Ligress chan of tigard or is the last unicorn screening tour’s october 2017 prizewinner selected at random from the 10 000 people who signed up as tour members at screenings ligress went to two different tour shows at the hollywood theatre in portland or and signed up on 11 1 2014 first of all one must thank peter s beagle for creating such an amazing and iconic story and maki a Every Day Is A Good Day When You Hunt T-Shirt the world of unicorns and importantly the first female unicorn written such a staple and muse for generations to come in his wonderful storytelling at the tour peter spoke of how the story kept coming back to him eventually taking on a life all its own and what a magical one I had the very precious experience of meeting peter himself twice and he was an absolute delight he even told me I smelled nice when we took a photo haha he is such a great guy I am so grateful for the amazing opportunity to be at at these events as well as the stellar receptions afterwards with peter and I was so surprised at being the october prizewinner october is a special and magical time for me as it is also the month of my birthday so it was as if my very own unicorn was reaching out i’ve included a few extra photos there s me in the costume I wore to the show a tlu pumpkin I carved around the time of the screening the signatures that dana simpson and peter put in the copy of phoebe and her unicorn that was given to me by a generous raffle winner at the show and a few of my favorite pieces of fanart I mean who can have enough last unicorn in their home including an art doll I commissioned from jenn loundon an art box crafted by and the rainbow unicorn that is my personal character ligress drawn by the last unicorn has meant a lot to me and has inspired me to persevere despite feeling what I think all people feel at one point am I the only one am I the last of my kind tlu taught me that if you are looking for magic truly looking you will see it because among all the falsehoods and lost hopes there is still magic to be found in the world and if you aren’t looking for a white mare instead of a unicorn you might just see the magic right in front of you thanks so much to everyone involved for sharing this amazing film with us and I hope to see everyone again at another showing keep the magic alive as her prize ligress selected a beautiful fine art print of a pre production concept watercolor painting by kubo one of the main animators and designers who worked on the film the print and her prize certificate have already been shipped to her congratulations ligress. I signed a record deal in the uk with ministry of sound today don’t worry this is a good thing I will finally have the money and resources to do exactly what I have wanted to do since I started making music i’ve not ‘sold out’ or anything like that i’m not changing I love and appreciate you guys my fans friends please stick with me this has grown from a hobby into something else only because of you guys
