Let's talk about JK's birthday in 2019.

I know it's a long time ago, but I got to thinking about it again and it just filled me with joy. And who am I to deprive you guys of some delusional joy as well? Right?

So, I think I am actually going to start from the end on this one.

JM flying half way across the world, from Paris...

to be with JK on his birthday only to have to fly out the next morning to Hawaii with Sungwoon.

And he does this all by surprising JK, who was not expecting him to be there with him, as he knew JM was in Paris, sly JM even sending him a kind of generic happy birthday message from Paris. You know, making sure JK KNOWS that he is still there on the streets of Paris all while JM was already on his way to be with him.

JM loved to tell us all about it in his Riad live (you know, the one he also told us how happy he was with the surprise birthday celebration JK arranged for him during their concert there, oh and the same one we got him eying his "manager").

He was so damn proud of himself.

And rightfully so.

He made JK's day.

Moving on.

Or perhaps moving back would be the proper way of putting it.

All of this happened on JK's birthday itself at night time (JM tells us he arrived back in SK 8-9 pm). But see, JK started off his birthday for us.

Wait. Was it for us? Or more so, was it only for us? Or was it perhaps also meant for that one person that wasn't there on that day. The one person that was in Paris, and whom JK believed was not going to be spending his birthday with him. The one person that flew half way across the world to surprise JK, and he sure did.

I know at this point I could be considered to be reaching a little bit, but hear me out here. Yes, JK was sending Army a message (well a few of them as you will see), but I do think that within those messages (this is something that those two are so good at), he was also sending another message, and it wasn't just for us. Although you could argue that in a sense it was also for us (letting us know who was on his mind at that point in time).

So here we go.

JK posts on Weverse on the eve of his birthday. This is just after midnight, specifically at 00:22 or 12:22 am KST.

This one is clearly for Army (not the one who declares himself to be Army).

Following that, JK moves on to Twitter, where he tweets twice exactly 40 minutes later. 2 tweets, one minute apart from each other.

First tweet at 1:03 am SKT:

Let's look at the numbers first before we move on to bigger and better things.

Just looking at those numbers we can get:

13-10 (1+9)

If we look at the date as 1.9.19 then we have the 13-10 and 1-9 as well. Go figure.

On purpose?

Who knows... maybe if we look into it a little further we will have more facts that can show us either way.

Could definitley be meant, once again, for us. Even though he already thanks us for making him happy. But what if this time it wasn't meant specifically for us. I mean, he already thanked us in a long message only 40 minutes earlier. What if the earlier one was for us, and this one here, with the timing of the posting, was meant for a special someone else, who happened to be far away from him.

Perhaps his choice to split his posts, his thanks, was because they were meant for 2 different recipients? Perhaps, this was just like him splitting up his White day live in 2023 into 4 segments. Each one of those segments with a clear purpose and you could also say a specific audience (at least for one of those 4 the intended audience was not us).

Yeah, I know, call me deluded. Call me crazy and call me whatever, but you know, I really don't think it's that far fetched.

And even more so when within a minute he tweets again. This time he uploads his gift - a snippet of his song Decalcomania.

Captioned: "This... Please look forward to it".

{Side note, we still are even though we will never get the full song seeing that he had deleted it.}

Like seriously, how can we miss this? And nope, you can't make up this shit either.

This is not a coincidence. Seriously, enough is enough with that excuse. The recurring use of these numbers. 118, Nov 8, again and again and again. Before and after.

This is a clear message JK is sending again

And here we have JK, on his birthday, following his tweet only one minute earlier thanking "you" for making him happy. Who he means by "you", well that I'm sure many will assume is his fans. At this point, seeing what came before and definitely what came after, I am easily convinced that it wasn't necessarily that "you", but the "you" that was about to surprise the shit out of him later that day.

So yeah, I'm finding it hard to conclude this is all a coincidence, seeing JM himself told us it's not...

As for Decalcomania. Well, that one requires a post all of it's own.

One more thing before I go.

JK's 2019 birthday was a big one. It happened when the band were on break. When JM was using this time to travel with friends (not that they didn't spend time together, JK basically tells us that in BV4). A time with a couple of yucky dating rumors. A time of self reflection. This was a break where JK had his hand tattoos done, and surprisingly (NOT) added that very 'inconspicuous' J just above the M after his birthday.

So yeah, this here my friends, is a hill, or even more so a mountain, that I am climbing up and are pretty confidently willing to die on...

Jimin's Birthday minus 4 - 2019 celebrations

BTS were on their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in October 2019. During the concert on the 11th October the Members organised a surprise for Jimin singing Happy Birthday to him in Arabic. Jimin was visibly shocked and then delighted skipping around the stage with a massive smile on his face.

The next morning he did a live to thank ARMY for their birthday wishes before he got on the plane back to Korea. He talked about how watching Jungkook enjoy the concert had helped him relax and enjoy it himself.

This is also the Vlive when he talks about his vacation in Paris and coming back in time for Jungkook's birthday before heading off again to Hawaii the following morning. He also talked about going to Russia in the same vacation period. He certainly made the most of the extended break in 2019.

Most of his birthday was probably spent on the plane back to South Korea. The members again posted birthday greetings. Jungkook posted the following pictures with the text, "Happy Birthday Jiminie hyung! And I’m sorry. HappyBday Jimin. I’m Really Sorry. Sorry. Sorry Once Again. There’s really nothing cool about these, I’m Sorry. It looks like you’re still sleeping, I’m sorry. You understand right I’m sorry. You are me I am you. So sorry."

Contigo Hobi is back in Desnudo and it is just 🤤 I mean, his look in the MAMA red carpet? I’m hoping I can have it out Christmas Day in central time 💜 yes there’s definitely some angst but it will have a happy ending. I can’t have my characters be sad, I love a happy ending 😭 I will have all the warnings and stuff up maybe in the teaser which I hope I can have ready next week 👀 I just have a few scenes left to write and then I have to edit but I think I can do this (hopefully 😅). Listen, we all love us some trio content, hang out, live, etc.. 3J, Jinjikook, Vminkook, Vhopekook, Namyoonmin, etc.. BUT can't we appreciate what a duo is doing together or what they are giving us?

It is actually disrespectful to everyone, and while we're talking about Vminkook here, not only it is disrespectful to Jikook (for those who actually care about Jikook) because somehow it makes it look like their bond is being looked down on by Army but it is also disrespectful to Tae (if your only concern is Tae) because it makes it look like you see him as a weak victim or someone who somehow doesn't have friends outside of the BTS circle and has to be included in everything.

Seriously you don't have to love Jikook but at the very least if it ain't your cup of tea learn to act like you don't see it at least instead of making useless comments that make you look like the whole circus 🤡

Buy anyways, i'm not saying that Jikook in Japan isn't making people mad that Jikook are in Japan all i'm saying is that Jikook in Japan got people having a hard time accepting that Jikook are in Japan and the very fact that Jikook are in Japan to me is absolutely beautiful and precious. But we already knew this yes? It's not the first time JK has said Jimin treats him the most. Even during one of the unfortunate moments when JK rated Jimin last, the latter was sure to remind him that he's the one who spends on him the most. So Jimin has always been generous with his baby since the very beginning. Which is why our next moment should come as no surprise.

It is not an underrated moment by any means whatsoever. In fact you will see this clip every few weeks on twitter on your timeline. Jikookers love this moment. But, we mostly talk about Jimin feeding JK which it's fine. Really. Its sweet and really nice to see. But all members feed eo it ain't a big deal. So what I like to talk about is what happens before Jimin feeds JK.

JK wants pizza. He stands, looks around, they've ran out so he sits back down. He glances at Jimin's one, but its whatever, pizza is finished. But here's the part I like; Jimin without even looking at JK, just knows what he wants and thats when he feeds him a bite from his own. So either a) He was watching JK on his periphery, or b) He is just that in tune with his boyfriend. I'm going with the latter coz it ain't the first time he's come through for JK even without him asking. That's what sets the moment apart from all the other times members have fed eo.

Next moment that proves how much Jimin loves JK applies to both since it also involves a whipped JK. Analysis time guys. 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

If you've ever noticed Jimin praises JK ALOT. I would say he praises JK the most. He is always telling us how good JK is, how talented, how he's good he is at everything. Even though we already know. Jimin never hesitates to praise JK and I for one love to see it. Most recent being the flying yoga episode when first thing he said was how good JK was gonna be at it

Even though we all know he was the king of said flying yoga. Jimin seems to be extremely proud of JK's talents and prowess. Here we saw him drooling over JK bungee jumping so yeah... he definitely likes that JK is so good. Jimin has always been super proud to have JK as his boyfriend. Its a shame antis don't care to see it.

Another thing that shows how much Jimin loves JK, is always being there for him when he needs comfort

What i love about this moment is that Jimin thought JK was puking when he ran over. And yet the first thing he does is grab JK's face to check on him. Vomit be dammed 🥺🥺🥺

Jimin is always there for the members when they need comfort. Yes. But I love love love how soft he's always been with JK. Remember during summer package when JK wrote a letter for Army and then got emotional? I love how Jimin wrote a poem for him after

And we haven't even talked about how Jimin has always rubbed the back of JK's neck since time immemorial.

When JK is in distress, when he makes a mistake, when the rest laugh at him, when he's confused, when the others talk over him and introvert JK can't get a word in. Jimin is always there to rub the back of his head to make him feel better since satellite Jikook are always next to eo.

That last one brings us to our last point since I've ran out of image space; Protective Jimin that one time Suga did the thing. They were reacting to that last concert and JK who as we all know cries the most was being comforted by Jimin. Once again.

Jin is the one who pointed out that JK was crying.

Pointed a finger at Suga, his hyung and everything. Suga picks on Jimin all the time. It's the most popular Yoonmin dynamic. And usually Jimin doesn't care. But he drew the line at Suga picking on his bae. 🤭🤭🤭 I love this moment sm!!! He seriously wasn't having it and that was so hot of him 🥵🥵

But Jimin really is the best boyfriend and you can tell by JK's loyalty and how JK has always made Jimin his priority. tbh the only thing i find a little sus abt jikook is the fact that, back in 2019 when they got their vacation, jimin left to enjoy paris/france with his friends, and was out clubbing at night without jungkook, and jungkook stayed behind and that's when both scandals happened (jm being filmed drinking and playing a game with a girl, and jk hugging the tattooer). like, im not saying they can't be seen with other people or can't go out without each other, and i know jm flew back to spend jk's birthday with him, but idk, isn't it just a little bit weird that they spent their vacation away from each other? especially jimin, out in a nightclub in france, doing god knows what? and jungkook hugging some random girl? (i know she was dating at the time and is married now) im not implying any cheating here, but i suspect that they were never a thing. idk, that's the only thing that makes me doubt them sometimes.

I've got a post about Mijoo already and won't talk about that more. Go find it if you want. And Jimin wasn't in a nightclub (although even if he was, that also would have been totally fine. Lmao God, it's like people think once you get into a relationship you can't have fun anymore unless your partner is there too) He was in a pub. You do know what pubs are right? Kinda like restaurants. A place to get food and some drinks? He was there with his manager and met some people there who knew who he was, who he thought were respectful and who spoke Korean and so they played a silly kids game together. Oh noooo. I know. I know. How horrifying for a taken man to visit such an establishment while enjoying a vacation without his partner. Which no, I also don't think it's weird for a couple to spend the occasional time off doing separate things. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The fact that either of these things were considered scandals at all is honestly horrifying and it's just proof that ARMY and the kpop industry is way too invested and needs to let the members live their lives and back off. Being a celebrity does not mean that they lost their right to privacy and autonomy. And the ridiculous expectations they are held to that just aren't healthy. Let them be adults and have fun and stop putting them under a microscope.

ALL THAT BEING SAID. If you don't think Jikook are together or dating, that's cool. Honestly, that's all good in my book. I don't really care. I'm happy to enjoy bts and jikook with people who do think jikook are dating. And im happy to enjoy bts and jikook with people who don't and just think they are good friends. Honestly. I'm not picky and as long as we are all cool and respectful about it, I'm all good about agreeing to disagree there. 💜

Can I ask what made you leave the fandom and what made you come back to it?

I have a love/hate relationship with it, in the sense that I love it soooo much that it can take over everything else. It’s addictive and I often find myself consuming an unhealthy amount of fics, and I can’t stop it. I feel it’s a blessing and a curse at the same time.

I feel you anon 🫂 hyperfixations are self-care but can also get unhealthy very quickly and it’s hard to manage our fandom engagement when we’re “in the zone”. I used to feel bad about it but now I indulge small breaks at the slightest sign of burnout, just to take a breather. I must have taken at least 3 breaks in the past 2 years (the blog was still active, I just wasn’t reading or reccing anything for a while). The reasons vary between feeling overwhelmed with too many new fics, feeling disconnected from fandom in general, or finding competing obsessions that take my fic time and energy away.

The longer breaks I mentioned before had other reasons: first one (2008-2011) due to an intense studying time between high school years and university entry, I barely did anything else and only came back to fandom because AO3 was launched and I found RurouniHime 🙌 then I got fully immersed in the MCU between 2013 and 2019, following the first Avengers movie.

Stony was a short-lived but very passionate ship phase for me, I was almost as obsessed as I am with Drarry and joined Tumblr to interact with the community, not a shy lurker anymore! But Civil War effectively killed the ship for me and I moved onto another OTP before losing interest in the MCU completely after Tony was killed off. Major kudos to @quicksilvermaid for dragging me back into Drarry by unknowingly posting the incredible Who we are in the shadows on my birthday, felt like a sign 💘

I used to come back because I loved the HP universe and was constantly revisiting the books and movies. Now JK has ruined that, so I come back for the sense of community, and to share this experience with the friends I’ve made here. Creating this blog and connecting with people changed my whole fandom experience - even if sometimes I still enjoy being a lurker and exploring smaller, less overwhelming fandoms! Take care of yourself, anon. Enjoy the ride but don’t let the addictive aspect take you away from enjoying life and your other hobbies! 💜

i think u confused the children, jk day (his birthday specifically) is September 1st, not January 9th (970901, not 970109)

i know many people may be confused but january 9th is jeongguk day. why? jeongguk himself declared january 9th his day 🥺 the first time jeongguk mentioned this was in the 2018 sg calendar (at that time everyone thought he was going to release something on that day so thats why he had marked it on the calendar but he just really wanted to declare january 9th his day lmao hes adorable 😆🥹):

he never told us why january 9th is his day but its probably because of the numbers 01/09 that may be referring to the numbers of his birthday 09/01. like jimin, whenever he sees the number 13 he says its his number. its so cute when he sees the clock and sees its 13 pm and he says "its jimin time" 🥺 and sometimes bighit likes to upload their content at the time thats is their birth date number.

Asks like these makes me realise that people still don't understand people tbh. You don't have to believe in taekook to comprehend human interaction with themselves and society. Everyone lies and especially people behind cameras. There is nothing wrong with it if the intent is good. This whole omission/tweaking of facts made me realise how bh sticks to jkk narrative with subtitles, cuts and emphasing on moments. Remember: serendipity as a choice for Jk's fave, hickey emphasis, them sharing cars. Bh also does it for taekook but in reverse like telling Jungkook even v left him after the tasks etc. the issue is not whether he left or not but to point out things to suit their narrative.

Unfortunately members also have to play their parts as well. Like I found it weird that jin had to emphasize twice on Tae's being absent for Jungkook's birthday last year. And it's not only members but taekook themselves who have done it. In fact Tae has alluded so many times that Jungkook doesn't give him time in the earlier days but goes to Jimin but then we see incidences like Jungkook's shoes outside his room and speaker in his hotel room. Anyone remember that may 2019 live where taekook showed such a big drama of tae exiting the room and mysterious flying wrappers. Yeah his room was def haunted. 🙄

It's not like they have never been on individual lives when the other is present (the live before Jungkook recorded his GCF Newark, Tae is clearly present and shown sitting near the table, though Jungkook shifted the camera so quickly). My point is they have to show that taekook don't spend time together without members or other people.

My advice to the anon is to keep an open mind and see how taekook drives the narrative that they are close but not like a couple coz they gotta protect themselves. Them implying they are not sharing room, when they do sometimes. Not staying together after outings (reverse lives) or mostly only disclosing their group outings. That whole its awkward talk. Though sometimes I feel Tae gets frustrated with how people hate taekook and let's it slip how he and Jungkook are so close. You see all this them not being together on important days are their way of protecting themselves. It's not a matter of if they were or were not but to make their point home that there is nothing between them.

They live in SK darling. We don't know how their families, friends, company, military, general public gonna react if they get outed. So even if they don't like they have to drive this narrative home. It's sad though when I really think about it but feel very proud when I seem them treasuring and protecting what they have in adverse conditions.

Why do you think Jimin decided to travel the world for 3 weeks without Jungkook back in 2019?

Here is a few things:

•They could have gotten a Tokyo 2.0, but decided not to.

•The little glimpses we got from JK during that time,... he looked quite sad

•I feel it in my gut that Jikook had a pivotal moment during their summer break in 2019.

I am not usually confident on speaking about Jikook fights/breaks seeing as I wasn't Army yet. As a late comer I only have others to rely on and I can't trust that 100%. It's always gonna be better consuming content in real time.

That being said 😁

I do agree with most assessments that something was a bit wonky in 2019. And while what Jimin did for JK's birthday was HUGE and sweet and amazing, I do feel like it happened for a reason. Almost like it was crucial for him to do so. Like, think about it.

He went to great lengths to make it for that birthday. And he was only there for a short period before he had to leave again.

Jimin spent more time travelling than with JK. But for some reason he just had to be there. Something about this has always seemed...not sus, no. But like there was more to it. You know what I mean?

And we haven't even factored in the photo Jimin uploaded where its pretty clear JK had been crying. Why would JK cry on his birthday? My theory, which isn't really mine but rather an existing theory that I agree with, is that mans did not expect so see Jimin and was hella relieved that Mimi showed up.

Jimin had taken off for however long the Tannies were on holiday for, without JK and the latter thought for sure his bf wasn't going to be there for his birthday. We know this because the whole thing was a surprise.

Also, this was around the time (2018-2019) members were moving out of the dorm and getting their own places so we know Jikook had been inseparable until this point. And while it has always been common knowledge that Jimin had other friends outside of BTS, that wasn't the case for JK.

So members are scattered doing their own thing with their friends and family and JK is in Seoul doing what? Jikook are interdependent we already know this and JK's person is travelling Europe without him. So probably the very first time in years they've been away from eo, for this amount of time.

I can see this affecting satellite Jeon big time. And so when he's already accepted Jimin will be MIA for his big day, BOOM! their friend helps Jimin organise the surprise party for JK.

If Jikook were fighting like many seem to think, then JK was prolly so happy to see Jimin. He didn't expect him, for one. And also he didn't know how long the fight was gonna last for, so the waiting had prolly been torture. So Jimin showing up must have made JK so relieved and happy. Poor baby

That he went and tattooed JM on his hand to show his gratitude? His devotion? His commitment? Who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️

So why do I think they fought u ask? I do not know, anon. I wasn't around. But theories that make sense to me;

Jimin wanted them to enjoy their holiday separately?

They'd been inseparable for 8 years and Jimin thought some space would do them good?

Jimin wanted them to hang out with other people rather than just each other?

All theories insinuate whatever separation was happening during this time was Jimin's call. Because if it was up to JK they would spend 24/7 together and he would be just fine. As long as he has Jimin, is all good.

And because Jimin knows his baby has separation anxiety, he made sure to @least come back for JK's birthday. Even if it would only be for a few hours before he was off traveling again.
