#Arbys #ArbysBigGameBurger #MixedMeatBurger #FastFoodBurgerReview
I tried the Arby's Big Game Burger and it was pretty good.
This was microwaved and I forgot to weigh this burger but I ate some of it but it was 204 with one bite taken out of it so the burger might have weighed less than the serving grams which is 272.
The buns and burger meat were both firm but also soft in texture.
The burger tasted like beef at first then had a light game meat elk flavor at the end.
The cherry steak sauce was lightly sweet and had a barbeque taste to it with a light cherry taste at the end.
The pickles and onions were thin and light crunchy and the swiss cheese did melt but swiss had a light taste to it.
My guess is that if you get a more flavorful cheese it might overpower the burger's flavor.
This burger didn't taste salty to me.
I would eat this again.

A delicious fast food meal can be enjoyed, and my most recent trip to Wendy's left me with a taste that lingers. This time, I chose the delicious Bacon Cheeseburger Melt meal, which came with a flavorful burger, crunchy fries, and a cool drink. Compared to other fast food restaurants, the portion of fries was a little bit less, but what they missed in size, they more than made up for with quality. There was no question that the fries were prepared from real, healthy potatoes because each one was wonderfully crunchy and still had a tiny bit of skin on it.
I then chose a cool Coke Zero to go with my meal as the accompanying beverage. Even if the soda size was smaller than anticipated, it still had a good purpose. The distinct cola flavor and carbonation were precisely what I required to improve the overall experience. The smaller serving size made it possible for me to enjoy each sip without feeling overwhelmed, even though a larger drink size could have been preferred. To satisfy a wide range of tastes and preferences, Wendy's offers a selection of beverage alternatives, guaranteeing that everyone can find something to quench their thirst.
The Bacon Cheeseburger Melt lunch at Wendy's was a lovely fast food experience, from the delightfully crunchy fries produced from genuine potatoes to the refreshing Coke Zero. The fries and soda were of commendable quality and taste despite the lesser portion sizes. But the delectable burger, which was topped with cheese, bacon, and mushrooms, was the real highlight of the meal. The beautiful blending of the tastes resulted in a burger that made an impact. Any food aficionado looking for a tasty and filling fast food delight must try Wendy's Bacon Cheeseburger Melt meal.

Doing what works: a food review
During my journey in sweden if found a chain called "Bastard Burgers" that is probably well known in scandinavia since most bigger cities have one. I found it pretty interesting how they presented themselves, walls black with punk imagery and their name ofc all in a weathered look.
Also the music fit the theme, they played mostly songs that seem similar to the 2000- 2010 rap era.
The way the rest of the experience is handled seems like a direct copy of mcDonalds. The furniture is simple, the layout of tables is quite good. You go in, order at one of their touch displays, wait for your order and get your food once the number is called. Quick service, minimal interaction.
People who know me also know my dislike for mcDonalds, so why do i like this chain? Well the key difference is the quality of the food. While it is not cheap, 227SEK (19€) buys you one menu consisting of a double patty burger, a portion of fries and a drink, the quality of the food speaks for itself. The fries are a really nice combination of crunchy and soft inside and salted enough too. The burger was actually a huge surprise to me, it looked as good as advertised (not like at another cetain fast food chain), abd the burger felt very rich in taste, even if its was a little too oily for me personally.
Now to the nitpicky part, which hinestly isn't a lot but i feel like i should add it ontheless. The first thing that i noticed was the low amount of drink options. You could only order the standard soft drinks like coke or pesi and a few others plus 4 local swedish softdrinks. The second thing that bothered me ties into the first. When i payed for my order there was an option to not print a reciept, all green with some leaves on it, ofc implying that it is so environmentally friendly to not print one. Ofc it is, you save exactly one piece of thermal printing paper, however what is bothering me about this is that they didnt brong this concept over into other ares like the drinks. This are only served in aluminium cans even if you tell them that you are going to dine in.
Rating
I feel like Barstard Burgers offers a pretty nice dining experience with really solid (but not amazing) food in a very short amount of time, neatly packaged in the tested and broadly liked, typical mcDonalds ordering process. All for, by swedish standards, an ok price.
Service: 7/10
Ambiance: 8/10
Food: 7/10
Value: 7/10 (this is in comparison to the relatively high regional prices)
Not outstanding but very solid, would come here again if i felt the need for a quick burger.

Male model
Male model Darren had always dreamed of walking the runways of big fashion shows in Italy and Paris, showcasing the latest designs from top designers. And his dream came true. Darren was known for his chiseled features, sharp jawline, and perfectly toned physique. He was the epitome of what the fashion industry considered the ideal male body. However, everything changed when the world was hit by the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
Tumblr media
As the first four weeks of lockdown began, Darren found himself confined to his home. With no photoshoots or fashion shows to attend, he started to spend most of his time indulging in comfort foods. The lack of physical activity and the stress of the situation caused him to gain weight rapidly.
Tumblr media
Weeks went by, and Darren found himself down on his luck. His once slender body was now a bit plumper, and his modeling career was suffering. But fate had something different in store for him. A fast-food chain, Big Burger, impressed by his unique transformation, decided to approach Darren. They wanted him to be the face of their brand, capitalizing on his relatability to the general public. The offer was tempting, promising a hefty paycheck and a chance to regain his popularity.
Tumblr media
Darren, despite his reservations, decided to take the offer. He thought that once the campaign was over, he could go back to his old life and lose the extra weight. Little did he know that this decision would gradually change the course of his life. In an attempt to shed off some excess weight, Darren embarked on a weight loss journey. With the help of a personal trainer and nutritionist, he managed to lose 5kg. However, just as he was beginning to see progress, his manager had other plans for him.
Another campaign for Big Burger, this time promoting their new burger known as "The Big Burger," was on the horizon. The company insisted that Darren put on more weight to portray their idea of the perfect consumer. Reluctantly, he agreed, knowing that it would mean sacrificing his own happiness for financial gain.
Tumblr media
Also other food companies started sending him an array of mouth-watering treats and samples to promote on his social media channels. Darren found himself overwhelmed by the constant influx of food while struggling to maintain his weight and image. Nevertheless, his manager saw this as an opportunity and suggested that Darren start a podcast reviewing food products around the world.
As his career skyrocketed, Darren's weight ballooned. His previous model clients refused to book him for their campaigns, citing his size as the main reason. Deeply frustrated, Darren began to long for the glamour and success he once had. He confided in his manager, expressing his desire to lose weight and get back in shape.
Tumblr media
Sympathetic to Darren's concerns, his manager arranged a deal with a reputable gym to help him shed the excess weight. However, just as he was getting ready to embark on his journey, Big Burger offered him an enticing three-year contract. They promised him stability, incredible earnings, and fame, but the condition was that he couldn't lose weight. Struck by the allure of financial security, Darren reluctantly accepted the offer, believing that he would be able to lose weight once the contract was over. Month by month, he had photoshoots for new products, made social media posts, and received an abundance of food and meals sent directly to his doorstep.
His fame grew, not as a fashion model but as the food reviewer he unintentionally became. The money kept rolling in, but Darren grew increasingly unhappy with his appearance. He was kut of breath fast and tying his shoes became a workout at itself. He decided to secretly visit the gym and after only a few weeks he lost 10kg.
During his next photoshoot, the photographer was surprised by Darren's leaner appearence. The pictures turned out to be fantastic, but just as he was basking in his success, he received a call from the big boss of Big Burger. The boss warned Darren that if he continued losing weight, his contract would be terminated. In an attempt to fail his weightloss regime, a big box of sweet snacks arrived at his doorstep, accompanied by a note expressing apologies for their strictness.
While guilt washed over him during his indulgence in the snacks, Darren found solace in the gym. He focused solely on building muscle without engaging in any cardio exercises. The boss's presents continued for weeks, and as a result, his muscles popped, and his belly grew once again.
Tumblr media
Instead of feeling dejected, Darren grew happier with his newfound bulkiness. He decided to embrace his weight and the attention he received at the gym from other big men who admired his strength. Every few days, he received surprises from Big Burger and other food chains, all expressing their happiness and love for him.
Months turned into years, and Darren became unrecognizable. With his size constantly increasing, his bank account overflowed with money, but he was no longer content with his appearance. He missed the glamour of his past life and the feeling of confidence that being fit and healthy had brought him.
Tumblr media
Darren felt a mix of guilt and determination as he stared at the feast before him. He decided to channel his guilt into motivation, guilt for enjoying the snacks to the fullest but not giving up on his fitness journey. He immediately went to the gym and worked out without any cardio, craving the unity of his mind and body. This cycle continued for two weeks. His muscles bulked up, and his belly expanded as he consumed all the snacks provided by Big Burger. He received unwavering support from his followers and fans on social media, celebrating his transformation in every post.
Embracing his new body, Darren made a life-altering decision. He chose to let go of social standards and expectations and embraced his weight. With every passing day, he became more confident and happy in his frame.
Surprises from Big Burger, along with other food companies, kept flooding in. They admired Darren's loyalty and dedication to their brand, constantly sending him food and treats. His fame solidified not only as a male model turned food reviewer but also as a symbol of unabashed self-acceptance.
Tumblr media
With every passing day, Darren's fame and bank account grew, but it was his inner happiness that truly bloomed. He had discovered that being comfortable in his own skin was worth more than any fashion show or modeling contract.

it's like. you go to a new burger place. everyone's said it's really good. there was a soft opening a while ago that people really enjoyed and gave a lot of feedback on and they're looking forward to seeing that feedback incorporated. you order a combo meal. they give you one burger. and the burger's... fine, good even, but it's not enough to make you full, and you ordered and paid for a combo meal. you ask one of the employees if there's really no drink or fries as part of the combo meal. they tell you that they thought the fries might just be a bit too much for a meal and people would get bored of them after the burger. you're like okay that's bizarre, nobody's ever had that opinion about a burger and fries combo, that's like the definition of a fast food meal. what about the drink? they tell you the soda machine hasn't been assembled yet but it should be soon, they'll keep customers posted. tap water is free though of course. the water tastes a little mineral-y in a weird way but it's water, it's fine. you go home and feel ripped off. the burger was good but you didn't expect or pay for just a burger, and it's really disappointing given all the hype. a week later you get a knock on your door. it's delivery. you didn't order it. you're told that it's free to everyone who ordered a combo meal at the grand opening, it's fries and a drink, because they received a lot of customer feedback about wanting fries and a drink. you already ate the burger a week ago so it seems kind of weird to be given just fries and a drink now. right, the delivery guy tells you, we also changed the burger based on customer feedback, so you can try eating it again. a lot of people didn't like the onions so there's no more onions in the burger and the meat/fat ratio's different. you tell him you like onions on your burger. he shrugs and leaves. you try the fries. they weren't fully cooked through. this cycle repeats for the next year, the burger place is still getting rave reviews the entire time and being credited with revitalizing fast food, and it's called larian studios

A few facts about the characters of "Baki the grappler"
Characters: Baki, Hanayama, Katsumi, Jack, Retsu.
Baki
Food
- it may seem that he prefers something simple, but he doesn't mind trying unusual food combinations. According to the type of ice cream with French fries.
- traditional Japanese cuisine on weekdays and fast food on weekends. He likes to treat himself to a big burger on Saturday night. Although he will have to work hard afterwards to get himself back in shape.
- has a neutral relationship with alcohol. He can drink during the holiday, but usually tries to abstain.
Leisure
- you can't tell from him, but he reads quite a lot, although he can't be called a bookworm. He definitely likes manga and comics, as well as something light from Japanese classics. He reads to relax, so he doesn't want to strain his brain.
- he likes to play board games. He is quite experienced in them, but in some cases, fortune does not favor him.
- walking in the fresh air. As I said, he just wants to relax, so contemplating nature is perfect for that. He likes the prospect of going somewhere to the countryside and staying there to live.
Moment:
It was early in the morning, when the city had not yet had time to wake up. The young man was sitting on a bench in the park, which was close to his house. Despite the fact that summer had already arrived, it was quite cool outside, but the young man did not seem to notice this. Hanma has been visiting this place quite often lately. Perhaps it was here that he could fully relax. His thoughts were confused, like the thoughts of a man who had just woken up, he was thinking about everything and at the same time about nothing. However, he noticed all the peculiarities of his environment. For example, he noticed that the birds were calling to each other today more briskly than usual, and also that this morning was warmer than yesterday, but it was still a little cool for summer... He liked it... And he also liked to have such a carefree time... This is the kind of environment he wants to spend his life in...
Hanayama:
Food
is mmmm... He loves Japanese fast food. You know, quick fried meat in batter with vegetables and various sauces. Or udon in a small but cozy eatery. But he needs really big portions.
- he also likes traditional Japanese dishes, but he prefers not to eat them too often.
- Alcohol? He is an expert in this. It may seem that he drinks only strong drinks, but he is also very well versed in the lungs. Hana also belongs to the type of people who drink and do not get drunk.
Leisure
- naturally, he spends a lot of time in bars. He knows all the bars in Tokyo. And he wrote a review for each, all the pros and cons of the institution were taken into account. He finds this way of spending time very entertaining.
- he likes to play billiards when he has free time. And he's pretty good at it. Despite his size, he is adept at this.
- fishing. Ohhh, he's a pro at this. And how else can you call a man who went to a shark with his bare hands? But even in less extreme conditions, he finds pleasure in fishing.
Moment:
A hard day. This is perhaps the most plausible description of what happened today. There are so many issues that need to be resolved "urgently", so many people who do not understand what they want from him... It exhausted him. His head was throbbing violently, preventing him from concentrating...What was he thinking about? Yes, there's nothing to talk about.Hana was in the very state when a person's mind is filled with various short memories that have no connection with each other...And he didn't have a single sensible thought in his head. He lit a cigarette as usual. And he himself did not understand how he ended up where he is now. It was one of the idzkai he frequented...Heh, perhaps this really was the best option to relax. The young man sat down at the counter and waited for his order... and for some reason, he was already feeling better now. My head didn't hurt so much anymore, and there was no annoying carousel of memories. Hana waited for his order and to his delight, the food really helped him. In some cases, even such small things can make you feel better.
Katsumi:
Food
- HOMEMADE FOOD. To give Natsue her due, she cooks beautifully, so Katsumi's favorite food is homemade food. He doesn't even have a preference, he just loves it and he'll eat whatever they give him.
- he also likes strange food combinations. He is always ready to try something new, but he already has his favorite combinations. I can assume that this is watermelon and feta cheese or popcorn with hot sauce
- relationship with alcohol... Well, he only drinks on holidays, but Katsumi doesn't know the measure. If he drinks, he gets completely drunk. He doesn't know the measure at all.
Leisure
- bowling. He just likes this kind of leisure activity. And he became almost a master at it.
- he likes to sing and not only in the shower. Therefore, one of his favorite ways to spend time is karaoke. He might not be a brilliant singer himself, but he puts his whole soul into it.
- cooking. In this, perhaps, it cannot be said that he is a great master, but he really likes to learn this. He was already delighting himself with a couple of simple dishes. However, it should be noted that his dishes are a little overcooked.
Moment:
He decided to put himself under stress again. There was no other way he could have called it. Of course he liked cooking, but what was happening was terrible. The heated oil splashed in all directions, he spilled something on the floor, broke a couple of plates, and a mountain of dishes in the sink was waiting for him. Is it not a horror? Nevertheless, Katsumi was determined that he would cook this dish. Why didn't he go the easier way? Why didn't you just order what you wanted? After all, he could have asked Natsueh to cook this dish, why didn't he? There were several reasons. First, he liked it. Yes, despite what was happening, he still enjoyed cooking. And he didn't expect a good result at all, he just enjoyed the process. The second is his stubbornness. Is something wrong with him? So what, he will do it as many times as it takes for a decent result. It's a challenge for him. It's a tough call. He had to sweat a lot, but... God, he was really glad... The food was good. But as usual, it is slightly peppered.
Jack:
Food
really has no preferences. All that can be eaten is food for him.
- however, he highlights the Canadian cuisine. After all, this is his native kitchen. One of his favorite dishes is cream cake and "nanaimo"
- attitude to alcohol? Mmmm... Given his lifestyle, we can say that he does not drink at all. But sometimes when he can't sleep, Jack will drink a glass of tincture, but no more. Most likely, he will be able to put tinctures.
Leisure
- He likes to swim. This is an ideal way for him to practice and relax. Besides, he is fond of diving. (So it's ideal for him if he lives somewhere near the sea or a deep lake. This is one of his dreams.)
- he can play the guitar. Despite the fact that he trains almost all the time, he also finds time to practice it. His game is at the amateur level, but it's also not bad.
- What is it? Just like Bucky, he can't be called a bookish character, but he has a couple of bookshelves. Jack prefers little-known works by popular authors. And his favorite genres of books can be called detective and fiction.
Moment:
Quiet. It's late in the evening, it's about one or two in the morning. The noise of the city is no longer audible, only the quiet rustle of leaves and the occasional rumble of water. The atmosphere is wonderful... However... The young man had not been able to sleep for about two hours and it began to bother him. Instead of lying on the bed, he could have done something more useful with a light... well, or at least interesting. Reading was perfect. Jack sat up in bed, turned on the lamp, picked up a book lying on one of the bedside tables and plunged into one of those most amazing worlds that are considered fiction or a fairy tale, and call it fiction. Hanma was quite picky about literature, although he didn't read much. But this book was really interesting to him. Why? Perhaps it was an interesting plot, or curious descriptions of the area, or dialogues of the characters, or... Why guess? Jack liked this book because he could use it to distract himself. There was no hint of the real world in it. Not once in the entire book has there been a hint of problems that were in the real world. And the young man didn't think it was a bad thing. On the contrary, he liked it. It brought lightness, calmness and calmness to his life... Perhaps... A little bit of happiness...
Retsu:
Food
is Chinese cuisine. To say that he loves her will not be enough... He RESPECTS her. He respects her all. From dishes in street eateries to home cooking.
- Japanese cuisine is in second place after Chinese cuisine for him. However, he is extremely critical of her. Retsu tries to eat right, so he carefully monitors what he eats.
- does Retsu drink? Exclusively on holidays. But if there is an opportunity, he will refrain from doing so. He really doesn't like alcohol.
Leisure
- cooking. And he's a pro at it. He has been cooking since childhood, he has a wealth of experience and his knowledge in cooking is still being replenished. He read a lot of books on cooking and watched a huge number of programs on this topic. He is completely enlightened, as it might seem. However, he claims that he still has a lot to grow.
- reading. But he can be called a bookworm. He read everything from classics to manga. And this made him extremely selective in the collection of works. For Retsu, the book is needed not only to relax or distract himself, but also to rethink life. The book is a source of wisdom for him.
- he is fond of photography. And in this he is at the beginner stage. But he learns fast. He likes to photograph animals and plants. He also likes to shoot landscapes.
Moment:
"Yes, this is what we need... This kind of view definitely needs to be captured." This was the first thought that came to Retsu's mind. And the scenery was really spectacular. Mount Fuji. The height is 3776. And it's amazing. The young man was really happy despite the cold and the long journey. Taking out his camera, Retsu started taking pictures... huh... Amazingly... But the camera did not transmit even a tenth of the landscape... However, the footage was amazing. Retsu didn't have much experience in photography, he was still a beginner. How did he come to this? Why photos? Everything is simple. There have been changes in it. Let's just say his mindset has changed. The young man seemed to rethink his life... And I made a conclusion. He needs to slow down. Pay a little more attention to his environment. Watch the world more. That's why he chose photography. With his help, Retsu had the opportunity to forever contemplate what he had captured.
I don't think I'll pull part 2, heh.

I KNOW I HAVEN’T GOTTEN TO REQUESTS YET BUT… i was soooo inspired by this post here that i had to write out a fic… @tum-bakery you never fail to inspire me with ur a.ce a.ttorney or stuffedronpa content
forgive me for any grammatical mistakes or anything of the sort, i wrote this really quick on mobile
Fly On The Wall
ship: w.rightworth
this fic contains: bloated belly, burps, belly rubs, button popping
TLDR: m.iles accidentally spies on p.hoenix stuffing himself after court one day.
In Miles and Phoenix’s shared cozy apartment, the aroma of fast food filled the air as Phoenix Wright sat at the kitchen table, surrounded by empty wrappers and containers that littered their kitchen counter. The attorney was working his way through his final half-eaten burger: work made him absolutely starving, so he decided to indulge and grab extra food on the way home from work. Grease stained his fingers as he took another bite, his movements once quick and efficient were now slow and labored, like he was chewing molasses. His eyelids drooped, tiredness hitting him like a truck. He was so tired that, in fact, he failed to notice his boyfriend Miles Edgeworth staring at him from the other room.
Miles sat at the dining room table, head turned to stare at Phoenix’s form. Legal documents remained bare, his laptop dimmed from the lack of usage to save battery. The attorney hadn’t even said as much as a ‘hello’ to Miles before he shoved the food onto the kitchen counter and began eating. And Miles has been watching him. Silently observing him this whole time. Like a fly on the wall, it’s like he wasn’t even there.
Phoenix’s once trim abdomen now bulged outward, straining against the fabric of his shirt as though pleading for mercy. The buttons threatened to pop open under the pressure. Labored breaths filled the room as he finally polished off the burger he held in his hand. Phoenix leaned back in the chair to close his eyes for a moment, a soft sigh escaping him as one hand now rubbed the side of his taut belly. His bloated belly protruded prominently, dominating his lap.
That was nearly the end of Miles. He felt his face grow red, cheeks hot to the touch as he quickly looked away. He stared at his dim laptop screen, the words in the email he was writing becoming jumbled in his head. All he could think about was Phoenix. How devourable and amazing he looked at that very moment. The prosecutor attempted to force himself back to work, leaning forward in the chair to look down at a sheet of paper he had next to the computer. As Miles attempted to meticulously review the legal intricacies of the case, noises started coming from the kitchen and he couldn't help but be distracted. Phoenix belched several times — and with each burp, Miles’ attention wavered, his thoughts drifting from his work to the scene playing out before him.
He had to look at Phoenix again. His gaze darted over to look at the man sitting at the kitchen counter. Phoenix was now gently rubbing his overfilled belly, hoping to alleviate some of the discomfort. His hand moved in slow circles, tracing the contours of his swollen abdomen as he tried to soothe the ache within. Miles watched with a mixture of amusement, bewilderment and affection, his eyes never leaving Phoenix's bloated form.
As Phoenix let out a long sigh, his bloated belly expanding prominently, a sudden *pop* echoed through the kitchen. His eyes widened in surprise as he felt the unmistakable sensation of a button giving way beneath the strain of his overfilled stomach. With a mixture of disbelief and amusement, Phoenix glanced down to see a button from his shirt lying innocently on the table, severed from its thread like a casualty of war. His mouth gaped open in surprise, like a fish out of water.
So did Miles’.
Miles swore his face couldn’t turn any more red. Couldn’t burn any hotter. But it did, like a blazing inferno, scalding to the touch. His hands tightened into a fist, desperate to grab something, but could only paw at the sheer tablecloth. His heart pounded in his chest, the thumping rang through his ears and echoed in his skull. Phoenix looked so devourable at this moment.
"Oops," Phoenix had muttered sheepishly, hands feathering gentle touches into his skin. The attorney chewed on the bottom of his lip before an expression that displayed a mixture of discomfort and determination appeared on his face. Phoenix pushed himself up from his chair, his bloated belly protesting with every movement. As he stood, he felt the full weight of his meal pressing heavily against him, causing him to wince slightly at the strain. With a steadying breath, Phoenix squared his shoulders and attempted to walk, his movements slow and deliberate as he tried to navigate the kitchen with his swollen abdomen. Each step was a struggle, his distended belly impeding his progress as he waddled awkwardly across the room.
Miles tried to speak, but words failed him. He could only watch as Phoenix waddled out of sight, presumably to their shared bedroom to sleep off that damn food coma. Miles blinked quickly, eyes fixated on the now empty chair and the empty wrappers that littered their kitchen counter. All Miles wanted to do at that moment was chase Phoenix down and tell him that he liked what he saw, but… he couldn’t.
Miles was just a fly on the wall.

Kaiju Weeks in Review (September 10-30, 2023)
Tumblr media
I adore Godzilla Final Wars, but it's a movie with an identity crisis, unsure whether it wants to be headlining a Toho Champion Festival or mesmerizing American teenagers at a mid-aughts multiplex. @spacehunter-m's Final Wars 2004: The Year We Make Corn-Tack gives it a strong tug in the first direction, whittling the runtime down to 77 minutes and replacing most of the music and sound effects. She was inspired by Space Warriors 2000, of all things; as she put it, both films are "largely comprised of nonstop, monotonous action." As in that bizarro Ultraman compilation film, the kaiju trash-talk each other. It makes you wonder why Ryuhei Kitamura didn't at least bring back the speech bubbles from Godzilla vs. Gigan. Kaiju fan edits are rare, and this is in a class all by itself. Download it here.
Tumblr media
Shigeru Kayama's novelizations of Godzilla (1954) and Godzilla Raids Again are out—hopefully the first of many to come. My copy only arrived on Saturday, so I haven't had the chance to read the whole thing yet, but I've made it through Godzilla. It's interesting to see Kayama, who wrote the initial treatment, take another swing at the story after the film was finished. He puts back moments like Godzilla eating a cow and attacking a lighthouse, and is also more overt with the wartime allusions. There's an incredible moment where Dr. Yamane muses that studying Godzilla and learning his secrets could be Japan's way of redeeming itself after "caus[ing] a great deal of trouble to people throughout the world." Note that these are novella-length, so much less in-depth than the novelizations of American Godzilla films you might be used to (Godzilla Raids Again is less than 80 pages). The book ends with an afterword by translator Jeffrey Angles contextualizing the tales.
Tumblr media
Godzilla: War for Humanity continues to be a standout IDW miniseries. There's a new and very weird monster in the second issue, plus a no-nonsense Mothra (she tries to recruit Godzilla to fight Zoospora by shooting him in the back of the head and dragging him into the ocean in front of Minilla).
I've also got to mention the solicitation for another Godzilla Rivals installment, due December 20. Nola Pfau is writing, Megan Huang is illustrating.
Jen Onça is not excited to start her new, fast-paced fast-food career at Minilla Burger, but she'd much prefer a mundane day to the sudden return of Megalon! The monster brings destruction, trapping Jen in a forgotten lab deep beneath the restaurant with only the half-built form of Jet Jaguar to help her get out! She must repair the robotic defender to save herself and the city, but first she needs to escape the rubble trapping her in this tense adventure!

Yuzo the Biggest Battle in Tokyo, Yoshikazu Ishii's follow-up to Attack of the Giant Teacher, has also been picked up by SRS Cinema. No release details yet. I can't really speak to the film either, since it screened at the same time as Yumiko Shaku's panel at G-Fest, but as you can see from the poster, it's set during the pandemic.

The GAMERA -Rebirth- Gyaos has joined Godzilla Battle Line as an unusual sort of swarm unit. Your first summon of the match calls forth two sub-adults, and by the fifth summon you're sending out two sub-adults and three adults, still for four energy. They're probably the best swarm in the game, though still highly vulnerable to AOE units like Godzilla '01. I'm having fun with them in the Challenge Battles.

Notzilla, one of the sharpest kaiju comedies out there, is unexpectedly getting the graphic novel treatment. Mitch Teemley is adapting his own screenplay, with art by Zumart Putra. The comic is already finished, although I'm not clear on how folks who didn't back the Kickstarter (which wrapped on September 11) will get it. Useless trivia: the terrific cover above (one of four) is by Ben Dunn, who wrote the How to Draw Manga book I poured over in middle school.

After Troll shattered Netflix streaming records (according to Netflix), it's not super surprising that the company wants a sequel. Priority one: coming up with a title that's not Troll 2. Screenwriter Espen Aukan and director Roar Uthaug will both return.

Toy highlights of the past few weeks:
After confusing everyone by teasing its silhouette the day before April Fools', Tamashii has fully unveiled an S.H.Monsterarts Godzilla '72, a rare Showa figure from the line. It comes with two heads, one of them bloodied (see above). Due at the end of February.
After finally running out of ways to repaint their mold of Hedorah's Perfect Stage, Bandai is making a Movie Monster Series figure of the kaiju's Landing Stage. A Godzilla Store exclusive, it'll be released October 25.
After over two years, Funko is releasing a trio of Godzilla Singular Point Pops. Hopefully they go all-out with this show—it's not like there's any other plausible way for a Satomi Kanahara figure to exist.

2023 PREGNANCY KINK ADVENT CALENDAR (DAY 7)
McPreggo Mukbang Part 1.
Penelope pulled the food items out of the paper bags they came in, making sure everything was in order. She’d learned the hard way before that the paper sacks that fast food places used were notoriously loud and could wreak havoc on even well-balanced audio. Burgers, chicken sandwiches and strips, …fried pickles? She’d never eaten here before, but some of her friends and a ton of her viewers all suggested she check it out for a mukbang or food review. She figured she could stream the mukbang, review the food as she went, condense the highlights for youtube, and kill two birds with one stone!
“McPreggo, huh? This stuff just magically knocks you up?” she asked her friend on video call. “Yeah. Shit really works!” her colleague stood up from his chair to show his ripe, bare bump on the video feed. Penelope just shook her head. “There’s DEMAND for that? I’ve never met a parent who said the pregnancy was supposed to be the enjoyable part!” she said in disbelief. “Oh yeah. Some couples want to try it out before they do it for real, some actors order it for parts when they play knocked up characters…. And some people are just freaks!” he laughed, before taking another bite of his burger.
Penelope raised her eyebrow at him. “Uh huh. So uh, which one are you? You seem like you’ve indulged quite a bit…” she smirked. He beamed “Oh nooooo my wifi is dying gotta go! Don’t get stuck on your back, these things don’t skimp on weight. Okaybyeeee!” he closed the video chat, leaving Penelope to start her stream.
She sat down, surrounded by amazing smelling food. Everything was fresh and hot and ready to enjoy, and she had skipped breakfast for extra content today. Time to see if the McPreggo fad was all it was cracked up to be! She started the stream.
Instantly, a few dozen viewers rolled in. She’d been hyping this up on social media for a couple of weeks, and the buildup seemed to have paid off. She did her standard greeting and thanked the few subscribers that’d popped up between stream, before shifting into the good stuff. “So I imagine 99% of you know what we’re doing today. It’s the pregnancy fast food place that’s making the rounds right now! McPreggo! This is gonna be both a mukbang and a review stream, because I want you guys to know whether or not it’s worth going out and getting long before the highlights go on youtube! So, uh, this isn’t sponsored. I dumped like $65 on food for this and I intend to try all of it! I’m not sure how big I’ll get. There has to be some kind of built in limit on this stuff, right?” She watched her chat flow for a few moments, looking for a consensus.
“Yeah no triplets is the limit”
“No limit” “There’s no limit”
“I’m stuck in my car from this stuff rn be careful”
“If there IS a limit no one has hit it yet” “The limit is your imagination”
She glanced nervously at the collection of food sitting around her. Surely it didn’t ALL make you more pregnant, right?
“Whatever, let’s just… there’s no sense in worrying about it. If it was unsafe the FDA would have shut them down by now!” she grabbed her first item, a single quarter pounder burger. “I didn’t get the like… double and triple burgers cause like… it’s basically the same burger but more meat, and I want room for the other stuff! If this one’s good, they’re all good!”
The first bite was perfect. The patty was hot and juicy, the bun, warm and fluffy, the vegetables cool and crisp, and the sauces brought it all together. “God, this is like… yeah, okay, if it’s all this good, I can see why this is popular. Like I’d get knocked up for a burger this fine,” It didn’t take long for her to put the sandwich away. Someone made a stream donation in response.
“Hi Penelope. I hope you’re wearing loose fitting clothes.  Also try to pickle chips next, they make everything else taste better.” she read out loud. “I-...” she started to respond before being cut off by the strange sensation in her gut. Her hands went to her belly as it swelled fuller, going from mildly plush to rounded out over about 15 seconds. Her palms filled with tummy as her fingers spread trying to hold it. The process wasn’t painful, or even particularly uncomfortable, but it was jarring, especially for the first time. She lifted up her blouse to bare her belly, staring down at it. Her navel was still an innie, and she didn’t have any stretchmarks, but she carried far forward, her singleton belly taking up more space than she really thought a pregnant belly would. It was heavy too, feeling like a water filled sphere, a little over the size of a bowling ball, resting squarely on her hips.
Her chat lit up.
“It works” “IT WOOOORKS YOUR A MOMMY NOW”
“MORE MORE!” “Poggers”
She swallowed firmly. “I felt it actually kick,” she said. She stared at it. She knew it’d be real, and that it’d work, but didn’t expect it to work so well and feel so real. She took a moment to center herself, patting her tummy, before returning her attention to her stream. “So, uh, yeah… this stuff really works. Fast too, and didn’t hurt! Was just… kind of unexpected!” she put her stream voice back on and got back to work. “So the pickle chips huh? I’m not super into pickles but they’re fried so… maybe they’ll be good?”
She grabbed the carton, a large order, and tried them one chip at a time at first, then two, then four, then by the handful. She demolished the whole carton in less than a minute. “Wow, those, uh, those hit the spot. And hey, I’m not any more pregnant soooo, they’re like… safe to eat if you don’t want to pop your buttons!” she smiled. Her tummy growled in anticipation, and Penelope found herself craving the remaining items. Maybe polishing everything else off wasn’t going to be so difficult after all?

Just had an idea for your 'Emmet reunites with Ingo is funny ways' fic. (You don't have to write it, just a scenario you can imagine)
Have you ever heard of the theory that Elvis never died but became a fast food worker in a different state? They constantly laugh at it in the book Good Omens but it's a real theory.
Well imagine: Emmet has decided that he wants some junk food, maybe it's a bad day and he needs a pick me up or it's a good day and he decided to treat himself. He going to get quite a bit so that he can binge watch train documents until early morning cos its one of those days, he might even order more if Elesa is invited.
He goes into a small time fast food chain (maybe he's in Unova and it's one he used to visit or maybe he's in Sinnoh and it's recommended) and at the counter he's face to face with Rei/Akari and Ingos in the back flipping burgers.
It's 2023, inflation hasn't made it easy to house a time displaced full grown man. Even though they could make some money battling, they don't want Ingo to be in the spotlight as a professional battler just yet as he's only just gotten used to some modern things.
Thankfully this fast food chain is known for taking on anyone regardless if they are qualified and the food and equipment is simple enough for Ingo to use, helps that it isn't really popular too. Rei/Akari works with him to help him adjust and to help with any food rushes.
So yeah. There Emmet is, standing in front of his adopted nephew/niece and his long lost brother handing him a tray of a dozen fries, burgers, nuggets and a slushpuppy while in an apron and goofy hat.
Omg anon, what would your reaction be if I showed you one of my wips with this idea. It's been months since it's been a things in my phone's note app and I had completely forgotten.
LOOK AT THIS (far from complete but oop-):
The seat felt uncomfortable under him, but Emmet didn't have any other option than endure it, self imposed suffering as it was. He had promised Iris he would take her out to eat wherever she chose if she managed to regain her title as champion. Defeating Rosa, after all, was no easy feat. Not only was she one of the region's heroes, but also a regular at the Battle Subway. Emmet knew first hand how difficult, how fun and challenging, it was to fight her.
And finally, after a year and a half of frustrated training sessions and manic strategizing, Iris rose as champion of Unova once more. Enduring it was.
That didn't mean he wasn't enjoying himself, though. Emmet usually had some time set apart for socializing with family and friends at least twice a week, so it wasn't a matter of social battery. Just the wooden seats.
He could understand from an objective point of view why this particular restaurant had them. it was aiming for an 'old era' feeling, with high barstools, wooden furniture and walls, gentle light coming from paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling... There were also sepia photos filling the walls to the brim with pictures of extinct pokemon and historical figures, of which Emmet only managed to recognize profesor Laventon. If he looked more closely, maybe he would distantly recognize more from his time in school, but he had no interest. He had a set schedule, a point of arrival already in sight.
To have a fun night out with his favorite (and only) cousin.
Why this place, he had asked Iris. To try something different had been her reasoning, of course.
The restaurant wasn't as bombastic as the usual Nimbasan ones, not even Unovan. A fairly new restaurant that focused on 'traditional Sinnoh' cuisine. He usually wouldn't trust such bold statements in Unova of all places, yet all reviews of people who came from Sinnoh had seemed surprised in a good way.
Emmet's preferences had always been to traverse the same tracks over and over again. Always the same. But it was Iris who was asking, and for family Emmet would go a long way. Especially since...
Must have been verrrry fun to battle Rosa again. Emmet wondered when the girl would show up in the Battle Subway, since now she had the free roam being champion didn't allow her. Emmet hoped Rosa chose the Doubles. He would see her regardless, but he verrrry much hoped for the Doubles line.
Emmet was sure Ingo would have been delighted to see Rosa challenging the Battle Subway again. He sighed. Damn it, he had been avoiding the thought of his twin so well lately, too. It hurt to be glad about it, but Emmet was so, so tired of the constant agony. He was sure Ingo would forgive him, just this once.
"Heeeeeeyoooo, Nimbasa to Emmet! Are you there?"
"I am Emmet. I am here. In front of you."
Aaaaaand that's about all I have written out. From there it would go on a funny reunion with chef Ingo, waiter Melli and a Karen. Melli vs Karen the ultimate showdown. Poor Ingo.
Lmao, I wanna get back to writing fanfic so bad, but I really really shouldn't right now.
