Damn, never posted this, did I?

Concept for one of my favourite culture headcanons: Skandian identification braids. This one is the Heron crew braid — the black, white and grey beads are for the white-faced heron (aka the one I know by sight), and the copper ribbon represents the Andomal.

Bottom right is Hal's braid system, including the crew braid along with a red bead for a ranged weapon, blue bead for a navigator and yellow bead for a skirl.
