The CW really shot itself in the foot by canceling Legends of Tomorrow, Stargirl, Nancy Drew and Kung fu. Those were some of the networks strongest shows, they all had a good amount of seasons and strong loyal fan bases.

Now that I know for sure Kung Fu is done my heart is sad. This show was so special and just overall a joy. The characters, the writing, the costumes and honestly everything about the series was amazing. For the first time I had no issues with a show it was perfect for me. This might be some very good news going on for those putting their hopes on HBO Max with TW and Kung Fu.

The Winchesters in the US is running at 20x on parrot analytics. This is GOOD. Now add in how high TW charted on HBO Max worldwide, where it breathed on GOT's neck. Yes in fact that does make TW desirable to the CW. US domestic streaming value. If it charts that high worldwide, imagine how it would be doing on the cw app. Some of us have pointed that out multiple times, while antis tried to claim the HBO Max worldwide numbers were irrelevant. The US parrot analytic numbers are further proof. However, if keeping the spn IP on its platform doesn't suit CW Nexstar's plans, if they want to ease out of genre, do more sitcoms, and lawyer-cop-firefighter, CW becomes moot, and HBO Max is going to want it. WBD wants that spn universe revenue. This is not in fact a bubble show, it's only a bubble show due to uncertainties in how CW is going to plan its lineup going forward. I haven't been worried about TW, but if anyone was worried it being removed from CW was the end of all things, no, certainly not, and I've said for a while I felt like it would be better for the IP to be on HBO Max not CW.

Kung Fu in the US is running at 16.5x Which also looks to me like good news for Kung Fu and its value to WBD on HBO Max, so I am feeling more and more hopeful about a Kung Fu continuation.

TW and spn universe and Kung Fu, on HBO Max as originals. Let's gooooooooo.

(Gotham Knights might get scooped up by HBO Max too, if CW decides to get out of the superhero game, but the difficulties of predicting there is it's not just about numbers, it's about the creative decisions of Gunn and Safran for their new unified dc universe).
