Hot take but I kinda wish people would stop taking q!BBH's words in the most charitable way possible and realise that he has said outright that he thinks very carefully about what he says to people for his own benefit.

q!BBH has said outright that he wants to appear harmless to other people.

I mostly see this happen when he talks with q!Tina and q!Bagi.

Things like him saying saying things like :

"I've been torturing myself to get my kids back"

"I thought kidnapping would solve all my problems but it didn't"

Sure you can think he is being honest here but there is more than enough proof to show that he is kinda twisting the truth here.

The ladder one definitely isn't fully true as when he was interrogated by Fred about the kidnapping, he said that it was all "part of the plan". Clearly him kidnapping Ron or even getting potentially attached to him wasn't an issue. In fact when he states hitches in his plan he only cites the Egg and Forever's disappearance.

The torture thing as well, while most likely 60 pourcent true is again q!BBH kind of twisting the truth to his own benefit.

Again it makes it sound like q!BBH's goal is only to bring back the eggs and that he has no exterior motives which we know isn't true. It also makes the Soul Vultures look like it was simply self harm/accident which we know he clearly needed them for something.

Both of these things have something in common...they both serve to make q!BBH more sympathetic/harmless. That most of his actions are emotional or purely caused by grief which...it probably isn't. There is definitely some premeditated action here especially when he said he had this plan even Before the Eggs disappeared.

Yet again I would like to note that q!BBH has never mentioned torturing a worker even Once. At best he slightly hinted towards it with q!Cellbit.

We saw him use that technic before towards Fred and Tubbo, he is just a grieving parent and he was just being aggressive.

I just feel like all of this is underestimating what q!BBH said to us. Everything is connected and while we don't know how far the puppet strings go they definitely go farther than we think.

I'm not discouraging people from loving q!BBH's friendship with q!Tina and q!Bagi but I'm just saying that people need to be a bit more careful with what q!BBH says.

lol i got decisions back from all four of my grad school apps and none of them were acceptances. i got waitlisted by one and outright denied by the other three. fuck man

#she bork #idk i have mixed feelings bc on one hand after moving once already this year i'm not super keen on moving again like four months from now #and across state lines to boot. i've never REALLY moved like w furniture and i have exponentially more shit to move now than i did as a #freshly graduated teenager and it turned out to be so much more stressful and work intensive than i anticipated. trying to move in one #weekend fucking sucked. on the other hand i do still want to go to grad school and i would never forgive myself if i let one (very small) #failed round of apps derail my plan to get my masters. idk it just sucks bc now it's like on hold bc i clearly need to beef up and #strengthen my portfolio but i hardly ever write anymore bc like who the fuck has the time. so i actually have to get disciplined w writing #more as well as sending out submissions so i can get more publications under my belt. so it's not like i'll automatically just reapply to #more schools next year bc i'm not wasting hundreds of dollars on apps when clearly i need to do some work on my #portfolio. idk it just sucks bc now idk what to do not only if i don't get in but even if i do bc again moving sucks and unless i majorly #downsize before moving again it's gonna be terrible. idk i feel like shit man

To take back the country from climate-denying, abortion-forbidding, homophobic religious fanatics, we need to quit ignoring state governments. State legislatures in particular deserve far more of our attention. It's such attention which has helped flip legislative chambers in the past couple of years in states like Virginia, Michigan, and Minnesota.

In Florida this week a Democrat flipped a seat in a special election for the state House of Representatives. Although the Florida legislature still has a gerrymandered GOP supermajority in both chambers, the Republican defeat comes a day after the poor showing by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the Iowa caucuses.

Florida Democrats kicked off the new year with a major victory as businessman and Navy veteran Tom Keen flipped a Republican-held seat in the state House―a development that represents Gov. Ron DeSantis' second electoral humiliation in the span of 24 hours. Keen defeated his Republican rival, Osceola County School Board member Erika Booth, 51-49 in Tuesday's special election for the 35th House District, a constituency in the Orlando suburbs that Joe Biden carried 52-47. The Democrat will succeed Republican Fred Hawkins, whom Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed in June to serve as president of South Florida State College despite lacking any background in higher education. Republicans will hold an 84-36 supermajority in the state House as well as a similarly lopsided edge in the state Senate, so Keen's victory won't jeopardize the party's iron grip on state government. But Sunshine State Democrats are hoping that this win, which comes less than a year after the party flipped control of the mayor's office in Jacksonville, will give them another chance to convince Biden's reelection campaign and other deep-pocketed organizations that this longtime swing state is still winnable.   Former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, who stumped for Keen over the weekend, is making the same argument as she tries to persuade national Democrats that her campaign against Republican Sen. Rick Scott is worth investing in. She's linked the two races in arguing that Floridians "can’t afford to pay their bills" thanks to "the failed policies" that began while Scott was governor.

WFTV offers this bit of analysis about Democrat Tom Keen's victory.

Digging into the numbers shows Keen overperformed with non-party affiliated voters, winning roughly 65% of the NPA vote, enough to overcome a raw vote lead in the race where Republicans cast some 900 more votes in the contest. Keen also overperformed in Orange County, where he beat Booth by 1,859 votes.

If you're thinking about getting a little more active in politics, becoming a volunteer for a local Democratic candidate for state legislature is an excellent place to begin.
