Upon docking, a series of verification protocols are initiated, confirming the integrity of the connection and the operational status of both the chastity belt and the armor suit.
Upon initiating the waste evacuation procedure, the integrated systems work in tandem to ensure a seamless and controlled process. The docking mechanism guarantees a reliable connection, allowing for the unhindered flow of waste from the chastity belt to the designated disposal system within the armor suit.
This comprehensive solution contributes to the overall functionality of the armor suit, addressing the physiological needs of the wearer while maintaining the discretion and efficiency required in operational environments.
The chastity cage is designed with versatility in mind, allowing it to be worn independently of the armor suit. Its standalone functionality ensures that the wearer can maintain the constraints and security provided by the chastity cage even when not in the complete armor suit ensemble.
Constructed from durable nano plastics and ceramics, the chastity cage provides a discreet and comfortable fit. The dual-chamber design, featuring separate compartments for the penis and testicles, ensures security and protection while offering a natural feel against the skin.
Whether worn as part of the complete armor suit or independently, the chastity cage remains an integral component, aligning with the established protocols and regulations governing the paramedics' conduct and attire
The uniformity enforced by the chastity cage contributes to the overall professionalism of the paramedics. It aligns with the standards set by the Corps, fostering a sense of discipline and uniformity among the tactical medical team.
The dual-chamber design ensures that the genitals are securely enclosed, reducing the risk of contamination or injury in the field.
By eliminating concerns related to personal needs, the paramedics can maintain a focused and concentrated mindset during critical situations. The chastity cage's design allows for seamless waste evacuation without compromising operational efficiency.

How To Choose The Right Dental Chair For Your Practice
Choosing the ideal dental chair involves more than just practicality; it involves a range of factors including patient comfort, dentist ergonomics, technology integration, and the overall atmosphere of the dental office. The combination of experience, technology, and patient comfort is the cornerstone of every successful dental practice. More than just a seat, the dental chair represents the point at which practitioner efficiency and patient experience meet. This detailed guide will help you sort through the many options and determine the most important elements that guarantee the best possible comfort, functionality, and dependability for your dental office.
Comfort and Ergonomics
Effective seating allows dental professionals to concentrate on providing precise dental care without being distracted by discomfort. Hot Bunk
Part 1
The Navy had finally addressed one of the personal space oddities of submarine life: the hot bunk. There wasn’t a bed for everyone; sailors shared a berth with two other sailors on different shifts. Sailors often said that the bunk was usually still warm from the previous sleeping shift; thus the term “hot bunk.” In order to grant the sailors the semblance of their own personal space in such a tight environment, the Navy installed a collapsible bunk system where every sailor had their own rack with their own bedding; which flattened and folded into the wall so that the next occupant’s rack could be set up when needed. They say it was for personal hygiene improvement and to allow personal space boundaries; but the rumor was to stop sailors from jacking off to the warm musky smell of the rack’s previous occupant. It also eliminated any chance of a double heat bunk- two sailors seeking each other’s ports; as the new bunks had weight and “force” sensors that would alert the XO.  Not very fun. Seaman Nathaniel Byrne slunk into the bunk room after a long shift maintaining the sub’s nuclear reactor. There had been an odd radiation leak in the coolant system that Nate and his team had spent a lot of time trying to lock down. Nate ended up spending a lot of time up between the coolant manifolds; his slender well toned frame allowed him to get into spaces some others couldn’t. He didn’t fit in with his radiation suit on; he had to strip down to his boxers in order to fit. The chief Engineer assured him that the radiation levels weren’t a danger to him; the readings on the console were not in the red zone. It was hard work in a hot confined space; and Nate was exhausted. His chief let him off early due to all his hard work. He quickly showered off and keyed in his bunk code. The racks started rotating on their conveyor chain; his bunk set in place and unfolded itself. Nate crashed into the bunk and fell fast asleep. The bunk raised itself to upper bunk position so that his roommates could access their rack when their shift ended. Hopefully his early bedtime won’t through off the schedule too much. In his tired state, Nate forgot to set his alarm. Since he was out of sync with his usual schedule, his recurring alarm wasn’t at the right time. Nate slept through the normal time when he should have vacated his bunk.
Nate was so tired that he slept right through the alert beeps that the folding rack uses to announce it is time to fold up. The occupancy sensors were malfunctioning; the optical safety sensors could not sense a presence in the bed. Perhaps Nate picked up some radiation after all; and its decay was blinding the sensors. As it turns out, the radiation may have had other effects... The bunk rack went through all of its safety protocols and was satisfied that it was empty. Even if something was left in the bunk, the pressure sensors on the bunk above would be the last line of defense; and would shut down the process when it felt resistance. It started to fold up toward the ceiling to free up space for the next occupant. Nate was startled awake when his nose brushed up against something flat. He opened his eyes to see the underside of the bunk above his touching his nose. The folding process continued pressing down on his nose; Nate thought he imagined the tip of his nose start to compress.  Even in his groggy state, Nate assured himself that the well-advertised safety system would soon sense his presence and stop the process. After all, the brochure said, the Navy can’t go around maiming all its sailors; it has to be safe. The bunk did not stop. The bunk pressed Nate’s nose flat to his face. Nate shouted out and started to move his arms and thighs up to press against the bunk to trip the sensor. As Nate exerted pressure on the underside of the bunk, his limbs felt awfully funny. The exertion of force seemed to bend them rather than apply pressure to the bunk; as if the bunk was an unmoveable force.  In this case, it was.  the pressure sensor didn’t sense anything in the trigger zone; so it continued the folding process. At this point Nate could feel the flat underside of the bunk  on his toes, legs, chest, face, and the remains of his morning wood. His wood! His dick was compressing in on itself; gaining girth as it received pressure. Nate tried to wiggle it (and the rest of himself) back and forth to try to shimmy out of the tight squeeze, but he felt too weak to do so. The bunk-stowing continued. At this point, Nate’s nose and mouth were pressed shut; so there was no longer anyway to yell out. His face started to flatten out completely; conforming to the underside of the bunk. his well defined pecs were now flattened to man boobs; as the previously toned muscle was moved to the side trying to find space. Nate could feel his legs becoming flat on top; no longer any knees or definition. As the pressure increased from the continued folding process, Nate could feel his body mass start to find paths of least resistance, which caused his profile to bulge outward. There was no longer any difference of height on his front, it was pressed flat into one continuous plane. ‘How much longer can this go on?’ Nate wondered. He was beyond freaking out, facts and ideas were racing through his head, trying to figure a way out of this mess. He seemed to remember that the bunk mattress and bedding was designed to flatten in the folding process to about an inch thick; and re-expand when opened. Maybe that would happen for him?! No slow down in the process; as the bunk continued its progress. Nate was a uniform 4” thick and thinning fast. The bunk thought it had at least 3 more inches to go to hit its designed storage position. The pressure continued to increase. Nate’s “footprint” continued to widen as he was compressed. No longer the slim profile that fit so well in the coolant manifold, he would appear to be 3x-4x his weight if 3D. Too bad he was racing to 2D. Nate was now uniformly 2” thick; and approaching 2’ wide. He gained a bit of height as his body mass shifted outward; approaching 7 feet tall. Nate had the startling realization that he stopped breathing a while ago and didn’t notice. His lungs were approaching paper thin; and didn’t have anywhere to go. The pressure continued. As the bunk rack neared its final position, Nate was now a uniform 1” thick. The mattress below him gave more than his flesh did; he took up its usual space. Nate could feel his flesh start to press against the edges of the bunk frame; he was approaching a perfect rectangle in shape. There was a vague head-shaped curve at the top; but everything from his shoulders down was squared off. Nate thought again about his dick and balls; his shaft looked to have wine bottle girth; but was cardboard thin. His balls had each flattened to platter size; and were glued to the front of his legs. Even with all of his current situation, it annoyed Nate how they felt stuck to his legs. Really it was the least of his worries. The rack was now compacted; and rotated up into the ceiling to the storage rack. Other unused racks piled on top; waiting to be called up by their owner. Nate relaxed; at least the pressure stopped building. As minutes turned to hours, Nate finally settled down and let his mind drift. Nothing to see, to do; bored. Nate drifted off to sleep.
The XO of the ship set about reviewing his normal morning shift operations routines for the ship. Night shift report, maintenance performed, duty roster- ‘That’s odd’ thought the XO, as he reviewed the Engineering Chief’s personnel report. Seaman Byrne didn’t show up for roll call. He scanned the nightly med bay log and didn’t see Byrne’s name on it. There was a notation  of time off for yesterday’s reactor maintenance, but that ended last shift. Was Byrne ok? Or intentionally skipping duty? Well- seeing that they were on a submarine; he didn’t run off. Time to alert the Sergeant-at-Arms. “Sergeant Jameson! Go roust out Seaman Byrne; seems he is late for duty.” “Yes Sir- on it sir!”
Jameson was thrilled. Byrne had turned down the opportunity to join the security detail and chose to remain in Engineering. He felt that smug punk Byrne thought he was better than him; Now Jameson had a reason to get some payback for the slight. Jameson charged down to crew’s quarters looking forward to knocking Byrne down a notch. Sergeant Jameson burst into the bunk room shouting, “Byrne- if you overslept and shirked duty, your ass is mine!” All Jameson found was a groggy ship’s cook coming off of breakfast duty. “Can I help ‘ya, Sarge?” The cook sheepishly offered. “Have you seen Byrne?” “No; he left the bunk room a mess. He didn’t stow his gear after leaving his bunk this morning.” ‘That’s another strike’ thought Jameson. “Clear out so that I can inspect his bunk.” “Sure thing.” After the cook left, Sarge keyed in his override code and called up Byrne’s bunk. The racks started rotating and flipping in and out of storage. Finally Nate’s bunk rotated down; leaving the bunk above still at the ceiling. Nate startled awake- his backside was suddenly cold and exposed. He still couldn’t see. Nate was suctioned to the underside of the bunk above. This was his chance: perhaps if he could wiggle, he could fall and escape. Sarge inspected the empty bunk for any signs as to where Nate was. He looked for contraband or anything out of the ordinary. The mattress was flatter than spec; ‘I wonder what Byrne has been doing on it?’ Sarge thought. Nate could hear someone below him. It was Sargent Jameson. Nate knew that Sarge had it in for him; but at least Sarge would uphold his oath and help his fellow sailor, right? Nate put even more effort into wiggling. He could feel his balls start to unstick from the bunk ; and an air pocket forming. Sargent had just about given up. There was no indication where Byrne had gone in his bunk. The last place to look is his locker. ‘Mind as well stow the bunk’ thought Sarge. Sarge keyed in the storage code. The bunk system started to life, jiggling Nate free. Nate landed on sarge, knocking him over. Nate was relieved- Sarge would help him right? At least bring him to the med bay? Something? “What the hell?!” Shouted Sarge. He quickly grabbed his attacker and flung him to the floor. It was only a mattress pad. Wait- or is it? Embossed on the surface seemed to be the shape of a naked man, only flattened into a smooth plane. He recognized who the mat looked like- Seaman Byrne.  Sarge reached out and touched the surface of what looked to be the man’s chest. The surface was warm to the touch; his cold hands made the surface break out in goosebumps. Just then, the mat opened its eyes. “Holy-! It is you, Byrne!” Sarge got excited. “This could be fun- I can take my revenge out on you...” Nate shuddered a bit. What would Sarge do to him?! Isn’t he going to help me get back to normal? Sarge keyed in his rack code to call up his berth. When it finally rotated into place, Sarge placed Nate on his rack and sent it back into storage. “I’ll come back for you later. All the XO needs to know is that I found you and put you on rest. Heh heh heh...” Nate was trapped again! The return of the compression eventually calmed Nate down enough to to drift off again.

The Miys, Ch. 23
Y’all, I am so excited to actually have this story arc going on!  I know there isn’t a ton of direct action, but keep in mind: our narrator, Sophia, is essentially a combination of HR and PR.  The actual action doesn’t happen within her wheelhouse, and isn’t in the realm of things she really gets.  So all her information is coming from other people.
We do learn a little more about the Miys in this chapter, though. ;)
BIG thanks on this chapter to my co-author and beta @parisconstantine (AKA @ritualistic-raven), and my friend, supporter, and backup rubber duck @baelpenrose.  You two are just THE BEST.
By the time Tyche’s group was able to get back to Level One, the majority of the screens had been brought in and were in the process of being set up.  Zach made a beeline to where the ersatz flight deck was being set up, fine tuning and rearranging things to very exacting standards.  In the meantime, we took Derek over to a pile of cushions Grey had sent an administrator for so that he could recover from the crowds and regain the focus he would need in order to align all the video feeds.  Jake dragged another pilot over, a petite woman who had been one of the last two eliminated, and after a few quite words, they started prowling in what looked like a perimeter around Derek, ensuring he was left alone.
Okay, apparently the self-styled ‘Maverick’ wasn’t as much of an asshole as I thought.
Only sparing a few moments to make sure that both Derek and my sister would be okay, I started evaluating what I could do to assist with the situation.  The truth was, my official capacity was not directly useful to the current situation: Grey, Xiomara, and Pranav had everything as under control as we could get it. However, for the time being, none of the Council was allowed to leave Level One, just as a safety precaution.  Looking around the mostly empty space, with the only furnishings other than currently-useless consoles that the Miys used to navigate being Derek’s pile of bean-bags and pillows, it was a little disheartening.
Maybe I could do something about that.
“Japeth, can I borrow you for a minute,” I asked the Miys.
With a groan it turned to me. “On one condition, Wisdom, and it is non-negotiable, I regret.”
“Oooo-kay?” I asked, confused.  I had never heard it sound so frustrated and upset.
“You must stop calling me Japeth.  That is not my name.  I could tolerate you calling me Noah, because that is a close translation of my actual name into several Terran languages. But I am not Japeth.  The one you would call Japeth is on another ship!” The last part was very distressed.
All I could do was gape at it. “Seriously?”
“I am incredibly sincere, Wisdom. I have tried to explain this on several occasions, but I realize now that I never explained it properly.  My name, the name of all of me, is Miys, which does translate to Noah.  But everyone on board seems to believe that is the name of my species, but it is not.  I can understand the confusion, because the only member of my species you have encountered is myself.  But just as your name is Sofeeya, my name is Miys.  And as you, along with everyone on board the Yjq except myself, are human, I am Hujylsogox.  Rylugs, the one you would call Japeth, is the member of my species who is on the carrier Qomtwin. So, I beg you, do not call me any name other than Miys or Noah.”
“I am so, so sorry,” I whispered in horror, covering my mouth.  “I… I completely misunderstood.  I thought Miys was your species, and that I was essentially just saying ‘Hey you’.  I’m not doing very well with manners for addressing a multi-bodied being, I’m sorry, Miys.”
“I know you meant no ill intent, Wisdom.  And I can hear how remorseful you are, so nothing more needs to be said.  However, if you could please communicate this to everyone, I would be most appreciative.”
“I’ll send out the communication immediately, I give you my word.  Geez, I can’t believe I’ve been so rude, that we’ve been so rude.”
“Single bodied races tend to have difficulty with understanding naming conventions for larger multi-bodied races.  It does happen.  You did not ask me to come over for me to admonish you, though.  I believe you needed something?”
Shaking my head in an attempt to get back on track, I remembered why I needed to speak with it. “Yes, right.  This space is configured for you to navigate the Ark, right?”
“It is,” Miys hummed in confirmation.
“Since the majority of us can’t leave the level for the foreseeable future, would it be okay if I brought in some amenities for us?  Not anything permanent or major.  Somewhere we can sit, tables to eat at, something to sleep on.  And are there any nearby facilities that we can use for hygiene?”
“The nearest human hygiene facilities are four levels below us, on the opposite end of the ship, I regret. While you stated that you are not requesting any permanent changes, I am willing to have communal ‘bathrooms’ installed on this level, instead.  Food consoles would be more difficult; would it be satisfactory if I retrieve the meals myself, instead?  Since I cannot pilot the Ark, currently, there is a significant part of myself that has no tasks to perform.”
“I really do not want to ask you to – serve us, Miys.” I was making a conscious effort to use their name, now that I knew that is what I was actually doing. “Truthfully, in times like this, that is what the assistants to the Council are for.”
“Then I shall escort them. I do not like the idea that someone sabotaged what is, in truth, a mission to conserve their own species.  I have made many friends among the humans on this ship, and I would like to protect them.”
I honestly had no argument for that, and the smug sounding chirp from Miys told me they knew that. “Okay, so that’s decided apparently. Are the furnishings okay?”
“Once it is determined how much of the deck will be taken up by navigational systems, we can decide that. There may be insufficient room. In that event, there are cargo areas nearby that can serve temporarily.”
“How near?” I was worried about travelling back and forth.
“This space constitutes half of Level One.  The other half is made up of three cargo areas, one of which is where the hygiene facilities will be installed.  The other two can serve as sleeping areas if necessary.”
I was starting to believe I would never fully understand the scope of just how large the Ark was.  The room we were in – what I thought was the entirety of Level One – was the size of a football field.  To know that it was only half of the level was mind-boggling. “I want to say I doubt we will need the additional space, but I see your point.  How about a compromise: we need seating and eating areas as soon as possible.  Since the navigational systems are already being set up against one wall, can we at least have tables and chairs at the other end?”
“That would be acceptable. Everyone is already anxious and tired; from my understanding of humans, this can lead to shortened tempers and increased likelihood of altercations over minor causes.”
“Thank you.  I promise, as soon as we are able to get the sensors back on line we will remove the furniture.  Maybe even sooner, if it turns out we need to use the cargo holds after all.”
While I discussed what we would need with Arantxa, Derek had recovered enough to start getting the signals aligned to the monitors.  Zach relayed any feedback to Pranav regarding adjustments that needed to be made at each individual camera, either to reduce lag in the feed or because Maverick requested minute adjustments in the camera angle so that he would have the best possible visual field for piloting.  As the camera feeds slowly started to come online, a handful of the pilots on deck started comparing what they could see to what could be translated from Miys’ star charts.
Once furniture was organized and Hunyh sent his people along with several of Miys escorting them, I started broadcasting updates from my data screen to the rest of the ship, explaining the situation in hopes to reduce panic.  The deliberate sabotage to the sensors was left out, but anything that the Council agreed would not put the Ark and those on board in danger was explained for the benefit of everyone.  It took several hours, most of those answering questions from worried people on board, but eventually I was able to take a break and collapse in a commandeered chair and gulp down some tea.  Thankfully, Arantxa had steadily been capturing each question that I answered and set the in a sort of FAQ list, providing me with a break.  “Any updates from the flight crew?” I asked, rubbing my temples. I jerked as I felt something brush against my neck, only to give a relieved smile to my sister when I realized she had stuck an analgesic on me.  “Thanks,” I whispered.
“The good news is, they have determined where we are and we aren’t very far off course.  We were lucky to drop into sub-light speed near a single star system, and based on the Ark’s course, there is only one that we should be even remotely near.  It is an uninhabited system, with a dying star.  The Miys were able to explain that the system has never shown any signs of being inhabited.  There are only three planets, all gaseous mega-giants, but all of them have rocky satellites, so there is hope that we can get the materials needed to repair the sensors.”
“Worst case scenario, if we don’t find the resources?”
“We find another system and keep trying, apparently,” she sighed, leaning back in her seat. “According to Grey and Eino, even humans cannot fly by dead reckoning at FTL speeds, because you are literally outrunning the information needed. Noah confirmed this is accurate for all sighted species so far.”
“Okay, then let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst.  You said that’s the good news.  Does that mean there is bad news?”
“Only less good news,” my sister took over.  “The flight controls we have on hand are designed for multi-limbed species, so we had to pick a second pilot.  Maverick – dumbest nickname ever, but whatever – insisted on Evania ‘Evan’ Josue, the woman who was helping him drive people off from Derek.  The other pilot who was eliminated with her is apparently better, but has a history of violence against Okima, so we agreed on Evan since Maverick is literally the only pilot on board with experience flying in zero-gee.”
“So Captain Cocky picks fights, too?”
“Um… not really?  He gets beat up a lot, apparently.”
I groaned and put my head down on my arms. “I really do not need another stray right now.  Nope, I’m not collecting any more people until after this whole thing is behind us.”  With a sigh, I sat back up.  “Okay, so how long until Maverick puts his money where his mouth is?”
Tyche and Arantxa glanced at each other before breaking into howls of laughter.  Instead of their reply, Zach flopped down in the nearest available seat, chewing on something. “About two hours ago, Soph.  You were so busy, you totally missed it,” he mumbled around a mouthful of food. “Mochi?” he offered nonchalantly, holding out a small server with a precarious pile of snacks.
“Wait, how did I miss this?” I cried, looking at the two women whose laughter was dying down to gasps.
“For all that he has the social graces of a starving dog, turns out that ‘Maverick’ over there pilots with the delicacy and precision of a surgeon,” my sister gasped. “You would think he and Evan share the same brain from how in synch they are with each other. Estimates are hopeful that we should have what we need within a week, two at the outside.”
“Still, you could have told me,” I grumbled.
“You were essentially live-streaming for six solid hours.  There really wasn’t a chance,” she explained, still laughing slightly.
All I could do was shake my head at her. “Whatever. Okay, how are the living arrangements going?” I asked, glancing at Arantxa.
“As you can see, food is being brought in, and tables and chairs are set up in here.  Bathrooms are still in the basic stages – we have a couple toilets and showers, and waiting lists for both until more are installed.  Sleeping space ended up being in one of the cargo holds and we’re setting up more in the other one.  Fortunately, the hold is pretty tall, so we’ve got scaffolding set up for extra space.  Nothing fancy, just some futons on any available flat surface.  But it’s something,” she shrugged.
“At least there’s that,” I conceded.  “All right. Take a break, get some rest Arantxa.  We’re about half way into Gamma shift, so you should have been off work ages ago.  I’m going to go find Xiomara, see what she can tell me.”
“You don’t gotta find her,” Zach interjected after swallowing yet another rice cake. “She’s over one the ‘flight deck’.” He wiggled his fingers in air quotes and jerked his head toward the other end of the room before holding out the now-smaller pile of treats. “And seriously, you gotta eat something.”
“Thanks,” I murmured before grabbing a couple mochi and setting off.  I stopped off to get a couple servers of tea and took them with me over to the area where the navigation equipment was set up.
Xiomara gratefully took the beverage I handed to her. “I have never been so grateful for your mother hen tendencies as I was when I saw food and drinks coming in.”
I snorted. “It’s literally my job. Food, board, and recreation all report up to me.”
“Which is totally not because you adopt people at random and insist on taking care of them.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” I insisted. “Any updates on your end?”
“Way to be a buzzkill. Yeah, we got everything up and running,” she nodded to the near-silent group of pilots and navigators.  “If it weren’t for the history as a fighter pilot, I would think ‘Maverick’ is an ironic nickname.  He’s got to be the most conservative pilot I’ve ever seen.”
“Have you seen many?” I asked, curious.
“Loads.  I served in the Global Terran Navy, mostly on aircraft carriers.  Usually, fighter pilots act like they are invincible and own the skies.  But, even knowing that there are shields in place to repel debris, he’s flying like the Ark is made of tissue paper,” she made a sweeping gesture at Maverick and Evan.
“I can hear you, you realize?” He called without looking away from the screens.  “And of course, I’m good at flying.  It’s my fixation, and probably the only thing I’m good at.” My heart wanted to break at that, especially when I remembered the comment earlier about how ‘most of us’ didn’t get often have people in their corner that supported and defended them.  Even worse was how matter-of-fact and distracted he sounded when he said it.
“ETA is about six more hours before we get to Eenie,” Xiomara changed the topic, clearing her throat in embarrassment.  “We can start looking for resources when we get to the closest moon around it.”
“Eenie?” I asked skeptically, assuming it was a joke.
“Three planets in the system, no actual names, just catalogue numbers.  We’ve been calling them Eenie, Meenie, and Miney for sake of ease,” she shrugged. “Moe is the star.”
“How are we supposed to find resources if we don’t have working sensors?” I asked, shaking my head at the absurd logic of planetary nomenclature.
“Drone probes and old-fashioned core samples,” Grey answered from where they had approached behind Xiomara.  I had never seen them look so exhausted and rumpled. “We’ll cannibalize the entire core samples, putting anything not needed for the sensors into ship’s stores, replenishing resources we’ve used by being on board the Ark.”
“Gotcha,” I nodded. “All right then, I’m going to snag some food and a nap. I’m beat.”  Cuddles would have been nice, too, but Derek had commandeered my cat for the duration, and I really could not fault him for that.
“I think we all should do the same,” Xiomara nodded, suppressing a yawn. “Maverick, Evan, are you two good?”
“Have to be, Councillor,” Evan answered with flat certainty.  “With no sensors, the ship can’t fly on autopilot.  Once we get to Eenie, Maverick and I can grab some sleep while the drone pilots take over harvesting core samples. Councillor Ranganathan’s folks already wired the probes up for video-cast, so they’ll be ready to go when we need them.  Their pilots are sleeping now, then they’ll come on at Alpha shift commencement.”
“Works for me, Evan,” my fellow Councilor replied, rubbing her temples. “Definitely time for the rest of us to grab some sleep while we have the chance.”
I didn’t need to be told twice.

DBH Connor Headcanons:
• Connor is programmed, as an advanced prototype, to be able to adapt to any given situation and manipulate his own body language, voice and appearance in order to adapt to a suspect or victim’s behaviour. He can play the good cop and bad cop simultaneously, such as during the Carlos Ortiz android interrogation.
• Connor didn’t actually like dogs when he first met Hank, as he was only 3 months old by that point and spent the majority of his time either investigating or in Cyberlife tower either in stasis or reviewing maintenance /updates. He said he liked dogs in order to win Hank’s favour, but upon actually meeting Sumo, he quickly realised he did in fact like them. Sumo was the first dog he ever met.
• Connor, despite his awkwardness when talking to humans or comforting, is actually equipped with basic psychological – analysis software and is able to be of use when faced with a number of psychological issues that may affect any human victims including PTSD. He is a fully trained therapist if needed.
• Those at Cyberlife, however, did not take into account that these responses and assets could back-fire when used against a hard – boiled alcoholic lieutenant.
• Connor is programmed with software from an amalgamation of androids to assist with any possible situation. He has basic child – care in order to comfort and gain the trust of children in frightful situations, his crime-scene analysis software is a highly advanced version of that a house maintenance android would have in order to maintain prime hygiene within the home, his social interaction and adaptation software is based on that of android talk show hosts and actors that would require quick – time reaction and proper adaptation to events.
• Despite his more lanky appearance, Connor is extremely strong even by Android standards and is able to lift weights akin to that of construction and labour androids such as the likes of Luther.
• These abilities however have to be tightly monitored and measured when doing near all tasks, his software precision altered even slightly could be disastrous. The exact pressures are critical between different tasks – from petting Sumo or helping an android/Hank to stopping an elevator with his bare hands, kicking a door off its hinges or even restraining an android the size of Luther. His software is managed with excruciatingly neat detail, with some situations forced to involve less power than others. He wouldn’t be allowed to use any such strength against a human or deviant to be captured as it could pose unnecessary damage or harm. He physically would not be allowed while being a machine unless completely necessary. As a deviant, however, he would have to monitor these pressures himself.
• When he is emotional, these pressure monitors can be affected by his deviancy and fluctuate ever so slightly. It isn’t uncommon to see Hank or one of the Jericrew comforting him without applying too much stress or too much physical contact after he all but broke Markus’s hand in his while being comforted after one of his first panic attacks without Hank there. Hank was aware of the strength problem but never thought it wasn’t normal by android-standards enough to be mentioned.
• Connor, as a result of his deviancy conflicting with his code, his very being, has been known to suffer panic attacks. The signs of this is usually over usage or a bombardment of data from his surrounding, overheating his sensors and affecting his system depending on the situation and whether Hank, Sumo or later Markus and even Simon, leading to him struggling to comprehend his surrounding and entering a sort of threatened, feral mode as his system views him as being vulnerable and open to attack. His sensitivity , from the senses of touch, sound or sight, are heightened to uncanny levels and he can barely function in these states.
• Connor doesn’t really understand how to stop his emotions from controlling him, while he isn’t reckless or aggressive, he doesn’t know how to control responses that prior his deviancy were held back by his programming. Like how when he first meets Gavin against post-revolution and he just doesn’t even take a second to try to defuse or ignore him, he just instantly shuts down any physical aggression Gavin has against him and just lets loose his irritation. This turns out to be very entertaining and slightly terrifying to those watching as Connor completely destroys any of Gavin’s ego and superiority complex, not wasting any time in showing his determination to kick Gavin’s ass should he try anything.
• Connor is asexual and doesn’t understand the need for sexual intercourse but does enjoy the concept of romance and welcomes physical contact from those he is comfort with. While he doesn’t feel the need for sex or anything along those lines, he isn’t disgusted by it or show any hatred towards those who enjoy it. While watching romantic movies or scenes he prefers to analysis the interactions and body language of the individuals involved, using such signs of attraction and other information when interacting with the females in the office he can’t help but notice behaving strangely, turning to Hank with his findings only for him to glare at the onlookers and groan that he needed a drink.
• Connor also may or may not have also noticed corresponding results to his interactions with a certain robo-jesus as of late. The other Jericrew members found his analysis hilarious.
• Connor hates when people assume he is a ‘dog person’ as he views favouring a certain animal over all others is idiotic and unnecessary and just illogical. He loves all animals of any shape and size (even hairless cats) as he feels comforted by their lack of prejudice towards androids and unconditional love should you treat them well.
• But Sumo is his favourite animal friend... possibly his best friend. He enjoys how he simply wants pets and doesn’t stare at his LED but just slobbers all over him.
• Connor has a phobia of Snowstorms due to his experience with Amanda in the Zen Garden during Markus‘s speech and so, while able keep himself calm while outside in winter, his stress will automatically shot upon even a slight breeze blowing snow flurries onto him. If left to endure such conditions, he more than likely would succumb to a panic attack and be welcomed with a hug from Hank and Sumo before they would all cuddle sit on the couch and drink hot cocoa or hot milk and honey and watching another old movie Hank suggested.
• Connor has extremely fast reflexes upon being touched while in a vulnerable state such as (sleeping??) stasis or simply relaxing with Sumo. This was noted rather quickly when Hank went to wake him up a week or so after the revolution by shaking his shoulder, only to quickly find the android flipping him over the sofa and his programming already predicted over ten ways to subdue and possibly disable his attacker. Connor continued to apologise for a near week afterwards, despite the older lieutenant’s claims that it wasn’t his fault he was built to be quick to action and at least he hadn’t woken up with a knife in near proximity.
• Hank also wanted to ask him about the ‘Amanda’ character he had been muttering rather loudly about while sleeping which caused the lieutenant’s actions, questioning if androids could even have nightmares but deciding to hold off until Connor calmed down.
• Connor and Hank would often have movie nights (especially during not-gonna-sleep-snowstorms) during which they could go through Hank’s collection dating back nearly thirty years. These would definitely include the likes of Back to the future (Hank kept complaining about watching the sequels since Connor kept informing him of the illogical plot pieces in contrast to the basics of time travel), Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, Rocky, Disney...etc.
• Soon Connor would also branch out to have movie nights with the Jericrew (Hank definitely encouraged him to educate their ‘uncultured plastic asses’) and these more often or not were action movies (North) or Disney movies (they all love them fight me they all cried for Mufasa and Baymax).
• Connor cried during the scene where Hiro made Baymax attack Calihan (?? That how you spell his name?). The Jericrew thought it was just the scene that upset him, not understanding how it represented one if his greatest if not his greatest fear – being controlled to kill and attacking/near killing his friends in the process.
• That was the first time the Jericrew saw him saw him show such uncontrollable emotions, watching the ex-deviant hunter start to silently cry, attempt to proper himself and shrug his emotions away before completely breaking down into a sobbing mess.
• It slowly dawned on them the actual implications of the scene and how they affected him, with Markus immediately pulling the sobbing detective into a hug.
• The others joined in too. Even North.
• Simon, upon them binging the Captain America movies, would comment that Connor and Bucky were quiet similar in that they were both made into weapons and forced to ignore their emotions and conditioned to obey until a suave guy who was good at shielding himself with a hunk of metal managed to break through and help them see the light.
• Everyone found that comparison heart-warming but hilarious once they realised Markus was blushing for making a comment about shipping Stucky (cue awkward android babies being teased – ruthless killing assassin helped by cutie with weird but wicked fashion-sense and a big heart).
• No one who surprised when, a week later, they found Connor wandering around Jericho saying “I Am Groot.” to all and everyone in the characters voice.
• He gave everyone a near heart attack when he said it out loud at the precinct.
• No one in Jericho is allowed to talk about Infinity War. No one.

Jedi make the Worst Roommates
AN: No really, take it from the disaffected agent. He knows the struggle.
This is my Imp. Agent x my Jedi Knight sometime after the Eternal Empire forces cooperation between the Empire and Republic. I can have two outlanders if I want.
One of Cipher’s favorite things about coming home was washing the city off his body. Coruscant’s enormity was every bit as filthy as it was gaudy. It seemed to him that people pretended not to notice sewage pouring into the corners of their beautiful plazas or the crazed eyes of someone who hadn’t eaten in months and didn’t know if they ever would again outside that gold peaked senate tower steepled into the clouds. Cipher had lived in a city wiped clean of people all of his life. It was like one of those replica sets: sharp, clean, empty. But if Kaas City was fake, or shallow, if they were all just bugs in an Imperial belljar – then Cipher was more relieved than ever to be the Empire’s golden boy.
He ducked his head under the stream of water from his refresher and luxuriously shook his hair out backwards. Satisfied with the rinse, Cipher ran his fingers through the short locks to sluce out water and glanced into the clouds spilling from the full glass wall in front of him. The windows tinted from the outside the realtor had assured him, but from indoors it was hard not to feel like he was creating a spectacle for the steady stream of dimly glowing speeders below. The Republic might have offended a steel bar of pride that ran through his chest, but did he love to look at it. The skyscrapers' angled metal points painted the sky with reflections of sunlight gleaming off them as the lights turned on below. It was the most glorious skyline he’d ever seen.
A rectangle glass refresher for his rectangle glass room in a rectangle glass condo. It was gluttony incarnate. Cipher had grown up fabulously rich by Imperial standards, but he hadn’t comprehended the true uselessness of money until he agreed to play pet agent for the Republic and their starboy Jedi. The Empire concentrated money in the hands of the meritous. In theory. The mechanisms were subject to exploit, like any other system, but the Republic’s network of Trade Federations reaped money from its struggling citizens the same way he’d watched splicers scoop organs from still living donors. One could be wealthy in the Empire, but in the Republic credits stacked to the stratosphere.
This living arrangement was thankfully temporary; when the threat resolved itself, for better or worse, he’d put down rent on the first shithole one bedroom apartment in Kaas City he could find. It made him feel less nauseated by his experiments in extravagance to know he was just burning through a windfall he neither wanted nor needed.
Cipher sucked residual menthol from his teeth and rubbed the tightness from his shoulders one last time before holding his hand over the sensor, cutting the water flow. Hygiene didn’t take long by habit. A fastidious creature, Cipher had the added incentive of his precision obsessed father and military trauma to guide him through the simple process of cutting away excess time.
Being such a creature of habit, Cipher always left his keys in the drawer, bag on the table and shoes tucked into the hallway's closet. He left the lights off, then he was off upstairs to watch the sunset bounce off of water droplets without a second thought to the spaces he haunted. He liked letting twilights wind down to their natural conclusion before throwing on artificial florescence.
When the lights winked on today, he remembered that he’d forgotten he had a roommate. He wasn’t in (he hardly was at night until he whisked in at 3 AM smelling like men and cheap beer) and hadn’t been for months. It appeared he’d come home today only to vanish by nightfall leaving what looked like the remnants of a very Jedi sized panic attack on their coffee table, couch, and in a tight trail into the kitchen. Cipher picked up a bowl crusted with dried up noodles and wondered what the general public would do if they knew the Hero of Tython was a slob with no particular skill outside of his lightsaber.
Cipher followed the charging port wires thrown over the couch arm (miraculously not half tugged from their sockets) to the sink full of a hurriedly eaten lunch. Having just plunked down the noodles on the little cutting board by the sink, Cipher just stared into it. Dishes. With stale food. In the sink. He closed his eyes and flexed his hands as though reaching for someone’s shoulders to give them a stiff shake. It was when the old familiar ache in his jaw twinged, that he realized he was grinding molars. He opened his eyes and forced a breath between his teeth only to be greeted with the top lid of an empty Holotray dinner globbed with mash and a cardboard box peel. Cipher squealed with defeat deep in the back of his throat.
Soapy water and steam scrubbed everything away including the dull ache just under his heart that a path of mess had left. It scrubbed the frustration away, but not the clacking making its way down the hall; that was impossible not to hear over the sound of the water and Cipher’s own mental steam.
“Kurt?”
The Sith glanced up under the ridge of his brows at his deadname. The Hero with his concussion staff looked like he’d gotten into a fight with his pillow and had thoroughly enjoyed every second. Elutherius was fond of airy shirts that fell to the knees and little else, nothing else if he could get away with it, which Cipher usually let him. The Navy had made him unshy about holding conversation with nude participants - frontal or otherwise. The white coarseweave Elutherius wore now billowed down over his thighs. A stray sleeve had drifted partway down one of his broad shoulders. The looseness had a softening effect on his hard physic so that what Cipher would normally class as “wiry” became “slim.”
“When’d you get home?”
“Last night.” Sleep cracked his voice.
Cipher paused a moment to let the running water fill the silence. “Don’t you have a cane?”
“Couldn’t be bothered…” Elutherius flicked his wrist as though alluding to the presently horrified clutter that was his room.
“And how many times have I told you to clean up after yourself? Not tidy, not organize, just clean up things that are gross.”
A small smile played over Elutherius’ lips. “Define ‘gross’ Kurt because you and I have very different definitions.”
“Food waste. For one. You can’t let it sit overnight.”
“And it didn’t—” Elutherius began to sigh.
“—Or for literal hours at a time.”
“Food’s just kinda one of those things that happens when you have life; it’s not gross.”
“I didn’t ask you to live with me so you could leave food out.”
Cipher turned off the sink. Dried his hands. Straightened the towel. Listened to Elutherius clack his way around the island.
He’d asked in hopes of manipulating Elutherius out of the cult of Jedi he’d joined. It was the only way an ex-Imperial officer and Intelligence Agent knew how to be a friend. In truth, Cipher didn’t know what he expected from Elly. Once, when Cipher was still very young, he had been his slave, then his father’s apprentice, and now a Jedi named Friyr Illustratum. Elutherius burned bridges in pursuit of freedom that Cipher wasn’t entirely convinced he could find. Circumstance pushed them back together. He was, in essence, Elutherius’ last bridge back to the Empire. He had no illusions that Elly’s first instinct was to take up torch, but something stayed the Jedi’s hand.
He squeezed Cipher’s bare shoulder. “Mmmn, well, messy is me.”
Cipher had heard that earning the love of a Jedi was a starcrossed fate. Sometimes there were moments of weakness but it was mostly longing for an ill-gotten lover. Romantic drivel that the Republic fattened its citizens on.
Loving a Jedi felt like a man trapped by a cult into a life of servitude as a zealotous solider with a serene smile. “Friyr Illustratum” was just a former slave manipulated by dogma. There was nothing noble, sacrificing, or romantic about loving a friend captive to sycophants and his own warped mentality. It was just sad. Irrevocably sad.
“What do you mean it’s you?” Cipher huffed as he plucked up the lid and trash and threw them into the bin.
“I mean, like. When you used to live with me I was a servant. You weren’t living with me as a person. I don’t gotta clean up after ya anymore, Hot Shot is what I’m sayin’. Get a maid.”
Cipher sighed, but his big yellow eyes softened around their hard unnatural glow. His words reflected none of that softness. “You can be yourself and have common decency for our living space without it turning into I’m Very Oppressed.”
Elutherius’ returning smile was suddenly bitter. “Not everybody lives in your world, Grimmel.”
Ah. There it was. The name: ‘Grimm little,’ shortened to ‘Grimmel’ over the years. It was his father’s Sith-given name that his mother had cooed at him when he at a very young age dedicated himself to being his father’s perfect replica. It was an ambition like that city again, perfect and precise but ultimately empty of who Cipher was. It was only Elly who saw Cipher as more than his father, and it was only Elly who could wield an old pet name with the same deadly precision as a saber.
“True maturity is knowing that actions don’t define you so long as you’re secure in your identity. Slave is all you’ll ever be if you constantly run from it.” The last thing had been unintentionally hard; these were a prelude to a fight that Cipher had felt coming the day he’d clapped eyes on the traitor.
Silence fell like a curse as Elutherius developed a case of lockjaw, but whether he’d truly lost his scathing rage the way he claimed or if a large helping of Jedi patented patience was keeping him level, Elutherius didn’t rise to the occasion. Conversation for the night was done.
Cipher turned on his heel to the hangar. He wanted Elutherius to tear into him. That he didn’t with the fervor of a mad hound rattled Cipher’s long vacant insides until he felt like he was losing his footing in a world quickly falling too far away too fast in unfamiliar skies with an unfamiliar man. It was enough to drive him to drink.
And he had been again. It wasn’t like last time when he needed alcohol to replace his guts when Elutherius had “died” on a planet that wasn’t home. It wasn’t like the days when they patronized him with an honorable discharge and knowing smiles that said “you gave having a real job a shot Rich Boy.” He just needed the edge off once in a while, and everything was okay.
The hangar was a one speeder affair. Elutherius didn’t drive and Kurt’s tiny Rendili didn’t need much pomp and circumstance. Instead, the space was filled by racks full of weapons that they said they’d use, then never had the time to take out but yet still couldn’t find a good enough excuse to get rid of. Cipher had a wall of cabinets in the far north corner overflowing with parts for his artificing hobby. The delicate handiwork had kept him up through painfully sober nights moved back into his parent’s house.
Edging around the bulk of his speeder pressed close to the sides of the already cramped space, Cipher had to pull a ladder braced on the cabinets against his chest in order to stick his arm in. He frowned. From the sliver he could see the empty bottle of Kyrf, but the 6-pack he’d been slowly depleting had left a large empty space.
“Looking for these?” Elutherius stood in the doorway, Cipher’s six-pack flagged in one hand. “You got quite the stash back there.”
Cipher stared. His chest felt strangely tight. It wasn’t until Elutherius had found him stealing in his own home that he realized how much he’d enjoyed being the one without baggage. Kurt Wax had been a young man with the world laid out at his feet. A natural leader and the anchoring point of many an operation. Cipher 9, well, he’d made a lot of hard decisions and the pay was good.
“I might be. Yes.” Kurt said. His voice echoed in the wide empty spaces.
Friyr crooked a finger and he came. He still didn’t know what he expected from the Jedi as he stood in front him, his feet shoulder width apart and hands folded behind his back. Punishment in Kurt’s world was always swift and meaningful, whether verbal or physical. He had learned young how to take his stripes.
Friyr hugged him. His strong arms pinned Kurt’s arms to their sides as the former officer’s posture stiffened rather than softened. It was an unfamiliar position for both men. Friyr had never been the type to dole out affection even as a Jedi; he handled his position with a serious kind of grace. And well, Kurt was curt.
“Uh.”
“This is awkward; isn’t it?” Friyr asked. His breath caught the edge of Kurt’s neck.
“Quite.” Friyr abruptly let go and neither looked at the other. Kurt smoothed down his tank top and faked a cough. “But it was… appreciated. Er-- Thank you.”
“Look, if you can go easy on the alcohol, I can—stop rebelling against something I was a long time ago and just be a person.”
Kurt tilted his head towards Friyr.
“Which is to say, I can clean up a little.”
Kurt was silent for a while as he watched the light behind Friyr frame him into a silhouette. “Why’re you so afraid of it?”
“Too much time on my hands makes me antsy, and I don’t want to go back to filling that being house boy again, so I do nothing. And still feel pretty awful, not gonna lie.”
“Is that why you go out all night?”
“I—uhhhh—never really thought about it like—Hold on, Wise Guy, this is about you. What’re you; some kind of drunk or somethin’?”
“Yes,” Kurt said plainly.
“Oh… Why?”
“Too much time on my hands,” Friyr snorted, and Kurt responded with a rare smile. Automatically, his hand came up to brush Friyr’s elbow since the other man couldn’t see his lips. “after you died. My story ended that day if I ever really had one to begin with.”
“What do you mean? ‘Course you got a story, Kurt.”
“No. I think I was always a part of ours. The Force has always pulled us together for better or worse. We lost people along the way--”
“—Pour one out for Draq—” Friyr muttered the ill-fated Inquisitor’s name under his breath.
“—But it’s always been you and me in the end.”
Friyr flushed pinker than the setting sun dying through their dusty hangar windows. “Isn’t this where you’re supposed to kiss me?” It was an oddly vulnerable color, and although Kurt had had a few girlfriends and had never been in love, it wasn’t an objectionable idea. Not by a long shot.
Kurt leaned in and watched the Jedi’s eyes widen. His hands came up in protest before Kurt cut him off with a grin full of canine. “You wish.”
