I need to vent. I hate being autistic. I spent all my life practicing actually creating art, and the second I actually start receiving commissions for the first time, ai shows up and shits all over it. Now all the skills iv built are utterly worthless. I can't even get a normal job like being a cashier because I'm autistic. I can't imagine having to stand around, scanning people through, in a loud and overestimating environment. I have 0 skills aside from drawing and 3d models, and even then it's borderline

the waiters at the restaurants you and zhongli frequent have learned to put the check down in front of you, not him.

it was a steep learning curve. your boyfriend is so naturally put together and wears such expensive clothes that who wouldn’t think he’s worth a million mora and more? but after the first several times of you grabbing the check, barely looking at the total, and putting down the correct amount and more, they learned you were the one to go to.

although there was one time this golden rule was broken. you and zhongli were returning from a shopping spree—on you, of course, considering the dust in zhongli’s wallet—when you decided to grab dinner. the waiter welcomed you with a polite smile and took your orders.

everything was going as normal, except for that when the check came, it was zhongli who reached for it, zhongli who glanced at the total, and zhongli who paid.

the waiter was polite enough not to drop open his mouth for too long and quickly accepted the total and generous tip. he turned, thankful and muttering something about buying a lottery ticket, and didn’t catch zhongli sheepishly sliding you your credit card under the table.

xiao glares at you, but it’s half-hearted at best. he grabs the shirt and enters the changing room. the shopping spree was your idea, of course, and after a little but of grumbling, xiao relented to your financial whims.

“how does it fit?” you call out. xiao pokes his head our of the dressing room, and then steps out. his face has a subtle frown on it, but you dismiss that as him getting tired—this is the eighth store you’ve visited, after all.

“it looks great!” you compliment. you turn to the store associate. “we’ll buy it.” you hand over your credit card and they hurry off.

you turn back to xiao and find his frown has curled into an exasperated smile.

“you do realize that’s the tenth shirt you bought for me today.”

“so?” you ask. you cross your arms and pretend to pout. xiao opens his mouth to say something else, maybe tell you off for spending so much money on him, but doesn’t. he only kind of sighs and heads back into the changing room, making a mental note to never agree to another shopping spree again (even though he totally will).

ayato

when the check lands on the table, it is as if a miniature thunderstorm has started brewing in the restaurant. the waiter acknowledges the strange new tension in the air and scampers off, leaving you and ayato to face off against each other.

your hand lands on the check first, ayato’s a beat behind.

“let go,” you hiss under your breath, making sure to keep up your demure smile.

“you first.” ayato’s eyes are wicked and taunting, and his smile widens when you start to pull it towards you. it’s a dance you’ve both done several times before. this is nothing new.

“it’s my turn to pay.”

“you already paid earlier.”

“i have the money.”

ayato’s laugh is short and quick.

“so do i.”

you sigh and shake your head. you’re both so stubborn that you could dress this battle out for hours and leave the poor waiter in distress.

“fine,” you say, relenting. ayato’s eyebrows quirk up in surprise before you continue, “we’ll split the check. let me just see how much it is.”

his grip loosens by a fraction and you yank the check out, stuff in your credit card, and hand it off to the waiter before ayato can even blink.

“why you—“

“oh, please, just let me treat you—i’ll let you pay next time, okay?”

you both know that’s a lie.

Hey nonnie, thank you for the sweet ask.

Well it all began from this trip.

Bucky had a habit of using Russian nicknames, he was ridiculous yet endearing. You giggled and fell more in love whenever he said “my babochka, malyshka, milyy” etc.

Even though he calls you doll most of the times, everyone knows. Even Steve calls you doll and he is allowed to call you doll but not Sam. Hence Bucky came up with Russian nicknames, something that will be between the two of you.

You tried to come up with Russian nicknames for him, but damn the language is so hard!

One day suddenly a nickname popped into your head, one that matched his childish yet endearing personality. You looked at him and called him “Bubba”, he laughed under his breath and rolled his eyes.

Did he liked the nickname? Yes. Will he tell you that? Nope. Does he want you to stop calling him "Bubba"? HELL NO!

It was a small moment, one that seemed insignificant at first. But Bucky latched onto the nickname you had given him, and never let go. Soon, he was demanding to be called “Bubba” at all times, only by you. It was as if he could no longer live without hearing the nickname from your lips, no matter the situation. You could sense him melting when you simply uttered the name. Bucky became obsessed with the nickname you gave him, and it was adorable.

He would give you the angry puppy look whenever you called him by his true name. It was anger, but not the kind you would see in a dangerous person or a villain. It was akin to a puppy pouting when it wants something, complete with doe-like eyes and his signature pouty lips. He would give you that look when you didn't call him "Bubba", his hands going to his hips in indignation.

There was one time when you forgot to call Bucky by his nickname. Rather, you called him by his true name without thinking. Immediately, Bucky froze and his expression turned to worry and confusion.

To him, not using the nickname means something is wrong. In his mind, he had done something to disappoint you and made you angry, which meant you no longer wanted to address him in your special way. Bucky thought he had done something wrong and was preparing for the repercussions.

It would take lots of sorrys and special care to make him believe, he didn't do anything. So what you have to kiss his pout numerous times!?

Sometimes it would take more than just kissing. How dare you forget to call him "Bubba"? Now you have to choke on his worried hard cock. He pouts.

The only time you were allowed to call him Bucky was when you, both are intimate.

“but you can,” kaeya replies. he wears his most charming—and disarming—smile.

you give him a look, and he holds up his hands as if to say: don’t look at me like that; i’m not wrong.

“yes, i can—but that doesn’t mean i should.”

“why shouldn’t you? you’re doing great in the class, you always tell me the professor doesn’t know how to teach anyways.”

you’re silent for a second, but that single second is all it takes for kaeya to know he’s won. you can’t find an excuse not to go—maybe if you try harder, you might, but you’re tired, and deep down, you don’t really want to go, either.

you turn to kaeya, and you both stop.

kaeya strikes first. “i know you don’t like skipping class—but it’s been ages since we’ve been on a proper date, and i miss you.”

he’s right, of course. you barely have any free time outside of class, and when you do, kaeya has class, or you’re both too tired to go on a formal date.

“just this once,” kaeya adds, and you relent.

you’re convince this boy could charm you info eating ice cream in the north pole, and you’d probably enjoy it, too.

“i shouldn’t,” you repeat again.

“you shouldn’t,” kaeya confirms.

“but i want to.”

the crack of a smile. “but you want to.”

dottore

you and dottore are both teaching assistants. as a TA, you’re very fair, grading mostly for completeness and effort. but dottore… well, you’re convinced he’s addicted to red ink, given how much he scribbles corrects and comments on his reports and papers.

“if you were my TA during undergrad,” you say, peering at the paper of dottore’s current victim, “i would have hated you.”

“oh?” dottore makes another red mark, and then sets his pen down. he thinks for a second, then looks at you and responds, “i don’t think you would.”

“what makes you say that?”

“i wouldn’t be doing this to your paper.”

“what? why?”

dottore looks at you as if you’ve just asked what color the sky is. “because you’re brilliant, intelligent, and actually know how to write a decent paper.”

“more than decent,” you correct him.

“yes, more than decent,” dottore amends with a faint smile. “and of course, because you’re my partner.”

an indignant laugh bubbles up from you.

“that’s academic dishonesty,” you say, trying to sound stern. you don’t know how well you’re doing with it, given you’re also trying to suppress a smile.

“oh, please,” dottore says. he returns a more mischievous version of your smile. “since when did i ever care about that?”

Clement Mansell 💘 🎶

Howdy, friend! Tysm for all of your beautiful work!! 🖤

Clement Mansell is my favorite Boyd character. I love him because he's psycho, playful, cool, and casual all at the same time, then later we see he even has a hurt/brooding mood. He's impulsive but has dreams he stays focused on. Not many actors could pull all of this off together (in a miniseries no less), and it astounds me how perfectly cast Boyd was. He made it look totally natural. Never felt out of character. Naturally, I also love some physical things about him, which you've so beautifully captured in your gifs: the way he moves, his bulge, his tattoos, his wardrobe. And he's sexy as hell with Sandy. I'm convinced Dr. Mansell's special treatment could cure any ailment I ever have.

I love his voice--speaking AND singing. Speaking - e1 in the Casino when he says, "but I ain't gonna" [wait]. Help!!! Combined with the profile shot of him right after he says it--casino lighting makes his hair and features look a little darker. He always looks good but the way his (lowered) voice matches that shot 🤌🏼.

The White Stripes are my favorite band of all time. When Clement sang Seven Nation Army in e1 it took me OUT. I HAD to find out what version of the song it was because I'd never heard it and it was so good. Only to find out it was BOYD?? MY HEART!!! I want a full length track so bad. For the first time in 20 yrs I admitted someone other than Jack sounded better on Jack's song. And then it was more than just that song. A whole ongoing theme of how much he loves my fave band of all time?? When someone asks, "How are we gonna nail this jack white wannabe?"

I love Clement so much I've already watched the series three times in less than a month 🙊.
