in life updates: decided to enroll in a notoriously difficult class this semester. civil law is my achilles heel, and i also wanted to force myself into better study habits and time management.
last week, i took the midterm and braced myself for a fail: despite improvements in the way i prepared for class and spoke during cold calls, i'd still been struggling over the semester. after the exam ended, i went and checked the schedule for dropping classes.
one week later. dear reader, i passed.
One of the fucking... saddest things about Kit is that, after his dad dies, he's fully contextless
Like. Everyone who knew him is either dead or turned his back on him. He is now one of the people he's been taught to hate, and they're busy with their own shit, too, so it's not like anyone besides maybe the twins has time to help him w that!
He doesnt know any of those bitches!!
Imagine losing everything you ever had. Your family, your friends, your house, your belongings, your very sense of self....
Is it any wonder Kit clung to Ty so tightly it broke him?
“How does a 7 year old have a gun?…I’m only here because my husband is in the military or otherwise I would have not chosen to come to this country”
A British woman after a 6 year old shot his teacher at Richneck Elementary School in Virginia!
This is the reality of the gun culture in America, and it will never change. It's about as low as a contemporary civilized civilization can go for a six-year-old to have access to a gun and know how to use it. And no one in power is concerned. Unfortunately, nothing will change in this nation. A normal country wouldn't make these weapons available
This is Abby Zwerner, 25-years-old from Williamsburg, Virginia, the first grade teacher shot by a 6-year-old student in her classroom. 👇
miss wyvernne how did you like your first year of law school!!( Im thinking about going to law school n I want a good gauge at what it’s like)
it was honestly so much better than i thought it would be. it’s a lot of work, and i won’t downplay that. just constant reading and studying, often at the expense of sleep and rest. but it absolutely flew by. i got my final grades back this past week and it really sunk in that i did it. it definitely took the first semester to settle into the groove of it, and a lot of overthinking that i was making a terrible mistake. but if you’re willing to put in the work and can find a solid way to cope with the stress then it is absolutely worth it. people talk smack about lawyers but it is super rewarding knowing that we can help people in some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
