for the song meme: pick 10 questons you want to answer! :)
@monkeydluffy19920
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING ME SOMETHING TO WRITE ABOUT.
Like seriously.
Okay, 10 questions that I want to answer.
1: name 11 bands you listen to regularly
Morbid Angel, Undergang, Revenge, Cannibal Corpse, Darkthrone, Blasphemy, Grand Belial’s Key, Ungfell, Celtic Frost, Mayhem, and Mütiilation (all these bands currently)
2: is there a band with only one song you like?
“The End Complete” by Obituary. I feel like I should enjoy obituary since they are not only one of the founding fathers of death metal, but also Celtic Frost-worship; However, I could never get into them and the song above is pretty much the only song I actually enjoy from that band. Meh.
4: name a great band you recently discovered
Crucifier. They are Pennsylvanian death/black metal fronted by a former drummer/vocalist of Grand Belial’s Key. Pretty nasty stuff!
8: which song do you think should everybody listen to at least once in their lives?
Kronisk Betændelse I Tarmene by Undergang. The nastiest death metal band I have ever heard. Feel free to check it out, album cover might be a litte nasty though.
9: explain why your favourite song is your favourite song
“Shape Your Reality” by NorthTale is currently my favorite song, mostly because of the lyrics. They are very uplifting and encouraging and this is coming from someone who isn’t concerned with lyrics.
16: favourite album artwork?
Can I at least put in a few?
Aq’Ab’Al by Volhan. I love that prehispanic theme they do and this album artwork is very colorful which is different from a lot of other black metal bands which usually have covers like the next one I’m about to show you.
Mysteries by Black CIlice. This is your basic strip-down, simplistic, raw black metal album artwork. Most of these bands with those types of artwork get this from Transylvanian Hunger from Darkthrone, perhaps.
19: which bands would you like to see live one day?
Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Incantation, Revenge, Undergang, Blind Guardian, a lot of others but I never go to shows since they’re too far…
21: a musician whose music you enjoy but whom you dislike as a person or vice versa?
Gelal Necrosodomy of Grand Belial’s Key. He’s a musical genius when it comes to riffs. GBK are one of my favorite black metal bands since their style is very original. BUT! I will never support that band since the members including Gelal are pretty much neo-Nazi scumbags. The lyrics aren’t Nazi though, all they do is attack Christianity and Judaism as religions. Of course I don’t agree with lyrics but I separate music from musicians; I just don’t support them with the big buck$$$$$$$$ because I don’t wanna pay people who would fling feces at my face because I don’t look like them.
23: favourite singer (only for voice?) and favourite drummer/guitarist/bassist (only for playing their instrument)
For vocalist only is Hansi Kürsch from Blind Guardian. Well, he did use to play bass until their 6th album, but I specifically love his vocals. Not my favorite vocalist period since my favorite vocalists usually play instruments, but this is one that is only a vocalist.
Favorite guitarist is Trey Azagthoth of Morbid Angel of course!
25: somebody you absolutely adore as both a musician and a person
Fenriz of Darkthrone
This man is so beautiful. Very passionate about metal. Not only a multi-instrumentalist but also a collector of metal and he has his own radio show. He doesn’t like playing live, so you might think he is anti-social, but he is actually a very jolly fellow!

ARGHOSLENT “Galloping through the Battle Ruins”, CD 1998 (The truly accomplished first album from this quite unique-sounding American Heavy/Death Metal horde)
“As they made their journey in 1000 BC
Headed for Britain, they were subdued
By the Entity...
They erected Stonehenge for human sacrifice
War was in their blood, the air was cold as ice
Babies fed flesh to be warriors of the night
They fought to the death
The only way to fight
Fought in the town square
Hung their victim's heads
For all to see as appraisal to the gods
October 31st, spirits of the dead
The people left severed heads
Their practices were sound
It was the Entity...
"The king, he has died," the town cried
"Slice him open to see who follows," cried the priest
In 55 BC the Romans came from Rome
The Celts rode into battle to protect their bloody throne
Tied them to horses and nailed them to their homes
The Romans were destroyed in battle and driven to their boats
The Celts cheered in victory and drank from the skulls
The Entity has powered over the violent Celts
In conquest the entity and violence moved on
Carrying its plunge unto the next unknowing pawn”
