I really like how the characters in elden ring are so flawed, but in a unique way. Like some of them are fully aware that they are flawed but most of them completely believe they're in the right and you can understand their perspective. Usually we know how their pov is flawed because we know something they don't, so many characters worldviews are born of ignorance and I think that's a really interesting way to make characters complex without just making them morally grey.

#something something themes #like fia for example #you can see where shes coming from but what she doesnt know is that there is no bringing godwyn back #his soul is gone it hasnt simply moved on #his soul was destroyed in exchange for rannis body being destroyed #death in the lands between is very confusing but this one thing i am certain of #its also likely she is taking vitality from the champions and returning it to the corpse but that doesnt bring back the soul #in very simplified terms #im saying fia is the person talking to an aichatbot-tells it to say its alive- then gets scared when it says its alive #or maybe im wrong. only time and the dlc will tell

i love that the entire race they said over and over max wouldn’t be champion this race. they kept saying it, making graphics, etc. and then as if the gods smiled upon this man with disgusting taste in shoes, he learns he’s world champion in a post race interview
