#Fake hinako mishuku

it might sound weird coming from me but I would honestly prefer a ranmaru mini ep and a hinako one over a kanna mini episode. This might sound shocking to some since I'm a big Kanna fan and I already stated my distaste for ranmaru but yes I would honestly prefer a mini ep about him first.

I think mini ep are an excellent way to give depth to a character make us change our way of seeing them and depenibg their already excellent traits. The kurumada mini ep is truly a masterpiece in my eyes because I already liked kurumada but it really deepened his character in so many way, he wasn't just an angry man. The kai mini ep, oh god the Kai mini ep is so good it made me realise that Kai was probably one of the best written characters in the game. Mini EPs make me like the characters even more, and give them so many layers.

Compared to what people might think I want to like ranmaru, really, I really hope that maybe this mini episode will make me like his character, for now I think that he is a bad person and a boring character, but I want to like him like the rest. Giving depth and explaining why he acts this way that's what I want. Hinako is such an interesting character which we know nothings of, who are you what's your real identity and name. Who are you truly fake hinako. I'm so interested into giving those characters depth complexity to make them truly special. Which I swhy I want characters who I do not care or like that much to get mini episode first before the others.

Kanna is already the best character in the game,I already love her, and having a mini ep will just be a bit of fanservice for me. Kanna does not NEED a mini episode right now, I do think she DESERVES to have one someday, but maybe later.

This is the same reason a Keiji mini episode would be useless I think, I know he will get one but we already know everythings about that guys. I know he will get one since he's the writer pet but still he does not NEED one immediately.

So yes nankidai please do mini episodes on characters that really need it, to give them depth such as Joe, hayasaka, Miley, ranmaru, fakehinako,mai etc.

BUT YTTS KANNA IS STILL MY ONLY HOPE IN LIFE I NEEED IT SO BADDDDD

Some time back you did a post discussing what you think Anzu's dynamics with the cast would be like if she survived her first trial. I'd like to ask the same question, but with Hinako if she survived her first trial!

Sara Chidouin - I could see Sara having a soft spot toward her like she does Kanna and Gin. I think she would be kind toward her and encouraging like she is with Kanna.

Joe Tazuna - I think Joe would treat her similarly to Gin by inviting her to play with him and the other kids once they escaped.

Gin Ibushi - I think Gin would find her a bit weird, but he would also want her to feel better about her life and place in the world.

Keiji Shinogi - I think he'd be kind and encouraging toward her, but also likely to vote for her if she gave him an "easy out," like he does with Kanna.

Alice Yabusame - I think Alice would mostly be relived that he didn't run out of the room. After that I could see him being gentle and kind with her since I think he would behave that way with most little girls. Considering his bond with Reko.

Reko Yabusame - I think Reko would be kind and encouraging toward her. It would bother her to see a child so young carry so much weight on their heart, so she'd try to make it better by always being the first to tell her how much she's worth.

More Undercut

Nao Egokoro - I think Nao would be kind to her like she is with the rest of the participants. I do think she'd might try to use her bad mindset to try ease her guilt after the massacre ending, but wouldn't be successful.

Kazumi Mishima - I could see Mishima getting a scene where he drops everything to encourage her. As a good teacher I don't think he could see a distressed child and just not care.

Q-taro Burgerberg - When Kanna gives up in the first main game it really bothers Q-Taro. So I think he would be super encouraging toward her given how uncomfortable he with how Kanna acts.

Kai Satou - Since Kai is such a loner in 1-1 and 1-2 I don't think he'd have much time to establish a dynamic with her. He'd probably think she was tragic, but his motivations remain centered on Sara.

Kanna Kizuchi - I think Kanna would find solace in Hinako's company as someone would understand how low she felt. Yet, I could see them becoming friends, and a high point of Kanna's arc would be telling her that her life holds value.

Shin Tsukimi - Since Hinako reminds me a lot of pre-devolvement Kanna, I could see Shin using her at first. Only to become protective later because of the time spent with her. Though I think he'd find her more confusing then Kanna because of their contrasting views on survival.

Dolls

Ranmaru Kageyama - I think he'd understand her a bit considering what he says about wanting to live in his victim video. I could see him wanting to help her since he assumes the death game would have reinvigorated her will to live.

Naomichi Kurumada - I think Naomichi would be really unsettled by someone who has no intention of winning. I think he would end up being an encouraging figure who pushes for her to not give up.

Anzu Kinashi - I think Anzu would really want to cheer her up. She would keep making attempts until Hinako at least cracked a small smile.

Mai Tsurugi - I think Mai would struggle to wrap her mind around someone not being willing to do anything to preserve their life. It's so unlike her desperate thought process.

Shunsuke Hayasaka - He would keep an eye out for her since he has a soft spot for kids.

Hinako Mishuku - I think the fake Hinako would look down on the real one in a certain way. I think she would be annoyed that she was unwilling to fight.

are there any changes to the floormasters in ytr? <- autistic abt the floormasters

im assuming rio ranger doesnt exist here, because. sei. but im curioieus

i am so glad you asked!!! i’ve been waiting for an excuse to talk about the floormasters, they’re just not as fleshed out as i want them to be yet…(this is partially because i keep agonizing over what i want their designs to look like. it’s hard to find a balance between “silly yet stylish” and “just walked out of the evil clown circus”)

originally, i was planning to keep them the same but i quickly realized that would not work because sei and sou are both participants and therefore ranger and “midori” never Exist. so yes, they (most of them) are swapped too!

i will say that i kept gashu and meister in the same roles though. gashu because i think it would be vv interesting to see kai interact with his father in the death game (since he never gets the chance to in canon), and meister because 1. he almost certainly has ties to sara and 2. atp in the game he hasn’t played a big enough role to the point that i really even know what to do with him? so i was hesitant to swap him at all.

but but but!!! i’ll get into who takes the roles of the other 4 floormasters below (i hope this is what you were asking for???)!!! bear with me if it’s a little barebones compared to the main cast descriptions i’m still figuring things out

Megumi Sasahara > Sue Miley

Tbh I have my suspicions that canon Megumi already has ties to Asunaro so making her a floormaster in this AU felt like a logical move. I don’t have that much to say about her as of yet, but since she’s the first floormaster she sets a much different tone for the beginning of the story in comparison to Miley. Whereas Miley’s presentation feels very ‘cartoonishly evil,’ Megumi is a lot more serious about the game which kind of hammers in for the participants how highly important their captors regard the Death Game. Basically…even more dread and unease…especially after Nao’s death.

Hinako Mishuku (fake) > Rio Ranger

So this one is kind of what spurred on the idea of swapping the floormasters as well, because I really wanted to do something with pink-haired Hinako and/or see her interact with black-haired Hinako. Then I thought of a very tragic idea: what if pink-haired Hinako and black-haired Hinako were twins?

So I thought of the name Hana Mishuku for her. Basically, my idea was that the Mishuku twins’ parents split up because one of them started getting involved with Asunaro, and as a result the twins were separated. While Hinako led a relatively normal life, Hana was stuck with her father and unwittingly forced into becoming an agent for Asunaro at a very young age.

She acts similar to her canon personality, with a sort of dry callousness. She does still have a soft spot for her sister (and seeing her again after years doesn’t help) but she believes that’s something she has to ruthlessly stamp out in order to survive in the organization. (can you tell thinking about her makes me sad…)

Shunsuke Hayasaka > Tia Safalin

I am so sorry to all Hayasaka fans but his character is the definition of wasted potential to me. He clearly had ties to Asunaro (albeit seemingly unwillingly) and yet this is something that comes up like. Once? So I decided to take advantage of it here and make him play a bigger role. Rather than just doing dirty work for the organization, he gets swept into it and he HATES it. He’s pretty much only following orders because he doesn’t want to be killed, and rather than acting like a mild-mannered office worker he acts much more like a jaded, pessimistic office worker (someone please help this man). I also think he’d have a fun dynamic with Hana, but that’s something I’ll likely elaborate on in future doodles…

Momdori/Mrs. Hiyori/whatever you wanna call her > Midori

This one was probably the most fun for me to put together. Maybe it’s bias because the mysteries of Sou Hiyori’s family will forever intrigue me, but I think that his mom (or who I presume is his mom but really we only have a silhouette) has such interesting potential. I definitely don’t believe her and Sou would have a healthy dynamic here, what with just the way both of them act (i.e. insufferably) and their seemingly incompatible views of Asunaro (borderline religious devotion vs. as a tool for further experimentation/entertainment). (i could go on for literally hours and hours about their dynamic in this au but i’ll save that for another day)

As for her actual role in the story, I think she’d act very similar to Midori at first, but over time be revealed to have less of the childish behavior and more cruelty + cult-ish behavior. She’d also regard the participants differently: constantly emphasizing how they’re all fated to be sacrifices for God etc, etc until everyone is incredibly annoyed. (good thing for them that the goal of the subgame is to kill her!)

uhhhhh uhhhh anyways i don’t know what else to say but i hope this satisfies your curiosity! i’ll definitely revisit the floormasters again once i figure out what the hell to do with their designs but for now, as thanks for reaching the end of this rant take this momdori:

Possible candidates for the person on the hospital bed

This is a huge mystery because it implies that someone who we thought was dead might actually be alive. I’ll go through some of the characters I find most likely, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be someone else, like Joe or Mishima.

1. Ranmaru Kageyama

When Sara watches his victim video, she comments on how he looks like he only fell asleep, not like he died. That doesn’t mean too much, but this tape was stowed away in Miley’s room, somewhere where participants were supposedly never meant to be. Hayasaka’s video being hidden can be attributed to him mentioning potential information regarding Asunaro and the game, but why hide Ranmaru’s?

The Ranmaru from 31A is Sara’s partner, making him pretty important, and he knows secret information. He knows who Joe was, and he acts off in the discussion room, like he’s not telling Sara something or has alterior motives. Despite this, he takes her tag in the Shin lives route (even though it isn’t fatal) and doesn’t blush when he’s flustered, a sign of being a bloodless doll.

2. Mai Tsurugi

She’s missing her gloves. That’s absolutely not a continuity error. What explanation could there be for that? Unless she got them dirty/bloody doing some shady crap and threw them out or something, the only reason they would be missing is because Rio took them.

Mai is super shady period. She’s dressed like a cream puff, a floormaster-y outfit, and she was the first and so far only one to try to kill her partner. She asks Sara to feel how soft and humanoid her skin is, blushing when she does. You need blood to blush, which dolls shouldn’t have, and when Sara holds Ranmaru’s hand he is flustered, but doesn’t blush.

3. Hinako Mishuku

She’s the one who tries to rally the all of dolls against the humans, whereas Mai plans betrayal herself. The Hinako from the victim video and the girl from 31A have very different personalities. This one will do any dirty, evil thing necessary to survive, but the other one thanked Rio for killing her. The girl in that painting is dressed just like our Hinako, but with different hair, and her victim video specifically only showed her legs. Could she have been revived with a new look and personality or something, or are they two whole different people?

4. Sou Hiyori

He acts so smug regarding a game where the objective is to murder him. We’re told 31A Sou is a doll, which is most likely correct, but even so, why is he so okay with his death? All the other dolls have a desire to survive. Maybe he just likes to mess with people and puts on a front, but maybe he isn’t the target of the human hunt. Alice allegedly killed the real Sou, who was originally intended to participate in the game, but if he was somehow brought back (if he even died), maybe the human Sou is the target. I don’t know why they wouldn’t just make him a participant again if he was revived, possibly as punishment for breaking some rule, but it would explain why the doll is so calm and taunting.

5. Kai Satou

When Kai died, the game never said he expired, unlike everyone else who died. Is it possible he had a chance to fake it while everyone was watching Joe? It would discredit his development and whole speech if he faked his suicide on purpose, which would suck. What if he was kept alive against his will? Miley hates him.

There’s still a lot he knows that we don’t, such as what he discussed with Joe on the security tape, the whereabouts of Mishima’s head, which he is the main suspect of hiding, the reason for hiding it, and anything else he knows about Asunaro and the game.

Those were my top five candidates for the mysterious hospitalized figure. We know Safalin has a cell repair salve which can probably heal otherwise fatal injuries if you keep the patient’s vitals up, so it’s not impossible to bring certain people back from the brink of death.
