Au idea: Little Naruto raised by a shulk, Kurama made contact very early and kept the boy company and eventually Naruto disappeared into the forest to live with fox summons. He only ever really showed up to steal or pull pranks but he disappeared right into the summons realm before anyone could catch him.
When the Genin are ready to graduate Naruto is just there, with his wild hair and fox aunt.
Iruka doesn’t know how to respond to this, he’s blue screened.

idk if this is an unpopular opinion or wtv but like naruto and sasuke’s respective traumas are super integral to their stories because their entire personalities would’ve been completely different if they hadn’t gone through what they went through. it’s fine when ppl write their families to still be alive but then they write the two of them to be the exact same and it irks me sometimes idk

Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my biggest influences. Didn’t watch the anime, but I read the manga from cover to cover countless times. The ending was beautiful. And I love the friendship between Hiei & Kurama. Yoshihiro Togashi is just too brilliant, I accept his inconsistency XD

What is Kishi's reason for doing that, to make Sasuke this way (seductive portrayal or sexualization), Sasuke also went through a lot we don't know about in those 3 years with Orochimaru, so maybe even the perception of him and his body has changed and he hasn't talked about it. The way he talked to Naruto with his shirt open and whispered in his ear was very seducing. Had Sasuke done something like that to the other girls, the scene would have been hailed as the hottest scene in the manga/anime. In part 1 we saw Sasuke as an introverted person, but in part 2 everything changed...wearing a chest-revealing outfit that gives off a seductive vibe....and he got really close to Naruto and speaks next to his ear. After watching the reunion arc, I thought that the change in Sasuke's behavior was due to Orochimaru's influence. After a long time we see Sasuke and how he appeared in that scene was like a wh*re!
Umm seductive ≠ whore.
Kishi mentioned he wanted Sasuke to look "kakkoii" so he gave him that design with open shirt but he also mentioned he gave Sai open belly to make him "kakkoii"... so I guess kakkoii here is just a family friendly word for sexy. And he would do it just because it's attractive to him, like many other mangakas.
Tumblr media
Sasuke is seductive because he likes Naruto, no other reason. He can't help himself but get close to him. There has been couple years since they last saw each other. His understanding has also no doubt evolved. Of course Sasuke also knows Naruto cares about him a lot. But he's taunting him. Look at you chasing after me, do you like me that much you'll waste your dream? It's funny. Even the build up to this scene is so intense with them, Kishi makes sure to put the focus on them staring at each other only. To make sure we understand who Sasuke also focuses on. And then we have Kurama tell Sasuke to not kill Naruto or he'll end up regretting it, and Sasuke staring at Naruto for so long Yamato uses it to his advantage. How embarrassing for Sasuke.
Tumblr media
Even when they leave, Sasuke only looks at his boyfriend for the last time <3 Kishi is very clear with his visual language.

They want Sakura to be relevant so bad 😂
This manga is KILLING them
Like really who would’ve thought Sakura would fade into obscurity like that after the (fake) promises Kishimoto made to make her equal to Naruto and Sasuke.
Yet here we are.
Naruto is relevant because he’s the title characters father and the source of his conflict with Kawaki. Now he has passed Kurama to Hima.
Sasuke trained Boruto and you can see how heavily he influenced his style and personality.
Both are sealed
Sakura ISN’T
We ain’t see the pink bitch since Boruto part one.
EVEN INO MADE AN APPEARANCE because (like I’ve been saying) she has more usefulness than Sakura being the one to be the phone line to the most important people of Konoha.
Sakura punches and heals. And she doesn’t even do it as well as Tsunade.
Tumblr media
THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW HER IN RELATION TO THE DEAD NINJA. Seeing if there are survivors???? Healing them???? Surely if Sakura has surpassed Tsunade she figured out how to heal these kind of wounds or at least have snails out but NOPE
And then the real kicker
Tumblr media
The fact that Hima is getting the spotlight now. You know, THAT *irrelevant* characters daughter?
Remember when they said Himawari was gonna be like her mom (barely having screentime)?
Tumblr media
LOOK AT YOU NOW!
Tumblr media
Maybe it’s time they start sitting this battle out.

lil uzushio anon, and fair tbh. Very fair, the Leaf was/is fucked to hell. It kinda makes me wonder how Mr Foxy didn’t get his claws into Naruto when Naru was little. Being hated as a kid must’ve bred some sort of resentment even if short lived in canon.
I think the canonical explanation is that the seal separating the two was a lot stronger when he was younger. The more he used kurama's power, the easier it was for kurama to exhert his influence. And kurama was saving up his energy so that he could try to launch one big escape attempt

Wait wait wait. I was going through your Team Uzumaki tag after already scrolling through your recent posts.
You have A:TLA and LoZ linked into the Naruto verse.
All it needs is that our Foxy demon is Yoko Kurama.
Maybe he was the OG Gremlin, the Sophisticated Sassy Gremlin… but then he was collateral in Hashirama and Madara’s war against each other and sealed in Moto, and foxes are not meant to be alone, and the isolation drive him mad, so he fought against being resealed in Kushina… he just wanted freedom… but no one would hear his screams.
Fast forward, and his current Holder is so warm to the core of his soul that he feels the warmth on his fur and now he hopes, and dreams of finally escaping.
And then he finally gets to speak to another person, and he can feel Naruto’s affection for his Kits, and for his Precious People. And the madness begins to fade as he finally gets warmth and kindness and he is soothed back to that sophisticated gremlin that he is.
And thus why Naruto is good at growing plants, and after Kurama regains his sanity, his plant growing skills are almost parallel to the Mokoton.
And why he is all in for the Kits trolling Uchiha, because a part of him will always blame Uchiha Madara for his sealing.
OH god yes that would be a fantastic connection to make. Also can I just say that a Naruto with THE Yoko Kurama as a formative influence? Terrifying.
Plus the Kits trolling a dark-haired broody little shit with strange eyes and a habit of setting things on fire? Ah Kurama really does miss Hiei sometimes

Do you ever think about how the two kyubi jinchurikis previous to Naruto were married to a hokage? How the women serving as the recipient of the feared beast were some of the most beloved people of the head of the militar state?
The strongest man in the village marries the deadliest woman in the village and people were like "I trust our leader but I am terrified of his wife".
What about the children?
Not even one mention of how the Uzumaki and Senju kekkei genkais mixed. What about the contrast of the Uchihas marrying within the clan to maximize their sharingan users while the Senjus and the Uzumakis married?
There's no mention either of Hashirama and Mito's kids. Would their mixed blood make them more or less powerful? Would some of them still get the red hair? Would some of them choose to move with the majority of the Uzumaki clan? Would they rather use the last name Senju to prevent getting hunted like their cousins outside of Konohagajure?
Tell me, if Tsunade is a direct descendant of Hashirama and Tobirama, doesn't she also has Uzumaki blood from Mito?
What about the influence?
Mito raises all those children and they knew to fear the kyubi, but how did they feel about the jinchuriki? What about their mother? And how did it shape the way they would later perceive Kushina? How did the Senjus treat Kushina? Was she family to them? Had Mito any influence over how Kushina was raised and trained even as old as she was?
What type of influence did Mito have over Hashirama? Even if she never mediated on the Hokages duties, how her beliefs shaped the beliefs of her children? Of the Senju clan? Of the Uzumakis? Of the people of Konoha? When Hashirama died, did Tobirama pushed aside? Or she retired herself given her age?
When did the Uzumakis and the Senjus disappeared from Konoha? If you follow the Minato one-shot manga recently published by Kishimoto, the Uzumakis were still highly respected on Konoha-- or at least had their own space, a place to keep their legacy and train their own. So when did it all come down and when did the Senju and Uzumaki clans started dying enough to be completely gone when Naruto was born?
The Minato manga shows that Kushina was a reason for him to take certain choices. So did he have a plan to change Konoha to become a place for his wife and son to live happy and not rejected? What type or political changes would he have applied if given the chance?
The only real option to try and make sense of the history of Konoha is if you acknowledge that 1) Tobirama did make the militarization more efficient, but not necessarily made life better for everyone; 2) Hiruzen must be the WORST hokage given his indecision between doing what Tobirama did which would have turned him into Danzo or try to benefit the lives of the people under his commands even if it meant risking Konoha as a militar state.
Then again, what exactly means to have the advice of an Uzumaki woman? How does it change things? Did Mito ever tried to be the mediator between Hashirama and Madara? What could a friendship between Kushina and Mikoto could have changed the future?
Is there something to say about the positions of both Mito and Kushina as women from a clan that's hunted down for their power and that has been turned to weapons/sacrifices? How would their identities parallel the Uchiha clan?
How could this all reflect on the story and the theme of the manga?
Framing Naruto as the survivor of a genocide would have been an amazing point to meet or finally understand Sasuke in his rejection of Konoha. Sasuke saw his clan died but they denied Naruto that knowledge. Sasuke lost it but they didn't even allow Naruto to have it. Sasuke can return to the Uchiha compound and visit the sacred secrets of his people, but the story denied Naruto of that. Itachi cursed Sasuke with his choice to kill the clan in order for Sasuke to live and Konoha to be safe, Minato cursed Naruto by sealing Kurama in him to protect his life and the village. They were manipulated from the start, everyone deciding which parts of the story they got to listen to, never allowing them to decide with eyes wide open. Of course they can speak to each other without words. They don't know how similar their experiences are.
Hashirama and Minato didn't mean for the jinchurikis to be just a weapon of the state (those were their wives!!!!!!!), but Tobirama allowed that to happen and Hiruzen actively dictated rules to make sure it'll be the result (isolating Naruto from the village, like they did with the Uchiha clan). Tsunade only tried to keep things rolling, but she at least can defend with her medical achievement and the fact the system was rotten to the core when she became hokage.
Even Sakura and Hinata benefit from this, both in the deepening of their characters and the canon romantic plotlines. To be soft or wild, to be bullied by others or constantly left behind given their lovers' duties, to be raised under the pressure of a legacy or to be helpless and wanting to stop being a burden, to break the expectations and reclaim your identity, to make your own path and become a great kunoichi who can also love and fight to he loved, to be seen, to be there with the man they love.
Thinking about Mito and Kushina make me spiral because they are so important!!! Yet we don't have many mentions of them!!!! Why!!!!

Hot take: the real reason the 3rd hokage teamed up Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi is so Sasuke would master his sharingan and take control of Kurama.
There was never any expectation for Naruto to control the nine tails chakra, or they would have spent some time training or preparing him before Naruto (by sheer coincidence and through his own insistance, cause his teacher was prioritizing Sasuke) stumbled onto Jiraiya.
Tumblr media
- Naruto only finding out he's a Jinchuriki by complete accident, cause the Hokage forbade anyone to tell him
Tumblr media
- Naruto finding out in a totally unforseen event by his father that Kurama being placed in him was supposed to make him a hero, and not as a curse or punishment like he was always lead to believe
Naruto was only ever meant to be the vessel. Should he lose the reigns on Kurama or not cooperate with the leaf, then Sasuke can just take over.
Kakashi was the only one who could teach Sasuke how to use the sharingan, which is why he was specifically assigned to this team.
Even hotter take: Itachi explicitly instructed Sasuke to kill his best friend in order to activate the mangekyou sharingan and face him. Which would have inevitably been one of Sasuke's teammates, as this boy was left with nothing else.
The third hokage (Danzo and the elders by proxy, cause the old man can't make a decision by himself clearly) definitely knows this. He definitely knows how the sharingan works and how it elevates through extreme emotion, more often by killing a loved one.
Naruto was set up like a pig for slaughter. If it wasn't for Sasuke himself refusing to follow in his brother's footsteps and removing himself from the influence of the leaf village, that would have been the path we ended up facing. If it wasn't for Jiraiya, Naruto would never have begun to access his or Kurama's chakra and just ended up swallowed up by it when he inevitably and unknowingly lost control like with Haku. If it wasn't for Tsunade banging on desks and vouching for Naruto, he would've been locked inside the leaf out of 'protection' from the Akatsuki. If it wasn't for Naruto proving his worth and proving himself indispensible it absolutely would've been Danzo taking over Sasuke's place in controling the nine-tails as soon as his eyes opened.
