Pulptober 28th: The Best of the Best - International Rescue
Really going back to some childhood memories here. I think I still have the F.A.B. Cross-sections hardcover book that showed you all the inner workings of the Thunderbirds, dog-eared from many a read.
Got to be the puppet one, though, the CGI show has little charm and the less said about the live action film, the better.

Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons Spectrum Agents’ Manual by Sam Denham and illustrated by Graham Bleathman (book review).
Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons Spectrum Agents’ Manual by Sam Denham and illustrated by Graham Bleathman (book review).
It’s hard to believe that the original ‘Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons’ TV series is now 50 years old. If anything, I’m surprised it’s taken so long for Haynes to do the ‘Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons Spectrum Agents’ Manual’. It would hardly be remiss of me to remind people that much of the history of Spectrum was in the 1967 Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons Annual’ which is still seen…

For my UK friends
From the one and only Graham Bleathman: One week to go until 'The FAB Worlds of Gerry Anderson', being held at the Space Centre in Leicester (16-17 Sept); I've have a table there and will be bringing some of the original (hand painted) artwork from the forthcoming 'Captain Scarlet Spectrum Agents' Manual', which will be published in the next few weeks by Haynes. Contributor Chris Thompson will also be at the event too! It's unlikely we'll have copies of the manual for sale in time for this, but I'll be happy to talk about the book and all the other bits and bobs I've done. I'll be bringing some prints, doing sketches and selling some of the older books I've done, depending how much stuff I can bring along!
For those who are unaware - Graham is the person who does the glorious cross sections of all the ‘Birds and other machines as well as some glorious artwork.
