just read Old Man Hawkeye and like I knew it was set way in the future in a shitty timeline but DAMN I was not prepared for how soul-suckingly sad it was gonna be :(

Old Man Hawkeye is heartbreaking in a special sort of way in which Clint becomes everything he would never want to be which would be a bad father and a revenge driven killer.

Also heartbreaking to see what his original Thunderbolts team betraying him does and the spiral it causes. Also fuck Zemo for that damn comment about how he isn’t worth killing cause BOY DID HE LEARN HOW WRONG HE WAS FOR THINKIN THAT.

It’s always painful to see Clint go down a path of self destruction and Old Man Hawkeye is like that TOO AN EXTREME like to a point Logan himself doesn’t even want to get involved which is crazy because Logan and revenge driven destruction 🤝 a garauntee LMFAOO

Clint has always been a little obsessive about things that hurt him and unable to simply let go (despite what he might outwardly display) and even he himself knows this a suicide mission of sorts because he shows up to say goodbye to his daughter who wants absolutely nothing to do with him.

Which OW because he was unable to let go of what happened to the avengers, what happened with the Thunderbolts, he loses something he always wanted, which was a family.

HER PART HAD ME IN TEARS Her not being angry for him killing Abe. Her asking for forgiveness and redemption and by the end he didn’t even want her dead but she was taken from him anyway IM SICK IM SICK

And you know what even through all of that change you know who is still there for him (although pissed and fucking annoyed about it) Kate. May the gods bless Kate because THE PATIENCE OF A SAINT and he still pushed her away

And in the end it all didn’t even fucking matter because Zemo wasn’t even able to fight. All of his righteous fury just left him with nothing in his life. Because after Zemo it’s still hungry and it leaves him without Kate now

SICK just thinking about it. She knows he is going to get himself killed and she can’t watch it and Clint doesn’t care if he ends up dead because at this point all he has left is that anger. If he lets it go what else is he supposed to do.

I could actually talk about Old Man Hawkeye forever because I think it’s a good character reflection for Clint if he was ever pushed to that edge.

I can’t speak much on the tma terminology or character comparisons (but I wholeheartedly trust you as someone who is clearly passionate about it). however, on the subject of Gregory and Christophe as mercenaries:

in the movie, Gregory is initially the one who is supposed to go free Terrance and Phillip (two political prisoners who are about to be publicly executed). however, Stan insists that he go instead so Gregory tells him he has to go and request the services of a mercenary named “The Mole”. when he meets Stan and his gang, Christophe only calms down once they mention they were sent by “that Gregory kid”. this seems to imply that Christophe is probably often hired by Gregory to do mercenary work. “mercenary work” is such a broad term though, bc it could mean literally anything so long as Christophe is paid for it. however, since Gregory is such a political revolutionary (and Christophe specifically says “viva la resistance”), fans have tended to have them working against corrupt governments or corporations. often in the form of assassinations and breaking into compounds.

hopefully that bit of information is helpful for you! again, I wish you the best of luck in continuing to write your script and with making art 👀 imo the true secret to making art is that art styles only exist in so much as that you find what works best at the moment. art styles change and that’s a good thing! unless you’re doing a webcomic I don’t think you necessarily need to find a “consistent” style (and even then it’s totally not required) ☺️

"Huh. I hope you got some horror movies then" he stated, while he began looking through the various disks organized in a box in front of the tv.

"As you can se…I have a bit of a collection so…just pick one".

"Where are your parents by the way?" He asked, picking up a DVD and holding it up against the light to check for any scratches, before pulling the hem of his shirt, the third one, to be exact, and wiping away some dust on the shiny surface of the object, exposing his somewhat toned abs and a few deep, thick scars on them as well.

"They'll be out of town for a while…" Klara answered, tugging on her own shirt, nervously, like a fidgety toddler would.

They watched the movie, well mostly Seth did, after practically force-feeding Klara at least half of a pizza, making her chug two beers, letting her collapse on top of him on the couch and leaving to get home in the middle of the night.

IVE BEEN THINKING AND MY OPINON HAS DRASTICALLY CHANGED,

something ppl dont do enough when thinkin ab the future of shows like stranger things is like. the behind the scenes. i dont think theyd kill robin bc of the backlash theyd get killing the ONLY queer character in the show. i think that idea is off the table entirely

and then think ab season 5. are they really going to kill steve harrington, the #1 fan favourite character, right before the final season? idk about that either. maybe???????? sure. but i think all the build up could be leaving to a giant nothing burger tbfh. maybe murray or enzo will die. someone ppl dont care abt. jason probably will. next season tho? everyones dying theyre gonna execute the duffer brothers live

idk how the second volume is going to play out but if its another seven episodes my guess is this: first episode back, the show heavily implies everyone dies. im thinking robin, eddie, nancy, steve, dustin, lucas, etc etc. like everything we see in the trailer takes place in the first episode. cause when u think about it.... theres just not enough content shown for it to be a whole seven episodes.
