just another day of losing my mind over the fact how indian cinema refuses to incorporate gender equality by casting actors with 20-30 age gap for onscreen romance

it irks me every single day how female actors are supposed to be young and hot and sexy and star against men twice their age or even more than that

aren’t we in 2022? aren’t the rules of the cinema supposed to be no longer misogynist? like male actors around 60 years old have shared the screen with around 3 generations as their love interest

basically actresses cannot age or they will greet their downfall while their ancient male costars can keep on starring in romantic roles fucking ridiculous

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon recently unveiled the title of their ‘impossible love story’, directed by Laxman Utekar.

Garnering much love was Laxman Utekar when he brought together Sara Ali Khan as the fun-loving Saumya and Vicky Kaushal as the beloved hubby Kapil in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and exploring yet another fresh pairing is the filmmaker and Maddock Films in their next. Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon will be seen coming together for an ‘impossible love story’ and the title of the film was unveiled just a day ago as Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Adding to the anticipation is yet another announcement which was made on January 11 about Shahid’s killer dance moves.

Starting as a background dancer, Shahid Kapoor has always wooed audiences with his dancing skills and yet again he will be seen flaunting the same in a peppy number in his upcoming sci-fi comedy. The makers Maddock Films have unveiled a look of Shahid Kapoor in an all-black ensemble set against a golden backdrop filled with lights, where he is seen featuring a dance step. The poster has garnered much excitement among fans who can’t wait to see Shahid returning in his dance avatar in the upcoming entertainer. His co-star Kriti Sanon shared her excitement in the caption saying, “Can't wait for @shahidkapoor to be back with his killer moves on the dance floor!”

Many of his fans took to the platform to share their excitement about watching Shahid Kapoor dance on the big screen. One of them reminded that it has been a decade since they have seen the actor groove and added, “After 11 years..he is coming back with his dance movesss..... Gonna be a blockbuster loading”. A fan dropped a comment saying, “I can't express how excited I'm to see Shahid Kapoor dance” whereas another one mentioned, “the wait is over , shahid the DANCER is back” .

The sci-fi love comedy starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon has been pushed back to 2024 from its original February 9 release date.

Jyoti Deshpande and Laxman Utekar are producing the untitled project in collaboration with Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

Following the announcements of new release dates for Yodha and Merry Christmas, the makers of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's sci-fi romantic comedy have postponed their film to 2024. The film is set to be released on February 9, 2024, just in time for Valentine's Day. Previously, the film was scheduled to be released on December 7, 2023. According to speculations, the yet-untitled film will star Kriti Sanon as a robot and Shahid Kapoor as a scientist who falls in love with the former. Dharmendra, who plays Shahid's grandfather, is also a part of the project. Over the course of a week, a source close to the production confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that the lead actors were filming a song. According to the source, "a massive set has been built in Mumbai where the song will be shot." It's a wonderful dance track, and we can't wait to see Shahid's dancing magic on the big screen soon." Jyoti Deshpande and Laxman Utekar are producing the untitled project in collaboration with Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, the trailers, the songs and the extensive promotions have caught attention. Content-wise, it promises to be a love story with a difference and now it has come to light that the film also has a surprise for the audience.

It turns out that popular actor Janhvi Kapoor has a special appearance in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. She appears at a crucial juncture in the film and adds a nice touch to the narrative. It’s interesting to note that Janhvi’s presence was well-hidden by the makers and no one ever got the slightest hint of it.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is the second time that Janhvi Kapoor has appeared in a film produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Besides Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya also stars Dimple Kapadia, Dharmendra, Rakesh Bedi and Rajesh Kumar. It is directed by debutant director duo Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. It is produced by Maddock Films, Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios and Laxman Utekar of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023) fame. It tells the story of a young, dashing man who falls in love with a charming, witty lady only to later learn that the latter is a humanoid android robot.
