in light of blade canonically having a drivers license, designated driver!blade

he drives you home when you're drunk (he acts annoyed but he's turning on the heater in his car and putting his jacket over you like tucking you under a blanket and putting the cat neck pillow you left in his car on you and changing the radio station to one that's playing soft tunes and turning the volume down)

he picks you up from failed dates (not knowing if he should be relieved that it failed or be sad because you look sad + he threatens to hunt down your date and beat them up if you share that they said smth rude)

he magically appears with his car when you're stranded in the rain despite not telling him about your situation (consensually having each other's locations on and him noticing that there's heavy rain where you are and immediately hops into his car to get to where you are before kafka can even finish her quip about how he would never have That level of urgency if the rest of them were stuck in the rain)

designated driver!blade who, whenever you offhandedly mention going somewhere, will always check his phone for the distance and predicted weather in that area. past a five minute walking distance? already grabbing his keys for the car to drive you there before you can even stand up. oh, there's at least a 10% chance for rain? don't worry! he already grabbed an umbrella and is now on his way to make sure the car roof is up and that the wipers actually work! you're running late for something and need to be there asap? well, what's a few speed limits against his indomitable will to see you happy?

resistance is futile, you realised during the early days when he started this habit. even if you were to protest and make the rational argument of "it's literally around the corner" or "public transport exists for a reason", he will merely give you a withering, deadpan stare before continuing his way to the car knowing you don't have the heart to leave him waiting there despite all your protests. it's come to a point where you don't even have to announce you're going somewhere for him to know, merely getting the keys and following you out as you resign to your fate of having blade as your personal chauffeur.

(though you have to admit, his song choices are pretty banger, and he has definitely saved you from some tough situations more times than you can count with his rather impeccable timing.)

Her heart sings the ode of love and compassion, bringing the beauty of the world into this land of apocalypse. Elysia softly hums while being inside Eden’s room, doing some small dances here and there while her beloved Golden Star was sitting on the chair at the small table. The tea has already been finished, the sky outside is dark with stars shining brightly and beautifully. What a delightful time, what a beautiful night, what a glorious tomorrow it will be. No matter what others were struggling with, they were looking forward and they were moving towards their destined tomorrow. It made Elysia look at all of them with love and adoration that no one will ever look at them from heavens, even if they will be tarnished and tainted, she’ll love this humanity no matter what will happen. These pure beings, these delightful existences, these lives that were shining so brightly in the eye of the one who lived and loved and remained. 

 Eden’s words only make her heart flutter as she stops in her small dance, opening the blue eyes with a pink iris to showcase the tenderness only allowed for the bearer of Gold. The art, the culture, the beauty were all combined in Eden alone and she shined as the star that led Elysia towards the destined love, she was her soulmate and she was her beloved. Her heart longed for the sound of the songstress’ voice and so did Elysia approach her, on those tiptoes at first, playful in her actions. As if the gentle spring breeze, she would then reach out her hand to caress Eden’s cheek, basking in the delight of this blessing. This melodic voice, this golden gaze, this tender smile and these loving words—all of it made the pinkette feel loved, adored, treasured, and remembered. No matter what, she knew, Eden will remember her and it made the heart of the (First) Herrscher swell. 

“My dearest Eden,” she begins, gently letting her thumb caress the skin of the other once more while looking deeply into those eyes. Eden’s sitting certainly helps with the height difference, allowing the pink fairy to have a rare opportunity to look at the other from above. It was such a rare moment, but one she relished in delighted. With her gaze now half-lidded, Elysia’s gaze softens considerably and lacks that playfulness, instead giving the chance for her immense love and warmth in regards to Eden to shine through, bloom like the prettiest flower on this planet. “Without you, there would be no Elysia as I am today.”

It is a tender confession. The memory of their first meeting, the play Eden showcased will forever live in her memory. It is a memory where their threads intertwined and Ellie - without a doubt - fell in love with the gorgeous star on the stage. The experience was one of the most important ones that have established the person that is Elysia today, an experience that helped her gain the sense of “self” and helped her “love” this world as much as she did. This maiden of melodies and poetry was the embodiment of beauty, the golden apple of immortality that she wished will forever remain shining. No matter what. Though, Elysia understands that struggles of Eden: the wine glass on the table showcases it all too well; thus, the maiden of origin would lean forward just to bit to press her lips to the crown of the older woman’s head. A gentle peck, a symbol of adoration before distancing and once again smiling happily at the other, now wider than before. 

“I will always be with you. No matter what,” she utters, pressing another kiss to the other’s forehead, then cheek, and then finally to her lips. This sweet sensation making her elven ears twitch, but Elysia doesn’t wish to close her eyes before the other, all to remember the sight so beautiful and so magical it would leave anyone breathless. “My dearest, most precious Eden. A part of my heart and my soul, all will forever remain within you.”
