mass effect fandom typically has no problem disregarding or rewriting portions of canon, but one thing i have almost never seen touched is the friendship between garrus and shepard. so here is a poll because i am genuinely curious. i tried to be as expansive as poll limitations allowed, but since we are already throwing out canon i recognize there are a lot of variances that haven't been included. because of that, i would particularly like it if people elaborated about their non-romantic relationship with garrus in the tags, comments, or reblogs - especially if you are someone who has voted for any of the non-friend options. thanks for your time!

rotating sonic and metal sonic in my brain. the same person in two different flavors of existence. one of them has a voice and agency, the other does not. both convinced the other is a cheap imitation of the true self. i am orbiting the idea of them being forced to the role of the other in particular in some way, where sonic becomes the one who lacks autonomy over his own existence and the ability to fight back, and metal is granted unconditional freedom to exist as he wishes. either way they should take a stab at metal as a true rival in a way that matters again

i think it would have been really cool if supernatural had used a heavy classic hollywood three point lighting on angels, especially in s4-5 where the overall image is often dark. a strong backlight creating a natural halo around their hair, the absence of shadows on the face that makes the skin almost ethereal, the unnatural glimmer in the eyes — not only it would have given an eerie feeling to them compared to the humans, but framing them in a ‘classic’ way would have given them an ‘out of time’ feel that is characterising of angels, especially early on

Miles waking up in the middle of the night to a noise and he sees Hobie or Gwen struggling to climb into his room and they’re all bloodied and beaten, so he hurries up and ushers them in without even thinking about what to tell his parents if they wake up (which he can probably get away with saying that they’re a friend who came to him for help bc he technically isn’t lying and hello, badly injured kid in front of two parents) and rushing to grab first aid supplies to help as much as he can. Maybe there’s still a bloodied handprint on his windowsill when it’s all over (for better or worse), and he stares at it for a while. just thinking about his own life and what he wants to do with it outside of being Spider-Man. and then he cleans it up and goes about his day.
