Nothing, NOTHING, is more annoying to a writer than when a character reveals their ACTUAL motivation... when you're almost done with the draft. 😡😨😭🤪

Writer: "You couldn't have told me that before Chapter 1? Heck, I would've taken any time before the midpoint of this story. But no, you just HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE EMOTIONAL CLIMAX. Do you know how much I'm going to have to rewrite?"

Amusement dances across the hard lines of his face, his gaze narrowing before something between a laugh and a growl rumbles from his chest. The motions of his wrist come to a halt, and it takes everything inside of you not to whine. Pulling his hand from your soaked panties, his wet fingers dig into your hips spinning you around, quick strides dragging you to the corvette that started your spiral.

“Steve!” You squeal, as your butt hits the cherry red metal of the hood. Dress still rucked up at your hips, your sweat slick skin sticks to it.
