. These devices allow us to utilize software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel that let us organize important documents and presentations. Also, search engines like Google and Yahoo can be used to look for credible information, tutorials, and even illustrations with only one click.

Let's always remember that change is inevitable. In this modern world, technology is continuously and rapidly developing and innovating. Our lives today also depends on technology, because in all sectors of our society or community we rely on the utilization of technological advancements and inventions. When it comes to my studies, technology is widely used in all of my subject courses. All of them requires an integration of technology because we are now considered as 21st century learners and we are expected to have the knowledge and skills in using different gadgets, media, websites and etc. Hence, technology became one of the significant tools or ways today in able to gain more knowledge and to hone different skills that will be beneficial to our future career path.

1.- PERCEPTION V.S. REALITY

It is important to confirm that the plan outlined is still the appropriate one to achieve the best results. Are key audiences still being prioritized appropriately?

Well, Steve Jobs in this video shows us that his products have been made according to the customer's needs. In the past you had to use 3 different devices to get the desired function for each and now you can get all that in only one.

2.- CONSISTENCY IN THE MESSAGE

Emphasize that audiences need to know how a company can benefit them. The message varies depending on the type of audience.

In this video Steve Jobs makes noticeably clear why they are making the iPhone, as it facilitates communication for all people, besides that it has a wide variety of functions and the most important thing that is an easy device to handle.

3.-RIGOR IN ANALYSIS

Your company´s reputation depends on the opinions of multiple people, like employees, investors, journalists, customer, and the community. The confidence you convey to your audience.

Steve Jobs in the video speaks with great emotion and empathy that makes people more interested in the subject and the product, plus it conveys security in what he is saying as he has the necessary experience and knowledge in this area.

4.-TRUST BUILDING

Find out a balance between building reputation and trust in your stakeholders. Your company will have a favorable reputation because audiences are much more receptive to being validators of someone they trust. Trust that you transmit to your customers through your company.

Steve Jobs says it in a very convincing way that they will reinvent the phone and that causes great security in customers, besides that it has great benefits and improvements than other cell phones, also it has more functions and better quality.

5.- APPROPRIATE IMPACT

Being clear about how, when, and where it is important to connect with audiences to meet business and communication objectives.

Steve Jobs was able to communicate in an excellent way with the audience, as he mentioned several important points about the iPhone and its evolution in such a simple way that people were so focused that they were enjoying it.

The value of being a media and information literate individuals  since in the beginning, we people started sharing with imformation  from tribal age , pre Industrial Age,Industrial Age,electronic age and  Information Age. they  always keep updated And to be prepared in a problems that coming so that  we could adapt the different situations Like problems. The value of being a media and information literate individuals can helps us In our modern minds to become functional, efficient, and skillful in both the physical and Digital  society. Value of being a media and information literate individuals is important Because they give us knowledge and information on how to deal with things. Being a  media and information literate  they develop a person’s skills  such as critical thinking for effective use for the other information. Strolling around the CBD area this afternoon trying to take some pictures here and there. People were looking at me weird but doing this was so enjoyable! I couldn’t care less honestly. This reminded me of the first class, activities like this always make me realize how ignorant I am to my surroundings. It isn’t an everyday thing to look at things and see if it forms any alphabets but i think it is healthy for us to always find inspirations even from the smallest things we encounter in our daily life.

Just Muggle Things

I decided to combine my answers for activity 3 and 4, because I think they are related and I also wanted to discuss one subject only. Harry Potter is very popular because people found magic interesting. Some also can relate to the struggles of the protagonist, being highlighted by the fantastic writing of scriptwriters and the author. 

With that being said, I used to love reading Harry Potter books made by JK Rowling. That is, until the author started giving out many interpretations of the work, even after the series has ended. In my opinion, giving out too many details suffocates the viewers and leaves their imagination dry.

What disturbed me the most was revealing Dumbledore’s sexuality after the canonical publication of the books and film showings. While I wholeheartedly agree that the LGBTQ+ community should get representation, I can’t help but question the author, why just now? It would have been beautiful and more empowering if it was revealed in the duration of all the movies and books.

I would personally recast the character of Hermione Granger, because I always thought she was a black woman due to her descriptions found in the canonical text. It was also confirmed by JK Rowling herself, albeit only at the end of the series like Dumbledore’s sexuality.  Some changes made by the directors were helpful, some were not. It was also phenomenal to watch Alan Rickman portray Snape. 

It is very necessary to hold space for other interpretations for any movie, ad, or songs to have a wider understanding of the issues it tries to portray or represent. If one only accounts for the author’s lenses, it may lessen misinterpretations but limits the pool of information one can use as a reference. It sucks the fun out of these forms of art. Finally, there may be subconscious interpretations the author is not aware of, and it may be helpful if they consider other external points from their perspective to improve their craft and cater to their audience.

The Golden Memoir It was somewhere in August 2021 around 3pm at barangay F.S Catanico this is the final battle between us squad Nekoma. It was a Mobile Legends tournament. black is our lucky charm. Being the Champion is why this is the golden memoir. So this is my best and memorable event in my life it’s because I made a new bunch of friends not just because we all love playing this game but we have all something in common we all laugh in the same language, we can talk for hours, when one of us having problems we give advice to each other, teamwork and we created a bond that no one can make us say the word ‘ I’m Done’ . Sure they say boys cant be friends with girls but for us we don’t mind the age, gender and status in our life its funny we don’t feel the same way like other friends in a romantic way. I love how we make some memories because ever since that day that picture was taken I never lonely anymore.

Isa lang naman ito sa aking mga lugar na napuntahan sa ating bansa.Napakaganda ng mga tanawin dito,hindi lang tanawin ang maganda dito kundi pati ang mga kaugalian ng mga mamamayan dito .Napakaraming makikitang nakakaginhawa sa mata katulad ng mga palayan nila na napakalaki at linis,at ang mumura pa ng mga bilihin sa kanila katulad ng mga damit,tinapay,daing,fried siopao,atbp.

At ang pinaka masaya kong napuntahan dun ay ang isang isla na kung saan napaka linaw ng tubig at mababaw pa at napakaputi pa ng buhangin. At katamtaman lng ang lamig ng tubig.Maraming ring lugar kung saan maganda ang mga shots o kuha sa camera.

We all know that we live in place where full of information may be bad or good that everything moves fast including the news and information that can we get through radio, television, computer, newspaper, magazine, and cellphone, technology advancement is extremely evolving year by year because of the people who live in doing the job to published information, theirs a lot of information in the media. Both media and technology upgrade together in a way that we can easy to access information in just using technology, even though that is the cause you still need to understand and evaluate the information to avoid harm and always put in your mind that don’t plagiarized others work if theirs no consent with the owner, also you can use some tools and skills the information that you get or gathered from the media. It is really important to us students to become a media and information literate individual, so that we can easily seek for answers and some information that we needed and light up your intelligence provided by the media that we use in our studies. Media and information Literacy does not only help us in organizing ideas but also we can gain information that needed and that will also give a big help to others.

Becoming media and information literate individual is an honor because they are the the interpretation machine to give a legitimate and truthful information that can we use to discover some information that can harm others we can always put in mind that we can help them in raising our voices and express what is right. As a responsible citizen, we should always pick only what is right and credits information for a better understanding of situation. It goes Beyond our limits to advocate, interpret and create media and media information this is our duty to recognize information when needed and use it precisely. It is so important to avoid fake news, misinterpretation and misunderstanding information that could cause argument and harm. Media and information coms hand in hand, and both of them are great. And lastly because of social media our power and responsibility becomes larger and powerful because of the help by the people who valued the media and information literate. Be skillful, Be mindful and always choose the right pick cause our world need it, be a good influence to all new generation in how to be a good media and information literate.

In this fast-changing world each one of us has a vital role, the most common things we can done is to share information, but in sharing communication we must evaluate them if they are accurate and relevant. Nowadays a lot of information we can see in media but not all are true. We must do the act of think before you click. In order to help we must know how to recognize facts and to understand it.Exchanging of thought is rampant and we need to be a good individual.

We can't deny the fact that we lived in a world where technology is anywhere, even kids are now smart enough to use gadgets. A world where everything can be access through internet. Where the communication happened in just a couple of seconds. Where information is done through a simple click and tap, in this generation where information can be seen anywhere we need people who is truthful enough to share information,who is responsible enough to help others. We need a person who is smart and reliable enough to understand information a some who is skillful enough to evaluate. A person who knows how to face problems and find ways, a person who respect different opinions, consider judgement of others and a someone who can show compassion and care to others and it's what we called the MEDIA INFORMATION LITERATE INDIVIDUAL.

How to become a literate person? How to be responsible? What are the characteristic and qualities that needed to consider our selves as a literate individual?

So we must know what medium to be used. First we must know where a certain information came from, a person who is not biased. To consider a person who is literate we must know how to evaluate information and know how to understand every part of the concept. A person can be literate if that person know how to be responsible to what he/she shares online, the goal is to think before we click. A literate person should not easily judge instead listen, respect and understand opinions. Even if there is a problem a literate person must know how to face it, a literate person should know how to find ways. A literate person should know how differentiate facts and jokes,no one will make means if he don't intend to help other peoples. Being a media and information literate should know how to shared information through media through a certain medium (printed, internet , videos). Not everybody is the same perspective from you, a literate person must be very careful because you might hurt others, a literate person know how to consider others,. A literate person know how to think, know how to open to give and receive constructive criticism, a literate person know how to help and understand the goals and skills of being a media and information literate individual. Being responsible doing stuff online and has a critical thinking to analyzed information.

A literate person doesn't limit the information within themselves instead they share it to others. Media an information literate individual are responsible and a person who is able to hurdle all the tasks. And they should be valued because they are the model that other person's wanted to be. Media and information literate individual is important because they play a vital role in our society, their critical thinking is the need of everyone, their information is the one who will change the perspective of others.

If you want change in this world,be the person that our society needs, be the change, be a media and information literate individual.
