SCP Scenarios: SCP Scarlet King x Reader | NEW CHARACTER

Ik ik, another new character

Since I've already done 343, God, I felt that it's only fair to add in his counterpart, Scarlet King

Also, I'll be referring to the Scarlet King as SK at some point, aaaaaaaaaaaand, the Scarlet King (and his Brides who I'll mention briefly here and there) would be a tiny bit OOC

Yes, I'm aware he has his 7 brides but I'm also married to him... Back off I'm also married to Cain and Dr Glass 🤣

DONT YOU DARE CALL SCARLET KING A DILF OR DADDY OR SUGAR DADDY LIKE YALL DID WITH 343 >:(

First Encounter

The Scarlet King would think that you're just like every other human/SCP

Probably ignores you because you're so annoying

Would even ask his kids to get rid of you which failed

SK would probably think you're an SCP (If you're a human ofc) since he can't seem to get rid of you

Most likely had asked the foundation kindly to remove you

But that fails too

Once you both started to hang out, he would come to find out that he has a soft spot for you

Has thought of making you his other bride but threw that idea away because he has more than enough and the reason he has 7 brides is to create more of his demon children's and that's it

He doesn't really care for them much

But somehow he felt like he's more vulnerable with you

Your Feelings

You started to develop some feelings for this demon after spending time hanging out with him

Which were months at a time

You were very much aware of his lore and file but you somehow fell for him and felt that he acted very much differently towards you

Soon, the foundation took notice of this and watched ver the both of you

Watching the interactions you both had, they were somewhat eager to know what'll happen if you both got together

SK would probably be able to sense your change in attitude and would try to brush it off

343 and Cain seemed to be quite weary since you're basically crushing on some negative energy

SK wanted to read your mind to see what was going on inside the non-existent head of yours but he just didn't

Even the brides tease you about your feelings towards the demon

Confession

It took a while for the Scarlet King to own up to his feelings and blurt them out

His other brides were also observant and encouraged him which was a surprise

He asked if you could meet up with him to which you agreed

Tried to be romantic just like how the brides told him but he chickened out

So you were the one who asked him out instead

He definitely said "Yes" in a span of a second

Nobody has ever witnessed the Scarlet King being so happy and calm

Not even the brides or their kids

It's even more of a shock for the foundation and they were even more terrified that he's cheery than pissed off

Luckily you're the reason why there weren't that many containment breaches

Date

The brides were the ones who suggested that the scarlet King took you to some romantic place

The foundation didn't say anything knowing that the SK can teleport here and there at will

Made sure that you're back by the curfew

SK would teleport you to some park for a picnic (Not that he eats, but he made sure to take a ton of food for your overly starved stomach)

The brides would probably dress you up beforehand and the foundation gave you a tracker for emergency purposes

The both of you gives 343 and 073 a headache on the daily basis

Even more so if you were related to them

Not even the Gate Guardian could do anything about it

Probably would teleport you to your desired holiday destination

In which the SK would probably shapeshift to appear more 'normal'

You would have to teach him some stuff humans would do so he doesn't act and look rediculous

When he gets jealous

Would rampage the hell out of the foundation

Nobody has ever seen him so mad before

Can get even angrier if you were hurt but that's another story

The SK would definitely send the person to hell with him and torture him

Might even send the guy back as a warning to not go after you at all

Like, the SK would be so overbearing that you've lost some friends

So you would be pretty pissed as well to which the SK would become quite upset because you're mad

But if there was a person who wouldn't leave you alone even if you've turned them down, then the SK would kill them on the spot

When there's a containment breach

Regardless of whether he caused the breach or not, he would find you

Which wouldn't be so hard because of his abilities which match 343

Can and will end the whole of humanity and everything else if he wanted to

Especially if you were hurt, albeit only a scratch

Makes sure to keep you safe while joining all the other SCPs just for fun

You get to sit on his shoulders because you're smaller in comparison

Won't let you leave his site, even if you can handle yourself

Only because he's an SCP himself and knows the dangers of all the other ones

Very much aware of the capabilities of the other SCPs and would even allow you to hang out with some of them if they were harmless or part of his clan

The SK would play with your feelings and manipulate you

Might even threaten you

Keeps you locked up in his hell and won't even let you out

Gives you your own personal 'room' which is a large cage with some fancy bed

Makes sure that you're all tied up in his dungeon so you don't escape

Which is difficult anyways since he puts a spell on it

If the foundation ever questions it, then they'll be killed

The brides help to do his bidding apart from the 7th who tried to help but was also locked away

Treats you like royalty until you try to rat him out

Definitely would torture you when he finds out and uses his telepathy to taunt you

His younger sister

You both would grow up with the relationship of a typical sibling

Having fights here and there, but the SK would also protect you if you were in trouble

Although the SK is much more ruthless and careless, he's quite intelligent and cares for those who he's close to the most

So much so to the point he's overly protective like he's your dad

If you were caught by the foundation, he would hunt them down and kill them for kidnapping you

Only to find out you befriended some SCPs and researchers

Most likely will give him a headache because you're so curious and naive

Quite reluctant for you to be friends with them but will allow you to do so because you give him those eyes

It's even worse since you've become quick friends with his brides and he mistreats them

Definitely tell him off for doing so

The brides think of you as their little sister as well

Lets you play with their kids, despite them being dangerous as well

You're more sassy and witty compared to the SK which leaves him speechless most of the time so he avoids arguing

Like that one time, the brides and the foundation witnessed SK's defeat when you both were arguing about cats and you let your sass get the better of you which defeated him

He did the walk of shame and gave everyone that look

When his kid says their name for the first time Would scream so loud that people above Hell (aka the Foundation) could hear him

The Scarlet King would be quite joyful and would tell everyone about it

Even his kids and the brides

You're just sat in the corner giggling as he tries to teach them new words

Definitely would bribe his child to say his name as well

Doesn't work because he ended up getting slapped in the face instead

He wanted to cry but didn't because crying is for the weak

When his S/O is angry

Would be terrified af

Which is pretty funny to everyone since almost nobody has ever seen him so scared before, yet alone you

Even more so if you were just an ordinary human and was angry at him for whatever he's done

The Scarlet King would try and calm you down but backfires

Ended up getting a bloody nose and his ribs broken along with his wings being chipped

Everyone wondered how that happened unless you were an anomaly

Not even Dr Wondertainment, 343, Cain, Abel, Iris and the Gate Guardian could explain it

And neither could 999, 682, 049 and 035

Would let you cool down for a while by sending you back to the foundation

The foundation would be quite entertained by it all

When his Pregnant!S/O gets hurt by accident

Would be filled with rage at all cost

Probably expected someone to own it up because he's the Scarlet King and you're pregnant with his child

Realises that you hurt yourself by accident after you've cooled him down

Healed you up in an instant

Teleports all the stuff which could be a hazard to your health

Definitely would lecture you

And follow you around

If he's not there, then he'll either send one of his brides, kids or create a bodyguard of some sort to follow you around

Would tell his unborn child to be gentler with you because you're injured

Meeting a Dragon!Hybrid!Child!Fem!Reader

Would be intrigued about you

Thinks you're just an annoying hybrid child that just happened to take an interest in him

Finds out much later that he's quite fond of you

Brings you whatever you want

Builds a fatherly bond with you and swore to protect you forever

Has a soft spot for you and the foundation plots to use you for bribery

Teaches you to control your powers and use your wings for other than flying

Is a great yet strict mentor to you

Makes sure that his brides and kids are nice to you

Would leave you with them for babysitting while he's on a trip

If the foundation catches you, he will be keeping a stern eye on them

Especially that you're naive, kind and innocent

When he accidentally kills you

You were just on a mission where the Scarlet King received the news that there was danger headed your way

Teleported there and started to attack anyone and everyone, including the SCPs

You managed to capture the unknown enemy alongside your remaining team

Tried to stop the SK because he kept attacking your team

Ended up using his abilities against you which sent you flying

Landed on a sharp object which impaled your heart

The SK realised what he's done and rushed over to you feeling nothing but guilt and remorse

Your team arrived by your side as they tried to contain the SK

His guilt developed into rage and went on a rampage, blaming everyone else for your death

Your team got back to the foundation for safety and told them what happened

Sent 343 and 2845 for some help which was difficult as the SK already has his power heightened

Doesn't take long until the whole foundation is destroyed with a few remaining SCPs left

Yandere!231 x Evil!Reader

Would know in an instant

Only because he felt the need to punish and torture you so he read your mind

Found out that you were working for an organisation that seeks to destroy all anomalies with the exception of you

Turns out that you had an ability to create illusions and a shield as you let him into your mind

You only allowed him to read a part of your memory which was partially an illusion

You managed to trap him into a cage where his power is greatly reduced

The GOI you were actually working for was the Factory which had seemingly created you

As you fled back to the Factory, the Scarlet King barely managed to escape his cage and went out to look for you

Turned most of the foundation into his puppets just so he has more eyes around the globe in search of you

Your cunningness and abilities are what made him drawn so much to you that even he was tricked which made his obsession for you even worse

Trying McDonald's Sprit

May or may not know about some human foods

Knows a tiny bit about them because of his brides

Took a while to bribe him to have a taste of Sprite

Even attempted to use some of the slang in his sentences

Like, he even said "Oh so you simp for McDonald's Sprite"

At least his sentence was much better than a certain old man (*Ahem* Not 106)

Had a sip before you took it away

Ended up teleporting you back for some more

Gave him the look of 'I told you so'

Since he did try the Sprite and liked it, you allowed him to watch a human movie called "Venom" (BTW have y'all seen the second one? It's AMAZING!!!)

When his kid swears (I'm so sorry that this is like one of the shorter HCs)

Definitely the one who taught his kid

Would be a proud dad when they do swear

Would even encourage the behaviour despite numerous complaints about it

The Scarlet King would teach them fancier words as well

One time the Foundation had to have a word with the SK because his kid swore non stop even though they didn't understand the meaning

When you were back with him he made sure you actually understood each of the curse words

Is basically like 682 but X100

When Child!Reader scares him

Being the child of the Scarlet King, you would inherit his abilities

And since your father cares about you deeply, he would mentor you when it comes to your abilities

So with that said, you were able to master being a cheeky and mischievous child

You constantly pulled pranks, but it was more directed towards the brides, your half-siblings and the foundation

Fortunately for them, someone was able to bribe you to prank the Scarlet King in exchange for giving you some food to try

You decided to pull a prank on the SK by asking him to play hide and seek

He couldn't resist those eyes, even when he was in the middle of torturing/killing someone

So he agreed to play, only for him to fall for your traps

Everyone heard a deafening scream coming out from somewhere as they saw the SK teleport the both of you to the foundation

Since the foundation got hold of what had happened, they laughed but not before being yeeted at by the SK

Even 'God' was enjoying the show

When the reader pole/aerial silk dances

The SK is the one who sexualises the dances

If he hears anyone sexualising it, especially about you, then he would kill them off in an instant without hesitation

Most likely would initiate some activities during and after your private show with him

Would send everyone out of his territory, assuming he wasn't in the Foundation

And if you both were, he would teleport you both away

Has attempted to try out your dances because you're a cheeky person who's a tease

Failed miserably because he doesn't know how to move them legs

Having a Pregnant!S/O

Would be even more protective over you than usual

The SK would tend to avoid letting others care for you unless he needed to go somewhere

If he had to, he'd leave you with his brides and/or create some sort of security for you

Definitely would baby talk while rubbing your swollen belly

Tries to avoid it when there are others around

But the brides managed to capture him baby talking and sent it to the foundation for entertainment purposes

The foundation is quite shocked about it since the SK is a literal demon

But they're entertained nonetheless

When you tried to commit suicide

Has a stroke because the Scarlet King is so used to being insensitive

Managed to get there on time before you actually start

Goes into your mind to find out if anyone was making you feel that way

If there was, he'll go up to them and kill them in an instant

Not before torturing them beforehand though

Definitely would try to comfort you in the strangest of ways

Ending up getting the brides to help him out and teach him how to comfort someone

The last time he tried to comfort you, he ended up getting a bloody nose, broken wing and lost 1 of his precious horns and he swore he heard the sirens for an upcoming apocalypse

When the reader is a type green possessive reality-bender

512890% would help you improve on your abilities

Took a while but you managed to grasp the concept of reality-bending

You also became rather attached to the Scarlet King

Since you weren't able to fully control your abilities, your emotions tend to drive your powers in a certain direction

So with that being said, whenever you see the SK with his brides, your jealousy gets the better of you

Which would then cause you to unleash your abilities at them

Not only that, you managed to intimidate the SK quite a bit

Had to use his powers to get you to stop but felt that you were getting stronger every second

When you're about to be executed | Yandere!Scarlet King x D-Class!reader

Would be as furious as ever

Definitely manages to find you quite easily

The Scarlet King would take you to an unknown location far away from the foundation and the rest of the world

The foundation definitely knows what had happened so they asked 343 for some help

343 being on the brink of death when he's faced with the Scarlet King because he's just that old

The Scarlet King plotting to end the whole world but decided to go against it because he wants to see everyone suffer painfully and slowly

Unless you just so happened to be an anomaly that the foundation hadn't realised and is just as if not more powerful than the SK, then it's unlikely that you'll be able to get out easily

Unless 343and the foundation managed to find a way to retrieve you

But either way, there's a chance of you dying

Knowing the Scarlet King, he would probably find a way to prolong your lifespan while keeping you in his 'home'

Not even the brides and his children can help

When you curl up in his lap | Yandere!Scarlet King

Would find you adorable

If anyone disturbs you while you're on his lap sleeping, then he would kick them out

The SK would definitely stroke your hair and/or back while you're on his lap

Is weak to the knees because you're that cute

Doesn't really care how cheesy it is

The brides tease him a lot but he doesn't do anything about it because you looked so peaceful and cute

Most likely would wrap an arm around you protectively

If anyone in the foundations sees, then the SK would threaten them to not tell anyone

Probably would either kill the staff or erase their memories if he's in a good mood

When you kiss his neck

Loves it dearly

Would vocalise his appreciation about you kissing his neck

The SK would probably lead you to the bedroom for more cute activities

Probably would blush even harder than before, even more so if everyone is there to witness it

The brides had to leave the room because the SK said so

Would use his magical powers for certain activities

If you try hard enough to tease him, there might be a rare occasion for you to top him (If you know what I mean *Wink* *Wink*)

Tries to not be too loud so he would probably grunt or sigh

If you're on his lap his arms would be around you tightly

Would do anything if you stop kissing his neck because he likes it that much, even though he could literally manhandle you

When his child gets hurt

Would be quite furious

Is determined to find whoever hurt his child

If his child hurt themselves by accident he would cry with and for the child

The child would be so confused

Would ask the brides for some emotional support when helping his injured child

Basically, the brides are babysitting his child

If someone did hurt them, the Scarlet King would hunt them down

Depending on how serious the issue is, he might even threaten to end the whole of humanity and maybe even the whole world

If there are things neither he nor his brides could do, the SK would reluctantly go to see 343

343 be chuckling while he tends to his child

He swore to secrecy that the SK hadn't come and see him because of a child

When you have a bad day

Because his powers are similar to 343, he would definitely know in an instant

Like you could be 2000 miles away and he would know

Telepathically finds out whoever's making your day go downhill if there was one

Goes out of his way to torture then kill the guy and send his corpse back to the foundation as a warning

Then erase him from existence

Would go to you and comfort you

If you needed anything, he would give it to you since it wouldn't be that hard at all

Is terrible at comforting you emotionally, but he's still learning

Constantly asking the brides for some advice

They would comfort you and show the Scarlet King how it's done because the last time they told him and gave him a guide, he ended up burning someone's apartment block instead

Just wanted to say thank you so much for all the brainworms you have been giving me and my friends for the past few hours about Ayin and all the analyses you've been doing about him.

I have been losing my mind in the middle of the night thinking about all the things you've said, turning it over like crazy and trying to compare it with the gameplay I've had of Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina.

Please do more analysis and share more of your ideas! Please? Please, with cherry on top? Please, I beg of you?

Especially if you have in-depth ideas of analyses for the Sephirah and how it relates to both their own characters and Ayin and Angela.

i DO have shit on the sephirah but mostly netzach, because i love netzach, and i in fact found my discord ramble about him (and chesed)

i dont have things on how they relate to A and Angela specifically because I mainly kept thinking abt Reverbaration Ensemble parallels... i have so many thoughs abt Netzach and Bremen.

(but if you want me to talk about, say, a specific core supression, or floor realization... i have a lot of thoughts on floor realizations.)

quick ramble abt lor again but i love the ensemble receptions so much. i'm at chesed's rn, and i know he's been chill the entire game, but him just refusing to comment on jae-hoon's tragedy seems, out of context, a dick move, but also is so important for chesed to do? he recognizes that another's suffering is not related to him, that he can't do anything about it, and that this is fine. The closest i'd describe chesed in lobcorp would be "activist burnout." Due to betraying the lab from garion's pressure, chesed was so consumed by guilt, he just blamed himself for everything and became more callous because it's already his fault, right? There's nothing he can do. But in lor, he knows what his responsibilities are, and allows himself joy where he can find it. I love the ensemble receptions bcuz they are just examplary of each patron libriarian's growth and i iqbfjc (sobs)

also have to salute netzach for carrying his scene all by himself as the musicians of bremen just (animal noises) :pray:

thinking abt netzach's scene where he doesn't talk to bremen, because he can't, but recognizes this who has not only lost themself in their own art but also their own suffering

i just i love netzach so much his entire character arc is abt learning to live with depression and learning to want to live again

so he becomes unable to understand, really, why someone would sacrifice themselves for their own art

when he started out just, similar yet different from bremen, completely submerged in his own misery

musicians of bremen reminds me i still have bremen bon bons at home i should eat those. they r tasty /end]

i wanna specifically dig into this scene more because i love that scene, a lot.

Art as we get to know it in the City is irrevocably tied to violence. Puppets are made of human bodies, music is played on bones and sinews. To the artists of the City, to create art is to make someone suffer. Rewatching Netzach's story bits, Roland describes it as doing nothing but seeking stimulation and being provocative.

Furthermore, there is a direct comparison between art and alcohol. To paraphrase more, the Pianist must've been one hell of a stimulant, like getting hit by a strong booze. A performance some are still hungover from.

Netzach's main struggle was addiction because of depression, and his growing appreciation for art is a continuation of that arc. He says himself that art and alcohol are linked.

However, alcohol is a step down from hard drugs. Netzach hasn't quit, but just that step down shows he learned moderation, which makes me very proud of him.

Moderation is what the other.. let's just call them artists, lack. I said in the screencaps above, initially, Netzach was lost in his own suffering, and the musicians of bremen are lost in their art. And if art is seen as equal to suffering, that just means Netzach and Bremen are more similar than expected. (Especially considering what we see of the musicians previously; they’re always trying to chase the same high they experienced listening to the Pianist by any means necessary. The addiction parallels are not suprising.)

I rewatched most of Netzach's lor scenes, and what rlly gets me is that in his first one, he seems almost the exact same as in lobcorp. He doesn't want to work, he got dragged into this against his will, he feels as if his accomplishments are futile.

But! He eventually invites Roland for drinks. He's not drinking to forget alone anymore, he's doing it as social activity. Furthermore, the more time he spends as Patron Librarian of Arts, the more he grows to appreciate art. Art is tied to suffering, still, but it is an expression of suffering. It does not produce any. Or should not, in any case. He sure wishes it wouldn’t.

So we arrive at his Ensemble Reception. This one makes a rather interesting comparison: art as the pursuit of the light. Let me elaborate.

To quote, “Honestly, I wanna tell people to stop doing the kind of art that requires ‘em to immolate themselves and others. Although, on the other hand... I can kinda see where they’re coming from. Art narrows your vision, after all.

You stop caring about the things around you. That’s how most artists seem to act, I think. And so, you indulge in the craft, not realizing that you’re throwing yourself and your surroundings into the fire you started.”

I pose this: Netzach speaks of his experience as Giovanni. Giovanni was a researcher who, when push came to shove, willingly sacrificed himself to advance the project, in hopes of seeing the light, seeing Carmen, again.

Though he dislikes Bremen’s actions, he does not judge them for it, because he recognized that it would be hypocritical. Even so, what shows that he’s grown is that he.. doesn’t want to see people harm themselves anymore. The focus here isn’t if Bremen hurt other people, which they have, but how much of themselves they’ve given up for their performance. He condemns the act, and not the people.

“If I can see that light once more... If I have to muster up the courage to reach it, I’ll gladly do it. It’s easier said than done, though; you need a lot of fearlessness for it.

And I guess you saw the same kind of light I was so desperate to see, yeah? Even if yours was a twisted creature... [...] Though, I don’t think I can tell you off like the others. At least I can see the reason behind it.”

He even explicitly mentions the light. The funny thing is, both Giovanni and Bremen tried to reach the Seed of Light, and Carmen. It’s tragically hilarious that we know Carmen is the voice the Distortions hear.

Hell, the more I think about it, the more you can just compare the Ensemble as a whole to the Outskirts Lab crew, down to Angelica’s puppet body and Carmen’s desecrated corpse.

“And I know pretty well that we have no right to devilishly pick apart each other’s way of art. I’m not very proud of mine, really...”

Netzach just.. gets it. I can’t remember atm, but I don’t think the other Patron Librarians really draw parallels like that. I’m seeing all the parallels now and I can’t unsee them ever. Bro.

His “art,” his way of protecting the light, is still violent. But he sees that perhaps it didn’t have to be, or rather shouldn’t be. I fucking love Netzach so much. His arc just means a lot to me personally, and I’d wager a lot of people who’ve struggled with mental illness would agree.

I’m not gonna get into Netzach’s floor realization here because this post is already long enough, but like, look at the specific flashback of Angela shown in Netzach’s story bits and contrast it to his arc of learning to want to live, and. Yeah.

ok heres a VERY BIG POST of the highlights of my island !! which. i am constantly adding to and rearranging so some of this is.....already outdated, BUT

welcome to the Gumdrop Island Virtual Tour !! ive chilled out a lot more about letting people in (apparently only best friends can use shovels/axes so the. risk of people fucking with things and stealing my flowers is less than i thought) so if u wanna come visit sometime hmu

i know it is not easter anymore but i have yet to find a fence as cute as the egg fence so i cant bring myself to take them down

tom nook poster would probably look better in my other room but he is very important so i havent had the heart to move him out of the living room yet

my kitchen/tea room which has defied all attempts to organize it thus far

this is going to be a long-ass post i am so sorry to Everyone! i take a lot of notes.

So, as You specifically know (as well as all of my lovely Soggers) I take a LOT of notes. Obsessively. I write fucking everything bc i have very little memory and very much paranoia. This results in literal Piles of notes. Raw planning, on paper, on my phone– doodles of scenes im brainstorming, bulletpoints, entire SCRIPTS– it’s all there but scattered (I’ve got scenes planned in the margins of my goddamn anthropology notes and deciphering it was a NIGHTMARE)

I won’t even upload all the photos of my writing notebook, because itd be like 50 pages of illegible nonesense. but heres a couple of planning phase pages. (may be hard to read, I dropped this notebook both into some tidepools, into a creek on campus, and accidentally leaked my waterbottle onto it in my backpack :/)

if you can’t tell already, yes they all look exactly like this. Some are even more illegible, because I wrote them with the notebook half under my actual class notes. Because i wrote most of them in class. During lectures. And pretending very badly that i was not doing exactly that. (pay attention in class please i got away with this bc i was filling up elective units)

I’m also flat out MISSING a large portion of my notes bc some of it? isnt even in the damn notebook. its on a sheet of binder paper, or on the empty back of an assignment. I’ve now lost most of those notes, but the ones i do still have are just as (even more, actually) indecipherable chicken scratch:

and this doesnt mention the PAGES and PAGES of outlines that are on my laptop, and the pages of outlined scenes that are on the notes app of my phone. if i put them all, you would have entire chapter spoilers up to the very end of the story so i cant post a lot of them– and also theres just a goddamn lot of them. currently i have 16 pages of outlining. There are no spacing breaks. It is a solid 16 page block of text. Looking at it gives me a migraine.

some assorted notes which i have dredged up from the deleted parts of the main draft google doc go all the way back to when i started Wror in June and they are Barely more readable than my handwriting on sheer account of: articulation is not my strength. These include:

“Ch 8 plan: sabo gets trained specially, awakens his armament haki, beats ace in a bunch of spars and proves himself to be anything but vulnerable. The boys are like “we fucking recognize that technique ryu taught you before us!!” and goad ryu into finally starting them both on basic haki training, just to awaken it, since sabo already has. Also this is the chapter that ace finally confronts ryu for his devil fruit after ryu confirms that some devil fruit users can’t be hurt without haki and ace immediately catches onto that and tries to slam his pipe through ryus head. It doesn’t work, ryu catches the weapon with a haki covered hand, to avoid turning to flame with hit and ace just gets frustrated and accuses ryu of hiding his devil fruit, because he remembers what he saw in grey terminal and that now that he has seen haki he can distinguish it from what he saw and he’s sure no one could do what ryu did. He calls ryu a hypocrite for coddling them even after telling them to stop coddling sabo and ryu has to sit them down and explain that yes he does have powers and he has been hdiing it and explains his reasoning. However instead of understanding th eboys just get fired up and say they don’t wnt to be scared of fire, especially not when it means ryu isn’t taking them seriously in a spar. Ryu finally agrees to start them on desensitization training for fire trauma. Fire desensitization training happens on the beach, so that they have water nearby in case things get out of hand. At some point ace gives ryu a considering look and is just like “if you have a devil fruit that means you can’t swim either right?” and ryu is basically just like “lmao yeah” and then ace immediately attempts to drown him. Lots of murder attempts in ace’s department toget his older brother to be less of an idiot with little success lol(extra: ace tried to attack ryu earlier both to confirm that ryu has a devil fruit that would force him to use haki to hide it, and because he now knows that he CAN’T hurt ryu without haki and as thus can’t beat him and make him admit he’s awake without being good at haki.)” [chapter 8]

“Small sabo lost his hat and goggles in the incident and while he doesn’t remember having them future sabo notices he looks uncomfortable and keeps touching his hair and head. Ace yells at him for it thinking he bandaging are bothering him and that he can’t touch them but little sabo just comments that something about it feels wrong. Luffy blurts our that he had a hat, like luffy does, But he doesn’t now ace begrudgingly mentions that they can’t get a new one in town. Future sabo doesn’t even hesitate and just plops his own hat onto his younger selves head. It clearly too big for him, and almost falls over his eyes but he grins up at future sabo and is like “wow!! Thank you! I’ll take care of it till I have one of my own” and creates a paradox like Luffys own hat. The footsteps younger sabo has yet to fill. This HAS to happen AFTER the talk where they explain that future and past sabo are both the same person, to give little sabo that pressure.” [chapter 9]

“(Right after this older sabo takes them down to the ocean so that they can play a little and desensitize themselves and immediately fucks himself over when he goes weak in the water bc he somehow fucking forgot his own devil fruit again and now even younger sabo is on his case about not letting him near the fucking ocean that little goddamn HYPOCRITE—) )” [for chapter 9]

“Ch 9 plan: they finally leave dawn island. Starts with the boys getting a haircut after training and luffy mentions how long it’s been since they’ve last needed a haircut, giving sabo and ace time to point out that it’s been 2 months now since ryu joined them, and that sabo was completely healed by now. The boys are now aware of the basics of haki, and while luffy hasnt awakened either yet ace and sabo both have a little bit of weak armament haki. (sabo won’t awaken observational haki until he gets his memories back) ryu tries to sneak off into the city to steal a boat but his brothers refuse to leave him behind and keep sneaking out after him, not wanting him to go alone and saying that since he’s been training them they’re clearly stronger and he needs to let them do this. Ryu eventually just lets it go because why the fuck not it’s a dream and they make him feel better. They get the boat out on open ocean and finally fucking sail out, cheering loudly, ryu struggling to make them all calm down but also not really trying. He’s happy as shit, and they’re all so excited and happy and sabo dips a hand into the waves and then smiles so fucking wide and tackles ryu so violently they both nearly tip into the water and it’s just very very good. “ [also for ch 9]

** I flat out dont Have any outlining from before chapter 6, because i only started actually outling chapters after that. i tend to just sit down and Write up until i hit a plot point or writers block and then am forced to actually think it through and plan rather than letting it come naturally. thats also why the quality and editing is better in later chapters despite everything being written within the same time frame.

besides entire chapter outlines, there are the scene specific phone notes like:

“(ADDED) Right after they leave dawn, when sabo is sure they’ve gotten enough of a head start, he calls Garp. He doesn’t say who he is, but that all of the boys are safe and happy with him and has them all talk into the phone to assure him that they’re fine. Garp is honestly just pissed off he doesn’t know who’s calling and when he asks sabo just laughs and says a disobedient brat before hanging up. “

“(ADDED) TO EXPAND ON CH 3: sabo gets offered the chance to go with dragon, and he hesitates on the offer to go through with his previous life with the family he’s made in the revolutionary again. He almost agrees, because the bought of losing them in this lifetime is near excruciating but reminds himself swiftly that it’s no place for his brothers and not what they’d really want, and he wants selfishly to be with them as long as he Can until he “inevitably” wakes up. The boys are visibly relieved by this, especially ace. (Sabo gets asked who he is by dragon, who wants to know more about the stranger with his son, but dragon has always been quicker to make connections no one guessed and he just smiled knowingly at sabo and tells him he’s sure the other will have no trouble finding them if he’s in need. Sabo in turn warns him to keep Kuma close, and to look for a slave girl named koala.)”

finally, i have scene doodles. if i hit a bad writers block it usually helps me to sketch scenes or the character designs to regain my grip on what the hell is happening in the plot– Breach of Intention has character design sketches, pakcbond has MANY scene sketches, even some of my nsfw has some sketches. my wror skecthes arent Good of course, I am an art teacher for children and that means i am more often explaining the color wheel and brush techniques over drawing perfect human replicas– and i just dont really make a lot of fanart? ive never drawn sabo before but i sure have a bunch now. i wont include close ups because they genuinely suck but heres an example pic

"This looks really promising," I thought. He asked to exchange personal email addresses and send additional photos of each other. The match was off to an exciting start. I chalked up the poor grammar to his foreign native language.

Here are a couple of excerpts from Mark Rossi

"My old friend and pastor would tell me, if you aren't ready to feel or look stupid, then don't fall in love ,lol but sincerely that is the bitter truth. When i lost my wife , he told me that the fact that something good ends doesn't mean something better cant start. Can you prove that right? I have come to realize that let a man is reduced to nothing except he has a woman to call my companion.

I don't need a super model, I rather need a very good friend, a good woman with a good heart, someone who knows when i am tensed just by looking into my eyes. The whole world may be mad at me, but if you are smiling at me, i would care less. Can't wait to read from you again dear.I wish you have a wonderful evening ahead.Till I read from you again soon, sending you morning hugs."

It all sounded great. But...

But I was asking him specific questions like how it was that he was located out of Bedford, Kentucky? And if Italian was his first language? The name of his business? But he never really answered those questions.

After a week or so the first shoe drops!

"I have been so busy today because something came up and i have to travel tonight to Dubai for a week, i was contacted by the customs there to come over to sign some confirmation papers because some security protocol was breached by the shipper during the shipment of my cars and some incomplete paperwork from Germany. The cars are 16 in total, a total of 4 - 20ft container consisting of 4 cars in each.

The plan was to ship down to Dubai, talk to a dealership and move them for sale. We can always communicate everyday through emails and phone until i get back home, I promise to keep in touch and seeing you would be top priority on my return.

This could be the beginning of forever and i would put my mind to it and i want you to also. please have a good evening, i would talk to you soon , please leave me your phone number.

So, what was so bothersome about this?

The delay did not bother me at all because I wasn't so sure I was ready to meet him anyway. What bothered me is that there was no traceof an Italian accent in his voice during our phone conversation -- despite the fact that he was supposedly raised in Italy until the age of 12.

I asked him again why he was based out of Kentucky, but I was not satisfied with the answer as he only spoke to getting out of Florida after his wife's death.

Put on Your Investigator Hat!

Being the savvy investigator that I was, (wink, wink) I decided to check him out online.

The only Mark Rossi my google search found in Bedford, Kentucky looked nothing like my Mark. The guy was the wrong age, very scruffy looking and it was a mug shot.

Well, that can't be him. So, I checked in California where he supposedly first lived and I checked in Florida. A little voice in me said that he might not be who he says he is. But, I decided to play it out, see where it led. Maybe he was just a really great guy.

Gullible? Yes, a bit!

I asked him to send me photos of himself in Dubai (to see if he is really there). Also, I decided I wanted to re-read his online profile as I could not remember everything on it.

After all, if I wanted to be the last love of Mark Rossi, I better double-check on what he actually had said about himself. But, the profile had been removed from the online dating site. (Not a healthy sign.)

What Happened to Mark's Online Dating Profile?

Mark wrote:

"It was a Lovely day in Dubai and a pretty warm weather.

For your questions, I moved to Bedford to start a new life and create new memories with a new love and companion on a long term, someone i can love forever because i am commited to it and i am focusing on you alone now thats why took off my profile from match.com to ensure i can bring out the best of the relationship we have.

This busines has been lucrative since i started and thats why i invested a lot in this because its my last business trip before i retire to bring 16 cars in to sell at once to the dealership, i have two Porsche and four Ferrari among them , i wanna get into retirement because the income i get from this would establish me more and i would have agents to run this without leaving the house, my motive is to always be there for my companion, life is short m this is my last opportunity to be in love and i want to seize it .

I really dont have time for phone cameras now because this is business trip and i dont want jeopardize it for pleasure my next trip here has to be a vacation with my companion and lover and i see you as the one to occupy that position."

Mark is pretty smooth, isn't he?

The next day, I had notice of a security breach on my iCloud account and I had to reset the code. (Never really sure whether he had anything to do with this or not.)

The emails and text messages continued with romantic language and details of how the trip was going, etc. Then, the news! Mark was not going to fly home from Dubai, but instead was going to fly right into Kansas City.

Mark was Flying in to See Me!

He wrote:

"My One and Only, I am about to sleep here. Tomorrow will be a long day for me I have to get every paper work cleared and have things back on track for the full release of all my shipments so i get to deal with the dealership that buys them before leaving for the states, can't wait as it's been a long week already.

I think of spending alot of time with you when I get back to town and holding you so close to me. Whenever you think of me, please know that no matter how many miles separate us or how much of our lives comes between us we would have many lovely times and fond memories.

Even though we're apart, this will not be the end of our commitment until i meet you and i fell you in my arms.

Just always remember that I really adore you already and I want you to be part of me and me for you too as i can feel my lonely days are over.

When I first got the itinerary, I thought

Wow, he must be for real. He has booked a flight! Now what do I do?

I needed advice. I was excited that he might be for real but scared as to how to handle the situation if he actually showed up. Should I offer to pick him up at the airport? Should I suggest or book a hotel? Or, do I invite him to the house? What do I wear?

So, I contacted a couple of friends.

My sister-in-law recommended online dating and she has had considerable experience. So, I asked her.

She gave me good online dating advice.

NO, you do not pick him up at the airport. You meet in a public place.

No, you do not invite him to the house. You do not even tell him where you live when you meet through online dating. If he is an international business man, he can book his own hotel and get from the airport to the hotel on his own steam!

Why don't you meet someone local? If a guy sounds too good to be true, it is probably because he isn't real -- he's a fake!

It didn't sound very hospitable for someone who is traveling thousands of miles to see me, but I realized she made sense.

I contacted another friend with the good news and sent her a copy of the itinerary to prove that he was really coming to see me.

We agreed to meet over lunch the next day since this online dating encounter was heating up. My friend decided she needed to comb through my wardrobe to figure out whether I had anything suitable to wear. We are both excited and nervous. Then ...

The Bubble Burst!

The next morning, I awoke to an email from Mark:

"My love, I have been asleep all afternoon in stumble and distress. it had been a bad day. I don't know how to say it but i just have to say it as it would ease the burden.

I was robbed on my way to the seaport at gunpoint this morning, it was the worst experience i ever had. i am sorry I didn't mean to show you this so you don't feel bad or spoil your day but i just couldn't hold it in my heart, i had to email it to you. Please download and view document, its a police report of today's event."

I bet you can figure out where this is going? Right? Well within an hour or so, Mark texted me further about his plight and I offered him my prayers.

That is not what Mark wanted.

He texted "The paperwork would finalize the major dealings here and I would be back home as planned and right now I need 2900USD to solve this problem within the next 24hours. So far no one is able to help me out. I am devastated."

After some more back and forth he said:

"Honey is there anyway you can give me a short loan and when I return on Monday I would pay you back, I can double it for you. I feel so ashamed of myself asking you. I never wanna creat a wrong impression. I just wanna get out of this mess. Deadline got me so worried."

What a load of crap!

I asked him why he didn't just call his bank and get them to wire the funds to him. And, how could it be that he, an international business entrepreneur, had no one at his age of 62 who he could call besides a lady he had never even met? He had an answer for everything.

I told him I would have to think about that.

It took me about a minute to decide.

That was it. Mark had finally revealed the real reason that he had contacted me thru online dating in the first place. The gig was up. He called a few more times, but I did not take the calls. And my wardrobe make over could wait. The take away is this --

You need to meet someone in person, if you want to have any hope of knowing who they are. Otherwise, you only know what the online dating profile says and what they want you to know. a) They might still be hiding something that would be very obvious if you were to meet them in person. b) Some people have long distance relationships with what turns out to be a fantasy. The person is not what they think.

Do a little research to find out about a person who might make a potential match from an online dating service as soon as you have a name. Try doing a search on your own name. It is surprising how much you can find out yourself that is actually out there and available if someone searches for it. a) Although it never occurred to me at the time, Mark Rossi probably was the guy in the mug shot. I just had never in my wildest dreams guessed that someone would go to the lengths that he did to perpetrate a fraud. b) The flight itinerary looked authentic at first glance. Reading it more carefully, KNS is not the symbol for Kansas City International. The symbol is MCI. When I checked the flight numbers through the airline, they do not exist. So, what looked real was just a fake. If Mark (or whoever he was) had used his skills for something positive there is no telling how successful he might have become.

Be real when you put together an online profile. I was advised, for instance, not to list myself as a widow. But, to say that I was divorced instead. The premise is that gold diggers are looking for a recent widow because they think she probably has life insurance money. But I really would rather keep my radar up than start off by presenting myself as different from who I really am. I have met gentlemen that have shaved a few years off themselves in their profiles, probably this is true with ladies too. You don't want or need to tell them everything, but whatever you do say in the profile of yourself, I would try to be honest. You want to find someone who likes YOU -- not an image of someone you wish you were or someone you think is more desirable.

Have fun with online dating! Don't take yourself too seriously. If you are sitting home alone and would rather be in a relationship; if you want someone to share a meal or a drink with you, if you want to find your own "last love" go online and meet someone.
