#vashwood #vash the stampede #nicholas d wolfwood #trigun #trigun maximum #participated in altades' dance collab :3 very grateful for the opportunity and many thanks to them for organizing this!#there was a lot of vw arc choices... but i went for the leonof arc bc it's a dear vw moment to me #i think a lot of the leonof arc further breaks down vash's ideology and for the readers - together with ww- to learn that his ideals aren't #pure naivety and that vash knows he's at an odd standpoint with himself. he's criticized ww for shooting rai-dei just prior when ww had don #so on the behalf of vash but here he thanks him for killing on behalf of his home and its genuine. bc vash's presence - although it's not #his fault - he was the reason leonof and gray had gotten to the ship and killed people there. that's the guilt he has to live with and #despite his anger he'd still resolute not to kill. meanwhile ww just did what he had to - beating down on a seemingly immortal monster but #at the core made up of many lives he had to take and i feel as the fight dragged on - his own mentality waned. committing active carnage #while remembering the orphanage... and bearing that guilt alongside the words vash left with him during rai-dei's death #only for vash to thank him afterwards what he's done and for apologizing for pushing his beliefs on ww when he had no solutions of his own #anyway. i just have so an immense love for this arc bc they just got around to appreciating each other in weird ways. though ofc its still #weird and confusing for ww bc every new info on vash it'll just be strange to him as someone who's human #ruporas art

Freeing them is the ethical thing to do, because they are all innocent victims, but it remains true that leaving thousands of vampires loose, even in the underdark, is a bad bad idea. Not only are they traumatized people, but they're predators who have only their instincts to help them survive in an unfamiliar land that isn't exactly bountiful in terms of wildlife. If they don't do well, they'll die or be slaughtered, and if they do they'll ruin entire communities or ecosystems, depending on whether they feed on people or animals.

#i was thinking again of that line minthara says about how the patriars should have the refugees work for them and have them defend the city #and tav is like 'um that's slavery you're describing?'#and she's like 'call it what you want but would you rather have them die of starvation stuck outside the city walls?'#and i mean the player doesn't have much to say in that matter but there is still a complex situation being presented with no easy solution #because bg has been the destination for refugees for a long time already #like it was already in a state of crisis after the descent when many people who could not return to their homes #massively started to arrive to the gate #right when their duke was gone and left the city without a ruler and the military without a leader #now the government is even WORSE and so is the refugee situation since they're now coming from everywhere #it is painfully true that the guild is still the only truly functioning organism in the city #and they're also having trouble with the absolute #like bg objectively doesnt have the space or the means to sustain the refugees #the patriars may #but in the end gold cant feed a family either #but eating the rich does sound like the most sensible option still-#ooc #the only objectively good ending i think is if you could leave the githyanki egg with lae'zel #also i think of the quest zevlor gives for killing kagha #which sounds like a sensible option when he says it but it prompts the grove massacre #but you can explain it to halsin and he understands that they forgot their principles and attacked defenseless refugees #and you merely defended yourself and them #then again if you look in the right places you can see dialogues suggesting that the refugees are indeed damaging the grove #like chopping trees without the druid's consent #so.#yeah i just have a deep appreciation for some aspects of the game's writing #that show there often isn't an objectively best choice #and you are just doing your best with the information you have and what your morals dictate

makes me uncomfortable how so many so called leftists/anticapitalists are campaigning for full home office work. doesn't it unsettle you to think of a big portion of the workforce being completely atomized and out of direct, physical contact with each other?

#like i think both options have their pros and cons (working in an office makes it easier for the employer to control your every move)#and the fact that companies are trying to get people back in the office shows that #but 100% home office work is not the solution lmao #i get the appeal of less commuting and the comfort of working at home #but you're gonna have to step foot in the same workplace as your peers if you want to organize for ANYTHING

still have my 8 month long lingering chest injury that just came out of nowhere with no cause where it just flares up and I have a lot of pain near my collar bones and chest and shoulders for a few days, HOWEVER I have recently discovered that sometimes I can get temporary relief by sticking a wet q-tip up my nose to make myself sneeze, which on like the 3rd or 4th sneeze will occasionally audibly pop a little bone in the center of my ribs or something and then it doesn’t feel as bad. Hopefully there will be a better more comprehensive solution someday but also there would be a humor to that just being part of my regular routine forever now... like, oh hold on I have to go do my daily self induced sneeze sessions for my mysterious bone pain

#I've had an upper endoscopy. ekg. stress test and heart ultrasound thing. bee to a physical therapist. etc. etc. And still... the constant #recurring chest pains #The only think I can think of that they haven't done is like.. look look at the actual like.. situation in there #I think maybe I just need to ask for an x-ray or something?? like to look at my chest bones and muscles and stuff #maybe I hve some weird condition where once every few weeks one of my rib bones pops out of place a little and it just need #s to be put back or something hjbhj idk how skeletons work #I've heard of people saying like 'oh my knee popped out of place i just have to adjust it' or whatever so.. maybe that can happen #with other bones too???#I am EDS adjacent (like if it were a spectrum I would be halfway there I have similar and related issues in a way that is #not so severe that like my organs are tearing or I'm consantly having problems but enough to cause frequent joint pain #and other issues and I'm super felixible and etc.) so idk even if I'm not As Bad As Super Severe Official Cases maybe I still #could have some sort of weird bone join muscle whatever thing going on #IDK #pain and suffering and so on and so forth #I just think the sneeze solution is funny #I used to legit come home from school in elementary school and sit and watch cartoons while I made myself sneeze because I thought it was #funny and I liked that eventually it makes you really snotty and your eyes are teared up so then I could also make it seem like I was #just crying and act out dramatic scenarios with my imaginary friends alone in my room pretending I was in some very serious movie where #I had just been sobbing or somehting ghghbj #Now it has come back to be a useful part of my life again somehow
