Well I’m now thinking of two ideas because you said KHR and my brain went feral but the one I was originally thinking of:

Soulmate AU again. Harry has a soul mark he can’t read, that no one around him can read actually, and he has all but given up hope on finding whoever it is because no translation spells work on them (the closest he Ron and Hermione - who were lucky enough to have each other as their soulmates and Harry is so happy for them even if it sometimes aches that they get to have a family and a soul mate and he… doesn’t - are Norse runes but even those don’t match exactly. Hermione thinks it’s a different dialect or possibly the root language but that can’t be right… can it?) but with everything going on at Hogwarts he is more busy just trying to survive rather than try to find who is supposed to be his soulmate.

Then his name comes out of the goblet.

Then he gets cornered in a cramped room with so many angry adults yelling at him and the older students being the only people who are even trying to stand up for him and then someone is grabbing his shoulders too tightly and it hurts and he thinks he hears Uncle Vernon and —

Every piece of glass in the room explodes at the same time as the night outside is lit up in a blinding array of rainbow light.

Before anyone can figure out what the hell is happening two men just appear in the room brandishing weapons and magic making them step back from Harry. One of the men with dark hair and startlingly green eyes moves in from of Harry, speaking low and soft, coaxing him out of his panic with gentle words and which that doesn’t work swirling bits of magic to distract and center the boy. The other, blond with the scent of ozone hanging heavily around him even as a storm kicks up outside, places himself between the two and the rest of the room watching. Protecting.

Harry comes back to bright green eyes and magic that feels like home more than anything else ever has. He comes back to an Asgardian kneeling in front of him with another protecting him. He comes back to his soulmate who felt his need and came running with his brother in tow.

Like its obviously platonic at least until Harry is older but the amount of chaos Loki and Thor would bring to the triwizard tournament would be ✨unmatched✨
