Aku belum pernah naik gunung, berenang di laut pun tidak pernah sebelumnya. Karena kalau izin bilang ke ortu (re: mama), pasti tidak akan pernah dibolehkan. Naik gunung tidak dibolehkan karena mungkin khawatir aku tidak sekuat itu secara fisik. Berenang tak dibolehkan juga apalagi di laut, karena memang aku tak bisa berenang wkwk. Belum lagi dulu aku orang yang takut akan ‘ufuk’ - garis yang memisahkan bumi dari langit, gak tau kenapa. 

Ku pikir kalau ada pilihan disuruh memilih antara gunung dan laut, aku pilih gunung, karena adem, banyak unsur hijau, segar memanjakan mata. Belum lagi kalau lihat pemandangan dari atas puncak sana, (dari postingan temen2 yang naik gunung) masyaaAllah terlihat luar biasa. Maha Besar Allah dengan segala ciptaan-Nya. 

(Bukan maksud membanding-bandingkan ciptaan-Nya), pilihanku kini berubah setelah mencoba snorkeling (amatiran) waktu dinas ke daerah Sekotong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Oktober 2022 lalu. Hari terakhir setelah closing kegiatan pelatihan ke masyarakat penambang setempat, sekitar ba’da dzuhur mendadak sekali diajak oleh sang empunya acara untuk menyeberang ke gili-gili (Gili:  sebutan bagi daratan kecil atau pulau kecil yang dikelilingi oleh lautan) dekat tempat kami menginap. Konon terkenal bagus untuk snorkeling, tidak terlalu dalam, ombaknya juga aman katanya. 

Jadilah kami bertujuh menyewa kapal untuk menyeberangi Gili Nanggu, Gili Sudak dan Gili Kedis. Berbekal peralatan yang juga menyewa berupa selang berbentuk huruf J dengan pelindung mulut dan rompi pelampung, jadilah snorkeling. Iya, ini kali pertamaku. Butuh penyesuaian untuk bisa bernapas dengan baik di dalam air dengan selang itu.

Baru kedalaman sekitar setengah meter, sudah terlihat ikan-ikan cantik, deretan batu karang yang indah, bak akuarium (aduh lebay banget, tapi memang masyaaAllah). Kalau foto di atas ada di kedalaman sekitar 130an cm. Sejak saat itu aku jadi suka laut, karena keindahannya tidak hanya dinikmati bagian atasnya saja berupa birunya air laut, deburan ombak, putihnya pasir pantai, perpaduan air-langit-dan awan, tapi juga ada keindahan di bawahnya, yang jauh lebih memanjakan mata, memberikan kenang-kenangan, membuat tak henti berkata dalam hati, Subhanallah...Masyaa Allah..

Sekarang kalau ditanya pilih gunung atau laut, pilihnya laut. Soalnya masih belum pernah naik gunung, gak tau nanti apakah akan berubah lagi wkwk
