i think, and this may just be my zekrom bias speaking, that if someone wants to experience the full value of bw's story it's better to play through white first. black has the issue of coming off as very dismissive towards plasma's legitimate and well-founded claims that pokemon abuse DOES occur (and it does! from the kanto games' marowak to bw2's liepard there's instances where it's put in the spotlight, so it certainly does happen)... by assigning the protagonist to truth, it feels pretty evident that n's beliefs are "wrong", and the game just seems to brush any questioning aside.
on the other hand, white giving n the hero of truth role means we're basically forced to think about what that means for the relationship of people and pokemon at large. to translate a point n makes in chargestone cave: if you allow people to coexist with pokemon, even if the majority of trainers treat them well, there will always be someone somewhere out there who abuses or neglects them instead. are we okay with that? should those pokemon still be allowed to suffer, just because what they experience is an outlier to the general rule? while not outright stated, zekrom's association with hope and the strive for the ideal suggests that we don't brush off these facts, but instead take them into consideration, and aim to change the world based off of them... like how in bw2 society in unova puts a lot more emphasis on the bond between people and pokemon, and on pokemon as equals (see: iris's dialogue before entering your team info the hall of fame).
i think black version has its own unique avenues to explore, but on the surface level, it's a much more cut and dry, "no, you're just wrong", type of story that kind of makes you work harder to fit it into bw's overall theming of "the world's not black and white, there's not a singular objective right or wrong perspective."

Sometimes I feel very sad that I didn鈥檛 just focus on one creative skill. I look at my art some days and go I wish I鈥檇 spent all my time making only that, because that way it would look better and I鈥檇 do more and it wouldn鈥檛 matter if I couldn鈥檛 write very well because my art would be amazing and I鈥檇 be able to make the stuff I really want to and maybe even get a job related to it and I wouldn鈥檛 feel like so much time was wasted. And often times it really does feel like you鈥檙e wasting time and everything is telling you to just pick something to focus on so it can mean something and you can never seem to pick one of anything.
And then other days I feel like an absolute GOD. Anyone else able to write your own fic and then draw art for it just because you can? Can you make an edit/amv after writing a silly little analysis post on the show/character that is so perfectly on beat and fits the lyrics and with transitions so slapping you get chills while watching? Can you write a short silly ditty on the guitar about how you鈥檙e feeling using the eight chords know and belt it out only a little bit off key then do a choppy little animation of your sona singing it?
I may not be the most skilled at all of the above, and it can be a little lonely to be a one man band who doesn鈥檛 play half as well as a lot of people out there, but when your power goes out or your wifi dies or you have a day off, everyone else is busy and you鈥檙e alone...
you play the best gosh dang music in existence

aww fiend looks so sad when they鈥檙e frowning
(it鈥檚 almost cute /j)
maybe that鈥檚 why you always draw them smiling
Something about the fact they are smiling all the time, makes them actually showing a different expression more impactful, I suppose
But that is not exactly the reason why they are always depicted as smiling, that just happens to be a bonus reason jdfgkdgf
There are two main reasons, and then within those reasons are mini reasons - with Reason One being Artistic Choice (I think it's funny for them to be like :3 all the time, but it is also kinda unsettling! I also have a fondness for 'permanent smilers', and several of my muses have semi-permanent smiles (some are also smug bastards, or some physically cannot change expression etc))
And the second Reason is there is Lore; For clones, excessive smiling and/or showing teeth is a sign of aggression - so Fiend is basically putting out the message of 'I am dangerous and will not hesitate to fight!'
BUT for humans, smiling is typically seen as a friendly thing, so for humans Fiend is saying 'I am very nice and friendly! Please come closer, I will definitely not bite you!!!' (although, this does not usually work as Fiend's other features put people off - and they're not allowed to hunt humans anyways)
Idk why I decided to share all that, but I hope you enjoy ghdsgh
(And I will not say that you almost called them cute with a /j bc they are already in a bad mood, let's not make it worse!!!)
