“You don’t dance or you can’t dance?” you challenged him with a light chuckle, pressing your body against his, closing the small space between you. “Maybe a mixture of both?” you added, earning an eye roll from him.

It was over. The battle was over. The reign of terror that lasted 20 years had finally ended. The people of Wano were free from the brutal reins of Kurozumi Orochi, of the Beast Pirates, of Kaido. To conclude the dark era finally coming to its end and start a new era, the people of Wano all across the nation held a banquet.

Away from the festivities, on top of the hill, looking out on the banquet taking place in the Flower Capital, stood you and Law. It was nice to see everyone happy, laughing with each other, and dancing. It was so lively. But it had been so long since you had gotten to spend any alone time with Law since arriving in Wano.

You took his hand into yours, slipping away from the banquet together. You found this spot before the raid, being able to see all the beauty of the Flower Capital. In it, you found a moment of peace through all of the turmoil, a chance to finally slow down and breathe, a chance to look back on the life you’ve led up until this point. None of which you found yourself regretting. And if you had to do it all over again, you would a million times over.

When it was all over, said and done, you had promised to come back to this very spot before you’d left this island with your crew. And now you were able to share this spot with the man you loved.

It felt good to be back in his arms. But that didn’t stop you from thinking about what happens after the banquet when you and Law have to separate. Your contented smile wavered, as your head lowered. You tried to hide your face in his chest.

He noticed, and he knew where your mind had drifted off to. The thought of being separated for god knows how long, played through his mind repeatedly.

“You’re thinking about it again, aren’t you?” He asked, his hand moving up to the small of your back.

“It’s kind of hard not to. I’ve gotten so used to you being there when I wake up. And now I have no clue when I’ll even be able to see you again,” You admitted.

With his free hand, he grabbed his hat, placing it on your head. You picked your head up, looking into his golden eyes that you had fallen in love with over the course of these past few months. His golden eyes that you continue to fall in love with over and over again with every loving gaze. “If I could give you an answer, I would. I wish I knew myself. I’d tell you not to worry, but it would make me a hypocrite because I’m worried myself. Never thought I’d be saying that aloud.”

“There’s a first time for everything,” You noted with a smile. He couldn’t stop that small smile that formed his features. He never really noticed how much more he smiled when he was around you. Not until he was being teased left and right for it, whether it was by you or his crew.

You wrapped your arms around his neck, “We can be worried together. I may from time to time call you for hours on end because I miss you.”

“I wouldn’t mind hearing your voice. It’s better than listening to Penguin and Shachi arguing all the time,” He mentioned, earning a laugh from you.

“But you love them.”

“Unfortunately, I do.”

It felt amazing to just talk and laugh with him, to see how he’s truly lightened up. His claims of only being interested in you due to your position in the Straw Hats as well as your devil fruit were proven to be false. Neither of those aspects was what truly drew him to you. He wasn’t really sure himself what it was either.

You were just...you. It was the best way he could explain it. Though he was still learning to say that part out loud, he loved every part of you. He couldn’t even begin to tell you what it was that made him face first in love with you. There was so much he wanted to say, but the words available to him were just not enough to describe it.

Being with you felt like home. He felt a sense of safety as he inhaled your perfume when he hugged you, when he kissed you, and when you were asleep next to him. Even now at this moment, as he holds you close, unsure of if he even wants to let you go. He feels at ease, something he hasn’t felt in so long.

You capture his lips in a loving kiss, dropping your hands from around his neck, snaking under the fabric of his shirt, and feeling his hot skin underneath the tips of your fingertips. His calloused hands cradled your face gently, for only a brief moment, pulling away from your lips, earning a pout from you.

His body was tensed, eyes piercing as he glared to the left. You turned your head in the same direction feeling a sense of familiarity, as well as an intense aura. Someone was coming, and there were furious.

Appearing out of the shadows was a blond with a smile, “( y/n )! There you are! I was looking everywhere for you!” His smile had disappeared, being replaced with a look of annoyance as he made eye contact with the company you had found yourself entangled with. The blond looked Law up and down, “Law...”

“Blackleg-ya...” Law scoffed, rolling his eyes.

You untangled yourself from your lover. “Sanji, what are you doing here?”

As the blond looked at you again, his smile reappeared, “I couldn’t find you at the banquet. And I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”

“How thoughtful. I’m okay!”

“Why wouldn’t she be?” Law grumbled under his breath, earning a glare from the cook. If looks could kill, they’d be in a death battle.

To say Sanji had a soft spot for you was an understatement. You were the little sister he never knew he needed. Since you had joined the Straw Hats, he made a promise to himself, he’d do anything to see you always smiling, to see you always happy.

But did you have to fall for the man whose epithet is Surgeon of Death?

Law was the walking personification of the man he never wanted you to be around.

When he had overheard you, rather eavesdropping on the three of you, gushing to Nami and Robin about your new boyfriend he had nearly fainted. He couldn’t believe his ears. His lovely, too good for this world, little sister who he adored, dating Law of all people?! The very same man who swore when the alliance dissolved, he would go back to being an enemy of the Straw Hats, now cuddled up with you.

He could hardly hear how overdramatic he was being from Nami, he was too busy being dramatic.

Every time you tried to defend your boyfriend, he’d never listen. It just resulted in the two of you talking over each other, neither of you being heard. You adored Sanji, and you appreciated him being protective and wanting the best for you.

But sometimes you just wished he’d shut up and listen, rather than trying to dictate your life! People dictating your life was the reason you were with the Straw Hats in the first place, why you ran away from the place you used to call home.

Sanji cleared his throat, “Law, can I talk to you for a moment?” Despite it being phrased as a question, it wasn’t in the slightest. “Alone. You know, man to man,” He clarified. By the look on his face, there was nothing you could say that would have persuaded him from the obviously terrible idea of leaving the two of them alone together. The red flags were now flashing red lights going off in your head.

Looking back to your boyfriend, he didn’t seem phased in the slightest, as if he was expecting whatever was to come. “Go have fun, it won’t take long, will it?”

“Of course not. I’ll return him back to you in one piece.” Sanji chimed in. Something about the way he said it, made you doubt it even more. “Alright, alright. Well when you’re finished, come and find me, yeah?”

“Not like there’s anyone else I want to see.” You press a kiss on his cheek, bidding the two men your goodbyes, returning to the festivities in the Flower Capital.

Law’s eyes had followed you until you were out of sight. How he hated to see you go but loved to watch you leave.

“Don’t look at her like that, you bastard.”

“Like what?”

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. What are your intentions with ( y/n )? What the hell are you planning? Are you using her as a ploy to take all of us down? I know what pirates like you think when you see women like her” Sanji accused.

“Yeah, just...wondering what’s taking them so long.”

Your question was immediately answered, as you could hear the sheathing of a sword from meters aware and the sound of yelling over the loud music. An annoyed sigh left your lips. You shotgunned the rest of your drink, handing the empty glass to Nami.

The world

It comes without a doubt that the executioner god should choose the world over a single mortal. After all, he is the one that is meant to quell chaos and keep the peace of the world, let everyone live in peaceful harmony so long as his existence is still around. 

But what about the man who holds the title of executioner god? What about the man named Susanoo who had forsaken his promise to love all humans equally the moment he realized that he had fallen in love with you? 

Protecting the world was a heavy responsibility to shoulder but after meeting and falling in love with you, that burden seemed to be lifted by a considerable amount; after all, you were part of this world so protecting the world also meant protecting you alongside the people that he was already meant to protect. How cruel it was to ask him whether you or the world was more important to him, as if he had a choice to begin with.

"I love you," he whispers into the quiet night, holding you close as if you would slip through his fingers like sand if he held you any less tightly. His gaze is so unbearably soft that even the brightest star seems dull in comparison, shying away as it swore to keep the love between you and him a secret that underneath the night sky.

Alas, when the stars fall and the day reappears, when the sun watches over the world like how Amaterasu used to, he has no choice but to let go of the love in his heart and fulfill his godly duties of loving everyone equally.

Every day, he prays that the world would become a peaceful place that would no longer require his protection, one that would no longer have him choose between it or you. Until then, he finds solace in the night with your body that sleeps next to him, wishing that the day would start just a little later so that he could hold you for a little longer.

Fate was a cruel thing, one that had no rights to hold such a tight grasp over anyone like his teacher had taught him– which is why Susabi sincerely believes that he would always choose you over the world. 

For years, he had questioned what fate truly was and when he had finally come across the answer, it only made him more determined to abolish it so every life had the chance to build their lives with the choices they made. He had seen many people fight against fate in order to grasp their future with their own hands and to him, those people were brighter than the stars that lit up the moon sea, sparking a flame of rebellion within him that continued to burn brighter as the world continued to see improvements ever since Orochi went into hiding after the Six Realms Gates opened. 

Before, if you had asked him whether he would choose between you or the world, he would scoff and ask you to ask him better questions. After all, the answer was obvious to the one who had the ability to prophesied the future– if he chose you, you would still perish alongside the world that was about to be destroyed in the near future. Now that that future had been avoided, he could indulge in his selfish desires and say with his full heart that yes, he would choose you over the world, for a world without you would be the same as that prophesied destroyed future.

His fingers brushed over your cheek, a smile appearing on his normally cold face as his heart tickled at the sound of your laughter. Without missing a beat, he picked up your hand and pressed a kiss to the back of your fingers like a knight swearing an oath. 

"I promise to give you the happiness you deserve."

When he looked up and saw you smiling at him as if he had given you the world, he swore that he would pull the stars down from the sky if you asked him to. 

Enmusubi

"Having the goddess of love choose between the one she loves and the world that is filled with love? How absurd!"

She would say with a large pout, offended that you would have the audacity to ask such a thing. After all, all mortal relationships were tied by her and that includes yours. If either you or the world were gone then she wouldn't even exist!

…. Okay, that was an exaggeration. She knew better than anyone that if you were gone, the world would still continue to spin and she would still be tying bonds just like any other day. However, she saw no point in choosing when to her, you were the world itself. You were the one that showed her love and made her hopelessly in love with you, the one that strengthened her determination to continue tying bonds if only to let other people find a love as precious as the one she found. So it came as a no brainer that she would do anything in order to keep you and the world running no matter what, if only to let this little piece of love continue existing for just a little longer. 

She huffed and pointed at you. "Don't you think for even a second that I would ever think of giving you up to anyone or anything! Not. A. Chance!"

For as long as she continued to exist, she would continue to tie and look over everyone's bonds, including yours. 

Miketsu

The world

As much as she wanted to give you all her love, she knows that the world would always require her assistance more than you. 

Don't take this as an offense– of course she dearly loves you but gods have a duty to help and protect all humans. After all, that is what they were created for and to someone as diligent and hardworking as Miketsu, she will see her duties to the end, even if it means neglecting herself and the people close to her.

However, sometimes, when she has the chance to feel your arms wrapped around her body, a thought comes into her mind. A selfish wish to keep you by her side forever so that no harm would ever come your way, so that she can continue to watch over you even when she has to perform her other duties as the goddess of prosperity. It hurts her heart to imagine that there would be a day when she no longer has the chance to feel your embrace due to your short mortal lifespan and the fact that she is always busy giving prosperity to others doesn't lessen her guilt one bit. 

Before she had time to process her thoughts, words carelessly slipped out her mouth. 

"Have you ever thought of becoming a god?"

The moment she feels you tense up is the moment she knew she messed up. "I-I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me! I swear that I never thought about that before and I would never ask you to become one without consulting you first so please don't take my words seriously. If by some chance I had seriously considered it then I wouldn't have asked you so suddenly so please–"

Your attempts to calm her down fall on deaf ears as she becomes too embarrassed to process anything other than what she had asked you. Suddenly, realization dawns on her: If you became a god, doesn't that mean she wouldn't have to choose between you or all the humans in this world?

FE Fates ask game 14, 18, 30 and 36?

14) Talk about something you wish they'd bring back in future titles!

I think it’d be cool of them to bring back something in the vein of Dragon Veins. Something that you can activate in battle for different effects. They were fairly situational & often not worth it in Fates iirc. So I think there’s a few other ways they could go about something like it.

One way is to keep the more situational vein styles as Fates, but make the “Dragon Vein” of the map be able to be activated no matter where, and by any character. Similar to how Engage handles Corrin & Camilla. Only thing is that each map’s vein could only be used a certain amount of times, to make up for how anyone can use it. Like lets say chapter 1’s vein summons a 3x3 healing square around the user. This vein can only be used twice, but again, anyone can use it anywhere. Or maybe it COULD be like Engage where it’s the same preset list of veins every chapter. idk.

Another way is the way that Fire Emblem: Cerulean Coast (an FE8 romhack) does its “Leylines”. In earlier versions of the game, I saw that Leylines were like Fates’ chapter-specific veins, but they could be used by anyone. In the version i’m playing, every Leyline does the same thing; heal you to full, raise your attack, and allow you to move again. I really like this style. Sure there’s no “ooh i wonder what this does” moment, but it’s a nice, reliable feature. And of course, there’s only a handful of Leylines per map. Like 2-4 on average from what i’ve seen.

Revered as a man God because of the disapproval that a woman can become a God, let alone one with immense power. People revered her as both woman and a man in terms of her status as a Demon, followed by countless folklore about how she shifts into a man because she fell in love with a woman (taboo).

A-Li always shifts into her male form during official meetings with the other Gods to reduce the judgmental pressure from other Gods. During her reign in demonic realms, she is free to shift into either woman or a man.

A-Li enjoys shifting herself into a man for fun unless it's due to social pressure. When visiting her follower's dreams, she'll appear as a man if they see her as a God and as a woman if they see her as a Demon.

Taboo :

It is highly taboo to be worshipping Demon despite her clear affiliation with Gods and mortals

Most of her followers view her as a God while some view her as a Demon

Her followers who view her as a Demon will often be sneered, the same goes for people who view her as a female God

Demonic Realm :

Unlike the Kawagashi clan, the Yanagi clan is not as strong as the Kawagashi clan in terms of social standings nor strength numbers, alas making it hard for her to stand as a Demon completely. (Decreasing numbers of followers)

A-Li is responsible for managing all the demons as one of the lords herself, punishing those who cross paths with the mortals or immortals.

Despite the transparency of her works, it is still viewed as taboo.

Her reputation in the demonic realm is overall good.

Heavenly Realm :

Had it not been for Hao Yuchen and Ying Qingyuan's recommendations and backings, A-Li is most likely have fallen out of favor, eventually losing all her spiritual powers and perished.

Hao Yuchen is infamous for his schemings in A-Li's ascension by slaughtering all the possible candidates for the ascension. (More.1)

Ying Qingyuan is infamous for not batting an eye toward Hao Yuchen's deeds despite his status as a God and his title as a Hero. Ying Qingyuan even reward A-Li with a palace from the Eastern side after the previous God was banished. (More.2)

Qiang Jiemo is infamous for executing all of Hao Yuchen's schemings into place, preventing Hao Yuchen from dirtying his hands directly. (More.3)

Feng Jianyu is infamous for eradicating all (back stage) the Gods who oppose to A-Li's rise in power.

Despite all the backing and her powers, her reputation in the heavenly realm is bad most of the time.

Strength :

A-Li excels in levitating and illusions

Upon knowing her ability to levitate without having to use her spiritual power, A-Li often levitates instead of walking (only around people she's familiar with)

Her skills in creating illusions help her leap in term of power

A-Li is also fond of the Kawagashi clan's delusions technique despite never reading its manuals

A-Li uses her sword until Hao Yuchen gave her the hairpin as her weapon. (More.4)

Ying Qingyuan personally trained her ruthlessly after she ascended. Due to her training with Ying Qingyuan, her prowess rockets in just 6 months (More.5)

A-Li never loses in levitating competitions or any battles that involve levitating.

The ability to levitate without using spiritual power is rare, making it one of A-Li's specialties.

A-Li is overall, not strong in direct combat/front lines but excels as a support from the side lines.

Personality :

On the brighter side, cheerful and energetic, A-Li is often seen to be beaming with joy. On certain occasions, her former maiden-like personality might slip up but is fast to realize and recover.

On the darker side, cruel and sharp-tongued, overall 180° from her bright side. One would see her as a completely different subject.
