#K Rool is love k rool is life

Y U KROOL SIMP?
If you mean in sexual way, no. I'm asexual, even for fictionnal characters.
But
if you mean in absolute romantic way where I would do anything for the king, I have heart eyes each time I see him and I love him so much that I create this blog:

A loud (and probably very unnecessary) SLAM can be heard at a poor front door as the loud and proud kremling bursts in. Fluffing his cape in a nonexistent draft of wind and puffing his golden-plated chest, the king clears his throat to make his entrance even more over-the-top than it already was.
Tumblr media
“Step aside and away from the sign ups! Because your soon-to-be winner has just walked in!”
Well, he’s got the spirit. That’s a great start.
“Well isn’t that a rather bold claim! Based on the results from last year, after all!”
As if he was shot by a sudden tingle of embarrassment and guilt, K Rool’s eye began to twitch as heard that remark over his shoulder. At the corner of his other eye, he could see a purple hand hanging onto his shoulder.
Tumblr media
“Unless I’m wrong. That could be another green, scaley and rich guy I could be thinking of. I can’t tell all you kings apart sometimes!”
Just what the king needed. A wise crack to remind him of that humiliating defeat that stained his reputation in the seminar. Not a moment sooner, K Rool jerks his shoulder away from the mage’s grasp.
Tumblr media
“Let’s get one thing straight, greenie! I thought it was a practice round! I’m not playing around this time! Even though I could wipe the floor with you and your hat without even-...”
“Uh, ‘scuse me green guys? Is this where we sign up?”
A squeak broke the kremling’s banter. Who dares oppose the mighty king from a wallop he was about to dish?
Tumblr media
“I mean, this IS the seminar you all are yelling about, right? I got a little lost multiverse hopping around and stuff.”

OK SORRY I WAS THINKING ABOUT THINGS TOO HARD AGAIN here’s an expanded character relationship chart ( there’s placeholders and it’s still not done but here’s a general idea 😭😭) expanded ideas under the cut in case it’s hard to read 😭
- candy, dk , funky and freddie (all childhood friends, grew up together.)
candy + freddie: best friends through and through!! ( Freddie admires her confidence and skills and Candy appreciates his willingness to help his friends and soft heart , but “you gotta stand up for yourself more sweetie.” 😭.) roommates before things started getting serious between freddie and funky.
candy + dk: dated for a point in time but had a mutual breakup, still great friends regardless! ( dk is kinda into people who can kick his ass )
candy + funky: she had the hots for him for a while but he never showed any feelings back. ( she found out he was gay) “OH! Oh, yeah that check out.” she got over him after that. funky appreciates her, one of his closest friends!
freddie + dk: great friends! Freddie had feelings for him but never said anything abt it, thought it wasn’t going to work out so moved on. Dk didn’t realize he had feelings for him until he got with funky ( “why do i feel so jealous?” 🙁 ) figured out that Freddie use to like him at some point and started crying sobbing and throwing up when he realized he fumbled the bag.
funky + freddie: best friends! funky had a crush on freddie for YEARS. he was so down bad abt him and wanted to always make him feel loved and appreciated even if there was the possibility they would never get together. freddie was oblivious to his affections for a bit but started gaining feelings for funky as he noticed the way he treated him as they got older, they want eachother so bad it makes them look stupid. 🫶🏽
Dk + funky: best bros for life!!! funky never noticed any animosity between them and considers dk one of his best friends. dk thinks very highly of funky of course! but he couldn’t help but start getting extremely jealous of funky for getting with freddie after he realized his feelings for him too late. ( biting his fist till it bleeds) “CONGRATULATIONS. IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU…… 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁” ( he then proceeds to drive into traffic)
additional kong relationships!
- freddie + diddy: cousins!! diddy was raised with Freddie when he was born and he has a cool older cousin watching after him always!!! Freddie would kill and die for diddy. that’s his baby cousin 😢😢 when diddy found out funky liked Freddie he was like 🤨. (standing on 5 boxes ) break his heart I will get you. ( He won’t diddy don’t worry.)
dixie + diddy: best friends and first crushes! they’re like 14. watched her punch a guy in the face or something and he started having feelings for her. idk they’re cute 😭😭😭
Blondie (guard kong) + freddie - Freddie befriended him at some point and got to know him!! he’s very kind and he honestly thought he was kinda cute but he probably doesn’t feel that way back so I’m happy being his friend. ^-^ (Blondie in his head) I have loved you for a million lifetimes. He has the biggest crush on freddie but he is not much of a talker and way too shy to ever admit how he feels to him so he will take it to the grave.
( general best friend/ familial relationships between dk/diddy/cranky/dixie/candy/funky/tiny)
bluster + everyone: everyone wants to jump him. kremlings included.
kremling/kong dynamics
everyone can’t stand k. rool he’s literally a public menace.
cranky + k. rool: they had a lil gay thing going on in the 70s and they’re bitter exes now. cranky got over him, k. rool never got over it. “I will torture ur grandson and his friends to get back at you now.”
candy + kalypso- recongnized eachother from the barrel blast completions and were neutral abt eachother even tho they’re on opposite sides. they both ended up being kinda …. “ 😳😳😳” over eachother eventually
funky + kludge + freddie - funky only really saw him as an unserious rival in the barrel blast competitions. Freddie helped Candy during the challenges and never participated….. they both kind where like….. 🧐 hold awn he’s kinda….. Over kludge. kludge does not like the kongs at all so it is not at all reciprocated.

dsmp characters' smash mains
c!Tommy: probably kirby or some shit but I saw this one video of cc!tommy playing Smash with Metaknight and he would literally only use NeutralB to attack and SideB to approach and that has such strong fucking c!tommy energy that I can't stop thinking about it
c!Tubbo: Minecraft Steve. I would fucking hate fighting against him he'd pull off like NIL uptilt-upair chains and kill me at 30 off a bad roll I'd fucking hate his stupid ass steve
c!Wilbur: He doesn't know what the hell he's doing he'd probably just be like "huh, Mario, I know that guy" and then write emo poetry after he falls off the stage three times and Tommy laughs at him for it
c!Dream: Joker (see this post)
c!Quackity: Loves King K. Rool and is actually pretty good but he never plays him because he's a tier whore and is trying desperately to convince people that his aegis has sauce (it doesn't he knows it doesn't he just wanted to play a top tier)
c!Foolish: Always picks Donkey Kong when messing around but if he gets pissed off he switches to this pocket fox he has and literally just wipes the floor with fucking anyone without even blinking it's fucking scary man
c!Purpled: Aeigis (he's also a tier whore but unlike quackity he's actually good at them) (he's also a controller smasher when he loses)
c!Ranboo: Jigglypuff cuz he thought she was cute, but he also has no idea what he's fucking doing (i'd fucking get his ass so hard with a tipper marth fsmash and he'd die at fucking 25% and then go and monologue sadly about it and it would be the best day of my life)

Hello! Got to say I love your art. gives out a lot of flavor!
Anywho, I got a really interesting and somewhat weird question.
How do you view King K. Rool?
In a more in depth way possible.
Like you seen all of the moments from him (keyword: all) and you see some characters mentioning him and whatnot?
The reason why I'm kind of asking this is because I do see him in a different way and I wish I could finish my own theories and interpretation as to why he is in the games. So I thought 'hey why not ask this random user who has impeccable talent and a good interest in the Donkey Kong Country series how did they see the character!' cuz I really wonder if someone actually has a similar brain cell as mine...
Hope you're having a nice day!
Aw, hi, thank you so much! :)
The games I’ve played so far was the Rare’s trilogy (DKC1, DKC2, & DKC3) and Retro’s duology (DKCR & DKCTF), so I haven’t gotten into the likes of DK64, DK: King of Swing, DK: Jungle Climb, etc, sorry. ^^; My life has proven to be more hectic than I wanted to be, but that’s life, I guess! So, I’m not really confident in my understanding of his character but I’ll try anyways—
I’ve always interpreted him as an emperor of an empire that’s collapsing, I imagine he somewhat realizes that, but he might be in denial about that fact, who knows?
Putting this here as I wrote so much - Someone’s gotta sew my mouth shut, I can’t keep doing this!! 😭 /j
Tumblr media
There’s old Kremling temples on DK Island, which is strange ‘cause it’s DK Island, not Crocodile Isle. This small detail has always been interesting to me because it could be interpreted in so many ways: Kongs and Kremlings used to get along or Kremlings used to own DK Island, and probably more than I could name! I personally believe the Kremlings had the upper hand against the Kongs and Bears waaay back then, something must’ve happened to the Kremling empire for it to decline this badly.
We’ve haven’t got much of the history of the Kremlings or K. Rool: it’d be really sad if it turns out K. Rool only wanted for the Kremling empire to thrive like it did in its heyday. In my interpretation, he stole the Banana Hoard because he heard about the magical properties of it, he wanted to use it to nurture Crocodile Isle to full health (I mean, it doesn’t really it’s in good health when compared to DK Island 💀).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe, K. Rool was a good leader (like DK) to the Kremlings before he came across the Kongs? Have we ever got any information about K. Rool before the events of SNES trilogy? I don’t think so, the only thing I remember is that he was an old student of Wrinkly (hand in your homework, K. Rool!! He still hasn’t handed it in even after Wrinkly’s passing, man. 😭 Perhaps that’s why she’s still hanging around as a ghost.. unfinished business!), but I might’ve forgot a detail so please tell me if I did!
In all honestly, it’s hard to figure him out. I don’t want to baby him like “Who cares about how he treats his people* and the Kongs? he’s an emperor of a collapsing empire, don’t you feel sorry for him?? :((((“, he’s cruel. It’s in his name. Yes, it’s sad, but that doesn’t excuse his actions. I’m trying to find the middle ground of interpreting him in my mind: how much cruel is too much? Like, I don’t want to lessen his cruelness or overboard it to the point where it’s just edgy for the sake of edgy. I hope that makes sense,, *head in hands*
And another thing, I think being defeated by DK (& Diddy) in DKC1 kickstarted his downfall & hatred of the Kongs. He got beaten in front of his subjects, he wanted revenge on the Kongs for making him appear weak in front of his people. The only way he’ll find peace is when the Kongs are exterminated (like in DK64, with the Blast-o-Matic), he wanted to use the Kongs’ extermination as “this is what happens when you cross me” to future enemies.
I believe his people matter a lot of him, he just shows it in a.. peculiar way. 💀 He may have treated his people as disposable garbage in the SNES trilogy but afterwards, I think he snapped out of that and started treating them much better (at least not to kill them). If he kept treating them the way he did in the trilogy, there would be no more people. Also, I really like, in the cartoon, he had Krusha and Klump. It gave him a more.. human side? I can’t describe it but y’know what I mean right? I’m a huge fan of villains that secretly cares for their lackeys (like Robotnik and Agent Stone as an example)!
* and this is just my interpretation, I have no evidence of this at all. I have a hunch that this table isn’t just here for decoration, have you ever noticed how different the Kremlings look in DKC3 compared to DKC1 and DKC2? You may know where I’m going with this, I believe K. Rool experimented on his subjects. Every time I look at the DKC3 Kremlings, I have the urge to scratch my skin, eugh… ☹️ The reason why he did this is because he wanted his army to be stronger. He was sick and tired to losing to the Kongs that he was willing to do anything, and I mean anything.
Tumblr media
And please do tell me how you see K. Rool as well! :) [not forcing you, just interested in hearing other people’s thoughts on DKC!] Honestly, it feels like I’m doing him a disservice on how I’m seeing his character, it feels like I’m doing him wrong but I can’t place my finger on it. 😭
Also, thank K. Rool for also getting me into DK, if it wasn’t for him getting into Smash, I wouldn’t be here lmao. Every time I hear his theme song in Smash, I get thrown back when I first got into DK in 2018.. it almost makes me shed a tear. :’)
Okay, one last thing, I’ll shut up I swear — what I imagine him to be doing behind the scenes of DKCR and DKCTF is that he’s recuperating his army and empire once more. Can’t exactly get revenge on your enemy with no army, no?

Funny thing this was a total coincidence but I was trying to make my own Undertale Yellow Deltarune AU. These characters were going to be this AU's version of Susie. Instead of a though guy bully these are mean girls. Their names are Cera, Sally, & Phara (pronounced Tera)! Sally & Phara become Rowan's party member's while Cera is more like Birdly by being a rival/antagonist character.
Cera-She the queen bee of the school. (and is an expy of King K. rool from the DK series) She'll go out of her way to get what she wants even if it's teaming up with the bad guys of the dark world! She's a stereotypical Regina George wanna be but she does have a bit of a tomboy side to her. She can be bossy even towards her best friends Sally & Phara. It's rumored that her parents force her to be perfect and are toxic narcissists. And yes she's a Triceratops.
Sally-She's the dumb one of the group. (Also the Crusha expy) Don't worry Sally is actually a nice person but is just roped in with the wrong friend. Even if Sally isn't the most brightest bulb in the shed, she is extremely sweet and is the healer character in Rowan's party. As you can tell she was lifted from Susie's beta self. (evidenced by the similar name & design to her)
Phara-She is Cera's right hand man by being the smartest girl in school and a work-a-holic! She treats her life like a business, and may or may not have a crush on Cera. She gets character development after she enters the dark world and teams up with Rowan & co. She learns not to be a yes man to whatever Cera does and to learn to have fun. (she's the General Klump expy if you can tell)
aw these are adorable! I love the dino theme for all of them, it's very creative.

DK OC Profile:
*notes below*
Tumblr media
+++++++++++++++++++++
Video Game Series: Donkey Kong
Name: Danica "Dani" Kong
Alias: Dani, Grease Monkey, Grease/Greaser, Fixit, Goggles, Kong
Species: Yellow-Tailed Woolly Monkey (Oreonax Flavicauda)
Gender: Female
Parents: Rocket Kong (father), Juniper Kong (mother)
Other Relatives: *under construction*
Abilities: mechanical engineering, arboreal acrobatics, driving/kart racing, sketching (blue prints)
Love Interest: Donkey Kong
Allies: DK Crew, Donkey K, Diddy K, Funky K, Dixie K, Cranky K, Wrinkly K, Tiny K, Chunky K, Kiddy K, Lanky K, Swanky K, Eddie The Mean Old Yeti, Redneck Kong, Mario Bros, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toads, Yoshi, Kirby, etc...
Enemies: King K. Rool, Kremling Krew, Tiki Tak Tribe, Snowmads, King Dedede, Kamek, Cactus King, Wizpig, Manky Kongs, Bluster Kong, Minkeys, Bowser, etc...
she was born in the Jungle Kingdom and lives happily with her family. Well.. as happily as she can....
As a child, Dani enjoyed swinging in the trees as much as any other Kong, yet she never went beyond what she knew, preferring to take a more introspective approach. But don't let that fool you.. once Dani has her hands on some old parts and a wrench, she's going full throttle. She may not have as much interest in exploring the outside's greatest mysteries but when it comes to her work, she loves testing the limits. Dani is ambitious and analyzes anything she comes across. She's more reserved compared to her friends but can be just as outspoken, not afraid to tell anyone when she disagrees on a matter. She'd like to say she's a fairly reasonable and easygoing monkey but her own stubbornness has clashed against Cranky and DK's more than once. Although reserved, Dani is friendly to those around her and is devoted to her friends and family. Her ingenuity, reasonable nature, and loyalty to her friends makes her a valuable member of the DK Crew.
As she gets older, her skills in mechanical engineering improve greatly. Dani is responsible for improving kart conditions and track structure. After helping upgrade the Jungle Kingdom Raceway, she further evolved karts to have hang-gliders and even anti-gravity wheels.
Despite her abilities and supportive friends, Dani often puts pressure on herself for not knowing something or being useful. She stays in her own space and is perfectly happy working on her projects, even at the cost of other things in life. In fact, Dani sees no reason why things should change.. that is until a certain ape prince barrel rolls into her life....
Normally, I wouldn't post an OC profile until I have everything lined up, but due to what happened with my previous OC, I'm doing this to stake claims and avoid more conflict.. This post may be edited as I continue tweaking Dani's story, but thoughts and constructive criticism are appreciated (:

The way I see it, my ideal Mario spinoff movie would consist of three subplots: the aforementioned Luigi's Mansion adaptation, DK teaming up with Diddy to take down King K. Rool, and Toad officially becoming Captain Toad and training his fellow citizens in case another invasion happens
I love your ideas 🤗
I heard through the grapevine that apparently Nintendo and Illumination were making plans for a Donkey Kong spin-off movie, before the Mario Movie was even completed. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it gives me hope that they may have been spitballing ideas together for this new movie verse. But yes - a Donkey Kong spin-off is perfect!; once they include the kremlins, and the fact Diddy and Dixie have already been established.
Luigi's Mansion deserves to be a spin-off. Just an adventure that showcases Luigi more in the spotlight, and establish him being able to work on his own for a bit. Just like the original game did.
Toad creating his crew as Captain Toad is a great idea! However, it would probably work more as a short, rather than a full movie. It would be a simple but sweet slice of life of Toad trying to train other hardy toads for his crew - hilarious shenanigans ensue!

I've written up a whole pitch for a Donkey Kong movie spinoff of the mario bros movie
I truly love donkey kong as a franchise and couldn't get this idea out of my head after seeing the movie so had to just type it up( in a mix of excitement, boredom and being very high) put it out and see what others thought of it.
The movie would have a lot of heart and be the age old story of the hero wanting to keep his carefree lifestyle and not have to rise to leadership/responsibility. The movie would be a time skip of a few years after the Mario bros movie so it relies less on those events outside of DK still resenting being beaten by Mario and is pushing a bit too hard to be seen as the best. The time skip would also allow for making cranky a bit older and closer in look/voice to his usual look.
Dk would be the champion of the kongs and continuously drive off various incursions of their kremling enemies through the kingdom; it would be shown that the kong “army” is more for show and primarily just protects their boarders. The expectations of cranky for him to step up as a leader and mature would be the major weight on him.
A lot of emphasis on the family aspect of the kongs, with each member being a positive influence/voice for DK. Diddy and dixie constantly tag along with DK, looking up to him but he doesn’t quite “appreciate” them at the outset. Funky would be DKs cousin, live away from the city at the beach, have his plane and have the Jamaican accent and some bits of the spirituality of his animated series self. Candy kong would have her 64 design but redesigned so her height/proportions closer align with the other kongs. Playing up her dkc mini game/64 role, she’d be a music lover/dance instructor and be DKs main emotional anchor and the one who has been soothing his insecurities. Swanky kong would also reappear as a sleezy businessman but playing on the gag from the Mario movie, constantly ends up the butt of bad luck. Chunky kong, kiddy kong, Tiny kong and lanky kong are not main characters but have some lines and appear frequently and join in aiding in the finale. Other cameos would be bluster kong, yeti kong(eddie the mean old yeti), manky kong, redneck kong, dread kong, sumo kong, karate kong, ninja kong, and uncle kong. Also some scattered appearances of the bear brothers and tiki tak tribe members.
Kremlings trying to steal/destroy bananas to weaken the kongs, as usual, but king k rool is also using this as a distraction for a major operation; tunneling under the ground to strike at the kongs directly. The main kremling crew besides K rool would be klump(64 design), kalypso(possibly with her kressa concept design), kludge, kip, kass, koptor and, to a lesser degree, k lumsy. Other notable kremlings appearing as cameo/small parts would be krusha(a lieutenant), krunch, kasplatt, klobber/kaboom and Kuff n Klout. The main kremling army would be made up of kritters(most of which various shades of green but scattered blue and orange variants), but also klaptraps, rock krocs and kops. A montage of other confrontations with kremlings would also show some of the pirate kremlings, klubba, kackle/bones and kerozene.
So here is the main breakdown of the plot
-intro of DK being lazy and having to go deal with a kremling crisis, interspaced with an opening montage of DKs life and past deeds/adventurers, including events from the Mario movie and various game references.
He then heads back home and there is a quick intro to most of the cast as he is nonchalant as he is praised by his peers. Meets up with candy for a lunch date and is constantly pestered by diddy and dixie. He is summoned to meet with cranky who is aging and exasperated by DK not taking eventually being king serious and it is clear DK is not interested and wants to go back to a carefree life style and the two argue until DK leave upon hearing Funky’s plane arrive. At the same time, kremling Koptor spies on the kong city before reporting back to king k rool, who plots with his main minions as his kritters work on a large weapon.
The two reconnect and DK clearly wishes he could live funky’s easygoing life but is rebuffed by him. Another kremling attack on banana groves is reported and DK reluctantly goes to deal with it, followed by diddy and dixie. The kremlings are easily driven off; DK thinks nothing of it and overhypes his abilities, but diddy is suspicious; an amused K rool watches from a distance. As the kongs celebrate another victory for DK, diddy tells cranky of his suspicions and he confronts DK on the information. Another very public argument ensues between the two and an angry cranky reveals he isn’t DKs father, but raised him after his father, DK jr, died. An angry and heartbroken DK denounces cranky and his future throne and leaves.
He goes to visit funky and stays in his old jungle tree house from when he was younger. Diddy and dixie show up, having followed him, to try and lift his spirit; candy is in a kart and on her way as well, having been tipped off by chunky and tiny. DK, moping, goes to the cave below the tree house where he used to keep his bananas but finds it empty and opened to a much larger cavern beneath. The trio investigates and finds a large mining operation the kremlings have been opening underground, using enslaved mole miners, heading towards the kong city. They attempt to thwart it and DK challenges K rool directly but underestimates him and gets beaten. The trio are imprisoned and diddy/dixie befriend their guard, the massive yet simple k lumsy.
At the same time a saddened cranky regrets what he said and is comforted by the spirit of his deceased wife, wrinkly kong, who implores him to mend the relationship and accept DK for who he is. DK apologizes for taking diddy and dixie, as well as his responcibilities, for granted and helps them escape. He declines their getting help for him, as this was his fault, and sends them to warn cranky of the kremlings plan. He is likewise comforted and encouraged by wrinkly’s spirit and he befriends k lumsy into letting him free. DK frees the captive animal buddies and with them causes chaos and the collapse of the cavern. The moles all dig to safety and the kremlings flee; K rool leaves DK to perish while revealing the collapse is pointless as his weapon has already reached its destination and he has already won. DK and the animal buddies are dug up by diddy, dixie, funky and candy, who ride the animals back to kong city.
They return and DK and cranky reconcile; cranky reveals he’s actually DKs grandfather, DK the 1st(everyone just started calling him cranky), and his son, DKs father, was killed by King k rool. Cranky has always held guilt for this as the war with the kremlings was partially his fault, as he refused to acknowledge the kremlings as equals, which incurred K rools wrath. Suddenly from beneath the center of the city rises K rools weapon: a titanic, steampunk crocodile robot that begins attacking the city. Given hope by his friends, he leads them and the other kongs in repelling the death machine and the kremling troops within. Carts are used to tangle its legs while the kongs damage it by throwing barrels. DK finally nails it with enough exploding barrels at its joints that it collapses and explodes.
K rool has been watching from a distance and is in a rage at his defeat when DK arrives. They are confident in defeating him when his friends join and a battle royal erupts. When the tide turns against K rool, he orders k lumsy, revealed to be one of his siblings, to intervene but he refuses to hurt his new kong friends. DK finally lays out K rool, who orders a retreat but swears revenge. Sometime later, DK is crowned as king by cranky(the coronation has him holding the crystal coconut and golden banana) but he insists on a more hands off, relaxed reign(no crown or thrown), which cranky accepts; DK officially takes diddy and dixie as his “heroes in training”. Eventually, kremlings, led by K rools main minions, are destroying bananas trees and DK swings out to help, now joined by his friends. They swing through the canopy and jump through the tree line towards the shocked kremlings. Low shot of DK high in the air and diving with a punch shouting “It’s on like…” when the screen cuts and the DK rap starts playing as the credits role.

I'm trying out this AI Story Maker #8
King K. Rool, the villainous ruler of the Kremlings, had always yearned for more power. He was constantly devising schemes to take over Donkey Kong Island and defeat the Kong family. His latest plan involved stealing one of Cranky Kong's powerful potions, hoping it would grant him the strength he desired.
However, as fate would have it, things didn't go as expected. When K. Rool gulped down the stolen potion, his body convulsed uncontrollably. To his horror, he transformed into a chubby, giggling toddler! The once fearsome king now found himself stuck in the body of an innocent child.
At first, Cranky Kong refused to help K. Rool, relishing in his eternal torment. However, upon seeing the young Kremling in despair, Donkey Kong convinced his grumpy grandpa to show mercy. After all, even a villain like K. Rool didn't deserve to be stuck in such an unfortunate predicament.
Thus, Cranky begrudgingly agreed to find the ingredients for a cure, while also warning the other Kongs to stay away from the troublesome toddler. Meanwhile, Klump, Krusha, and the other Kremlings had no choice but to take care of baby K. Rool.
Unfortunately for the Kremlings, baby K. Rool was not your average child. He threw temper tantrums that rattled the walls of the Kremling Keep. Nothing seemed to calm him down – not toys, not treats, not even the sweetest lullabies. The Kremlings were at their wit's end.
One day, as the Kremlings struggled to pacify their little king, an emerald green-scale Kremling named Liz arrived. Liz had beautiful blue eyes and a soothing presence that seemed to calm everyone around her. As if by magic, baby K. Rool quietened down immediately.
Intrigued by Liz's mysterious ability to calm him, baby K. Rool became attached to her. He followed her around like a lost puppy, pouting and whining whenever Liz had to tend to other responsibilities. Despite their initial annoyance, the Kremlings couldn't deny that Liz was the key to keeping baby K. Rool happy.
One fateful day, when Klump needed Liz's assistance, baby K. Rool witnessed their departure. He felt abandoned and misunderstood. Fuelled by his toddler emotions, he made an impulsive decision to run away from home.
Soon, the tiny Kremling found himself lost in the vast jungle of Donkey Kong Island. Hunger gnawed at his insides, and fatigue threatened to overwhelm him. Unbeknownst to the lost child, a wicked witch who had heard tales of K. Rool's disappearance set her sights on him, intending to fatten him up for a delicious meal.
Days turned into weeks, and the Kremlings desperately searched for their king. Their journey led them through treacherous swamps, towering mountains, and dangerous ravines. It seemed all hope was lost.
Meanwhile, the witch kept baby K. Rool locked up in a cage, feeding him rich, fattening foods in preparation for her feast. The once chubbier-than-usual K. Rool had now become comically plump.
Back on Donkey Kong Island, Liz, Klump, and Krusha refused to give up. They tirelessly scoured every nook and cranny. Finally, their persistence paid off. Just as the fattened baby K. Rool was about to be the witch's lunch, Liz, Klump, and Krusha stormed into the witch's lair.
A fierce battle ensued between the trio and the cunning witch. Spells were cast, dark magic clashed with brute force, and in the end, the witch was defeated.
With K. Rool now back to his normal, adult self, he couldn't help but feel a deep admiration for Liz. Seeing her bravery and determination, he realized that he had fallen in love with her. Mustering up the courage, K. Rool asked Liz out on a date.
Their love bloomed amidst the chaotic events that had brought them together. K. Rool and Liz shared their dreams, fears, and aspirations. Eventually, they decided to tie the knot and get married, vowing to support each other through all of life's adventures.
From that day forward, the once-malicious King K. Rool became a reformed ruler. With Liz by his side, he aimed to lead the Kremlings to a more peaceful existence. Their love story would forever be remembered as a tale of transformation and redemption, a testament to the power of compassion and understanding.
And so, King K. Rool and Liz lived happily ever after, proving that love could be found even in the most unexpected of circumstances.

Hi crusher I wanted to ask what are your unpopular opinions on the Mario franchise?
I think some people can be too hard on Mario himself. Yeah, he may be very straightforward as a character when compared to several of his castmates, including Luigi, but the sheer volume of demonization he's received over the years makes me feel sorry for him. I like him just fine no matter how simple he is, and I'll always admire the passion Charles Martinet has for him (as well as Luigi, Wario and Waluigi).
Similarly, I think Peach gets too much flack as well. Yeah, it's a shame that most of her roles involve little more than being kidnapped, but that's not her fault, and I think she's a good character when she's allowed to do things. While I'm alright with how she's been portrayed in the upcoming movie so far (mostly; see further below for more details), I was completely unsurprised when everyone reacted to her role as if she had never done anything in her life beyond getting kidnapped before that point. You can always spot the fakers from a mile away; just ask the so-called fans who reacted to the Sonic 2 trailers with "Knuckles is a bad guy??? Why is he working for Eggman???"
I'm indifferent to the Koopalings. Always have been. Don't hate them, but never cared about them either.
Super Mario Land 2 is well liked by all accounts, but I think it might be an unconventional opinion to say it's up there with Super Mario World as my favourite of the 2D Marios. I just really like how unique it is for 2D Mario standards, especially in light of how bland and unoriginal the New Super Mario Bros. games were. Plus, it introduced Wario, who is always epic.
DKC3 is my second favourite in the trilogy after DKC2. DKC3 has admittedly been getting more love in recent years, which I'm really happy to see, but I liked it even when everyone else considered it the weak link of the trilogy. I get why some elements might put some players off, but I think it's just as fun as the first two, and has its own enticing atmosphere.
I'm not a fan of Super Paper Mario, and that includes the story and villains (aside from Dimentio, he's good). For me, it's to Mario what Twinsanity is to Crash: that one game that's honestly pretty flawed in a lot of areas, yet everyone claims is the best of all time while somehow also claiming it to be underrated at the same time.
Conversely, I do like Origami King. This isn't too unpopular an opinion, since I know it does have a lot more fans than Sticker Star and Colour Splash, but naturally it's still a very divisive game. Make no mistake, I would love to see a return to the 64/TTYD formula, but I really do enjoy Origami King in its own right.
Grodus is one of my favourite villains in the series. He's not hated per say, but he tends to get overshadowed by other Mario baddies, including the Shadow Queen from the same game he comes from. And yeah, I know he doesn't get to do a lot compared to others, doesn't have the most colorful personality, and ends up falling into the SA1/Unleashed Eggman trap. But I do think he's underrated, since I enjoy his no-nonsense approach, and he has a pretty badass design. I guess it just annoys me that a lot of fans don't even bother to acknowledge him because they're too busy wanking over the Shadow Queen. As a side-note: for a long time, I always said he was my all-time favourite Mario villain. But in recent years, I realised that as much as I continue to like him, I can't really justify him as my #1 when comparing him "objectively" to the overall showing of other Mario villains, since as mentioned, he didn't get to do an awful lot. He's still up there for me without question, but if I had to say which Mario villain is my true #1 on account of what they actually get to do, that's tied between Fawful and K. Rool. Those two are thankfully beloved, so no need to consider liking them an unpopular opinion. :P
I love Superstar Saga, and I like Cackletta as a villain, but I'm not so keen on the Bowletta twist, as I feel it traded Cackletta's uniqueness in favor of Bowser With Tits. Not to mention it was a rather humiliating moment for Bowser himself.
I like Super Mario RPG, but I prefer Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi in pretty much every way that matters. And while I don't have a problem with the character, I don't quite understand the immense popularity of Geno compared to other RPG-exclusive characters who achieved similar popularity. Like Fawful... or Vivian. <3
I don't have an issue with Bowser being the villain of an RPG as long as they don't pull a Sticker Star with him. The original Paper Mario and Dream Team were able to keep him in-character and did interesting stuff with him, therefore I have no problem with his status in those games.
I'm not losing sleep over its absence, but I'd like to see the Double Dash two-per-kart gimmick make a return in a later Mario Kart, as I think it was a lot of fun. (Double Dash was also my first MK, so y'know...)
Galaxy is a great game that deserves its praise and legacy, but I wouldn't put it in my personal Mario top ten. Not because I have any real issues with it, I just prefer other Mario games is all. With 3D Mario specifically, I prefer the exploration of 64, Odyssey, and yes, even Sunshine despite its numerous flaws and other... interesting qualities. ("MARIO, HOW DARE YOU DISTURB MY FAMILY VACATION")
I'm currently very mixed on the upcoming movie, and not just because it's-a me, Chris Prattio. On one hand, Illumination are certainly putting more effort into it compared to their other movies although I suspect that's because Nintendo is holding them at gunpoint, the little Easter Eggs are nice and clever, the world as presented looks interesting, and Jack Black as Bowser is gonna steal the show. On the other hand - Jack Bowser aside - it's still not really exciting me all that much, I sense that half of the praise it's received is born purely out of dunking on the Sonic movies for not being animated (or, let's face it, because it's Sonic), and even putting Chris Pratt as Mario aside, I'm not feeling some of the other actors. Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong goes without saying because DK did not deserve that fate, but I'm not vibing with Peach's voice either. I know they probably didn't want to emulate her usual squeaky voice, which is understandable, but why not something akin to her 64 voice?
Not to say there aren't any mainline Mario tracks that I love (Dire, Dire Docks fans rise up), but I've noticed that most of my favourite Mario soundtracks as an overall package tend to come from the spinoffs. Particularly from the DKCs, the RPGs, and the Mario Karts.
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show is about as good of a Mario show as SatAM was a Sonic show (read: not very), but I'm less hostile to the former because the Mario universe's earliest years were much more primitive in setup compared to Sonic's earliest, so the Super Show's creative liberties are slightly easier to forgive by comparison... and it's fun to point and laugh at. (Who the fuck would willingly live in a place called Crime Land?)
Bowser's current voice in the games is fine, but I'll always have a soft spot for his N64-era dinosaur roars. I just like the way they sound. :>

I love the idea that everyone in DKC is either orphan or have parent issues
DK? Absent father, (probably) dead mother.
Diddy? Orphan.
Dixie, Tiny, Chunky and Kiddy? Orphans.
Lanky? Parent issues.
Candy? Mommy issues.
Swanky? Parent issues.
The only exception is Funky, he had both parents in his entire life and he has a fantastic relationship with both of them, privileged bitch. /j and maybe if you give a good stretch you might say that Bluster had ok parents but i'm not sure of that
THIS IS BECAUSE I'M JUST TALKING ABOUT THE KONGS, IMAGINE THE KREMLINGS.
K. Rool and ESPECIALLY K. Lumsy 100% have daddy issues, i refuse to believe they don't.
Krusha is proooooooobably an orphan,
Klump definetely has parent issues,
Kalypso has mommy issues,
Kass is an orphan,
Kip is a mystery,
Klubba MIGHT be an exception like Funky but i wouldn't say he as trauma-free as Funky is (because being a kremling means you will suffer no matter how much of a good life you might have) or maybe he's an orphan, still deciding...

The Girls and their smash mains
shauna: pokémon trainer (loosely played pokémon, she likes that pokémon trainer is well-balanced and all three pokémon are different fighters. she doesn’t like being limited to tanks or speedy fighters only although she mainly uses ivysaur)
jackie: jigglypuff/ice climbers (thinks both jigglypuff and the ice climbers are cute! doesn’t know anything about them she’s almost never played a video game in her life not on an arcade cabinet. she’s pretty good with jigglypuff actually, not competitive level but good enough to put up a good fight. she’s less good w ice climbers but she likes them esp because they remind her of her and shauna :~))
tai: sheik (closet geek in that she definitely likes zelda, gets obsessed w sheik when playing ocarina of time and prefers how sheik plays in smash over zelda. is extremely good, she KNOWS how to play and play well and she WILL win because she’s tai.)
van: king k. rool (definitely played donkey kong country she thinks king k. is awesome and she loves a tank. she’s pretty good with him too but she mostly likes to fuck with everybody else on the stage with items or just spamming attacks on tai to fuck with her)
nat: meta knight/ridley (thinks meta knight is cool as fuck and definitely finished super metroid in one night at kevyn’s house. she’s not a gamer she just goes by vibes mostly, not great at smash honestly and will probably spam b. is almost always the first one to die first usually by c-sticking off the edge of the stage)
misty: olimar (misty is the only one who has played pikmin and knows how to use olimar. she is scary good with him on the occasions the girls will actually have her over and let her play, hence why they usually don’t. she is also fucking terrifying and doesn’t say a word while playing she’s so focused.)
lottie: luigi (knows how to use luigi insanely well and will kick absolute ass. she doesn’t know shit about mario she just thinks he’s silly, does a lot of complicated jump & dodge shit with luigi and it makes everyone else very upset. often when she wins though it’s because she outlasts, because she’s better at dodging than anything else)
laura lee: pichu (she doesn’t know anything about pokémon she just thinks pichu is cuter than pikachu even as they tell her pichu is kinda ass for taking damage with every attack. but she’s perfectly happy with pichu thanks!!! somehow she’s worse than nat, will stand idly in the middle of the stage or do her B-up the wrong way and fall off.)

Random observations of the trophies in Super Smash Bros. Melee, because I thought they were interesting - Part 1
I have decided to contribute to this site by dragging over some random junk I've written before. I guess this is also my excuse to try and contribute to the site? Well, """contribute""" in more quotation marks than I let on. Anyway, I'm just gonna more or less repost something I made before, but now I don't have a godforsaken text limited forced upon me AND I can edit spelling errors, woo. This is also probably going to look like a mess, because I have never used Tumblr in my entire life, so uh... woops.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also to get something out of the way, I'm not covering every trophy from every series. I love this games' trophies, but I don't love 'em THAT much. I'm just going to talk about the ones that piqued my curiosity. To begin, let's start with Mario stuff, since that's the big name.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One thing I really like about these trophies is that the main player trophies you get from Classic Mode are based on their standard designs in their home series. For example, the Mario cast are based on their N64 appearances, such as Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, or Mario Party.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "Red Smash" and "Blue Smash" trophies are gained through clearing Adventure Mode and All Star, respectively. Red Smash trophies uses the characters' design in game while the Blue Smash trophies always uses an alt color. Both describe the character on how they play. Interestingly, while Brawl does not do this, Smash 4 does. Depending on the version of the game, the character will use a different alt color as seen here.
Tumblr media
Going back to the Mario cast, I think it's really cool seeing how characters that would later have their designs tweaked later on in the GameCube's life be modeled with their original designs. Daisy, of course, is the most noteworthy one of these four.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few personal favorites of mine for the Mario trophies is that this is the only game where they show off the power ups with Mario while later games would just show the item that gives you the power up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Might be commonly known by this point, but here's a fun little fact; Metal Mario's reflection is the Yoshi's Island stage.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm also a fan of the trophies that are very odd "deep cuts" to the series, such as the Bucket and Plum.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now for the Donkey Kong series. While Donkey Kong, Dixie Kong, and King K. Rool all get their own trophies, Diddy is strangely absent despite being mentioned. I'm not sure why that is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing I really like about these trophies is that there's some fun interpretation of these characters in 3D, such as DK Jr. and even Stanley of all characters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another fantastic example of the developers interpenetrating characters that were never in 3D by this point would be Marin of the Zelda series.
Tumblr media
Something to note is that she is depicted as a blonde instead of a red head like her appearance in Hyrule Warriors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can only assume this may be based more on her sprite than her artwork? Her artwork seems to lean on her being a red head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then the remake goes with the blonde hair, so... Marin, you confuse me, you cute lil' lady you.
Tumblr media
Welp, it appears I can't add more images to this, as much as I'd like to make this one cohesive post. So I'll probably make a Part 2 whenever I get the chance. To those that have gotten this far, thank you for giving this post the time out of your day/night to read my inane ramblings.

You know, I have a headcanon that the ancestors of the kongs were divided into 3 tribes: Apes (no tail), monkeys (tail) and orangutans (orangutans :v). These three formed the new world and named an ape their king, but political differences led the orangutans to abandon the title 'kong' and break the harmony of the species in the new world.
I don't know, a war background seems funny to me for someone like the Kongs 😅
Ooooh, very intriguing!! The distinction of the primates remind me of the Planet of the Apes movies, I’m sorry, I love talking about my interests any chance I get.
I still haven’t got deep in the details of the ancestors of the Kongs in my interpretation yet, as I’m more focused on the history between the Kongs and Kremlings. Like what happened there?? If we ever get a new DKC game with the Kremlings, I hope we get something related to that. :v
This is just a loose idea so it may change but in my interpretation: what kickstarted the descent of the Kremling empire was harsh attacks from the Snowmads. Would you believe me that the Kremlings used to have the upper hand against the Kongs and Bears? Crazy, I know!
I’ve always wondered how the Mankys got exiled by the Kongs, like wow?? What did you have to do to get banished by the Kongs? 😭 I’m still figuring that out in my interpretation tho,,
One of my HCs is that the Kongs are the odd ones when compared to other Primate clans. We have the Mankys and Minkys (also mentioning Ba-Boom, the Boisterous) attacking the Kongs (I’m starting to think the Kongs are the problem /j), I imagine the other clans to be very aggressive to newcomers (or in general) while the Kongs are hospitable. That doesn’t mean they’re naive, it’s very hard to regain their trust if you break it.
Saying that made me imagine DK as an iron golem and the other Kongs as villagers, just don’t hit the other Kongs and you’ll be fine asdsjsnkmk—
Putting this here as I wrote so much?? I’m sorry. 😭
The war the Kongs have ever faced in my interpretation was the ‘Kremean War’, that war mostly consisted the Bears and Kremlings, the Kongs was back-up for the Bears. Cause of the war was that the Kremlings wanted a part of the Northern Kremisphere to expand their territory. The Bears, of course, refused to let that happen. The Bears and Kongs were the ones victorious while the Kremlings had to flee (this war happened before the SNES trilogy).
I don’t imagine it to be really violent, if you’re expecting bloodshed then I’m sorry </3, the most violent thing you’ll get out of this battle is K. Rool almost dying.
I thought of the same thing about Kongs participating in wars as they’re extremely peaceful, I cannot for the life of me, imagine them being violent ever. They only joined in the Kremean War to help the Bears and protect the Northern Kremisphere. I realized it gave Funky the knowledge of weapons because how would Funky know how to make weapons in DK64?? I know they’re not actual guns but still—
Tumblr media
And yea, I do know about the prototype of the Kongs actually having guns in DK64, I’m so happy they changed it. Because that’s not the Kongs at all?? 😭 It’s so out-of-character, to me at least! 🤷‍♀️
