we're watching The Sandman
S1: E1 "Sleep of the Just"
The GRAvitAS!!??? HUH???
It's both smooth and crunchy??
I saw a post saying that Tom Sturridge's voice was perfect, and i didn't know how that would really work but now that i'm listening to it, yeah that post was right.
as someone who sometimes gets auditory hallucinations when especially tired, I had this very specific idea of what Dream would sound like. Something both powerful and fading, like an echo with no real source, if you weren't careful you might completely forget what was said. obviously you can't do that in an audio/visual medium, not throughout the whole thing at least, maybe for specific "moments" but constantly? no, it would lose it's effect and lessen the power of the voice.
but this smooth crunchiness, like combining the sensation of coffee grounds and the smell they produce then turning that into audio, hit the mark lad
Lucienne is literally just standing there being worried about Morpheus but I already love her, her vibes are like that cool teacher that you wish was your mom
And I know about editor crunches and "CBB" approval, but the fluctuating quality of the effects feels right, like thematically
I've read a good chunk of The Sandman, but I lent my copies to someone at youth group and they never gave them back :(
So I have an idea of what is gonna happen, and what some set pieces may look like, and idk what it is but this overhead shot of Dream in freshly summoned feels right
Getting HR Geiger vibes Tom is very pale, and along with the helm very not comfy
also, they're so certain they caught Death, and I can see why. popular depictions of Death are usually skeletal if not bony
and male
so could you imagine if they actually caught Death? taking the form of/being played by a black woman? the pandemonium? the disrespect?
just remembered that Dream is naked until he finally gets out... and this is netflix... gods i hope the set wasn't too cold
The Corinthian has the vibes of a used car salesmen who would definitely stabs me
Why would Dream be able to resurrect someone? like he has power sure, but it is a specific sort of power
HE SHOT JESSAMY!!???
Did she call the Corinthian to pick her up? IS ETHEL GONNA BE OKAY???
johnny? like JON DEE??
Alex I love you and part of me understands but also... i would have just asked then hoped that the fact I followed through was proof enough
Paul, sweetie, you're doing amazing, and I'm also sorry
Love how the gates of The Dreaming were covered in relief versions of the comic book art

Would it be alright if you shared some headcanons about the Crowned Kings au?
Oh, absolutely! Love talking about my bastard boys!
- Paul and Patrick also work for the King's Army! Paul is in charge of communications and is a chronic chain smoker--but he's also a wicked sharp shooter with his revolvers, a regular cowboy. Patrick is Chief of Security and is in charge of defense of the base. He keeps tabs on cameras and personal and it's his business to know your business.
- Edd currently has fourteen cats living in his suite. Their names are Matilda (f, named after Matt), Pawssanova (m), Lucifer (m), Bingo (f), Cleo (f), Meeps (m), Pure (f), Gigabite (f), Kitt (m), Obi Paws Kenobi (m), Apawllo (m), Aslan (m), Peaches (f), Cream (m, Peaches’ brother)
- Tord was kicked out of college because his experiments were “morally questionable”. Also he’d unleashed a hoard of mutated rabbits on campus. After that, he was working like three jobs to try and make ends meet. He got sick a lot because of a slightly compromised immune system and felt like a useless burden to his friends.
- If Tord hadn’t dosed Tom with the Kaiju Formula, Tom’s liver would have failed a few months later and likely killed him.
- Tom’s parents died when he was very little and he got tossed around from home to home. Tord’s parents were constantly fighting each other or beating him up, so he often ran away from home to stay with friends or sleep on the streets. Edd never knew his parents and was raised by his horribly strict and abusive grandfather. Matt came from a well to do family; his parents showed him off like a trophy and lavished him with praise...until they caught him kissing a boy. Then they disowned him and kicked him out of the house.
- Tom doesn’t like hospitals, doctors, and isn’t overly fond of Tord’s labs. He gets whiny, twitchy, and uncomfortable. Tord calls him “big guy” if he knows Tom’s stressed or upset; it’s a term of comfort and endearment so it gets said a lot when Tom has to be in Tord’s labs.
- The other three call Tord “Tordie” as an affectionate nickname.
- Actually, Edd has nicknames for pretty much everybody. These can be a form of affection ooorrr a way that Edd specifically needles other people to get a rise out of them. (for example, he calls @eddsworldrus‘ Space AU Edd “Fishsticks”)
- Tom can breathe fireballs! It’s a recent mutation so he’s still learning to use it and he can use it in either his human or shifted forms. He has glands near the bottom of his jaw that lead to openings underneath his tongue. These glands produce a gooey, nitroglycerin-like substance--it doesn’t explode on its own and doesn’t have a flavor, but still carries a burnt sugar sort of smell. An additional small sac is attached to his lungs that contains a colorless, odorless gas that becomes an acrid smoke when it contact with oxygen. The sac with this gas is usually closed so Tom isn’t constantly leaking smoke, but when combined with the gooey substance, both will ignite and create a sticky, liquid fireball. He can only produce so much of the goo a day and once he runs out, he needs time to recover. To protect his body from his own fire and chemicals, Tom’s saliva contains a substance that coats his mouth and throat, as well as an additional lining in his stomach and esophagus. The substance has a subtle bitterness to it, like an aloe plant. Theoretically, coating something in his his saliva could make it temporarily flame resistant. Tom has not allowed Tord to test this theory yet.
- Matt puts his hand on the small of his friends’ backs when he wants to lead them away from something he knows will bother them.
- Eduardo, Mark, and Jon are in a kind of open relationship. But Eduardo and Mark are very, very protective of Jon and tend to worry when he’s outside the base. Jon used to basically live in a hospital--they have a right to worry.
- Tom once got so angry at Edd, that he ripped up the security fence around the officer’s quarters. Tore out the gate right out of the ground. He was quite sorry about it afterwards.

The Chosen People are a special demonstration Nation of Priests or gods ... The Chosen People are a special demonstration Nation of Priests or gods that Yahweh planted for us. https://youtu.be/CT7dkCI_R8k Hi Brethren, Unless a female (Disciple of Gamaliel Saul) becomes a Male (Solitary capable of entering the Low for humble and Narrow Gate Paul capable of eating the Flesh of Jesus and Drinking the Blood of Christ), she cannot enter into the Royal Kingdom of God. Jon 6v51-58:- Eating the Flesh of Jesus = Lending ears to His Message and Drinking the Blood of Christ = Preaching the Gospel from the Rooftops. https://youtu.be/7igKrFDQ3ks - I was thrown out from Dortmund Kirchentag that there is no private accommodation and I, 90 years old should sleep in schools with kids. You do not throw Pearls before swine. Prayer is Antichrist for the spiritually blind people - Luke 16v16; Law and Prophets till John. ATOMIC WAR PREDICTION – MATT. 13V24-30 – 14/11/2023. The Bible has all the answers for the twice-born of the holy spirit, “common sense” or Surti. “CHOSEN PEOPLE” have the Keys to this Secret: - Abraham = Adam, Sarah = Eve and Promised Land = Garden of Eden. “Abraham” is the “Father of the Faithful”. Watch my Youtube videos on Hajj for “The Kingdom of Heaven”:- www.gnosticgospel.co.uk/faithfat.pdf BIRTH OF JOHN: - https://youtu.be/RNXvv-WwdI4 And the Proofs of the Virgin Birth of Jesus: - www.gnosticgospel.co.uk/bojes.htm We are the sons of Elohim. We should display His qualities for Salvation. https://youtu.be/VUPgFlo6QcQ Natural bastards versus supernatural Bastards. ISRAEL WAS ESTABLISHED ON 14/05/1948 + 70 YEARS OF FULL PROTECTION TO MAY, 2018. Youtube Video: - https://youtu.be/oY8CAdfvaHE Then, the Real Tribulations world had never seen before for FIVE years to May 2023. Then, Israel will attack Iran and after six months Atomic War. Our Supernatural Father God (Elohim, Allah, ParBrahm, etc.) knows better. My Book under revision:- ONE GOD ONE FAITH:- www.gnosticgospel.co.uk/bookfin.pdf Grim American Jewish Reaper waving sickle to kill more in Venezuela as they did in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, etc. www.gnosticgospel.co.uk/GrimReaper.htm GET IT TRANSLATED INTO DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND SEND IT. Full article available on my website:- www.gnosticgospel.co.uk/pred.htm SIX MONTHS OF HEAVY WAR WITH CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS AND JUDGEMENT ATOMIC WAR IN THE 7TH MONTH OF ELOHIM, ALLAH, PARBRAHM, ETC. So, we should expect the intensive war on 14/05/2023 and after six months the ATOMIC WAR starting from Israel, the Epicentre of the establishment of the Garden of Eden, the Promised Land by Abraham and Sarah. Thus, the demiurge Lord of the creation or Potter that created a Nation of Priests but the Eleven crook liars and murderer brethren of the faithful to Jacob and Abraham Joseph they wanted to kill him for speaking the truth – John 8v44. This trait was carried forward by the generations of crook brethren of Joseph who ended up as slaves to the faithful Elder son Ishmael, the Egyptians. At the times of Jesus, most of the generations of the crook brethren of Joseph were clever and cheated and they hated the Prophets and Ultimate Oral Torah Light that Christ Jesus came to deliver. Thus, the generation of Joseph Samaritans became a nation of Prophets to whip them, the crook Priests.  Matthew 23:37 - “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling”. This creation that is visible to our two natural eyes, heaven and earth, belongs to the Holy spirit, common sense, shatters the fetters of the dead letters, the Holy Books. If we have One God, our Supernatural Father of our souls, then there should be one Faith and not many in which the spiritually blind people define an elephant. In Christianity, Jesus said One Fold called the Church of God headed by One Shepherd, our Bridegroom Christ Jesus/Christ = Satguru Nanak Dev Ji, the Second coming of Jesus. Solid Proof; this Golden Temple is of the same size as the Holiest of Holy that used to be in Jerusalem and its Curtain holding the Secrets of the Oral Torah = His Word was rendered from Top, the Temple High Priests, to Bottom, the village Rabbis off you go – Luke 16v16; Law and Prophets were till John and thus, everyone makes a direct approach to God through His Word = Logo = SATGUR PARSAD. So, these hireling Dog-Collared Priests in the Churches, Mullahs in the Mosques, etc., they cannot give your account to God ...... Today, the Last Prophecy Matt 13v24-30 is being fulfilled. The spectacle yoko ono beatles
Tumblr media
A vast amount of that fortune can be ascribed to the songs that he wrote with Lennon before the first moon landing. Nineteen years later, in Henley-on-Thames, west of London, another mentally troubled young man, Michael Abram, broke into George Harrison’s estate and stabbed him repeatedly in the chest. In 1980, Mark David Chapman, a Beatles fan, shot John Lennon to death outside the Dakota, on Central Park West. “Even during the pandemic, when I’m wearing a mask, even sunglasses, people stop and say, ‘Hey, Paul!’ ” He’ll gamely try to level the interpersonal playing field by saying that, after so many years, “I’m a Beatles fan, too,” often adding, “We were a good little band.” But he also knows that fandom can curdle into malevolence. McCartney knows that, even in a gathering of film stars or prime ministers, he is surrounded by Beatles fans. “Everyone is second fiddle to Paul McCartney, aren’t they?” I asked him if he minded playing second fiddle to his guest. For the encore, “Let It Be,” Joel ceded his piano to McCartney. In July, 2008, when Joel closed Shea Stadium, as the final rock act before the place came under the wrecking ball, he invited McCartney to join him and perform “I Saw Her Standing There.” Shea Stadium is, after all, where Beatlemania, in all its fainting, screaming madness, reached its apogee, in the sixties. You encounter someone like Paul and you wonder how close you can be to someone like that.” Still, Joel told me, “he’s a Beatle, so there’s an intimidation factor. Billy Joel, who has sold out Madison Square Garden more than a hundred times, has spent Hamptons afternoons over the years with McCartney. This effect extends to friends and peers. There are myriad ways in which people betray their pleasure in encountering him-describing their favorite songs, asking for selfies and autographs, or losing their composure entirely. McCartney greets his guests with the same twinkly smile and thumbs-up charm that once led him to be called “the cute Beatle.” Even in a crowd of the accomplished and abundantly self-satisfied, he is invariably the focus of attention. Would he like one? He narrows his gaze, trying to decide then, with executive dispatch, he declines. Bloomberg nods gravely at whatever Shevell is saying, but he has his eyes fixed on a plate of exquisite little pizzas. A slender, regal woman in her early sixties, Shevell is talking in a confiding manner with Michael Bloomberg, who was the mayor of New York City when she served on the board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Their hosts are Nancy Shevell, the scion of a New Jersey trucking family, and her husband, Paul McCartney, a bass player and singer-songwriter from Liverpool. Through the gate, they mount a flight of stairs to the front door and walk across a vaulted living room to a fragrant back yard, where a crowd is circulating under a tent in the familiar high-life way, regarding the territory, pausing now and then to accept refreshments from a tray. They all wear expectant, delighted-to-be-invited expressions. And out they come, face after famous face, burnished, expensively moisturized: Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Buffett, Anjelica Huston, Julianne Moore, Stevie Van Zandt, Alec Baldwin, Jon Bon Jovi. At the last driveway on a road ending at the beach, a cortège of cars-S.U.V.s, jeeps, candy-colored roadsters-pull up to the gate, sand crunching pleasantly under the tires. The surf is rough and pounds its regular measure on the shore. Scry by Cole Pulice
Cole Pulice is a composer, saxophonist and electroacoustic musician from Oakland-via-Minneapolis. Following their debut album "Gloam" and two duo collaborations with Lynn Avery and Nat Harvie, Cole Pulice returns with their sophomore album "Scry". The sound is deeply contemporary, incorporating saxophone/wind synth with live signal processing and modern electronics/software. It drifts between electroacoustic experimentalism and more traditional forms of song-like beauty, casting a wide sonic net that highlights Pulice’s versatility and creativity as both an improviser and composer. From Cole: "Scry is a collection of musics exploring fragmentary or gradient states of liminality – recursive spirals of worlds hidden within worlds, dreams within dreams, sensations of time, and the notion of the past, present, and future all occupying a single point. It’s a record that, for me, resonates strongly with this sort of “between-ness:” it began in Minneapolis, and was finished in Oakland, bridging pre-pandemic life with the “new normal” of current times; being genderqueer and navigating the spaces between and outside of the masculine and feminine binary; wandering through a musical interchange station that is interconnects improvisation, “song,” and collage experiments . . . multidimensional yet woven together by similar aesthetic threads. Whereas my previous record, Gloam, was mostly a series of compositions for a very specific electroacoustic setup, Scry utilizes a series of different hardware/software frameworks and apparatus. Or, to think of it in another way: Gloam was like looking through a kaleidoscope (each turn of the handle giving a different abstract perspective of the same bits of gemstone); Scry is more like a stained-glass crystal ball (a singular sculpture, with each fragment somehow offering an ephemeral glimpse into another world or dimension). Scry is deeply indebted to the electroacoustic works of Pauline Oliveros, David Behrman, Marion Brown, Maggi Payne, Harold Budd, and Jon Hassell - all of whom explored, in their own ways, the interconnectivity between acoustic instruments, interactive electronic signal processing, and improvisation - the crux of ‘Scry’s DNA. To this end: virtually all of the signal processing on ‘Scry’ is done live as I play saxophone/wind synth, either through a hardware setup that I control with my feet as I play, or through software instruments I build which respond live to what I’m playing. Often, both software and hardware processes are being used simultaneously. "To scry" defines the practice of foretelling the future through gazing into a crystal ball or other reflective surfaces. There's a lot to say here regarding the mix of temporalities, timelines, states of being, and so forth, but I mostly just have to give a special thanks to glass artist, composer, and dear friend Sadie Robison. The arcane aesthetics of her technicolor stained glass sculptures were a major influence on the themes of Scry 🧡" —Cole Pulice クレジット2022年9月30日リリース Recorded between 2019—2022 in: Minneapolis, Minnesota Seward, Ventura Village, 8vB Studio Oakland, California West Oakland, Oakland Music Complex, Paul Dresher Ensemble Studios, Reinhardt Redwoods Regional Park Lynn Avery: Live signal processing on "Moon Gate Rune," clarinet on "Scry" Charlie Bruber: Electric bass on "Astral Cowpoke," double bass on "City in a City" Mitch Stahlmann: Clarinet, Lou Harrison Digital Gamelan, Sampling on "Scry" Mixed by Lynn Avery & Cole Pulice Mastered by Angel Marcloid at Angel Hair Studios Art & Design by Steve Rosborough
