You have any general headcanons for Nemona?

Admittedly I don’t have much to say that I haven’t already talked about but I’ll give it a shot anyway :)

- Nemona is autistic, battling is her special interest, and though she is blissfully unaware of this, her lackluster grasp of social cues and general forwardness makes her struggle a lot to make friends despite being objectively the friendliest person in the cast

- She is physically disabled— she is constantly fatigued and has some more extensive damage to her arm— and she needs the brace to deal with muscle spasms and chronic pain. Her Pawmi is a service pokémon for that purpose. Using that pokémon in battle was a small act of rebellion, and serves as a testament to how readily she’ll take what is given to her and alter it to suit her needs

- Her parents quickly realized that she would not be well served in the family business and focus all their attention on her sister. Nemona has a lot of mixed feelings about this

- Nemona has a bit of a complex about her lack of physical ability, and a kind of warped understanding about achievements because of how naturally gifted she is. She worked super hard to become a top class battler and studies hard for her grades, and hasn’t really internalized that some things are unachievable for reasons outside of people’s control

- She has tied a lot of her value to her accomplishments and as such overworks herself. While she doesn’t recognize it in herself just yet, she ties the praise she gets for a job well done with being liked, and as such chases being good at things and useful as a way to make friends / be valued. She doesn’t apply this framework to others, as many do, but genuinely fears that a loss of ability or quitting something would have disastrous social consequences

- Very blunt, and has been portrayed by others as mean or condescending because of the straightforward way she talks to others. Her status as rich and a champion do not help this

- Extremely caring, extremely nice, and has zero idea of how to comfort people. By god she will try and by GOD she will fail

Making a Nemona based character, any Quirks based on the Pawmi line?

I see it working as a Mutant type Quirk that alters the user's hairs, causing them to grow out into fur and turn them yellow. This fur builds up a static charge, shocking anyone the user comes into contact with, similar to a taser. The user can build up this static charge by moving their body, specifically against themselves or other static surfaces like a rug or electrical wiring. The user can try to store this electric fur for extended periods and charge the hair through specific points to make it stick up. The user can control whether or not the effect is activated. The user can pull off this hair and throw out people for a crude-ranged option. This gives the user a decent mix of combat options, shocking anyone who gets close to them. They can shock people that try to hit them, augment their close-quarters abilities, lay out their hair as traps, focus the electricity into parts for greater damage, or simply enjoy their soft fur. Though the user can activate this by accident through contact with people and objects, especially if they build up too much. The user will need to care for the fur by brushing and washing it and will need to build it up for stronger attacks. A possible name for the Quirk could be "Static".

It's been a while since I've been in my evil cloning lair. I decided to stop in for old times sake and found some shiny Electabuzz helping themselves to the remaining energy stored in my evil inventions. A family of shiny Magmar seemed to have made their nest inside my old evil kitchen as well. Pokeballs are the best form of pest control in this universe!

To receive a shiny Magmar and shiny Electabuzz, simply deposit a Wooloo or Pawmi that's nicknamed For Wolf onto Pokemon HOME's GTS system.

You may redeposit if you were sniped.

All of these shinies came from my PoGO account and then were re-caught in Let's Go! Eevee. Game-locking your deposit to Let's Go! only will decrease your chance of being sniped.

Good gods abound, today was hectic. Nemona was quite the rival for me and suitably trounced me in my rematch with her at the gates. Which was... a learning experience. I only have two Pokemon, and she managed to come at me not just with four of them instead, but a very potent Tera Orb shift for her Pawmi. Terastalization is quite the jump in power.

It was an eye-opener. One I'm actually rather grateful for. It also allowed me to explore the city of Mesagoza with renewed attention, and find a group of teenage students harassing another. Team Star, they called themselves.

I was the one that did the trouncing this time. Losing is quite a learning experience. And Nemona even had the foresight to "fast-track" me to getting my own Tera Orb. Sashelas was suitably capable of slamming down his opponent, and the young girl I stepped in for seemed... grateful. Quiet, but grateful.

What followed was being told of three specific situations.

Arven was... much more eager to kiss up to me in school this afternoon. Which led to him effectively forcing his little "ingredient search" idea upon me. Now... I am very interested in specialized ingredients. I'm an alchemist. Herba Mystica have my attention. But he does not. He's a rather two-faced little cretin in my eyes, but he's also clearly desperate. I'll play along. For now.

Nemona expressed designs to have me learn battling more professionally, and I can't deny the prospect seems interesting. Victory Road, as she called it, can lead me to becoming Champion Rank. If even children can reach it, it doesn't seem to have any additional responsibilities I shouldn't expect just "being strong" would lead to, but. We'll see.

Someone named Cassiopeia "hacked" my phone. Barney wasn't all that fond of losing control, so I assume it's a form of bodily manipulation for him. This was alarming enough, but it's clear this person needs help in clearing out this problematic Team Star. The Director more than likely overheard the conversation, though, as his wording following was... unsettlingly direct.

As it stands, I am now in my dorm room. I have nighttime classes to clear through each day, which is quite refreshing! It gives me time during the day to figure out how to deal with these three...

Caring for your Pokemon: Pawmot Line

Getting into some newer Pokemon, it's Pawmot! Since I have Pads traveling with me (very interesting way that he evolved, even I was surprised) I am able to study the line closely.

Pawmi are very tiny Pokemon, only being 1'00" in height, so be careful when you're walking places as you might not be paying attention to where you're going (when you have a Joltik that you take care of, I thankfully wasn't too worried.) I would advise carrying it on your shoulder as it makes travel easier for everyone, but be careful of the electricity, you could get shocked accidentally and while not harmful, does hurt. They're learning how to control their electricity so please do be kind to them.

Pawmo has a little bit more control in their electricity, and can use some fighting skills to boot, throwing punches and then shocking afterwards, a very interesting strategy. They rush headlong into battle and don't make the best choices when doing so, so I advise working on battle tactics with other fighting types such as Gallade or Toxicroak, depending on how you want the fighting style to be.

Now Pawmot is MUCH bigger than it's pre-evolutions, so no more carrying it on your shoulder unless you want to have constant back pain. Getting your Pawmot to stop wanting to be carried is difficult work, and they certainly will be grumpy with you, but it let's them be more independent (I advise starting in the Pawmo stage for better results.) As for battle, they are much faster and stronger than before, and can deliver lighting fast punches in a matter of seconds. Notice what fighting styles they have learned, and attempt to enhance them, as well as work on weaknesses. With this, you will have a close bond with your partner Pokemon.

Whew! That's a lot! With another electric type it makes me miss Fuzzbutt, though I hear I should be able to grab him soon. I do miss the little guy, and he'll have a new friend to be with.

Alright so the official trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is here! Kind of late with this I know, but I just wanted to look up some information on the official Pokemon website before hand I have to say I’m still team Sprigatito at the moment. It just looks so cute. I like the fact that they’re really starting to go more all in with the version differences by even giving us two different professors. I have to say I don’t have a huge preference for either professor although I like the violet’s color scheme. THE BLACK HAIRSTYLES ARE FIRE! PLEASE LET US BE ABLE TO CHOOSE THEM FROM THE START GAMEFREAK. The idea of doing co-op in the fully open world sounds really cool, I’ll be curious to see how it plays out.  One thing that was mentioned on the website is that you don’t have to follow the game in any specific order, which is something I really liked. It’s bring back gen 1 vibes where you had a lot of control on how you did the story, except this time they’re doing even more which I appreciate Also, Nemona! I’m glad the main rival this time is a female! I love how on the website they mentioned that while she’s undeniably a skilled trainer she sucks at throwing Pokeballs. That’s honestly such a relatable moment They new pokemon they showed were cute, definitely a fan of Pawmi the most. Then the legendaries...honestly the best looking pair we’ve gotten since XY in my opinion. I love Miraidon’s color scheme but honestly I think I’ll have to go with Scarlet for Koraidon because I just love feathered snakes Finally, all of the trailer really gives me the impression that time travel may be involved with this game which would be a really cool concept! I’m honestly excited to hear more about this game!

Whole my goal is to be a grass type gym leader, in the meantime I'm working for catch and release pest control. Which, I know what you're thinking, "Sylvie, doesn't pest control handle mainly bug, flying, and poison types? Isn't that miserable as a grass type trainer?" and the answer is yes. Yes it is. My boss won't even pay for potions or revives. I had to catch a pawmi last week, in the hopes that he'll evolve and learn revival blessing. I started this post to complain, but honestly, I love my pawmi. His name is Applesauce and if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.

POKEMON SCARLET LIVEBLOG!!!! part 1

Spent a loooong time just dicking around in character creation. Pretty happy with how Fani came out, sad that I didn't like any of the freckles on her.
