I'm still surprised this kid's show confirmed that one of the previous holders was a person that burned at the stake.  It's dark to think Tikki probably had to watch Jeanne burn alive and there was nothing she could do...Next week we're moving into our 3rd act I'd say 'Happy 4th of July'...but considering a shit ton of my freedoms got gutted this year...I think I'll pass pretending I live in a free country.

Causes de la Guerre de Cent Ans

La guerre de Cent Ans (1337-1453) fut un conflit intermittent entre l'Angleterre et la France qui commença lorsque le roi Édouard III d'Angleterre (1327-1377) se querella avec Philippe VI de France (1328-1350) au sujet des droits féodaux concernant la Gascogne et le commerce avec les Pays Bas. Édouard affirmait également qu'il était le roi légitime de France et insista sur cette revendication en remportant de grandes victoires aux batailles de Crécy (1346) et de Poitiers (1356). En 1360, Édouard renonça à sa revendication sur le trône de France en échange de la seigneurie de plus d'un quart de la France. La guerre se poursuivit ensuite alors que chaque partie tentait de contrôler le nord et le sud-ouest de la France. Après que Charles V de France (r. 1364-1380) ait repris une grande partie des terres perdues depuis le début de la guerre, il y eut une période de paix lorsque Richard II d'Angleterre (r. 1377-1399) épousa la fille de Charles VI de France (r. 1380-1422). Henri V d'Angleterre (r. 1413-1422), désireux de gagner gloire, butin et légitimité pour son propre règne, raviva le conflit avec son époustouflante victoire à la bataille d'Azincourt en 1415, ce qui lui permit d'être nommé héritier du trône français. Après la mort prématurée d'Henri V et le règne inefficace d'Henri VI d'Angleterre (r. 1422-61 et 1470-71), Charles VII de France (r. 1422-1461) reprit l'initiative. Avec l'aide de personnalités telles que le duc de Bourgogne et Jeanne d'Arc (1412-1431), Charles gagna la guerre et réussit à bouter les Anglais hors de tout le territoire français sauf Calais.

​

1431년 5월 30일 아침, 프랑스 북서쪽에 있는 작은 도시 루앙의 광장에는 만 명이 넘는 관중들이 가장 보기 좋은 장소를 차지하기 위해 서로 밀치며 모여들었다. 구경꾼들은 몇 주 동안 처녀의 재판을 지켜보았고, 그 처녀의 과거에 대한 너무나도 기이한 이야기들을 들었다.

광장의 중심에는 네 개의 큰 연단이 있었다. 그중 한쪽에는 재관관들이, 다른 한쪽에는 보초병들이, 세번

째에는 처녀와 성직자가, 마지막으로는 나무 기둥이 서 있었다. 그 기둥은 높이 세우기 위해 무더기로 쌓인 석고 기초 위에 심어져 군중들 모두가 볼 수 있었다.

처녀가 기둥으로 끌려가기 전에 몇 가지 의식이 행해졌다. 기도와 연설, 설교가 이어졌는데 너무 오랜 시간이 걸려서 처녀를 감시하던 80명의 영국 병사들중 몇 명이 그녀를 위해 기도하던 성직자에게 비아냥거렸다. "성직자여! 당신은 우리가 여기서 식사를 하게 만들 거요?" 마침내 처녀는 두 팔이 머리 위 기둥에

묶였고 이어 온몸이 기둥에 묶였다. 그리고 군중들은 기둥에 불이 붙었을 때 숨을 죽인 채 지켜보았다.

Hello! Happy Lunar new year! this snuck up on me this year cause I was busy with work and didn’t realize it was new years until my parents told me. anyways to those who celebrate please be happy and healthy this year and good luck with all your endeavors! so a couple months ago I finally decided to watch kamikaze kaitou jeanne because it was recommend to me a long time ago and I just never got around to it, if you like old anime titles like sailor moon, then you may want to try watching this, I still don’t know if there is an actual plot line but every episode there is a bad guy and this girl who is a reincarnation of jeanned'arc is supposed to eliminate the evil coming from those objects, it is very episodic so some of those episodes don’t really make sense as to where the timeline is going. But all in all it was good and worth watching if you like the nostalgic animation, I have watched a couple over the years like Pre-Tear and I really enjoyed it. so this is one of those tarot card inspirations again and it is of the main protagonist Marron in her “ disguised form ” called Jeanne, there should be a card called the phantom thief lol.
