the shot of nate being stopped in his tracks seeing ted and trent talk is making me mental because we as an audience know that nate leaked ted's mental health to trent. nate wanted to be an anonymous source so he probably didn't piece together that ted knows what he did because ted hasn't really confronted nate about it and not many people know the full story of what went down so it hasn't spread around (the team just now know about the sign being torn in half). nate couldn't make amends for his accidental slight in not shaking ted's hand because he couldn't face the deeper hurt he has caused to the man he looked up to, who was one of the first to see his potential

the thing that hit me the hardest on ted lasso this week is colin's reaction from when isaac walks in at half-time to when he stands up and says isaac isn't gay.

Ok ok but...

With whatever tension is going to happen between Colin and Isaac it's going to create tension between Ted and Trent too.

Colin and Isaac are not going to open up to Ted about why they're acting so weird around each other. However Isaac reacts to Colin being gay, however he feels, he's not going to out Colin to someone, that's not him. So Ted's gonna ask them what's going on and try to get them to talk about it and they're both going to refuse. But it's going to put Richmond's win streak at risk in a big way.

Ted's going to have to make a decision on what to do without knowing the story, and since Isaac is captain that likely means Colin getting pulled off first string.

And normally that would be ok for Colin, he's a chameleon...but in this particular instance it will feel to Colin like he's being punished for being gay.

And Trent is the only one who gets it. So he's gonna try to step in. But what's that going to look like to Ted?

Trent, our man, Trent has been purposefully trying to stay neutral this whole season. He's been refusing to give advice until pushed. He's never stepped in before, not even when the team was on a losing streak. Not with strategy, no, but with two teammates struggling with eachother? For the very thing that Ted is best at coaching in his players? For the very thing that Trent's book is about? As two players are having tension, as they refuse to talk to Ted, now he steps into Ted's way? And right after becoming a Diamond Dog, and being brought into Ted's inner circle of trusted people? Trent knows what's going on and won't tell Ted so he can actually do his job?

It's off, it's odd, it's frustrating, and it requires Ted's complete and total trust of Trent to work, trust that would normally be reserved for only the most important people in Ted's life.

But of course Ted trusts Trent like that...

I loved everything about this weeks episode, I'm just having troubles deciding whether i loved more Trent and Colin queer solidarity and recognition of each other, the whole heartbreaking admission to hat Colin just wants to have what his friends have, or the Jamie and Roy escapade aeound Amsterdam.

Jamie teaching Roy to ride a bike, sharing parts of his past that honestly, make anyone want to drown Tartt senior in a toilet for being a cunt, and showing how much growth there's been on his character. He'd be the first one calling for a sex show in season one, and now we have him training, and being supportive, and showing he's actually very smart.

I think that Jamie is pushing hard to become my favourite character. He's just great.

ohh yeah! i definitely am not shipping ted/trent “just because,” i ship them because it feels very compelling to me and i got the brainworms for them before season 3

in s1 and 2 alone, just the implications of trent being known for obliterating ppl on paper and rebecca essentially letting him loose on ted for that reason… all for trent to suddenly write the nicest article in probably,, ever?? her frustration reaction in her call with higgins is definitely underrated

trent was lichhhrally the first person in richmond to fall for the lasso effect, and on paper you’d think he’d be the last!

and that’s not even getting me started on trent’s massive life change in s2 which was only fueled by ted, but i could honestly go all day and maybe i shouldn’t lol

EXACTLYYY EXACTLY EXACTLY!!!!!!! Trent Crimm, a journalist known for being brutal when it comes to writing articles, was baffled and turned upside down just because Ted is just a nice and honest man to him and it makes me giggle and kick my feet sooo much...

i think about that scene in 1x03 alot with the, "It ain't always easy, Trent, but neither is growing up without someone believing in you." i know so much that, that line struck with Trent heavily because of his own issues with his relationship with work, with his own father wanting him to be more stern and an actual football player, etc. and he immediately realized that oh god. this is an honest man that i don't want to ruin because he can change or break everything around richmond just because of how weirdly optimistic he is, and then proceeds to run outta that restaurant to contemplate his whole life LMAO
