(Wild concept that I came up with totally independently and totally not because I've been playing so much PAYDAY 3 lately)

What would your masks look like?

But I love foxes so I think I’d adorn a Japanese fox mask

As for snatcher I thought I’d be funny if he wore his own face on his mask(cause of course he’d do that) but I decided to expand on that a bit and make it look drippy like graffiti paint

Also I know you forgot to ask about moonjumper-

He was a bit tricky because he already has a mask-like face.

So I looked into some more payday masks and decided why not go with a more punk look

Snow Storm- Summons a big snow storm that the holder can disappear into.

Funk- The holder dispels a smell that has multiple purposes (calm someone, disorient enemies, etc.).

Pyrro the phoenix of Combustion

Inferno- The holder turns into fire.

Will-O-Wisp- Summons up to ten wisps that the holder can use to guide people, flame things on fire, etc.

Rebirth- The Cure.

Flight.

Viis the koi of Gravitation

Moonjump- Allows the holder to control gravity of themselves (and later of a small area).

Aquatic.

Lymm the opossum of Evasion

Loophole- Shows the holder the best way to get out of a situation.

Slight night vision.

Teffe the ferret of Curiosity

Apertio- Allows the user to travel to different pocket dimensions(Burrow, Ladybug’s yoyo, etc.).

Bell the goose of Intimidation

Ingeese- Increases the holder’s size.

Anurr the frog of Prosperity

Riches- Enhances the allies’ power.

Aquatic.

as much as i like the default outfit (a lot) my fav costume is definitely the comfy sweater! when i first played my fav hat flair was the dinosaur hood :) nowadays i think the most about the raccoon ears ice hat & default sprint hat. while i never payed any attention to it at all i lately took a liking to the ladybug band :) i dont remember where exactly i found its official, and ive lost the link to the account, but apparently there was an official a hat in time curiouscat account where questions were answered by hat kid? and a few years ago i looked through it and i remember there was something about her wanting to paint her nails red w black dots / the ladybag pattern..? so i think its probably a nod to that! also a flair i LUV is the headphones time hat, although not pictured.

aesthetically, my fav dye is the minty fresh one (pictured on the right), but one i feel the most strongly about is the blueberry pie because its one that always makes me recall an old friend talking about on their private blog. that makes it dear and nostalgic. oh, also, the ribbon is very cute :) i always think about snatcher helping hat tie it, even though shes most likely plenty capable of doing that herself lol

im also very attached to dweller masks, especially the fox and... pink... ones. i used to have a pinkmask dweller on my various social media icons at some point, as well as a blog about kinning it, essentially... i have mixed feelings about it but it was a nice time. in the beta, i believe its incredibly strongly implied that the fox mask belonged to the prince! i mean, its found in the cellar of a place painter/prince used to live in (according to betasnatcher at least), and moonjumpers theme was included in the ost renamed to "fox mask theme"... id say thats pretty explicit. i dont mind people having fun designing their own masks for them, but it really boggles my mind to know im probably the first ever person to publicly talk about this connection...

as for mods! the pleasant parka is adorable, im such a sucker for cute winter clothes ;_; & the miku scarf goes pretty well with the queens dress, with the snowflake motifs, even more so since i hc vanessa to having been a very sickly person. unrelated to mods, i never played w the justice dye but its so sweet seeing hat/bow emulate the way mu looks, i cant not read that in a positive light ;_;

the fox moonjumper looked cooler than the "final" moonjumper design (final in quotes bc technically he's not part of the game beyond a png and an easter egg)

there's always been something about moonjumper's final design that bothered me?? and i think the "fox" one suits him a little better esp with the fire spirits having used to be what you were to use in defeating him. and foxes tend to be tricksters in folktales and such.

#there are aspects of mj 'official' design i like but people who redesign him typically make him look a lot better when they do draw him LOL #a character's design often matters a lot to me unfortunately lol

hold on. why was everyone trying to create a new mask design for prince/snatcher when their mask is pretty heavily implied to be the fox one? i mean, in the beta it was obtained in vanessas manors attic, where they are mentioned to live at some point in their life by betasnatcher. + moonjumpers/cursed neths theme was literally renamed to be "fox mask theme"

*Bingle was waving his liddol paws in the air as Mu set him down, already bounding around the small group of bugs before trotting up to the web. The little shadow fox stared up at the web for a moment as he lowered his body to the ground and did the little wiggle cats do right before a pounce, jumping into the web like a fox pouncing head first into snow. Bingle actually ended up sticking to the web upside-down because of that, happily looking at the girls with a happy squeak while wiggling around in the web for more disturbance. Good boy Bingle- Bingle is the goodest boy-*

The girls couldn't help but smile at that. Mu giggled, nearly forgetting that Bingle was sitting in a death trap.

A few minutes passed without much of anything happening before Moonjumper lept out, landing squarely in the web, eyes glowing bright against the dark contrast of the forest.

This is all I could really focus long enough to do, so I hope you enjoy. Being real though being asked to draw Moonjumper and The Shape shifter made me really want to draw my many versions of Moonjumper and my currently one version of Shape shifter.

Why is that whenever I’m like- ok let’s make a drawing! It takes hours longer than expected? Welp at least it’s done.

Also you might realize Vanessa, Snatcher, and Moonjumper have different designs then their in game character and that’s because I didn’t want to just have them but smaller. So I gave them different outfits to make them those characters but children!

Oh hey, I’m awake. Barely, but awake enough to do a write up for MJ #2 while I have some time. I don’t have any plans to work on this other AU, but some thoughts have gone into it.

The basic premise plays with the idea of Beta Subcon and it being a place created within Tim’s mind that only Tim’s Friend can normally access, as he’s the one who takes Hat Kid in or out of Subcon. And instead of meshing old game Subcon with current game Subcon to enable MJ to exist, instead both exist separately. One is the Subcon we see in game, that actually exists and the other is a version of Subcon that does only exist within Tim’s mind and with differences from reality due to the fact that Tim himself doesn’t know Subcon too well, and was investigating until he got frozen in Vanessa’s. 

Tim never personally met Snatcher, but did get into Vanessa’s manor, so the manor area is the most accurate to the real life version. So he saw some of the notes and the paintings that showed Vanessa and her Prince. The Moonjumper only exists in Tim’s imagined version of Subcon, and was created in the attempts to piece together exactly what happened to everyone involved. A theory for what happened to the Prince, without having all of the information.

All of the characters that exist within Tim’s mind only have ‘memories’ and personalities based on what Tim made for them... But when an outside element gets thrown into this internal world, it changes some things. Mostly with MJ, because the Horizon that he exists on is on the fringe between this Subcon and the rest of Tim’s mind. MJ becomes at least partially aware of just what the forest he watches is, and the fact that a real person like Hat Kid could get in and (presumably) out, there’s a chance he can use her to get himself out as well.

(And some mess of the boundary between reality and the imagined world breaking down when he does escape, hence glitchiness, but it’s affecting the world in a general sense. Actual Stockholm syndrome Hat Kid in thinking she and MJ are friends. Having repressed memories that he knows are fake but still can’t fully escape because they’re still a core part of what made him. Hat Kid got the Fox Mask from imaginary Vanessa’s attic, and it’s still with her in the real world, and she can see the getting-less-imaginary version of the world when she wears it. Not just Time that’s getting messed up now, but Space between now parallel worlds. Chaos.)

#I don't know what it'll be called but for now #Unreality au #This is the trainwreck that happens when you take the beta world and the in game world and go 'both exist' and then slam em together #Things get unstable very quickly #Also Tim being alive but frozen and Tim's friend using Hat Kid to try and get him to use his own Time powers to unfreeze himself #Which; he does get unfrozen; but only because spiriting Hat Kid away somewhere has consequences with who looks for her #Tim's friend: I took a calculated risk. But man am I bad at math
