“Appledusks only crime was cheating” AND THAT WAS MAPLESHADES ONLY CRIME UP UNTIL HER KITS DIED WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND, THEY BOTH BROKE THE CODE AND ONLY MAPLE SUFFERED FOR IT THATS NOT EVEN DEBATABLE ITS THE TRUTH

Mapleshade only had half clan kits with him they both were breaking the same code and that holds truth all the way up until mapleshade starts killing cats, maple got exiled and that lead her babies dying and what happens when she goes to riverclan? They tell her to fuck off and appledusk just lets them he goes “i didn’t actually love her lmao, I’ve learned my lesson” and darkstar just lets him stay, no actual consequences fall onto appledusk for breaking the same rule as maple did

Men in warriors never receive punishment for the same exact code breaking as the women do

The thing about Appledusk is he would’ve been fine to me if they had just not put Frecklewish in the dark forest. Him using the partner he cheated on to vouch for him would’ve been fine, it would’ve been a great way to show him fucking over Mapleshade.

Like I’ve got no issue with him doing bad things it’s that they wrote that whole article on why Frecklewish deserved damnation for not jumping into a raging river meanwhile all of the male characters involved get to go to kitty heaven.

Also the fact that Crowfeather is being considered for leadership and Leafpool had to go on trial. Food for thought!

#LOL #when i first got this username in 2014 i liked her just fine but in a sort of whatever way #over the years ive grown quite attached HAHAHA i love her shes so kitty of all time #her mother is killed horrifically and left outside her home & she immediately offers herself to lead the dogs which is a near death sentenc #& weeks later she participates in a massive battle to the death with bloodclan... these events r often credited as traumatic experiences #explaining ashfurs terrible life choices but ferncloud went thru the same thangs. & then dustpelt.... was an adult hovering over her through #out all of this. & then she just wants to have kittens & if were reading into it maybe she wants to raise kittens the way she wishes she was #raised but many of her kittens die early or make it to adulthood but die b4 her. & on top of just what we know about her life shes hated by #thousands of readers for being a woman who wants to raise kids. & SHES KILLED CUZ SHES SO HATED... #i notice even now ferncloud is still reduced to motherhood by a lot of ppl #& thats ok its not that deep shes a bg character its nobodys job to think about everything. but she can be so personal & special & emo too #she is to me 💗 im proud to be a ferncloud. if ferncloud has 0 fans it cuz i died 😁 #Oh i also have the handdrawn comic page from a shadow in riverclan by james that has ferncloud blushing at feathertail LOL #i am sooooooooo sorry for this miles long tags rant #ask

Due to some concerns, I would like to clarify that Brambleclaw's neglect in Dark Mirror au has nothing to do with my negative feelings towards his canon counterpart. I'm sorry if it ever came off that way.

The only time my feelings towards canon him has affected an au is in Little Leaders. All other versions of Brambleclaw have been rewritten based off of my much more positive feelings towards Bramblepaw.

I would also like to say: dm!Firestar will get his comeuppance, and dm!Brambleclaw will eventually get his happy ending. Unfortunately, I can't get into that until the latter half of Po3 and the majority of OOTS have been properly planned.

Already on it! Birchkit and Rowankit were Strikestone's biokits.

I'm still working on details; but my thought is that it was an honor siring situation. He was going to raise his kittens alone and claim Queen's Rights, but then he died in that fight with the impostor. He only told his close family about it.

So after the dust had settled, Heart and Dove contacted the honor dam/surrogate and asked what her plans with the kittens were, now that Strikestone was dead. That's how they ended up with Birch and Rowan.

Whoever they are, I think Strike was buddies with them, so I'm considering that maybe it was a litter of 3 and they kept one. But it's also possible that they established from the get-go that they did not want to raise kits, and so there were only 2 which Heart and Dove now have.

This means that they are considered Heartstar's kittens by all social means, but biologically, they are her grand-nespring.

#I was initially going to save Strikestone because I hated how they killed him in TBC #But the more I worked on Shadowsight I started to realize it could be meaningful with tweaks #Since Strike is like a fun uncle through TBC and having him there in the final confrontation with Ashfur could make it feel like #he has friends and family there supporting him #Though I'm still mad they killed Strike in canon because... PLEASE stop killing off interesting background characters #clans are full of nobodies #For all Shadowsight reacted to his death it may as well have been Hop or Flax or someone else in his age group #BB!TBC #Better bones au
