Hi hi i heard you wanted some headcanons!! As always this is /lh, not meant to be taken that seriously, agree to disagree, yada yada all that good jazz lmao. Most of them are pretty crack-y in nature as well, they're just meant for fun lol. And with that, I'll compile my miles long headcanon list into (mostly) sorted by character for everyone's convenience lmao

- starting off strong with trans EJ! Idk why but do headcanons really need a reason? (I do know why) (i like to make my blorbos suffer 💖) (and also [diverges your neuros] [transes your genders] [homos your sexuals]). Also biromantic asexual king

- more EJ because he's THE blorbo. Boy is british asf and he knows BSL and is learning ASL. Touch averse as well. I feel like EJ would actually be a decent if not great cook.

- EJ purring like a cat when he's content/happy? I think yes! Also has a tail with one of those tail tuft thingies? Kinda like lions if you know what i mean. And the pointy ears (peak character design yaknow)

- moving on. I feel like Jeff knows how to play an instrument. Probably electric guitar. He also has like a bajillion band t-shirts. Jeff also likes to take long, hot showers but hates to comb his hair lol

- while Brian cooks food so bad/raw it could as well just still be alive, Toby is either a great cook or a disaster in the kitchen with seemingly no indicator for which one it's going to be on any given day. I'm talking managing to burn a pot of water one day and cooking a michelen star worthy meal the next.

- Kagekao is actually fluent in English and speaks and understands it perfectly, he just refuses to speak it. He takes great amusement in watching other people lose their minds over this

- speaking of languages, i feel like Toby would be bilingual if not multilingual. He speaks English and German, maybe even Spanish if we're going the multilingual route

- also. Oh my god. The generational difference between BEN "memelord who quotes vines like there's no tomorrow" Drowned and Slenderman is just. I cant stop laughing thinking about it. Any given conversation between these two is just a gamble on who is going to lose it first

- BRVR is kinds Lost Silver's pet but also not really? Like he just kinda goes wherever but Lost Silver mainly takes care of him

- LJ he/it truther

- Me and a friend came up with this which probably explains why it is cracky as fuck but hear me out. Jeff as a makeup artist. He made Slender look like Beyonce once. No one knows how he did it and how he's not dead (the answer, as my friend said, is "no one can hate Beyonce")

- i feel like Toby, BEN, and Jeff would be like. The chaos trio. God knows what will happen when you put the three of then alone in a room together

- i also feel like Brian sunburns really easily.

- Tim is one of those dads that wants to leave in the middle of the night for road trips / holidays to avoid the traffic jams

Favourite fic/series you’ve ever written

It’s hard to pick just one favorite anything, because I’m indecisive like that lol But tbh most things I’ve posted are stories I’m really pleased with (the ones I'm not never see the light of day), so I’ll pick a favorite series and three favorite fics in no particular order:

My favorite series is Second Chances (Desire & Decorum AU!)

I came up with the idea of a Desire & Decorum - contemporary AU! in 2019 and it was inspired by @lorirwritesfanfic series Meant to Be (which is one of my favorite fics ever in the Choices fandom!). I love writing everything in this universe, and all the interactions between Hamid (who is no longer a prince, but a Turkish diplomat), and Elizabeth (the daughter of an Earl and a Brazilian opera singer, who was raised in Rio de Janeiro and moved to London to start a new chapter of her life) are just so fun and amazing to develop. The story has some of my favorite tropes: slow burn, friends-to-lovers, mutual pining (idiots in love) etc.

Favorite fics:

1. Run to you (Desire & Decorum)

It’s a one-shot featuring my OTP Prince Hamid x Lady Elizabeth, and it was inspired by one of Prince Hamid’s lines after meeting MC in chapter 5 (Desire and Decorum Book 1) and it's in Hamid's POV.

2. If I fell (Desire & Decorum AU!)

It’s a one-shot set in my Second Chances universe with my ultimate OTP in a contemporary setting, just being cute and having fun together while jogging at Hyde Park.

3. Heart in a cage (Blades of Light and Shadow)

I absolutely adore writing Tyril Starfury and Arwen (f!Elf!MC). Their interactions are so fun, and in this one has slow burn, flirting, tending to wounds and blushing Tyril.

That one fic/series you poured your heart & soul into

Definitely The Pursuit of Happiness (Desire & Decorum) is the series I poured my heart & soul into.

It’s a Desire & Decorum fanfic, pairing Prince Hamid x Lady Elizabeth and it was my first time ever writing fanfic and the first time writing a fictional story in a very long time, and it was so much fun (and overwhelming and stressful at times), but it allowed me to interact with so many wonderful people in the fandom and their support motivated me to complete the series and encouraged me to keep on writing.

Another one that could be mentioned is a one-shot called Like Poetry (Blades of Light and Shadow)

I really like this one because it portrays a relationship between an elf, who can live centuries, and a human, and it allowed me to explore many subjects regarding mortality and if there's a place for heroes after their quests, and writing in Tyril’s POV was also very special.

One underrated fic/series of yours you’d recommend

I don't know if I could say any fic is really underrated, I don't have that many followers and don't write for the most popular books and characters, but if I did have to pick one, I’d would say it's Is this Love? (Desire & Decorum).

It's mostly a pre-canon/pre-Desire & Decorum Book 1 story, and it follows Elizabeth Thompson in her journey to become Lady Elizabeth of Edgewater. I adored writing the scenes with her mother and specially the friendship with Briar, and it's definitely one I'd recommend.

And I don’t know if I can call it underrated, because it’s a new series and the fandom is very quiet these past months, but the miniseries Safe (Wake the Dead) is one I'd recommend the reading. Troy Hassan is the main character and most chapters and scenes are pre-canon and pre-WTD. It's been so interesting to write a post-apocalyptic world and specially to develop a story though the eyes of a child who will grow up in this New World.

I was just reading your post about them "whiffing" the story and while I agree somewhat? Tbh at least hopefully it's an actual decisive direction they've picked this time. FNAF lore is mostly a mess afaik because Scott scrapped the original 'it was all a dream' ending after fnaf3 bc it was so disliked (reasonably so, imo). so maybe this new era/soft reboot of FNAF will be more coherent long term? Anyone who can stomach the change might have a nice (and eventually, a less confusing) time with it down the line.

LOL i talk so much mess about fnaf that i can't even remember which post that could be.

To be honest... i'm not the person to complain to about the second trilogy of fnaf ruining the franchise because sister location and pizza sim are my favorite games in the series.

Also, i know this is verboten in the fnaf fandom, but i don't actually want a "coherent" story or timeline. I want a SATISFYING one. I think it's the fact that when scott was at the helm, he prioritized rule of cool over being painted into a corner by his own story and had the stones to be like "you know what? The murderous security guard was actually a mad scientist with a secret lab because i want to model bitchin' sci-fi clown androids" that kept me hanging on to the franchise.

There's a lot of, let's be honest, derivatives of the fnaf trends that do coherent lore and consistent stories that just don't have the sauce of fnaf, and they don't really spark fandom brain in me. The fact that the first six fnaf games have an absolute gut punch last call/final act (from phone guy's brittle denial all the way to connection terminated) WORKS. They function as roller coasters, dark rides. When you walk backwards through them, you can see the places where things are propped up with plywood and 2x4s, and i tend to fixate on little flaws and details as much as anyone else, but every time i ride through, i still FEEL it. I still remember why i was captivated.

Security breach sucks because the story had huge bites taken out of it. I can tell you in detail why it's bad but part of it is that the villains are NOT put over within the story. Gregory's main enemy is Vanny, and there's no bossfight with her, no big reveal that the stabby bunbun WAS the security guard (and also the security guard is brusque and mean, not the ally she was clearly intended to be based on promotional material). There IS a boss fight with Burntrap, and Gregory does not know that man from adam. That is the game staring the audience in the eye being like "you like springtrap? We gave you a springtrap!" It does not hit. As bad as i think robogreg is, i understand that it partially comes from a ham-handed desire to fix this dangling thread.

I recognize that steel wool did some serious triage, and i even understand their priorities in making the glamrocks so likable (warming up new/casual fans of the series while, possibly, trusting that lore heads and villain enjoyers would fight over scraps and mostly remain dedicated to the franchise). I think that's why the wider reception of the game is... fine. It's memey and candy coated and came out during a particularly dry season in all the genres it pertained to, had a hot minute of trending fandom, and left a lot of people primed to pop back in to check out the next installment (with a little free dlc to keep the buy-in going). I can't say it isn't smart.

But they put out a broken game that doesn't pay off a single setup in a non-infuriating way, and so i maintain that the story whiffed lol

What do you like to do during the holidays season? Have you done anything holiday-related yet? Now that it's officially December, I will start decorating my home soon. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time, since I have a lot of exams right before christmas! I haven't watched a lot of movies lately, though I always mean to. Aside from OUAT, some of my favourite shows are Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Schitt's Creek, the good place, Jane the Virgin & One day at a time! [2/? - I LIED]

We usually watch whatever is on, but I've seen home alone a lot of times! I'm really looking forward to heading home this holiday season and to having a traditional dinner with my grandparents (My grandfather prepares the main course & he is a great cook). I also love listening to Christmas songs! Do you have any favourties?. As for you gift, my creative talents mostly lie in writing, so I'll be preparing a fic for you! My mom and I decorated the house already and finally finished decorating our tree last night:

I switched my stuffed animals on my headboard in my bedroom to my Christmas/wintry ones too (plus a turkey for Thanksgiving that I haven’t switched yet lol):

My grandma has been watching the Hallmark movies that have been on tv every night since before Thanksgiving and I’ve kind of been vaguely watching along, though with some recent personal circumstances I won’t expand on right now, I’m finding more frustration than enjoyment from most of them for a few reasons, so I tend to end up putting on headphones instead.

I love The Good Place but I’m so behind right now. I’ve been meaning to check out One Day at a Time, it’s on my long list of things I should probably watch at some point (*John Mulaney voice* and then I Didn’t), and I want to give B99 a try but I don’t have a way to watch it at the moment.

A traditional dinner with family sounds awesome! My parents always cook a ham and sides, and my grandparents on my mom’s side always came to our house for the day, but they live with us now (for a year as of November) so they’re already here, which is nice lol. My brother is married now, so he and my sister-in-law come over too. With the things going on, I’m not sure what this Christmas is going to look like, but that’s what we usually do at least.

I’m excited to bake cookies, but my grandfather has diabetes and his blood-sugar has been a little high lately (partly because of the Thanksgiving food, but I think he’s been sneaking candy or chips too), so I’m putting off baking until that’s under control again. He’s all or nothing with sweets, eats too many and has problems, then gets mad when we ask him to hold back a bit and complains as if he can’t have any at all, instead of just having a small amount every so often rather than a ton all at once like we suggest. I’m gonna keep that temptation away for a while, unless I get a long enough time to make some before he comes in the kitchen so I can hide them, but he just knows. lol

Most years, I’m the kind of person to start Christmas songs in the summer or at least October lol. Not so much these past few years, but I still enjoy them in the season. While we decorate, my parents always play Alabama’s Christmas albums first, and then whatever else until we’re done. (This year I chose Peter Hollens’s Christmas album and Jason Manns’s Christmas album featuring Supernatural cast members, and then my grandpa played the Rudolph soundtrack.) I love Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” (the song and the movie), Straight No Chaser’s “The Christmas Can-Can” and “The 12 Days of Christmas,” and tbh I think my favorite version of “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” is the one on the Phineas and Ferb Holiday Favorites album (and everything else on it is great too imo). I also love “Oh Santa” from VeggieTales. I pretty much enjoy most Christmas music though. Do you have any favorites?

I will very gladly receive a fic!! I’m open to pretty much anything, just preferably not smut (or at least not super explicit/detailed smut) unless that’s what you prefer to write, just because I try to keep my blog fairly pg/pg-13 most of the time other than some cursing and I want to be able to reblog whatever you give me. Fluff and angst are both more than welcome though, even also whump to some degree. Canon-divergent, au, anything. Lieutenant Duckling, Captain Duckling, Dark Ones, reversed roles, idk all the variation names, Neverland, Underworld, modern, coffee shop, roommates, neighbors, sci-fi, supernatural, band, parent, super sweet domesticity, total angst-fest, nightmares, torture, whatever. It’s all good. I will happily read whatever you write!
