"OUR SLOGANS ARE ANARCHY & VIOLENCE" -- WELCOME TO 1984.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on the political beliefs of Japanese hardcore punk bamd G.I.S.M., the printed insert was included with the "P.E.A.C.E./War" double vinyl album released under the R Radical label in 1984. Also features here are sleeve illustrations for the "Detestation" LP and a portrait of the band.
NOTE: This is probably the first time I accurately post these lyrics, and damn near everything provided online is inaccurate. Thank you, R Radical Records!
"Endless blockades, Endless blockades,
Endless blockades for the pussyfooter,
You no way notice the demagogue,
You no way notice the militaristic,
You no way notice the bombing,
You no way notice the death in action.
They detest to awake you from fool,
They detest the united masses,
They detest the repressed people's scream,
They detest the departed spirits in third world.
Bloodly bomb, bloodly bomb,
Bloodly bomb descent to you.
They surely send you the demagogue,
They surely send you the militaristic,
They surely send you the bombing,
They surely send you the death in action."
-- "Endless Blockades for the Pussyfooter" (1984) by G.I.S.M.

"...HOGS INSTRUCT YOU TO GO TO HELL" -- WELCOME TO 1984, KIDS."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on hyper-focused metal/punk/industrial madman Sakevi Yokoyama of G.I.SM. donning paramilitary fashion and a Les Paul electric guitar onstage, as well as shots of G.I.S.M.'s late, great Randy Uchida. Date and location unknown, but more than likely somewhere in Tokyo, c. mid 1980s, possibly 1984.
Alright, so these shots are clearly all from the same gig (note Sakevi's military dress sense featured in all shots), but, alas, I wish I had more information to post on said gig. Also, I don't think shots these have been compiled in one quasi-complete set on Tumblr before, so that's pretty kool as well.

STILL REIGNING PATRON SAINT OF JAPANESE METAL-PUNK GUITAR.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on late, great guitar wizard Randy Uchida (1962-2001), of Tokyo-based hardcore punk/heavy metal/metal punk band, G.I.S.M., another legend lost.
Only two surviving members of the classic "Detestation" (1983-'84) line-up remain, as of typing this, and I just remembered that original G.I.S.M. drummer Tohru "Hiroshima" Monamour exited this mortal plane back in January 2022. Eternal hails!!

NOTE: Meant to do this post so many weeks ago, but I never thought for a million years I'd be posting it after his death only just a little under a week ago. Another legend lost.

JACKET DESIGN BY THE LATE, GREAT RANDY UCHIDA (✝) -- GROTESQUE IN ITS JAGGED, VICIOUS, & UNDILUTED BRUTALITY.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on close-up, isolated shots of the G.I.S.M. Detestation 12” LP sleeve art, pressed by Dogma Records/City Rocker Records, c. 1983.
Real shit, not that PC-as-fuck, wimp-ridden, censored tripe that Relapse has been pushing as of late, and I still can't believe Sakevi approved the edit of Randy's artwork in this recent reissue. It's downright disrespectful and fucking embarrassing, full stop. Poor Randy, man, and would he have even approved of Relapse's current path of self-censorship, I wonder? Obi strip, my arse. **smfh**
