when u get this u have to answer with 5 things u like about yourself, publicly. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite mutuals (non-negotiable, positivity is cool!)
Both you and @choasuqeen had sent me this at roughly the same time, so I guess I’m gonna have to answer this with ten things instead, which is fine!
I was able to cut, sew and stitch on a collar on to my Steve shirt in time to wear it out to my local convention with Blue in hand! Here's one of many photos!
2. Still can't believe I'm saying this, but I managed to rope in three friends to help me sing a cover of 'The Rainbow Connection' for a friend's belated birthday present. I genuinely still listen to it because... wow. It genuinely made both my friend and I tear up when we listened to it together over discord.
(And honestly, we could all do with a bigger choir together...)
3. I'm actually kinda proud of how far my art's come since I started keeping sketchbooks. Looking at the shelf on my right from 2019 to now (though I started in 2013), it's nuts how much I've drawn in those years.
4. On the topic of sewing and sketchbooks, I'm actually kinda surprised I still have bookbound my own sketchbooks, and now they sit in wait to be used someday, ready and waiting in their drawers until I choose the next to go ham with.
5. ...oh my god I still can't fully grasp the weight of having written my show's complete pilot episode, complete since last year for Honours. I know I usually talk and think about it in a very light manner, but dude! I have LORE for that story in SEVERAL notebooks, building and retconning and rewriting as I've gone. I did that??? I DID that?????!!!!!
6. If I really like someone international and online (PLATONICALLY), I'm the kind of woman to mail them physical gifts. The fact that I've sent so much mail and have a minor hoarde of envelopes and sealing wax should say something. This only comes at a certain level of closeness though, since, well, of course. You don't go exchanging physically addresses that easily.
7. Something I hadn’t noticed myself until someone had pointed it out to me is that I’m very outwardly silly in front of my friends. And why shouldn’t I be, I love it! I love that I can say or do something that can make my friends laugh; that I have the lack of care to just do a family guy death pose in a video games shop, get a lab coat for a Beaker Bit, or even have the dumbest grin and cackle while everyone else is done at another dad joke I can think of on the spot.
8. It’s hard to believe it now, but me ten years ago on this hellsite didn’t really have two cares about fashion aside from emulating her idol at the time. Now? I’ve developed some tastes and aesthetics, and while I still have a way to keep growing, I’ve found multiple styles and dream outfits and even outfits I own that not only work in comfort, but also style. Velvet green flared pants? Gold jeans? Bright blue overcoat? Vests? YES.
9. Now that I think about it, I’m… actually kind of impressed with my range of voice acting and impressions? Yes it’s very silly and often for the bit, but I’ve had people compliment my Kermit the Frog voice before, and even if I can’t reach the octave Columbo is at, I can still do the vibes.
10. This is off the back of having a psychology appointment recently, but... I'm kinda proud of how far I've come, honestly. From a lost and lonely and scared girl stuck in NZ to someone about to get a teacher's aide job (hopefully, pray for me y'all!) at her old school's sister school for kids on the spectrum - WITH a Bachelor's and Honours in Animation. In Australia. Who would've thought? I sure didn't. But now I'm here.

Andi Mack 3x16 Review
One Girl’s Trash really showcased why Andi Mack is such an important show though I wish they would have spent more time on the stereotypes plot. Let’s dig in!
Positives:
When Andi Mack is at its best there’s really nothing like it anywhere on TV and it’s going to leave such a void when it ends and I hope something fills that void sooner rather than later.
A really strong A plot by Elena Song, it makes such a difference that the diversity we see on the show is mirrored in the writers room. I was so happy that they actually had Andi used the word Asian when talking about the stereotypes she was facing; it was a big improvement from the more coded way they had to talk about the racism Buffy faced back in S1 in regards to her hair. Words truly do matter and being able to openly and accurately describe these kind of things is so important.
Lilan and Peyton posted on how much this ep means to them and I hope we’ll be seeing more plots like this on kids TV.
Honestly my only real complaint about the A plot is that it felt too short and I wish Celia had been in this ep and that Bex could have been brought in to, seeing three generations of Asian woman supporting each other would have been great.
I also liked that Andi said that Mrs. Frankel turning the stereotyping into a teachable moment wasn’t fun which of course would be true in reality. I also appreciate that the show continues to put black women in positions of authority.
It was great to see Andi so into art again and it makes for a good way to bring her story to a climax.
Andi’s art project looked like something a 14 year old might come up with and I liked that she was inspired but didn’t immediately know what she was going to do for her project.
Hangry and resting happy face were very funny jokes.
A rare Andi and Cyrus scene. Liked the callback to the rainbow wig and the protest and the experiment; definitely a show reaching to its past as it prepares for the end. And we get two callbacks to the party tonight to set up the finale. It did feel a bit tacked on but that’s likely because the writers wanted to get in some solo time for this duo before they run out of time.
Stellar acting from Trent and Lilan this ep. Bowie talking about wanting to one day see Andi get married in Bex’s dress and how it wouldn’t happen now was so sad. That was some good Bexie angst. and it actually felt earned. I’m glad it’s all out in the open now. Bex’s biggest flaw is that she runs from her problems and she was being willfully blind to the fact that obviously Bowie wanted to get married. Now she has to face reality and make her choice.
Jonah was hilarious tonight. Asher was killing it with the comedy. His groan when he said he’d have to breakup with Amber again? Emmy worthy. There’s really not much to Jonah other than Frisbee and dimples and I like when they just use him as comic relief; it usually lands better than when they shove Cyrus in that role.
Jonah is definitely true to life for the average 14 year old boy but in fairness at least he recognized that he didn’t reciprocate Amber’s feelings and that he had to eventually be honest with her.
Nice little callback to 3x07 with Jonah wearing the same blue sweater he wore when he was with Libby at the school. And a nice realistic touch since he would be re wearing clothes.
It was good of him to actually take her on a real date and I liked the detail of him winning tickets on the radio.
Andi really is being a good friend to both Amber and Jonah and is giving good advice, though how long that lasts remains to be seen.
Amber was the most likeable she’s ever been. Really strong performance from Emily tonight. Disney PR posted that she actually was driving the go kart which is cool. Must have been really fun to shoot.
I liked that we opened on community service, too often this show just ignores the events of the previous ep. 20 hours of service for trespassing and theft versus 100 hours for playing with a gun is interesting
More set up for Buffy’s injury.
Negatives:
Jamber is a huge mess and really not a wise use of precious screen time. Amber is clearly looking for the affection she’s not getting at home and Jonah is probably the worst possible character on the show to seek that from. I really don’t know what exactly Amber’s version of a happy ending will be; there’s really nothing the show can do to solve her parents problems or her financial problems.
Amber has always been an oddly written character. She’s never gotten the full redemption arc TJ had and the writers never seemed to truly settle on an arc for her. I get why she was in so many eps this season: unlike Garren they had Emily available from the start and didn’t have to work around her schedule and unlike Luke she’s not playing a gay character who’s story needs to be delayed until the very end but I really don’t think we needed Amber in 11 of the original 21 eps this season.
Jonah is another character who has been woefully under developed. I don’t think the writers ever decided what exactly was the deal with his not liking labels or commitments yet also being a chronic relationship hopper. He’s right that what he and Amber have can just be fun instead of love but then why is he dating her? Just stay friends! Part of the problem is that Jonah is first and foremost a love interest and they don’t tend to get much development but because Cyrus’ story has so many constraints the writers were forced to focus more on Jonah than they would have if Cyrus had been straight without really having much in the way planned for him.
Cyrus’ shirt at school was ugly. A really bad misfire by the wardrobe department.
Looking Ahead:
So the original casting notice released by our friends at Yun Casting was correct and Rachel is still Marty’s current girlfriend and the official Disney synopsis describing her as Marty’s ex is incorrect. I don’t think it’s ever happened before where the synopsis got a detail like that wrong. Obviously they break up at the bowling alley so maybe that’s why Disney wrote it that way? The casting notice describes Rachel as a co-star so she won’t get much screen time.
It’s going to be very messy making Buffy a homewrecker. Her saying ‘’oh you’re real’’ to Rachel is quite a power move but then again Driscoll doesn’t draw. Likely we see her twirling her hair at Marty since Cyrus is there and is the only one who knows about that tell.
Good on Rachel for seeing what’s right in front of her. She was obviously just a rebound for Marty and he’s clearly been spending a lot of time with Buffy once she reached out to him. Not a good look to have him be emotionally cheating on Rachel for the last several weeks but I’m sure that will be swept under the rug in order to get that Muffy endgame.
Buffy seems to be hobbling a bit so clearly her foot is getting worse. Does it get injured at the bowling alley or later on since she seems to be injured before the game itself in 3x18.
Still no hint when the new Muffy pro player plot happens. It was meant to replace their scenes at the original wedding and it really does seem like the original wedding happened pretty quickly after 3x17 so I don’t know if they can delay those Muffy scenes all that long.
It does look like the timeline is fairly smooth, it’s only been a few weeks since costume day and the rest of the series probably only spans another few weeks or a month in universe.
Andi goes to SAVA. Does she stay there or transfer to a school elsewhere? Is it her moving in the finale or is Jonah moving far away?
3x17 had Ham so we’re going to see some sort of cuts or re-shoots. The texts released before this ep had a convo between Bex and Bowie and Andi about a movie night do-over that was pretty clear foreshadowing for an ‘’I Do-over’’ convo in 3x17 even if that’s now cut. Bex talked about having a movie night do-over and Bowie questioned if it was a do-over if it never happened in the first place and Bex replied that she would give Bowie the movie night her deserved. Swap in wedding for movie night and you have a rough outline of the kind of convo we likely would have seen in 3x17 before the re-shoots.
Ham obviously had an important role to play in getting the wedding back on track but what exactly we don’t know. And how Bex goes from not wanting to get married to agreeing to get married and agreeing to Celia’s lavish wedding plan in otl is an open question. The show has always struggled with pacing and they really should have had Bex call of the wedding earlier in the season rather than rushing it like this. It will be interesting if nothing else to see what kind of Mack family scenes we’re getting next week; there’s a range of possibilities from most of them being cut to a brief Mack family only wedding happening.
Therapist Cyrus is usually pretty boring and I wonder if his advice actually helps. His meddling often backfires like when he accidentally convinced Jonah to get back together with Amber in S1.
I really don’t know if they can keep Andi completely romance free for the rest of the season. I did wonder if her asking Jonah to share a milkshake was going to lead to something. She’s been very supportive of both Amber and Jonah but it seems like the kind of situation where the writers would make things messier for the drama, even if they didn’t fully think it through.
This could very well be the last time we ever see the GHC inside Andi Shack. And come to think of it we’ve never seen Jonah inside of it and maybe we never will.
These last 4 eps are going to be wild. Until next week folks.

In Character Survey:
1: What eye color do you find sexiest?
There is something about those deep brown or blue eyes I find to be alluring, filled with so much emotion.
2: White, milk, or dark chocolate mocha?
Well I’m not much of a sweets person but I’d rather have milk chocolate, at least that’s what I think the question is asking. . .
3: If you could get a Sharpie tattoo on your back, what would it be?
I don’t think it’d matter since there isn’t any room on my back for anything else.
4: Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?
I was born in a large town, but where I grew up was fairly small, quiet, out in the middle of nowhere.
5: Your favorite adult as a child? (and not your parents, if they were your favorite)
Lets see, I’m not sure if I put much thought into that. Maybe looking back I’d might say my old academies principal. Going any further than that is delving into memories I’d much rather let sit and collect dust.
6: What kind of smoothie sounds really good right now?
Oh! Smoothies are awesome! Personally I love anything strawberry! Maybe a Strawberry Banana!
7: Most embarrassing moment from your elementary school years?
Hmm, elementary school embarrassment. . .Might of been when Alexa kissed me in the middle of class. At that time it was pretty shocking.
8: Most embarrassing moment from your middle school years?
Middle school was actually pretty uneventful for the most part, aside from the occasional lunch slip up. You know, tripping and your lunch tray goes flying through the air or something.
9: Most embarrassing moment from your high school years?
Now I wouldn’t exactly call it embarrassing, though it was a bit. I had just so happened to set fire to the school’s swimming pool thanks to a bad batch of fireworks I’d gotten my hands on from one of those roadside stands. Boy did it make a whole lot of noise!
10: Pirates or ninjas? Why?
Pirate Ninja’s!
11: Have you ever climbed a tree more than twenty feet off the ground?
Certainly, who hasn’t as a child?
12: Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing set?
I absolutely did and still do. Even if it might seem a bit childish, I’ll still sit upon a swing if I’m alone and nobody's around. Sit by myself for a bit and quietly swing. Might make for an interesting date.
13: If you could have any pet in the world, illegal or not, what would you get?
Any Kind of pet? I’m pretty fond of Bats, more particularly the flying foxes, they’re just too adorable when they snack on fruit!
14: What's your most favorite part of your body?
My favorite part of my own body? Uh. . .Maybe my eyes? Guess I could say something more vain like my chest or something, but honestly that just isn’t me.
15: What's your most favorite part of your personality?
My personality! I’d say it would have to be both my easy going demeanor while still being able to keep a serious attitude when required.
16: Madonna or Lady Gaga? Neither? Both? Who cares?
Ummm What? Don’t think I know either of these people. . .
17: Have you ever watched the Superbowl all the way through?
Sorry I don’t watch sports, I’d prefer to play them, but even then Football isn’t one of my favorites.
18: Have you ever watched any major sporting event drunk?
I don’t believe getting drunk is necessary to have a good time, besides alcohol doesn’t work on me. My metabolism works too fast.
19: What's the most delicious food you've ever eaten in your life?
Okay now this is a great question! So on my travels I’ve been pretty much all over the states, and tried all kinds of food. Yet the one place I occasionally return to is this small little hole in the wall mexican restaurant that does great pork tamales with mole sauce! Perfect combination of sweetness, and spice that tastes great on your tongue!
20: Margarine or butter? Which did you grow up with?
I really never paid attention, but when I’m cooking, I’ll always use real butter. Just easier. Diet? Who cares!
21: Whole, skim, 1%, or 2% milk? (Did you know they make 1 1/2% milk?)
I usually have no preference on milk to be honest. I’ll either pour it into whatever I happen to be making at the time, or straight into cereal.
22: Which continents have you been on?
Like I’ve said, I do travel quite a bit. Only been in Asia a couple times, wouldn’t mind checking it out in more detail. Both North and South America are pretty much a given. Europe and Australia I’ve also had the pleasure of checking out.
23: Do you get motion sickness? Any horror stories?
Nah, I love car rides and such, no vomiting here, sorry!
24: Backpacks or satchels?
Aren’t they the same? I’ve always just called them backpacks, or backbreakers.
25: Would you wear a rainbow jacket? A neon yellow sweater? Checkered pants?
Well I’m not terribly fond of the whole 80’s fashion sense, or at least I think it was the 80’s. . .
26: What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
We didn’t watch a lot of tv in school, you know the whole boarding school thing. Mostly dorm rooms and mischief.
27: If you had to have a cow or a pig, which would you take? Why?
Umm. . . for what? We talking pets or for food? Pets I wouldn’t know what to go with. In the case of food, Ham all the way! Love ham and Bacon!
28: If you had to look at one city skyline for the rest of your life, which would it be?
There is nothing like a beautiful city skyline, especially as the sun sets and the city lights begin to glow! There was this one place, can’t remember the name. But it was smack dab on the beach, just beyond the buildings you could see the ocean stretch beyond. Occasional ships dotting the water. Truly beautiful.
29: Longest plane ride you've ever been on?
Oh boy! A nineteen hour plane ride. Absolutely the worst ever! One of those people who can’t sit still for periods of time, and boy that trip I was beginning to get claustrophobic.
30: The latest you've ever slept?
Well my sleeping habits are a bit strange. Me being a Vampire and all, I tend to live on a nocturnal schedule unless I need to directly deal with humans, then I’ll adapt to their cycles. But even then there are times I can’t really sleep. Too many things to overthink about. Then again I have slept for an entire twenty four hours.
31: Would you buy a sweater covered in kitten pictures? Would you wear it if someone gave it you for free?
Wow a sweater with kittens all over it. Not sure what I’d think, maybe I’d wear it if my significant other gave it to me. Then again it’d probably be one of those gag gifts.
32: Do you pick at scabs?
Ewww no! Besides, my bodies healing factor works too fast for scabs to form. Thankfully.
33: Favorite kind of bean? Kidney? Black? Pinto?
This is very random. Don’t have a favorite bean, generally just toss em all into a chili pot.
34: How far can you throw a baseball?
Probably much further than the average or above average baseball player, boy wouldn’t it be fun to mess with some of the pro athletes? >:)
35: If you had to move to another country, where would you move?
I’m actually quite fond of Europe, the art, the food, the people, but the place I would move to without skipping a beat would be Venice. The buildings, the canals, the gondoliers singing songs about love in Italian or Veneto.
36: Have you ever eaten Ethiopian food? Vietnamese? Korean? Nepalese? How was it?
I’ve had Korean, nothing too special though. Completely prefer mexican food.
37: Small, liberal arts school or public university? Why?
I wouldn’t know to be honest, only grew up attending private academies.
38: A relationship with love or one with sex?
I don’t see why a loving relationship can’t have sex in the mix. Granted I don’t want a relationship dominated by just sex, there needs to be a deep connection between the people. God maybe I’m just too mushy when it comes to relationships.
39: Do you eat enough vegetables?
I’d like to think I do! Love being able to saute veggies, listening to the sounds they make sizzling in a splash of oil, and lemon juice.
40: Do you like horror movies? How about thrillers?
Well I’m not much of a horror flick kind of person, mainly cartoons.
41: Would you scratch a crotch itch in public?
Oh come on, there has to be a way to do it discreetly! Obviously I’m not going to reach down my pants and scratch in broad daylight!
42: Do you swear in front of your parents?
Yeah, the last time I did that years ago, my mother slapped me into the next week, then slapped me back into yesterweek. A whole lot of fun that was.
43: Coolest thing you've ever been for Halloween?
Okay so in our society we really don’t celebrate halloween as much, I mean the little ones do because who can resist dressing up like your favorite super hero? But mainly our holiday is Samhain, generally the same, just with less costumes and candy but still for celebration. Old world stuff.
44: If you could change your natural hair color, would you? To what?
I can and have to an extent. Granted I don’t change my hair color to something obnoxious like neon purple. Technically my real hair color is. . .you know that silvery blond? Yup that’s the one!
45: Do you want to get married? Have kids?
Sometime in the distant future I’d like to be able to have kids, granted it might be difficult since well. . . I am gay, so something obviously needs to be figured out, but I wouldn’t mind eventually hearing the pitter patter of feet running into my room on morning trying to wake up their daddies. Little bodies jumping up and down on the bed dressed in little onesies.
46: Do you use a reusable water bottle? If not, you should.
Occasionally, not something that usually is of importance.
47: City or nature person?
Can I say a bit of both? While I love being able to just go out on my own and walk through a field or forest, listening to the sound of nature and breathing the fresh air. While I equally like walking down streets, maybe picking a park or local bar to sit at and just people watch. Maybe take a quick peek at their auras, see what kind of person they are. Their personality based on color. It’s pretty interesting.
48: Have you ever used something other than "makeup" as makeup? (Like paint? Markers?)
Well back in school we did have some sporting events, I guess ‘war paint’ would count.
49: Can you walk well in high heels? Even if you're a guy?
Well now, that isn’t something I’ve tried. I’ve got a pretty good sense of balance, but I have a feeling high heels would be my ultimate downfall. Heh.
50: Post 5 awesome things about yourself. BRAG AWAY!
Wow, five things. . .Why are these so difficult? Ummm. Well I’m a pretty good cook, baking comes just as easy. Despite my somewhat quiet, shy, stoic exterior I’m quite the romantic. Maybe a small mushy love filled card on someone’s desk at work, or a bouquet of flowers. Strangely enough I can do some metal and leather working, mostly as a hobby. Boy I’m really not all that great bragging about myself, maybe I’ll just have to let people find out for their self.
