adipurush should be removed from the theatres. Yes I'm angry and i have a problem with the dialogues. I cannot even imagine bhagwan hanuman saying "tel tere baap ka, kapde tere baap ke, aag tere baap ki toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki". And then the dialogue writer goes on to defend his writing by saying ki 'you're picking up 5 dialogues and targetting me for it". Seriously? Welp honestly while writing the dialogues you should've kept in mind that YOU'RE NOT WRITING DIALOGUES FOR AN ACTOR OR JUST A FICTIONAL CHARACTER!!!!!! YOU'RE WRITING DIALOGUES FOR SOMEONE WHO IS WORSHIPPED BY MANY!!!!!! tbh the whole movie crew(actors, director and the dialogue writer, etc.) took the movie for granted. They treated it just like another bollywood film ignoring the fact that it is the adaptation of RAMAYANA. I said I won't watch it because the trailer looks shit but I had no 'problems' as such with it but now that the dialogues have surfaced, this is plain disrespectful and insulting. If this kind of language was used to form a connect with the youth audience, I'm sorry the youth knows better than this smh they grew up watching the doordarshan waala Ramayana show which actually respected the project.

Nostalgia is an often-underappreciated component in nationalism: a carefully crafted collective yearning for a lost idealised and often non-existent past, used in the service of contemporary political projects. The ‘glorious golden age’ serves to galvanise a particular form of collective social identity that stresses shared cultural heritage for a unified nation. At the same time, nostalgic visions exclude those deemed internal and external ‘others’ responsible for the downfall of this golden age (the Mughal era is currently being removed from the Indian school syllabus). This repurposing and ‘presenting’ of the past – a kind of heritage politics – not only mobilises support for political causes and commercial interests but also provides distraction from bad governance, through the promise and vision of a regenerated past-inspired future, associated with pride and dominance over enemies. Nostalgia, therefore, can be used to build hegemony by nationalist movements and parties, by articulating disparate individuals and groups into a nationalist political identity while marginalising others.

all i rly want to know is who's idea it was for the men in adipurush to wear tank tops. it didn't matter to any of you in those action movies where they do montages of mens' 6-packs etc but in a ramayana movie where there's proof they definitely weren't wearing cotton shirts it's suddenly necessary to cover up using western standards of modesty? give me a break

Since adipurush made everyone talk about Ramayan; here's a rant of my own.
WHY do we scorn Vibhishan? Ghar ka bhedi, step brother, traitor, what haven't we called the man who found dharma and hence Narayan Avtaar Shri Ram? The man listened when no one else did, he realised what and who was right, if he already hadn't. Vibhishan's tale is what happens in Kaliyug, a person on the wrong path by association and ignorance corrects his path by finding God. Why is he scorned for choosing a side that is morally correct? And even if you want to say he's half asur or whatever and he has no morals, or maybe you say that he only grew a moral compass when he was about to die, but what of it? If you were fighting a war that you did not cause and you knew was unjust, why would you fight for the losing side? Being logical may or may not be selfish but it is completely understandable. Vibhishan was a man that helped win the war marginally. He helped kill his brother, his anguish is unparalleled, but remembering a man of honour and righteousness as a traitor, aren't we doing injustice to a man that was a fellow devotee? That went against his dharm as a brother to obey is dharm as a being?

The trailer of Adipurush seems a little (just a little) better than that clownery of a teaser that they released. But,
The frames are soo dark! Idk why, they say that they've spent 700 crores on this but it doesn't feel like that one bit. I don't feel the magic. I've always felt so connected with Hanumanji but I don't feel that connect here. I just don't feel connected to this movie whatsoever. The background score is good (Thanks to Ajay-Atul) but again, that's the bare minimum you can expect from what they call a 'magnum-opus production'.
Our epics deserve better representation.

Holy shit what is up with this adipurush. I don't even speak Hindi fully and I can understand half of the horrible dialogues that Hanuman ji is saying, can't even imagine how bad is the other half. Made Shri Ram some aggressive gangster wala character and that too with a moustache. Showing Sita Maa as this weak character when in reality she lifted the Shiv Dhanush single handedly as a mere child, forgetting that she is Goddess Lakshmi incarnate.
Also they changed the names but to still imply the characters (e.g. Raghav=of the Raghu lineage, janaki=janak's daughter)
And to add insult to injury they think the youth demographic, who are trying their best to understand their religion in this age filled with movies like this, will want to watch this trashy video game waala flop film.

After watching Adipurush, I have a newfound respect for Brahmastra.
I take back everything bad I said about that masterpiece. Yes, it will feel like a masterpiece after you see Adipurush!

DUDE!
DUDE!
Raavan rode the PUSHPAK VIMAN! It was a CHARIOT, it FLEW, it looked LOVELY and ELEGANT! You think the King of Lanka, the kingdom described as being rich and prosperous, would be caught dead riding this ugly ass beast??? If you showed me this picture without any context, I would think it was straight out of some sasta copy of Game of Thrones.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE ANTAGONISTS AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THEM DARK AND UGLY TO SHOW HOW EVIL THEY ARE!!!
