would you be comfortable sharing your bg3 ocs with us? i LOVE hearing and seeing other peoples ocs so much it inspires me to make them too
u always write reader personalities so amazing so ik ur ocs are just as good <3
WAH. YES. THANK U FOR ASKING. a lot of my ocs start out as fun self-inserts and then become... Something else. for bg3 in particular i normally play as my insert so they have the same face HEKJSDKJ. but they are ocs and they look diff in my brain i just dont care to change the face
oh my good GOD this is so long im so sorry. i guess this is my intro post for them now.thank u for asking me.. i love you... humbly presenting my little guys
CW FOR IMPLICATIONS OF INCEST (?) sort of in nyx's story. its complicated!! other than that just canon typical angst + drug use.
i have two main charas i consider more oc than insert. THE FIRST ONE IS MY BELOVED DARLING GIRLTHING SOULIKHA
Tumblr media
goes by soul in camp, mid/late twenties, she/they pronoun haver, true neutral alignment, istj + 5w4
motifs ; black oleander, darkness and shadow, bones but not blood / decay, teals and purples and blues.
close with marisol, lae'zel and wyll. thinks astarion is a little sad and gets annoyed at mystra trying to demand death of gale.
she is a cleric of kelemvor and sacrificial survivor of a myrkul death cult. she escaped nearly dying at the age of 7 bc kelemvor saved her from near death.
she is not from baldurs gate!! she is from the outskirts of omorath but after escaping she lives on the streets.
the second time kelemvor comes to get her (nearly died in an alley) she becomes a cleric and returns to the city. joins the tower of skulls in omorath and does most of her work taking care of the diseased and guiding people in the fugue plane.
a Doomguide and part of a doom clergy.
she is originally darker skinned / tan but turns grey using her powers. when she blushes she becomes her original color lol
she ends up closer to baldurs gate on pilgrimage. she meets marisol (lambs oc) her best friend there.
she is a cleric of kelemvor, the god or judge of death. she tends to wear like a plague doctor sort of uniform and is very attached to a necklace she has that she prays over!! in general she prefers to be covered because she normally is response for helping the diseased as well as the deceased.
always wearing gloves for the same reason ^ special gloves that she has with her even after the kidnapping on the ship.
her personality is very blunt 😭and straightforward but never mean. she is just super direct and a little clueless about social cues... VERY HONEST LOL.
her main story arc is around her parents! like i mentioned she is a cleric of kelemvor but she spent her childhood in a death cult. in act one she hears rumor of a tiefling couple who worshipped myrkul being seen kidnapped on the towers to moonrise. in act two, her major scene, you have the choice on whether or not to kill or rescue her parents.
soulikha as a character puts her duty as a cleric above all else, even herself. she never expresses her feelings, never complains, just does as she believes is of expected to her. it gives her identity. up until this point, it's very rare to see her break down. this is the first scene where she makes a decision for herself
she also believes part of her job is assuring the people suffering die with the dignity and honor they deserve. part of this is because of her upbringing.
she also believes admantly in people dying when they are supposed to. as a cleric of kelemvor with particular favor of her god, she can hear whispers and regrets of death. the shadowfell lands are hard on her.
her main romance partner is karlach
her main romance with karlach has to do with touch and intimacy.
soulikha normally has her face covered and her body so if she were an origin and romance companion chara they'd be surrounding them but in her story she is dating karlach
karlach is soulikhas first love. they are tragic to me. soulikha is constantly telling karlach it's not her time and they often talk about death. she has a line to karlach:
"i will be there. when your soul burns brightest in the fugue plane, i will lead you. till the end of your life and in mine. my hand will find you. you will know its me."
she is shorter than karlach a bit. their whole romance is soulikha saying over and over that she knows karlach is bound to die, and comforting her through that.
but after the actual end of the game, soulikha cries for the very first time and begs karlach to live. it's the first time she ever says the words "i want you to live.) very heartbreaking
their ending is opening. ultimately soulikha wants to stay with karlach. they promise each other to live. the ending varies depending on other stuff but YEAH.
her bad ending is letting herself become myrkuls new chosen so karlach can have her heart back. fucking AWFUL ending gkdjsd theyre so sad.
OKAY. NEXT. IS MY OC NYX SORRY ABOUT THIS MOUTAIN OF TEXT.
Tumblr media
this is nyx! no last name, he/him pronouns preferred, any fine. neutral evil allignment, late twenties. entp + 7w8
close with astarion + minthara. fond of jaehira. thinks wyll is fun and likes karlach. neutral to shadowheart and halsin.
nyx is not from baldurs gate either, explicitly from the city of calimshan, in manshaka. son of a common whore, born in a pleasure house.
tiefling with the blood graz'zt. this is relevant later. fdkjsdk.
learns music from the musicians in the pleasure house. naturally gifted. starts composing his own music at ten when one of this mothers regular customers gifts him a cli' lyre, enchanted with magic
has a complicated relationship with his mother. his mother is a prostitute but also very addicted to drugs. she wasn't motherly and often made advances on him when he grew up into puberty. his only family. when she was coming down the high, he would play her music to fall asleep.
practiced a lot on his own, other musicians taught him other instruments. very talented. most of his music and songs were about his one true love, roxana
roxana was another child of the house. they grew up together. she wasn't particularly talented but she was soft, kind, and beautiful. they both knew she would end up staying in the house, but nyx did try to protect her from customers when they were both underage.
roxana is full blooded human. she has a tattoo of roses down her spine that nyx dedicated one of his songs too and got matching trellis tattoos for. his most popular song.
his composition reached far and wide and he was offered many times to leave the pleasure house to perform. but he loved roxana and she often begged to say with him - so he never went. for her he'd do pretty much anything.
spent most of their lives together as lovers. first kiss at 13, lost their virginity to each other at 16/17, when they are in their early 20's nyx saves up to propose.
nyx is betrayed by roxana, though nyx by default does not care if Rrxana were to take lovers.
because of nyx’s upbringing and roxana’s work, all nyx had ever asked Roxana for was to keep no secrets between them
(growing up, roxana was naturally meek and often was in dangerous situations. Both because of this and because of his mothers commentary after she’d invited him for sex (“let’s keep this a secret between us,”). nyx had asked Roxana to never keep things from him, if she could.)
roxana ultimately chooses another man over nyx, one she’d kept a secret. she’d told nyx that she couldn’t be with him anymore. That she wanted more from life, and that she would go with her new lover to see greater sights.
“I loved her. Beautiful like a rosebed. I was a fool, of course. Only a fool forgets that the first rule to pick roses is dethorning them, lest they make you bleed.”
nyx sets off for college the same night. packs his belongings, says by to the pleasure house. his mother kisses on the cheek. he doesn't tell roxana about this
after that he commits to a life of debauchery at the college of swords. many flings and makes more music but never gets tied down despite peoples offers and efforts.
very charismatic in general and good at behaving in slimy and manipulative ways fhfksd. acts in self-interest.
very weak to soft and gentle women (hung up on his ex.... rip)
never ever mentions roxana by name even as an origin character. a lot of his story is about getting him to open up. he has a confrontation with his ex in act 3. his story is similar to astarion
in act one he hears rumor of a beautiful prostitute in the city who works the cities leaders and follows this. his main decision is meeting roxana again and deciding whether or not to forgive or save her
(you learn through the course of his story that roxana was never particularly good or honest to him, though it's not easy to figure out. the best ending to for him to save her but not take her back, the worst is dying for he)
his primary love interest is lae'zel !!
they have a silly and funny relationship at first. it starts as a sex thing but their tent is next to each other. lae'zel likes calling him a jester but loves his voice too.
he likes that she's very different from the women he dates. she's very harsh towards him but he also trusts she would never lie to him. he comforts her through the situation with vlaaktih and she in his story helps him realize that not everyone is out to betray him. he wants to love her and does.
he is SO affectionate towards her act three. she is constantly pissed she has romantic feelings for local emo clown
lae'zel having no propensity for manipulation and also being very honest is really refreshing for nyx. they have a minor age gap fdkfskjd
at the end of the story - nyx encourages lae'zel to travel and save their people. he makes a life for them in the city and writes hundreds of songs about her in her absence. they raise a gith child together
I HAVE MORE TO SAY BUT THIS IS PAINFULLY LONG. SHOWS YOU THIS ANDRUNS AWAY. PLEASE ASK ME QUESITONS IF U LIKE I LOVE ANSWERING Q'S FOR THEM. THANK U

I've been playing Owlcat's adaptation of Pathfinder: Kingmaker and have some thoughts
There's a choices they made when designing their game that I think are really interesting from a design perspective, even if I don't fully understand or even agree with them in all cases, but they are useful intellectual exercises. Perhaps the most interesting to me is how they handle Neutral alignments.
I'm going to assume most people finding this know about the 3x3 Alignment grid used in Dungeons and Dragons and other games descended from it, including the 1e version of Pathfinder that the video game is based on. The classic Lawful vs Chaotic and Good vs Evil. Countless gallons of ink and terabytes of text have been spilled over this very basic system, but it's usually the ends of those axes that get the attention. Neutral rarely gets as much detail or analysis about it compared to Good/Evil/Chaos/Law, and it's usually in one of three modes. If I had to come up with names or descriptors for them, I'd go with something like Unaligned, Not Opted In, and Balance, and versions of these exist for both axes. Unaligned is when these opposing forces don't register for you at all, usually due to a lack of cognitive capability. Simple constructs, plants, and animals often fall in the Unaligned category, and I've heard this approach to Neutral basically described as "Neutral Hungry" - what does a bear think about moral debates? It doesn't, it only cares about whether it's hungry or not. Most people don't expect complex philosophical thinking out of a pitcher plant. Not Opted In is when a person has enough cognitive capacity that they could make principled decisions regarding the two axes, but for whatever reason simply don't or haven't. Most people aren't saints or devils, paragons or chameleons. They're just... normal. They're not concerned with cosmic struggles for Freedom versus Order, or pledged to uphold the tenets of Kindness or the debasements of Sin. They just kinda go about doing their thing without needing a big picture. When they make decisions, alignment isn't their primary factor - other things like practicality, culture, needs, and other mundane forces are more important to them. Balance is when a person does have cognitive capacity to recognize these dynamics, and intentionally chooses none of them. This is the classic Druid alignment, the middle way between the extremes. It is a choice and a firm principle, but not in a Lawful or Chaotic way, but in a way that is simultaneously both and neither.
There are certain universal dialogue options in Kingmaker that are tagged with alignments. Any character can choose those options, and doing so will shift your alignment meter towards that alignment very slightly. Then there are some that are tagged with "Requires Good/Evil/Law/Chaos/Neutral" - for those ones, only characters who have that alignment can select it, and also gives a bump towards that alignment. Pretty straightforward, and a fairly representative way to handle these systems in a rigid video game. The universal Neutral options (whether that's True Neutral, Neutral Good, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Neutral, or Lawful Neutral) tend to be somewhere around Unaligned or Not Opted In. Where things get interesting is when we look at the "Requires Neutral" options - all the examples I can think of are written intentionally from a Balance perspective. They come up when two independent groups or forces are in opposition, and these options allow you to either choose no side, or choose BOTH sides as a mediator. And when you choose those options, there truly is an opportunity for reconciliation that prevents otherwise inevitable division and even bloodshed. If you asked me out of the blue "Hey, where on the alignment grid do you find brokering a peace agreement between two opposed factions that stops a civil war?" I'd probably guess either Good or Lawful. Owlcat Games says, "No, that's True Neutral." And the opposing forces don't need to be different halves of an alignment axis - there's a section early on where the only way to not take a side between two Lawful Evil groups and prevent escalation to full-blown conflict is to take an option that Requires Neutral. There's scenarios later that let you act a mediator between two very different people, and two opposed nations, and if you want to truly be able to bring both sides to the table in those scenarios, you have to be Neutral. Even if your intended outcomes are things like "Foster understanding" or "Avert a civil war," things I would categorize as Good, the game makes them Neutral. My current playthrough is mostly Chaotic Good, and I've been pretty satisfied with those options. But when there is deep, deep opposition between two groups in the Stolen Lands, Good won't always bridge a gap between them, but Neutral can. This makes Neutral options an actual Choice instead of just the thing you pick when there's not a Good/Lawful/Chaotic/Evil option - it is a principled position on its own, just as nuanced and effective as the extremes of the chart, and not just the weird ugly grey color in the middle of the alignment chart, and I think that's neat. That's different than the way I thought about it before, and that's cool to analyze.

READ ME.
If you would like to RP, please DM me first.
My name is Zira. I am an inucbus from Phlegethos, the fourth layer of the Nine Hells, child of a god, with a long past that I prefer to keep shrouded in mystery. The people and creatures I lie with don't need to know all the sordid details, only how good I can make them feel. As a prince, I enjoy the finer things in life, and I am loathe to settle for less. I can be found in my mountain temple in the summer, and my palace in the city in the winter. Those that come to me usually do so seeking carnal pleasure, and I rarely turn anyone away. Why would I, when their bliss sustains me?
Ko-Fi If you like my blog, consider donating so that I can keep writing.
There are some things you should know if you plan on sticking around. First and foremost, this is an adult blog. That means no minors. If you're not 18 years of age or older, you are not welcome here.
Second, this palace hosts pleasures of all kinds. If you don't like something I post, move on. Don't make a big deal out of it. Some of the things you'll find on this blog include: Breeding, knotting, terato, oversized cocks, cum inflation, bladder desperation, pissing in a partner, primal play, pet play, knife play, fucking wounds, temperature play (especially ice), bondage, choking a partner, ovi, mpreg, pregnancy, eggpreg, edging, overstim, orgasm denial, bathroom denial, double penetration, tentacles, belly or throat bulge, clothed erections, grinding/dry humping, royalty, rut/heat, marking, biting, blood play, noncon (to a degree), cnc, somno, hypnotism, mind breaking, corruption, corruption of holy figures, cervix fucking, and many more.
Do not ask me to tag something that is on this list with a trigger warning. If these things trigger you, then this is not the place for you.
Some of the things you won't find on this blog are: Scat, incest, snuff, beating, feet, vomit, farting, guns, drugs, feederism.
As far as terms that I use: Cunt, cock, dick, ass, member, manhood, girth, length, entrance, walls, slick, cum, seed, clit, g-spot, prostate, intestines, insides, cervix, womb, uterus, balls, testes, testicles.
And terms I absolutely hate: Cunny, pussy, boy cock, t cock, boy pussy, boy cunt, girl cock, bussy, cream, boy cream.
As an incubus, it is my desire and my great pleasure to pull orgasm after orgasm out of you. I feed on your ecstasy, and you get to experience true bliss in return. It seems like a win-win to me. I prefer to dom, but I'll happily switch if it means I get to taste your pleasure. So come, make yourself at home, and don't be shy. I won't bite unless you ask me to.

24. Do you know their MBTI type?
25. What is their biggest flaw?
29. How would they describe their own personality?
33. What is their biggest fear? How would they react to having to face it?
39. What does their happily ever after look like?
41. What does their laugh sound like? Do they snort when they laugh? How often do they laugh?
71. How are they with children? Do they have any? Do they want any?
84. Which deadly sin do they represent best?
89. What is their D&D alignment?
believe me when i say i struggled not picking more than 10 questions >:3
24. ESFJ
25. In terms of with other people (idk how to describe it), is she has a hard time saying no, leading her to stress herself with the amount of stuff she agreed to help with ( her being the MC and all). However, in terms of duelling, it’s too many things happening in one go-overwhelming.
29. She’d say it’s confident and kind and really emotional
33. She has a fear of people seeing her in a negative light or judging her. When people confront her about it, she bursts into tears, covers her ears and curls up so she looks as small as possible. I have no idea how this will translate into a boggart.
39. Having a family and a job as a magizoologist
41. High pitched, she doesn’t snort but she breathes a lot in between laughs. I don’t know if “the normal amount of times” is considered an answer 💀
71. She’s pretty good with children, she likes to play with them, can handle them when they cry and kids usually feel comfortable around her. She also speaks to them in that higher voice people do with kids ( or at least I do). Yes she wants kids
84. ( Side note: omg some others were talking about this in the discord server and I was too scared at the time to chime in). This is hard. Estelle would probably be pride because she has a lot of confidence in her abilities. This makes her take in a lot of things at once, leading her to get upset and get violent when she realises she’s not good enough. ( The article I read said that pride is the root of all the sins, I think this would link with wrath so that’s cool ig)
89. Neutral good because she does what is necessary, even if it means getting in trouble. (Note: I don’t know much about character alignments, but personally, I think I’m a chaotic neutral. Also, I’m not well versed in DnD but I really wanna make an DnD au of Estelle)
Thanks Evelynnn >:D

With all hints we got post-SotO, I'm actually excited for what comes next! ⚠️ BIG SPOILERS below.
The Eparch/demons connection to the Mursaat/Eye of Janthir will save the lore to me in many levels. Reddit discussion for those curious!
I think SotO started really well. Just like IBS started well. It was solid and interesting... I don't know why Anet rush things in the middle for a while now and make a lot of moments and connections sound forced and random... But eh, I guess that's their normal. 😅
I have not played the new fractal yet! But I will! I finished the chapter before going to bed, so I was eepy.
Cons of SotO to me:
What was that??? /jk
The story was extremely fast-paced. The writing seemed rushed and I felt like the Commander was just an asset rather than the protagonist—I know many people like this sort of thing, but I really don't enjoy feeling like an NPC... I'm already an NPC in real life! 😂
We trusted Peitha too fast, etc, etc. I guess there are a billion posts about this on tumblr... It's nice to know I'm not alone haha.
I didn't like how they forced the relationship between Peitha and "her Wayfinder". Not everyone was into it... I wish I had an option to at least complain to her 😅. I still liked her character for other reasons and I plan to replay SotO paying more attention to details. I wish she turned out evil and manipulative, not gonna lie haha.
A lot of unexplained things. I wish the Astral Ward at least became a neutral/sketchy group rather than a "good" group. I'd love some drama between them and the Pact. Anet won't do it, but I can dream. I'd like the Astral Ward a lot more if they were acknowledged like the little freaks they are.
Zojja's character murder. I hope she has a good time in her trips through the Mists. Her memory seemed alright in the end??
They're really made the 'demons and wizards are now friends' ending. I mean, quite expected but I giggled still. At least none randomly died.
Pros of SotO to me:
The Wizard Vault was my favorite update. And I guess many people are working towards the PvE legendary armor, so good point too.
Inner Nayos and the Wizard Tower are cool maps.
I really liked the weapon updates. Sad it probably means no more new specs, but it's alright.
We got a few interesting characters: Cerus, Peitha, Isgarren, Dagda, Lyr, Mabon, Galrath, Arina, Frode, [the cute skritt whose name I can't type] and Glade! They're cool! And some others!
By the end of it, I was pretty satisfied how Isgarren was a solid character. I do enjoy some character consistency and it makes me like the character more, no matter their alignment or morals. (He's so fucked up.)
Eparch, although showing up quite little, didn't feel short-lived to me. I feel like his character had meaning and all the times he spoke, I was curious about him and what he meant. He died leaving that twitch-behind-my-ear. I wish we knew more about him... (Also, I really liked the visuals of Eparch's, now Peitha's, throne room.)
The hints for the next expansion/updates are quite interesting to me. I'm a big fan of Mursaat lore and when I saw the eye I literally GASPED. This is exciting news! I truly hope we get a good-written villain.
I feel like SotO would have worked more as a Living World. Something to make a connection between EoD and what really comes next.... It feels like a LW in every way.
It is my least favorite expansion. But it's there.

hi guys!! i'm liv and this is my cocky, shittalking tennis queen, cha soeun! ‪v v v excited to write with everyone (but also am an absolute noob at tennis. i literally know nothing about it. i had to chatgpt so many things so i apologize if anything is not the most accurate!!!) but anyways, u can find her condensed intro below - apologies if her characterization is still a little bit of a WIP because i tend to build my character as i plot & write, but anyways, please hit like if you'd like to plot!! i'm also good with dc or ims!
key info
cha soeun, twenty four (jan 11 2000)  national team tennis player capricorn sun, capricorn moon, aries rising entj
personality
label: the spitfire, the heel alignment: lawful evil positive: ambitious, undeviating, tactical, confident, resilient, ebullient negative: cocky, irreverent, brash, volatile, impatient, fiery neutral: unapologetic inspirations: heavily inspired by novak djokovic. other inspirations include succession’s shiv roy, gossip girl’s blair waldorf, the seven husbands of evelyn hugo’s evelyn hugo
career
turned professional at 15
rose to prominence at 16 after defeating the world ranked 50 and made it to the finals of the miami open where she ultimately lost (and threw somewhat of a fit. she broke her racquet and smashed a ball into the crowd. you can watch it on youtube. probably included in one of her many ‘cha soeun's worst behaviours’ videos) - earned praise for her resilience, but also got shit on a lot for how “unprofessional” she acted
played tournaments regularly following that but failed to win any major titles, although she did walk away with a few runner-up medals & won some smaller competitons
was still enough to get her called up to the national team at 18 (though not without a warning to get her shit together. she behaved for like three matches)
won her first major tournament, australia open at 21
hit her career best at 23, winning 3 grand slams in a year
off the court, she has been scrutinzed a lot for her lack of sportsmanship and irreverent attitude to most things. very polarizing to the public; some of the criticism is valid, but others not so much
the kind to chat shit before a game to mess with her opponent’s head. the kind to play with a demoralizing style, forcing opponents to play more impatiently, hit harder and take more risks. will pull out of a tournament if she thinks she will lose (her most infamous excuse was having a sore throat. was spotted at a karaoke bar the next day - she was very heavily criticized for this, and even soeun admits it was shitty of her to do that)
undeniable that she’s very talented and very hardworking, considered one of asia’s top tennis players but she just has a horrible attitude that makes it hard for some people to support her
background
wont add much but crazy, uber competitive family. father is ceo of a fintech company, mother is a healthcare cfo (i’m thinking her dad is some cocky tech bro who you love to hate. el*n musk dupe??)
basically raised their kids on steroids - find something you’re good at and stick with it. be the best at it. anything less than #1 is not accepted
soeun got lucky at five and realized that she liked tennis! and she was pretty fucking good at it.
her younger sibling was not as fortunate and spent their whole lives trying to find something they were good at and ultimately failing. soeun holds them as a reminder of why she needs to always keep trying and always be the best because there's no way she'll let herself end up like her younger sibling.
anyways yeah she just kept training and playing tennis. signed away her childhood but the fame and glory and attention was always more fun anyways
trivia
shes messy but it’s not like she actively tries to be? when you’re raised in a crazy competitive family where shit talk is the normal way of life.. it’s just how you live life
she’s very much an entertainer. invited to a few variety shows, which she excels at because she’s just loud and bright and funny (but she’s not allowed to go on anything live. she’s a tad too unpredictable for that)
genuinely believes in herself. the cockiness isn’t an act, she is genuinely and truly believes that she is the greatest and she can do anything. she doesn’t think that she deserves all the gold just because she's cha soeun - but because she knows that she’s talented and she works her ass off.
on that note, she is very, very, very dedicated to her sport. incredibly hard worker. will stay till dawn. will practice till her fingers are calloused and bloody!!
potential plots
first love! shes bi so i would love something where your muse has trained with her all their lives and you broke up but now you’re friends and she’s forcing herself to laugh around you and everything thinks it’s SO cool that exes can be friends but truth is it hurts!!! alot!!!
enemies!! someone who thinks soeun should shut the fuck up or that she’s ruining the beautiful sport of tennis or the olympics in general
besties <3 or unlikely friends!!! a soft spoken sweet person to match soeun’s fiery nastiness
enemies to fwbs… on the contrary, two very similar hot-heads! always at each other’s throat, sexual tension, you know the likes
pr friendship. she’s lowkey a pr mess and her team wants to “clean her image up” before the olympics so they pair you two together! idk they can end up being friends or beefing whatever works
the only other person who stays as late as she does. doesn’t have to be a fellow tennis player but someone who understands the #grind. sharing late night protein shakes after practicing till 3am vibes??
other tennis players!!
we can brainstorm!! i’m just vomiting cause as everything with life, i have procrastinated writing this intro until the very last minute! hehe

1, 3, 7, and 22 for Emmett and Rosu!! <3
1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?
Emmett would love to forget the dull haze he was in after his childhood best friend was murdered. Imagine, you’re twelve and goofing off as you sneak into the fairgrounds, and while getting lost in a corn maze, you’re both dragged into a hellish pocket dimension where only one of you returns alive. Now, you’re the weird local kid related to a strange disappearance and you don’t know how to tell people that it was monsters.
On the flip side, Rosu would love to forget how badly he fumbled telling his high school girlfriend that A. he’s not human and B. Their town resides in a Bridgewater Triangle. Thanks to his poor communication, Marisol slid him a copy of Twilight for clarification.
3 . What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?
Rosu has the mentality of My way is the only correct choice. This is my moral high ground and I don’t care what the personal cost is.
Emmett lets his insecurities get the best of him, causing him to miss out on things like FRIENDSHIP and BEING SOCIAL. He is a clenched fist of repressed emotions.
7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
Emmett is a relatively new OC compared to others. The core of him has stayed the same since conception: a character that stays human, acts as the moral center of the cast, and is incredibly tired and Jewish. The cerebral palsy is the only new addition because I want more disability rep in the genre!
With Rosu, I like playing with the sliding scale of his selfishness. How much of his humanity is he willing to sacrifice, and because of that, how does he embrace (and detest) his growing vampirism. This is a character who wants to live but knows what the consequences are.
22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Emmett was thrown headfirst into knowing that gods and monsters are real. After avenging his friend’s murder, he struggles to figure out what he should do next, but his personal code of I must help those who feel powerless remains at the center. He’s lawful good.
Rosu is a slippery bastard and has also killed people. He understands that the normal laws of justice don’t apply to the supernatural, and that tough calls have to be made. (ex: He’s on Team Murder for complex cases while Emmett is Team There’s a Third Option We Have to Try.) Growing up with a witch for a mother, he knows the old rules and likes to find ways to twist them to his advantage – even as these prohibitions are placed on him the more powerful he becomes. He skirts between chaotic neutral and chaotic good.

Been on a Baldur's Gate 3 brainrot, so I thought I'd share my Tav and Durge.
First up: Tav aka Is'lei - she/her, wood elf, Circle of the Spores Druid, Outlander Background
Tumblr media
So I've played Is'lei in other D&D games, and normally she's Eladrin, but since that's not an option in BG3, she's wood elf instead. She's the very definition of a hippie druid, with a scary knowledge of all of the ways plants can kill people, and while wise and knowledgeable in many ways, she's spent almost no time around people and is sorely lacking in social skills. Freedom and free will is her creed, with an alignment thats true neutral trending towards chaotic good. Is'lei has very little desire for power or even material possessions, she mostly just wants to do her part to keep a harmonious balance in the natural world and enjoy it's wonders. Illithids, being aberrations, are ananthema to her and she refuses using any of their powers, especially the mind-manipulating ones. Despite her lack of people skills, or maybe because of it with these weirdos, she gets along well enough with most of her party members, although she and Astarion have diametrically opposed world views and she's constantly annoyed that Gale has a tendency to treat druidic magic as lesser or not real. Is in a polycule with Shadowheart and Halsin, and their homebase is in the former Shadow-cursed lands and filled with flowers and animals.
Durge - aka Rhapsody - she/her, Mephistopheles Tiefling, College of Lore Bard
Tumblr media
Rhapsody is not the name she was born with, but is the virtue name she took on; it's meaning is one of strong emotion, exuberance, and ecstasies and it speaks to her musical training, her character, and especially her ambition. She's never wanted to be forgotten or dismissed - she'd rather evoke strong negative emotions in people than indifference. Post tadpole-insertion, however, she's mostly forgotten the dark paths her ambition led her down and thinks that she's capable of being remembered as a hero saving the world. She's just... not great at it. Her moral compass is quirked more westerly than true north. She has very few qualms about getting her hands dirty or using her silver tongue to get her way and definitely trends more towards chaotic neutral. After all, her impulses keep telling her things like 'roast dwarf is delicious' and when compared to that, a little theft and a lot of grifting don't seem all that bad. But beyond all that, when things get too weird and rough, she turns to music, every time. It's the only positive thing about herself that she remembers and she takes great pride in it and uses it to ground herself and her party. She gets along well with most of them, and is inclined to encourage their more ambitious goals and dreams. Become a god? Sure, why not? She's also a bit of a flirt, and enjoys talking to Astarion a lot for that reason, but it's very shallow. For something deeper, there's something about Wyll's heroic, noble nature that draws her to him.

What Myers-Briggs Personality Type do you think Artemis is? What about the rest of the cast?
[[ Hey there, sorry for taking a while to answer this, I have been thinking about it off and on but then kept forgetting to actually post a response. XD;;
I'm afraid that my answer's probably going to be disappointing. I'm not a fan of the Myers-Brigg categorizations because I feel that they oversimplify personalities, and the classification of people and characters into those categories enforces constraints that ultimately wrongs the individual being characterized. Granted, this isn't anywhere near as much of an issue for fictional characters as it is for real people, and it's also the case that some characters don't even have enough dimension to fill all 4 of the Myers-Brigg categories (*cough* Wulfgar *cough* >_>), but I'm just not into thinking in terms of that framework. 😅
That does bring to mind the D&D alignment chart, which I do believe in (for fictional characters), so it might seem strange that I'm ok with something that has 9 classifications but that I don't like something that has 16. I think the reason for this is that unlike personality, alignment is more of a guideline for behavior and beliefs rather than something more intrinsic. Alignment is also a lot more mutable than personality. In addition, alignment has the ability to add on the “tendency” clause, for instance, Artemis in the current canon is something like lawful neutral with good tendencies. I suppose you could do tendencies with Myers-Brigg too, but I think it probably starts bordering on unqualified psychoanalysis if you’re saying someone is INTJ with ESFP tendencies (as an extreme example).
As far as Artemis’ personality is concerned, to touch on one element, I think most would tend to read him as introverted, but he could very well be extroverted as well but so jaded about society that he doesn’t enjoy human interaction because most of the candidates for interaction are stupid, dull, or some combination of both. This wouldn’t stop him from becoming enervated from the lack of social interaction, but that isn’t something we see in the books. To be fair however, we also don’t see him recuperating from being by himself, which is an indicator of being an introvert; there are scenes like him being comforted by playing Idalia’s Flute on his own, but that’s more due to the magic of the item. I do personally believe that he is introverted though as he does seem to have a tendency to seek out his solitude and inherently preferring that to the company of others, however I could see a believable case made for him being an extrovert who’s worn out on other people. After all, he is ~158 years old by the current timeline, which is more than twice how long a normal human would expect to live in the Realms. ]]

pathfinder is doing a remaster that- among many other things- removes alignment as a concept. D&D has de-emphasized alignment as well (though i'm not sure if they're planning to either phase it out entirely or replace it with some other system).
i understand the concerns about alignment in TTRPGs, i have read the arguments about them, and i agree that some of the bundled concepts- the inherent alignment of living beings, as an example- are Problematic(tm) and something that should be addressed. at the same time, i'm not entirely sure that whatever problems raised by alignment are fixed by just sweeping it under the rug entirely. i do think that a meaningful part of TTRPGs- specifically, the opportunity to put yourself in the mindset of someone who is different from you, who thinks differently from you, who has different values from you- is made more inaccessible with alignment's removal. i would be a lot more keen on the idea of alignment abolishment if there was an alternative method of considering these things being proposed, but so far i think most people want to just sort of remove it as a consideration altogether. and in the absence of such a system, the new alignment system is "everybody is just a normal person :)" which feels like far too simplistic a take for any story where moral contrast is a meaningful factor in whatever conflict is going on. i guess that works for smaller, personal stories, but against the cosmic backdrop that these games usually play out over? i'm not so sure.
i'm genuinely concerned that a lot of gamers think that morality is some neutral idea, that what makes a good action good can just be assumed to map to a common sense of values, rather than something that can be, and often is purposefully shaped. at the very least, this encourages lazily written characters whose motivations are inconsistent or neglected; at the very worst it can blind people to the necessary work of thinking about how one's values are not an inherently neutral thing, not a default state of being, but a product of circumstance and effort.
(obviously there's a lot that influences morality beyond paper 'n dice games and the rules put down in some book with a wizard on the cover. however, i don't trust anyone who thinks media cannot influence the people who ingest it, and TTRPGs count as much as anything else.)

I'm now healthy enough to pester you about your ocs! Yay for me. So I choose... Question 1, 7, 15 and 17. I'll let you choose which oc to talk about. It's a free card "talk about any oc that makes you happy to think about". Hope you're having a good day and if not, hugs and nuzzles (from my cat) to you.
I am glad that youre doing, pumpkin!
Ima do my twc mcs bc ima do the twc exchange~
1] Do they have any crafting hobbies?
Andy: He gardens and can do lawn maintnance, can do fair art with them bushes.
Pierre: Does book binding and cover repair.
Kendis: Does pottery. But they also like party ogranizing so they can make/letter basic cards. They don't do as much anymore but they scrapbook.
They all, including Val and Kai, know how to sew [to various degrees], as a life skill.
7] Do they have any unusual fears?
Define "unusual". Kendis and Andy both have a fear of loss; mainly via death. Val and Kendis both have a fear of -- I guess not being good enough. Mainly the closer you get the less you will like what you see. Val does have a sorta fear of falling short of Rook/ruining his legacy and, of course, abandonment. Kendis a -- sorta fear of imperfection; they hold themselves to unfair standards, in a sense, and even tend to lean in seeing themselves as inherently a bad person.
The other two are more normal/better at self regulating. I mean Pierre's past mistakes do weigh and he could lean into Kendis' issues territory but he is better at working with who he is now [and also doesn't think he's prone to evil so --]
15] What kind of sense of humor do they have? Or do they have one at all?
I am SO bad at this. qwerwaw drawing differences on characters humor. BUT:
Andy: LOVES. PUNS. Which may seem unexpected, but word play is his gig, so.
Pierre: Isn't against the puns but actually has a low-key mischeviousness to his humor. A sorta soft teasing. This is why I picture him and Felix vibing. He actually thinks Felix is very funny -- maybe a bit much but he thinks his boyfriend is so hilarious [sorry Ava].
Kai: Dry.
Val: Sarcastic. Very little shit.
Kendis: Teasing. Kendis loves to poke. I see her as like the jokey, punch you on the shoulder humor sort. Kendis has sibling energy humor even as an only child. [Sardonic tho when she's feeling Mean].
17] How easily would they be convinced to do something that goes against their morals?
Define "morals". JKJK.
Um, it would actually be hard for all of them except - seemingly - for Kendis and Kai. I say this, because Kai's morals are at times governed by what he feels is most logical. And Kendis' are usually - this may surprise - based on the people around them [ie the people they value and trust the most]. However, this is where the seeming comes it, at the end of the day what Kendis values MOST is themselves and said loved ones. So while when push comes to shove it may SEEM she's wibble wobbling, she isn't.
I've a'ways said that if Kendis was born/raised in a bad environment then that is where their morals would align -- the ONLY exception is, I've never had a Kendis who wasn't suckered in by the underdog.
For fun:
Andy: True Neutral.
Kai: Lawful Neutral.
Kendis: Chaotic Neutral with good tendencies [tho fun fact: og Kendis tends to be chaotic good with neutral tendencies.]
Pierre: Lawful Good.
Val: Neutral Good.

some ??hot?? takes: innocent sin feels more "contemporary" than persona 5 in terms of story. all this wild shit happening simultaneously just feels like looking at the news.
this one probably isn't a hot take, but persona games need to bring back character theme songs. 1) it owns, 2) it might prevent the p4/p5 problem of having Too Many Guys so they barely get the spotlight.
oh persona should stop dripfeeding party members. just introduce them all early and then give them arcs throughout the game. also let social links hook in.
thinking any of nocturne's reason endings are good is really silly. they all suck and are narratively unsatisfying, and all of the reasons are abhorrent. this makes sense for the game but i can't imagine someone thinking any of those endings are the best.
manikins should've been able to get a reason. the demifiend can already fuck with creation by restoring the old world / exploding the universe, he should've been able to force through the manikin reason.
yeah i can see what you mean. actually there are several different points in here let me respond to all of them
i mean, true, but p5 is hilariously modern, they literally use iphones to go to the demon dimension, and forum posts are your sidequests. i get thats not your point though, and it speaks to p2's longevity that its themes are still able to be relevant today. honestly, if p2 was made today, itd work even better with the misinformation age and the rumours theme. this is a tangent, but ive always thought digital devil saga is the most modern relevant smt and it takes its themes to the logical end thats perfectly fitting for the quote unquote new generation of smt, if it was released today it would hit exactly the same. i honestly think if smt was a chronological series with a clear start and end, the dds duology would be a perfect end to wrap up all the themes of the entire series. (that's why i wont rec it to newcomers to smt, but if youve played others and havent played it, you absolutely have to)
true! i mean i dont have any particular takes about theme songs but i think its something id like to see come back for sure.
to an extent yeah. i think p3 works so well because you already have a lot of the party members from the start who are all intertwined with each other and the lore of the story. persona has always worked best with a small cast but p3 works because all of the cast is relevant but they also dont try to act like they all get along perfectly. like, i dont think mitsuru talks to junpei as a friend. and thats normal. it helps make p3 more serious and not just goofy guys on an adventure, if that makes sense. but from a game balancing perspective, kinda tough to make that work lol. i think every party based rpg works like that, but it wouldnt be unreasonable to introduce characters early and then just not let you use them yet sort of like what p3 did with akihiko's broken arm, not being able to use mitsuru until you got another navigator, etc.
yeah, i mean, that's what smt is about. it's about choosing between bad and worse options. law and chaos is no better, really. well...actually no i would argue they are better but thats beside the point. i think i need to say for the record me saying i'm law aligned is a joke and i don't actually believe in anything that law believes, but, hopefully my followers have reading comprehension and can tell that from my blog.
true, but like i was saying before, the point of smt is choosing between bad and worse options, and having one clear good option defeats that purpose. but then again, neutral endings have been a thing in smt forever as the Objectively Good Option so, i guess it doesn't matter. yeah, i agree in-universe lore it would make sense though

Midnight Plays Azure Gleam: Prologue & Chapter 1
I'm playing on Normal difficulty. I picked both female Byleth and female Shez; I'll try to use neutral pronouns for them both, but it's highly likely I'll slip.
The opening cutscene is awesome! I love seeing Rhea/Seiros being badass. And the Saints are there, including Indech and Macuil! Pity we don't get to see Seteth and Flayn in their dragon forms, but I like the confirmation that they dyed their hair (poorly) too.
Wait...Rhea just morphed into the Immaculate One in front of everyone. Are we supposed to believe none of the other soldiers noticed that?
Assuming that cutscene was Shez's dream, this is exactly how 3H starts. I appreciate the symmetry.
Aaaand right into battle. And I immediately have no idea what I'm doing aside from mashing buttons, lol.
...Except there's a tutorial window popping up every two seconds. I love it when games just relentlessly shove information into my face, breaking up any flow I might be starting to find. /s
Byleth! I love their intro/music. Really badass, as is watching them fight. This cutscene makes it obvious why the house leaders were so enamored with their skills. It's also great hearing them actually speak. I always liked female Byleth's voice; it's stoic, yes but the cadence of it is almost...soothing?
Super mode activate! And it barely matters because hopeless boss fight. Saw that coming. Byleth hits like a freight train.
Calling it now; Arval is evil/aligned with the Agarthans. I'm sure a million other people have made that same guess. It's just way, way too obvious.
If Shez is a discount Byleth, Arval is the dollar bin Sothis. All of the snark with way more condescension and absolutely none of the warmth. Ugh.
A Chance Encounter (I see what you did there.)
OK, so Shez is more of a generic idiot shonen protagonist. That's at least fairly inoffensive, but pretty disappointing all the same.
DIMITRI!! <3 <3 <3
I'm going to sidebar for a moment: I don't think his student design gets appreciated enough. Everyone talks about his hair looking funny, but please consider that the game engine is bad at rendering hair and cloth. He's 100% adorable, and I love all the little details in his uniform, like the sword and the bits of armor the others lack, immediately telling you he's a soldier too.
Man is this nostalgic. And I just replayed 3H a year ago.
Ah, it switches you automatically between the leaders to demonstrate the weapon triangle. That's neat, if a bit jarring when I was suddenly Edelgard.
Oh my god these tutorial windows just will not stop for five seconds! I obviously want to learn how to play, but the pacing with telling me this info is flatly awful.
The character banter in the background is entertaining. Too bad I can barely pay attention to it because there's so much going on.
Alois is here! And I somehow S-Ranked that, even though I have no idea what I'm doing.
Ah, so this is the point of divergence; by killing Kostas, Shez made it so the leaders didn't have to go to Remire and find Jeralt's group. No Dimitri, you need to go to Remire and meet your beloved!
Now we're at a base camp. I'm shocked that the characters aren't voiced here, considering all of the Garreg Mach dialogue in 3H was. It's pretty jarring.
The character models are significantly improved, much smoother and cleaner looking than before. There is a strange (but minor) bloom effect going on with them in some lighting though.
Look at all these familiar faces! It's getting me emotional, especially seeing Ferdinand. (RIP Billy)
Edelgard tells me I can trust Hubert. Riiiiiiight....
Bernadetta didn't come. Good.
Sylvain's flirting with Shez, of course. Never change.
Once again, Dimitri raves about all of his friends while saying nothing about himself. Where the heck is my "Press X to hug" option?
Alois says Shez should come to Garreg Mach for payment. Shez says it sounds like hush money (Church Bad!). Arval calls it a threat. Claude says to make the best of it, Dimitri's remorseful, and Edelgard's all, "This is a prime opportunity for us to get to know each other!" Subtle game. /s
Pfft. Shez's observations on the leaders are pretty much the polar opposite of Byleth's.
Really nice establishing shot of Garreg Mach.
Rhea! Seteth! And free tuition for Shez to the Officer's Academy, because plot's gotta plot. Though at least this generosity is a big bright positive for the Church.
My Lions! The gang's all here! <3 <3 <3
...Jeritza is our teacher? OK, sure, that makes total sense (it makes no sense. WTF game? Did one of the writers spend too much time on Reddit? This is going to suck...)
Hearing Shez voice their chosen responses is good. And it makes me more angry that it wasn't done for Byleth in 3H. I don't really mind silent protagonists overall, but in Byleth's case, it would've benefited them a great deal.
Not a bad start. The gameplay pacing is an issue, but so far, so good.

Baldur's Gate 3 Original character: Isela Kiraed
Basic background
Name: Isela Octavia Kiraed (her middle name is an obvious reference to the default name of Tav)
Race: Human
Age: 24
Profession: bard
Religious affiliation: Oghma
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additional notes
Right now, I feel that I don't have enough information about her as to determine an alignment. As I am interested in the possibility of pairing her with Gortash, she would probably be a neutral alignment, since I don't see her as being an evil character.
Obviously, I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 yet, so I don't have a very good grasp of her character and her reaction in regard to the events of the story. Unlike the previous OCs, Isela is more of a rough concept.
The unusual spelling is actually not my attempt of making her name a bit more unique. I wanted to call her Isla, but I actually have a friend whose daughter is called that, so I feel a bit weird in using that exact same spelling. However, I really want to use the name so upon discovering that Isela is an alternative and obscure spelling, I decided to use it.
I have written a few Baldur's Gate 3 fan fiction and these stories totally discard the timeline by having the events of Baldur's Gate 3 only about two decades after the second game. However, I had the idea for a story where Tav meets Dahlia (this was before I borrow Lumina from Dark Urge Diaries) and so I needed to create a Tav that exists in the correct time line. Since I had the crazy idea of having my BG2 OCs being related from IWD2 OCs, I thought I could try and do the same. The result is that Isela is a few generations related to Elena and Dahlia.
Relationship with the Kiraed family
Isela's paternal grandfather's paternal grandmother (4 generations ago- not including Isela) is actually the cousin of Dahlia and Elena's maternal grandfather, as her father (5 generations ago) and his father are siblings, which her father being the younger son.
The said grandmother actually married a noble and the family was fairly well off as middle class merchants. However, Isela's grandfather would be interested in the family ancestry and discovered that he is actually now the one that is the heir to the family name (which long lost any meaning). As a result, he would change their last name to Kiraed.
Biography
Isela grew up rather comfortably off, with both her father and grandfather being fairly successful merchants. While her brother decided to enter the family business, she would decide to follow her dreams of being a bard. Despite the rest of the family being in Athkatla, she would travel to Baldur's Gate, where she would find some success by performing in taverns, as well as the occasional odd jobs now and then.
Isela would play the harp and have some skill in archery, which she usually rely on. She does have some very basic skill with swords wielding, but it is only a last resort. The reason for her instrument is because I like the AI images of her playing the harp so much more then the lute. And since it has to be a portable instrument, that is why it is a small harp. As for her being able to have some weaponry skills, given that she is a young woman travelling and living alone, she would definitely need some sort of protection.
Possible pairings
If I actually am choosing for myself, then I would choose Gale. However, I find Gale to be a surprisingly difficult character to write due to the way he speaks, and I also think it would be more fun to write about a more surprising pair (or it is just because I really like Gortash after Raphael, who is already appearing with Dahlia in my Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 multi-chapters). I don't know why but I want to work with the idea of a normal Tav and Gortash. It would be a bit like my pairing of Dahlia and Raphael. The other is a special exception for the evil character, and the exception need to realise and understand this.
I am also of the group that believe Gortash has a very intimate relationship with the Dark Urge, so this would be something that has to be addressed. It goes beyond the normal boyfriend still thinking about his ex due to the nature of the Dark Urge. It will almost be a sense of feeling that you would always end up being seen as not good enough.
The illustration
Isela is meant to have red hair like her ancestors, and as I said, she actually ended up playing a harp because the AI image generated for lyres were much nicer. I ended up including two images of her, because I feel it is almost a sense of before and after. The watercolour sketch is her preparing for her actual performance, which is then the digital art image. I think another reason that I felt so is because the dresses actually seem rather similar.

Edgy/misc OC ask meme ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?
It's fight or freeze, surprisingly. She's a tall girl, she can normally handle herself and she takes a lot of pride in that, she's not a woman to be saved, but a woman to be saved from. I don't think I play it up how I used to, but Mari's supposed to be a little scary, intimidating and a little dismissive, think what people stereotype when they think big cat. If she's scared but there are others around, it's a fight response, especially when it comes to her siblings or friends, it's a protective instinct. But if she's overwhelmed, then she'll freeze, it's rare, it's unusual but it happens and she fucking hates when it does.
The freeze thing does actually come from an interaction I had playing Mari years ago and I actually found it really interesting to play someone who's usually quite fearless as scared. She doesn't freeze up often, but when she does, she won't stop thinking about it and how much it actually fucks her up. So freeze is rare, but it has the most effect on her.
7. What’s one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
So I started playing Mari as an eighteen-year-old and I feel like as a concept she's grown since then? She's a sports anime OC after the sports anime is over basically, I like that she's older and grown past the fandom I created her in because I have more freedom with her if that makes sense? Also I kind of like examining how her personality flaws have accompanied her to adulthood. Her concept was a scary looking teen who spoke Kyoto-ben in a soft voice, I think she was originally 5'9'' which is tall for a Japanese high school student but not the 6'1'' heel wearing dance teacher she became. Mari's softer side came as I played her too, I wrote that she had a soft side for her teammates but it kind of expanded to people she liked quite quickly and the fact that she's easy to fluster, a fan of cutesy things and a loser underneath a cool exterior came after that.
I also think that I don't mention her race as much, which had a lot of impact on her as a person growing up, she's always felt like an outsider wherever she's gone, she's never going to be conventionally pretty as she's the opposite of most beauty standards and she's insecure because of it. Feels like she's the worst so always acts like she's the best. That kind of thing. But also I think not talking about it as much kind of makes it more like...well Mari is Mari, haha.
22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Mari is chaotic good under the impression that she's true neutral, knows the rules and how to twist them, has a sense of justice that makes it hard not to help people. She'll pretend that she's dragging her feet the whole way, but she's a good person. Just refuses to admit it. She thinks she's true neutral because she tends to do what she wants, while simultaneously denying that maybe, just maybe what she wants to do is good. I feel like she's the type who would never consider herself a 'good person', so calling herself anything good is enough to make her eyes roll.
