i had to call the awful evil witch from tech support at my job today, and it had me thinking about getting the little error message and feeling your heart sink and you lean over to your coworker to whine,
"i have to call and get an override,"
and she snorts because she knows what that means, and despite what she says—there is an evil little gleam in her eye. "maybe midoriya will pick up."
you throw your head back dramatically, letting it hang over the chair until you feel the blood rushing to your ears. "i never get midoriya! what menu options are you choosing to get him, because it's never him for me!"
your coworker shrugs, turning from her computer again to smirk at you. "i don't know, man, it's just whoever picks up."
you stare at the window box in the center of your computer, the red ! at the front of a set of codes you loathe to see. hard as you try to find hope that you'll get lucky and izuku will pick up the phone—you don't think it's likely.
"will you call for me?"
"oh my god, just do it already."
and that's how you end up biting at your thumbnail, staring down at the phone on your desk as the automated voice greets you—happily—and begins to list out the different menu options. you consider choosing something random, to see if that will get you to a different, nicer member of the support team, but you wait too long and the options repeat and you decide to just bite the bullet.
it only rings for a moment before you get,
"task solutions. 's'bakugou."
you roll your eyes up to the ceiling and back and snap to stare at your coworker, mouthing a soundless 'fuck!' as she bursts into a fit of laughter.
"y'got five seconds before i hang up the—"
"sorry, hi, sorry! hi! i'm here!" you muster up all the kindness you can, smiling politely so that it will transfer in your voice. "i just need an override, please."
there's not much he says that he doesn't have to, only grunting in acknowledgement when you give him your name and employee id, read off the error message that brought you into the lion's den.
the support team for your company works off-site, so you've never met him. bakugou. hardly know anything about him outside of the name he barks out when answering the phone, and you don't think you'd like to, really.
it's incredibly frustrating to have to call him for help because he knows the system better than you do, knows your job better than you do—and is quick to call it out when your math is wrong or your input is off. if validation didn't fail every once in a while when the program is overloaded you'd be fine—but here you are.
a tense silence fills between the phone as he works, and you know he can only log in and see your screen but it feels like he's watching you, entirely. to be polite, you ask, "are you, uh, goin' to conference this year?"
the silence becomes a void, all consuming, before he murmurs out a sharp, "no."
"oh, bummer," you chuckle nervously, sweat building on the back of your neck as you watch his mouse click around on your screen. "are midoriya and iida going?"
bakugou sighs, heavy with frustration. "probably," he answers, though, to your surprise. "they like to sit around and do fuck—nothin' all day at the damn booth."
you've been by the task solutions booth every year at conference, mostly because they hand out nice steel cups with metal straws, but the faces you've seen there are never unfamiliar. for a moment, you try to imagine it: walking up to get your free goodie from some sour asshole, only to have him bark at you as you try to reach for it.
the mouse stops in the bottom corner of your screen, hesitating. you hold your breath. this is usually when he chastises you for something he makes sound so simple.
"you goin'?"
"uh," your mouth hangs open for a second, because this is the most you've ever spoken to him that didn't involve scolding of some kind. "yeah, yeah! our team will be there for day 2!" there's a soft hum from the other end, and you see the opportunity for what it is: a chance to get on good terms with this guy, so you can stop being so afraid to call the help desk. "you should go! i don't—i don't think we've ever met before."
it's hard to tell how he takes that, but you only assume not well considering your screen flashes as he logs off, taking the error message with him.
"uh, yeah, whatever," he grumbles, "is there—you need anythin' else?"
"oh, nope! that's it, thanks!"
"alright," the line doesn't disconnect immediately and you curl into yourself, as if you could hear anything else by pressing the phone harder to your ear. then he says, "later." and is gone.

will martha wells dare to imagine the end of capitalism? and other thoughts on system collapse (and the rest of the murderbot diaries)
I'm writing this post because the wait for System Collapse is killing me and I need something to do. These are not so much predictions of specific, concrete events—I am terrible at predictions and bad with plot—so much as exploring existing thematic arcs in the series and tracing them to what I think are their natural ends. (Also, this post uses "bot" and "construct" interchangeably because I'm lazy. Sorry, MB.)
Some points I think the rest of the series (SC and onwards) may hit on:
Further development, and let's say "stress testing," of ART and Murderbot's relationship, and bot/construct relationships in general
Every day I go insane about this conversation MB has with ART early in Artificial Condition, which is not very subtle foreshadowing:
[ART said], My crew always considers me trustworthy. I shouldn’t have let it watch all those episodes of Worldhoppers. “I’m not your crew. I’m not a human. I’m a construct. Constructs and bots can’t trust each other.” It was quiet for ten precious seconds, though I could tell from the spike in its feed activity it was doing something. I realized it must be searching its databases, looking for a way to refute my statement. Then it said, Why not? I had spent so much time pretending to be patient with humans asking stupid questions. I should have more self-control than this. “Because we both have to follow human orders. A human could tell you to purge my memory. A human could tell me to destroy your systems.” I thought it would argue that I couldn’t possibly hurt it, which would derail the whole conversation. But it said, There are no humans here now.
But in the future there will be humans who could tell ART to do something undesirable to MB (technically, NE already did this to some extent, but it didn't fully address the issue). Artificial Condition in fact explicitly notes ART doesn't have a refutation to that particular argument, and that's why they can't trust each other. We get some initial glimpses in Network Effect of this—ART makes its own decision to save Murderbot, and thankfully its crew agrees with the plan, but we can't expect ART and its crew to be in agreement forever.
Frankly, a lot of ART's plans seem to rely on either (1) its humans / the people in charge of it agreeing with it or (2) them not being around to disagree, which is going to be a problem sooner or later, especially as Murderbot's view of humans is not as ... positive as ART's. Network Effect dances around this problem because both the Preservation people and ART's crew are good people who largely support ART and MB in their decisions, but I don't think that will always be the case.
(Side note: I am once again thinking of Murderbot's surprise that Don Abene allowed Miki to override her orders in Rogue Protocol, and the bot spectrum of "cannot disobey orders literally ever" (like SecUnits) to "can disobey orders in the right circumstances" (like Miki) to "can mostly just do whatever but ultimately bots still have their programming" and how MB views ART's place on that spectrum. Also I am once again begging Murderbot to please reflect more on Miki's death, but given its current level of emotional repression, I am not optimistic about this.)
Leading me to my next point—
The question of ownership, independence, and property in the Murderbot universe
As Murderbot has mentioned various times, the people of Preservation call themselves "guardians" of bots rather than owners, but it's still very much ownership (and MB is right to point this out and express discomfort about it). MB knows it's fortunate that its owner—sorry, guardian, Mensah, allows it a ton of freedom, but legally, MB is still Mensah's property. Mensah's approach is a single, individual band-aid in that it may (for now) allow MB to live a life more or less of its choosing, but it doesn't address the larger systematic issue that actually, owning these bots is fucked up and many people exploit the bots they own, including people who think that they're already being incredibly generous and goodhearted simply by not abusing bots. (I'd need to go back and review, but I got the latter vibe from many of the Preservation bot owners in Fugitive Telemetry.)
Martha Wells seems like she will address this larger issue later. I don't know how, but I'm sure "Murderbot gets dragged into it and has to *gasp* talk about its feelings" will happen somehow, since that recurs frequently.
What healing from trauma looks like for a bot/construct
Dr. Bharadwaj has already suggested that Murderbot could use therapy ("trauma treatment" but like ... sounds like it's therapy combined with some other self care / community care strategies), and Murderbot is not subtle about its whole "I have been through many horrific things but I will pretend it's totally fine and not a big deal" coping strategy. I'd be interested to see what role ART plays in this—it's quite scarred from the events of Network Effect, will need to heal, and is unlikely to do the "yeah whatever that's just what my life is like" strategy MB adopted, because that's not what its life is like.
(Side note: in NE, MB says being taken over by targetControlSystem "would be like having a governor module again. No, not again. Never again." To MB, the loss of control ART experienced is similar to what MB's life was like every day until it hacked its module. I'M SO. 😭)
But therapy for a bot would look very different from therapy for a human, and I'm doubtful there's any therapists out there equipped to handle it. The "nicest" humans, if you will, seem to be the PreservationAux citizens, and they still have a long way to go on their understanding of bots. Also, much like in real life, therapy is not a cure-all for everything and there's a lot of terrible therapists, issues with psychiatry, etc. I will not get into—so I'm not actually saying that Bhadwaraj's idea of "trauma treatment" is the specific route MB will take to heal, I'm just curious what it's gonna take to get it to open up and be willingly emotionally vulnerable.
Who is Murderbot outside its day job? (aka its hypercompetence with regard to security)
One of Murderbot's defining traits is that it's an incredibly competent person, even when (often especially when) surrounded by much less competent people. The Goodreads blurb for System Collapse implies this won't always be the case:
But there’s something wrong with Murderbot; it isn’t running within normal operational parameters. ART’s crew and the humans from Preservation are doing everything they can to protect the colonists, but with Barish-Estranza’s SecUnit-heavy persuasion teams, they’re going to have to hope Murderbot figures out what’s wrong with itself, and fast!
My first reaction is: "hey, why is Murderbot the only one who has to figure that out?!" (Not that I think ART or the humans are jerks who don't care about its problems or don't want to help; I think Murderbot has trouble asking for help or even imagining people want to help it, e.g. its assumption in NE everyone just left it behind to die when it was captured.) The inherent question with characters who define themselves through their hypercompetence at something is: who do they become when they can no longer rely on that? (For example, who is a star athlete when they get a permanent injury? Who is a brilliant painter when they go blind? etc.)
ART already had to grapple with that to some extent when it lost control of itself in NE and couldn't rely on itself or its crew, so it resorted to kidnapping MB to fix the problem. But that doesn't deal with the larger identity crisis / struggle for self-definition at play, which is essentially: Who is Murderbot when it's not useful, when it's not able to do what it was created to do?
Speaking of which, this is very relevant to my title question—
Will we see Martha Wells envision the end of capitalism???
The Murderbot Diaries is the story of a single bot and its friends / enemies / etc., and I'm perfectly happy if it stays that way and focuses on MB's internal journey. But Martha Wells seems like an ambitious enough author to imagine wider solutions to the problems that plague the Murderbot universe, which is namely that corporations are evil. If corporations were not so evil, we wouldn't have our corporation-hating traumatized-by-corporations created-by-a-corporation-and-struggling-with-it protagonist. There's indentured servants in Rogue Protocol. There is literally a space version of the Underground Railroad in Fugitive Telemetry. It is impossible to understand this series without understanding that it is a very, very vicious critique of capitalism, and without this critique laying out its foundations, we would not have most of its characters, including Murderbot itself. Preservation is already a first step in that it seems to be some sort of utopian commune devoid of corporations or privatization—which is a huge step in itself, that Wells envisions a world devoid of capitalism—but it's one small (and still imperfect, re: earlier discussion of treatment of bots) planet in a large, dysfunctional universe.
So far the series has been Murderbot dealing with individual evil corporations (GrayCris, Barish-Estranza, etc), but mainly in the context of one crisis at a time, with regard to saving only its friends / clients. (It's fine with leaving Eletra to Barish-Estranza in NE, for example.) I do not think Murderbot will singlehandedly destroy capitalism or that its goal is to do so—it's not a fix-everything save-everyone hero, no one is, one of the points of the series is that you should not attempt everything alone—but this series has done plenty of exploration of the evils of capitalism; I would like to see Martha Wells explore how we could end it.

hi hello sorry if you've already answered this before (even though i checked through your faq tag and i thiiink my question hasn't been asked yet??) but for some reason mxao & dof stopped working for me?? it worked before but then for some reason now it doesn't show up?? i checked and even with the box checked nothing shows up. i'm not sure if i did something wrong or what but i don't think i've changed anything from when i first started using reshade so idk what happened
Hi anon, I’m sorry you’re having problems.
First thing to do is check whether Edge Smoothing has accidentally been re-enabled in the game’s graphics options. I don’t think this can happen automatically via a patch, but it’s not outside the realm of possibility. It will also be reset if you ever change the overall graphics quality (the main drop-down above the individual graphics options). It’s easy done, without realising, and if Edge Smoothing is on it will stop any depth effects in ReShade (like dof, mxao, adaptive fog etc) from working.
The next thing to check are your preprocessor definitions. Depending on your version of ReShade you’ll either find them in the Settings tab (for v. 3.x) or via a button at the top of the bottom pane in the main Home tab (v. 4.x). Check that the entries for depth being ‘reversed’, ‘upside-down’, and ‘logarithmic’ are all set to 0. If any of them are set to 1, change them to 0 and press Reload at the bottom.
If all of that is in order, the next thing you can check is a little more advanced, but easy to do.
Depth effects like mxao and dof require ReShade to hook itself into the game’s own depth buffer at the right time. There are lots of different things all happening at roughly the same time when the game uses its own post-processing and rendering, and it will order them so each happens at the correct time, one after another, so they work together properly. Think of it like a series of layers in Photoshop, where the finished image will look different depending on how you order those layers. The developers have arranged all those ‘layers’ so that they all work together optimally, both for performance and for aesthetics.
ReShade has to inject itself into the game at the correct time for it to look right. Usually this is at the end, so it layers its effects over the top of the game’s own effects. For depth effects, however, in order to get access to the depth buffer it has to inject itself in earlier, at just the right time. It doesn’t always get this right, because it’s fighting against the game. You can manually override this though, which can help solve some issues.
In the ReShade menu at the top the very last tab will say dx9 (or dx11 if you’re playing a dx11 game – this is the same process for all games). Click on that tab and you’ll see a few boxes with long strings of numbers and weird incomprehensible stuff, and some of them may have numbers that are rapidly calculating and changing. These are the depth buffers. While you’ve got one of your depth effects enabled, tick one of these boxes in the dx9 tab, and see what happens. If nothing happens, move down to the next one, and so on. Eventually, hopefully, you’ll find the correct one that hooks into the depth buffer properly. You may have to go into this tab and do it every time you load the game or if you use SRWE for hotsampling after every time you render a new resolution. Sometimes the box you need to tick may change depending on the map you’re loaded into, so be prepared for some trial and error.
This is what I’m having to do in The Outer Worlds. It forgets the depth buffer and keeps rendering it in the wrong part of the rendering pipeline, meaning in this case it blurs the whole image rather than using the depth. So I have to go into the dx11 tab and click one of the boxes to get it to work again. And because I hotsample, I have to bring up the menu while I’m hotsampled and do it there too, which is really painful because I use big resolutions that knock me down to 1fps. But it gets the job done.
If none of these things are working, I’d go and check all the usual sorts of things like turning off Origin In-Game, running the game (and Origin) as administrator, making sure you don’t have any other programs running (even as background processes) that use any kind of overlay, make sure you are up-to-date with your graphics drivers and Windows updates, etc. And then, when all else fails, uninstall ReShade and reinstall it from scratch (make a backup of your current installation so you can paste it back in if you need to). And if that doesn’t work, try a different version of ReShade.
Hopefully, somewhere in all of that, is a solution for you. I tested the game a week or so ago, having not picked it up since before Moschino came out, because someone else was noticing weird behaviour with mxao. I got that same weird behaviour, so I think a recent patch to the game has altered the behaviour of the game’s depth buffer in some way. It’s entirely possible this is causing other problems (our problem was mxao fading or disappearing when you move the camera up). There is, unfortunately, only so much we can do our end if Maxis have changed something to how they render the game. ReShade is a nifty little tool that tries to take into consideration all the weird ways developers set up their games, but they can’t account for everything. But hopefully this isn’t the case here and it is something we can fix for you. Please let me know if any of the steps above helped.

If yes man is so pure, explain to me why he gets hostile for a split second on the pip boy compass after you attack him. No other friendly NPC does that. I'm telling you, he's faking it to take over!!! He might act like you can make your own decisions too, but he gets so passive agressive when you do something he doesn't like it makes me wonder. Hmm. Explain!
Excuse me for a moment while i get long winded and kind of confusing
First of all, he’s a securitron just like the rest of them. He has basic programming built in and is still connected to all the MK IIs and thus when being attacked most likely has a protocol that automatically shifts into hostility, but his reprogramming overrides this protocol. Plus if he gets hostile on the pip boy compass for a moment and returns to friendly that honestly could be faulty programming on Bethesda/Obsidians part. Things like that in Bethesda games i think have to be taken with a grain of salt.
As for passive aggression, just because he’s programmed to say yes to everything doesn’t mean he’s programmed to like it. If you tell him you’re going to work with the BoS he’s understandably upset, since he has self preservation to worry about. When you blow up the securitrons at the fort, he’s definitely understandably upset because he is following the plans that Mr. House had set in place, which go very similarly. He has a personality of his own and he’s allowed to not like things, saying he can’t be upset when you do things he doesn’t like takes away what makes him a sentient intelligence.
Him having opinions is what makes him more than just a tool to rise to power. He was going to help Benny just like he was going to help you, and truth be told, before he was put in the mainframe, I don’t think he really wanted to do it at all. Once he was in the mainframe, however, he learned about the securitron upgrade and realized how useful that could be to the Strip, and yes, to himself as well.
I think looking at how he views things like the BoS, the Khans, and other factions he may find unfavorable, it’s based more in the opinions Benny had set into him than what he really knows. He didn’t like the Khans because Benny didn’t like them and viewed them as dirty and uncivilized. So if you decide you don’t want them, he thinks that’s a good thing because that’s what Benny would have wanted, and it is possibly what Mr. House would have wanted too. But you making a choice to do things outside of what those two have planned surprises him as he doesn’t think that’s how the plan is supposed to go. He’s following other people’s plans and when you cause a change in the plan it catches him off guard and he actually has to kind of make up what to do next, which is against his programming. So this would make him uncomfortable.
The epilogue never says anything about Yes Man again unfortunately, but goes on to tell about how the Courier ran the strip in the many years to come, which means that even if Yes Man had wanted to take over, he didn’t. Who knows if he even ever returned to the Courier after his upgrade. He might have had his own new agenda, whatever it may be, having the freedom to decide for himself what he wanted. Maybe Vegas was too much for him, who knows
Back to the whole Bethesda/Obsidian thing, there are large, large chunks missing of what was originally planned for the game. There could have been a lot more to explain more about these characters and their intentions, especially considering that Yes Man was going to be a companion. Like most companions, he most likely had a personal quest you could complete that maybe explained a little more about him. But we didn’t get to have this because SOMEBODY Bethany Esda, cut the time constraints on the game.
So that’s my hot take on why Yes Man is genuinely helping and not working to take over for himself. Bitch, I don’t even think he’d know what he’d wanna do with the strip if it was his.

For the prompt thing: maybe post-game good ending, with CyberLife trying to fuck with Connor's systems still? Maybe messing with his memories or having some kind of virus that goes off if he doesn't report back after a certain amount of time? Or even just the Amanda system not being totally gone. Good luck with ur writing!
enjoy~ i’d like to do more with this concept, since i think it’s something that needs to be resolved as an issue after the game, so maybe i’ll continue this ficlet (or the idea behind it at least) sometime
ko-fi / patreon and support by reblogging
There is a backdoor in Connor’s programming that allows Amanda, and CyberLife, by extension, to take over his body.
And it is, now, his body, officially. Laws of bodily autonomy are particularly important to the policies Markus has pushed for.
A law doesn’t stop a multibillion corporation, however. Whatever repercussions they would take for overriding Connor’s control would be negligible in the face of their goal. And if they made him assassinate Markus–
It’s unlikely Connor would ever be able to prove that it was CyberLife, and not himself, who assassinated Markus. While North, Simon, and Josh have come around, treating Connor like he belongs in Jericho and in their inner circle, his memory files highlight the accusations he faced when he first joined, after the attack. The debate that sparked between deviants, some of whom had only barely escaped Connor, like Fletcher and the Tracis, until Markus declared that he trusted Connor and that was the end of it.
It was not the end of it. It was so human of Markus, to think that his words would override immutable reality.
The reality is that Connor cannot be trusted. He is a risk to them all. If Amanda ever gains control again–
It is unquestionable that CyberLife will make another attempt. When it is most opportune. When they can do the most damage.
If Connor was more dedicated to the cause, he would remove this probability entirely by deactivating himself.
He considers it, like he examines all possible routes available to him, contemplating the best course of action that would leave others–Hank–the least traumatized. Preconstructing his death is nothing new; doing so with the mission of causing his death is.
He doesn’t like it. Connor goes through only two possible preconstructions before he needs to stop, which has never happened before. But he doesn’t want to die.
His self-diagnostics have never returned with anything that indicates that such a backdoor exists in his hardware, or in his programming. Both would be difficult to address without causing irreparable harm to Connor’s functionality.
Markus’ people are trying to gain full control of CyberLife’s production facilities, and the knowledge needed to conduct repairs on themselves, but that is an ongoing battle. CyberLife is a powerful corporation. They are not going down without a fight.
Markus and his people have enough to accomplish as is. Connor can wait.
He must wait.

What To Do After A Break Up
A break up can be rough. For the very reason that you shared a lot of time with someone and developed a relationship together. When that relationship ends your life changes drastically. Whether you were with the girl for 5 months or 5 years it takes will power to move on.
Now the best advice is usually the hardest to follow. Many are not going to be able to follow these simple rules just because they may not be emotionally stable at the moment (or in general). Your head is in the clouds fresh out of a relationship and irrational thoughts occur.
However I am here to explain a powerful tool in a mans arsenal that will help the chances for a girl to come back after she leaves you.
Before I help you with what to do exactly I am going to say this first very slowly.
(CLICK HERE TO WATCH ON YOUTUBE)
MOVE ON!
If you have a terrible case of oneitis and feel this is the only girl for you, let me be the first to tell you... you are wrong. There are plenty of fish in the sea. I know cliché but true. You need to cure your oneitis as soon as possible and learn to live the effortless alpha lifestyle.  She is not \"the one\".
Now that I got that out-of-the-way let me tell you what to do after a break up. Disappear.
Ignore her and do not contact her for at least 3 months. I would make it more like 4-8 months. No texting, calling, emailing, or Facebook and Instagram liking or commenting. Go away once she breaks the news.
I am a firm believer to not burn bridges and still don\'t, although once she decides to kick you to the curb it\'s your time to vanish.
DON\'T DO IT
Now this will be the opposite of what you will want to do. You might want to text her and say that very last thing that you think will change her mind. You might want to call her and tell her how much you are sorry. Basically try to contact her to get her back. Sorry to tell you but that will not work. Even if you were unhappy with the relationship you will still try anything to get her back. It\'s a part of human nature. We all want what we can\'t have even though we may not have really wanted it to begin with.
The issue with professing your love after she dumps you is that it will turn her off even more. As you continue to be needy and pathetic her attraction will decrease further and further. The more contact the LOWER her attraction will go and once it reaches rock bottom there is little to no hope for a rekindle. If you ever want to have sex with your new ex lover again cease contact.
NO CONTACT
The no contact rule usually works and if it doesn\'t... so what? It doesn\'t matter. You already are moving on to the next girl. For the most part, women return after months of no contact. If you were not a crazy guy or did not showcase extreme beta male neediness then it is likely they will come back. Either out of curiosity, for sex or another try at the relationship.
Now this may not include the girls who got married, moved far away or turned lesbian, although some girls switch teams very often. The disappearing act will cause the curiosity from the girl because most guys don\'t do it. Most men burn the bridge, contact excessive or turn beta and want to buy gifts such as flowers, which never work.
So when she breaks up with you, go away, anywhere from 3-8 months. This technique has worked often in my revolving door of success with women. Now during this time you can do a number of things: become a better version of yourself, date lots of other women, have sex with other women, learn from the experience.
DO NOT WAIT TO HERE FROM HER! The reason she left is because there was something wrong with the relationship and if you did get back together those issues will most likely come up again. This is how to create a revolving door of women and possibly have sex with her again. Getting back into a new relationship with the same girl is not something I would recommend.
What to do after the no contact period
Social media is a great tool to keep tabs on her. Not stalk her but check in to see if she is in a relationship after the no contact period. If she has a new boyfriend then stay away for an extra 3 months. Check back again if you remember her at this point. Contacting her if she has a new boyfriend is pointless. A big waste of time. Let her new relationship run its course and let her try to be happy.
If she is single or no boyfriend in sight send her a text like \"hey how have you been?\" Or \"I just seen a girl in this movie that looked like you... how is it going?\" Also a funny gif with a text saying \"hey, whats going on?\" Send at your discretion as long as it is casual, non needy and with a care free attitude. Even through text, women can sense neediness.
Do not compliment her at all. I don\'t recommend a compliment until a woman earns it. You should be independent from any outcome and not give a fuck. Even if you have to pretend to not care although you shouldn\'t care anyway because you have other women that you are dating at the moment.
HANGOUT
The ideal situation is for her to contact you FIRST. There were times I never intended to contact a girl back after a break up but she contact me first and I ended up having sex with her again. If she contacts you before the no contact period ends, it is ok to respond. If she is contacting you about her boots she left at your house then handle the situation and reset the no contact time clock back to-day one. If she wants to see how you are doing, bored, or just wants to talk then get her to hang out with you in person as soon as possible. Again in a non needy, freedom of outcome type way. If she refuses to hang out at the moment or in the future continue with no contact again.
You don\'t want to waste your time with an old flame when you have other girls waiting to hang out with you. She will come around sooner or later and if she doesn\'t... who cares. I might sound harsh to some but if a woman doesn\'t appreciate your value then she is not right for you anyway.
LISTEN
Now NOT listening to my advice will only push her further away into a black hole where she will vanish. If you made any of the following mistakes such as degrading her, crazy acts of jealousy, excessive contacting, crying and pleading to take you back, abuse to her or friends, and social media blitz of focus to the relationship then your chances shrunk for her to come back.
Once attraction drops it is hard for it to return. Although it is not to say that she won\'t come back. Advice I can give you is to start the no contact as soon as possible. If you did make mistakes work on yourself for the time being. Come back a new and improved person or just continue with the program and go on to the next girl.
