I'm not sure if I believe the "Wakaba Isshiki did unethical experiments" theory in the fandom, but I do think this is the biggest proof of it in-game:

Because how the hell would she know that?

The first explanation is that she did experiments by sending people into palaces and then testing what happens to them if the palace collapses. Which is messed up for obvious reasons.

The second explanation is that she did NOT test it, meaning she was just making shit up. Which is funny but also would make her a terrible scientist. This explanation is less believable because everything else about her research is too accurate.

There's also a theory that Wakaba did unethical experiments on Akechi specifically. I'm not sure I believe that, since the evidence for it is pretty shallow (like the featherman game scientist experimenting on grey pigeon). But this scene is once again the biggest argument you could make for that theory. The researcher in the image above refers to palaces by their correct term 'palaces', which they say was based on Wakaba's research. But that's only something you would know with firsthand experience of the metaverse. And the only person they know who could access the metaverse was Akechi (that we know of, but i dont think Shido would rely only on Akechi if there were other options).

So yeah this scene is very sus. It's most likely the writers didn't think too deep about the implications. There's no way they wanted Futaba's mom to be sketchy, right? But even if it's not intentional, the scenes and their implications still exist. So in conclusion those theories make sense, I get it, and I don't blame anyone for headcanoning them and having fun. And tbh anyone involved with cognitive psience was portrayed as some degree of unethical (maruki for example), maybe this is just on-brand

Hi im here to tell you why this part of Workin Boys is absolutely fucking amazing

Showstopper, in definition, is an act with a prolonged applause and impressive reaction from the audience enough to interrupt a performance. I really love how they used Show Stopping Number for this scene and it’s the most fitting shit ever. Before being shot, Hidgens was doing the iconic Workin Boys title number, which was also done in Show Stopping Number. And then the moment itself is a showstopper, there's screaming, horror and desperation coming from the audience and even claps coming from (drunk) Linda, a standing ovation.

It's also exactly how it's shown in TGWDLM. When Henry finishes the Workin' Boys bit (before the infected came) he goes directly back to the actual song. “I can't wait to get home to my boys! / A show stopping number / a real show stopper”

I do like other games fun fact!!! Darkstalkers is probs one of my favorite fighting games. One of the few I’m ok at lol (TwT ;). But yeah, I play as Lord Raptor and he’s a silly guy fr.

This is the whole Zabel page :3. I like to think Lord Raptor is like a stage name and Zabel Zarock is his actual name. It makes sense in the context that he’s a metal artist I guess. Also what is up with his birth year being listed as like 1889 everywhere? That does not make any sense in the context that he’s a metal artist 💀💀💀💀💀💀.

The next two are based on some of his early concept designs. Changed to look more like say alternate costumes for him cause some of these are wildly different not just outfit wise from the design that we got.

This one is by far my favorite, it’s him in that Midnight Bliss outfit lol. It looks nice on him. I actually have the midnight bliss figure of him :D (sadly one of his only pieces of merch dies in all of the characters I like have little to no merch)!!! I don’t see much fan art of his human-ish form, but then again I don’t see much fan art of him at all now that I think about it—

There’s some text in this zoom in spot! The top left one says “I’m fucking balling!”, the one below it says “Oi, wtf”, and his shirt says oh uh well um I shan’t say it (Cannibal Corpse song title 💀). There’s also one doodle on here that requires context cause it seems edgy for no reason, but it is based on an official art of him!!!!!! Aaaa I wish you could put more than 10 photos so I could show it.

This was an attempt at drawing a sprite of his but oh my god I cannot draw people looking up to save my life 💀💀💀. There’s some Le Malta doodles tho, he’s cool. Just a little dude! I like how Le Malta was technically employed by Ozom to spy on Zabel to make sure he wasn’t plotting against him (he very much was lmao) and he just totally was like “yeah I hate Ozom’s ass too” and decided to be friends with him instead. The Darkstalkers lore is great and hilarious I promise—

These two are just shitposts (the big dude in the background of the second one is Ozom btw Aka the guy that reanimated him). And the last two are just from playing around with one of those insert character/series text box generator websites.

Yeah anyway, great game, I should probably draw more about it, but the Simon and also that RPG Maker project I was working on have both taken over my life d(*´ω`*). (Also stress but yeah—)

I am but a measly 2:00:15 into the genre-defining "Riku is Gay" video, but like. Damn, Tennelle Flowers is a cinematic genius. If you could ask Tolkien one question about his work what would it be?

If I could only ask one question, I would show him somehow everything that Christopher has published and say "I have read all of this - what thing about your work do you consider important but cannot be, or at least has not been, inferred from what has been printed?" Of course, he might just say "I've said everything I wanted to say" (and if anything, I suspect he would be mortified to know Christopher has published so many of his youthful and incomplete drafts tbh lol), but then, he might also say "One thing I really wanted to convey but am not sure if I succeeded was ........" or "I never got around to writing this thing" or some other interesting idea.

If not this, then I would ask another open-ended question. I wouldn't ask him to clarify lore or back up any theories or anything like that, I would want to know what things he would consider important things to tell to a reader. And if he decided to troll me (which, given his sense of humor, he just might), it'd still be a more memorable experience, I feel, than just treating him as a trivia machine or a wiki. I would hope, if I could, to connect to him on a human level, as someone who values his subcreations as an art form. If you're read Leaf by Niggle - I would want to encourage Niggle to share with me what is so special about his beloved leaf, not ask if I got the name of the paint he used right, or even ask him to tell me more about the tree.

the idea that simon just needs to find a way to have magic and be sane is one of the most egregiously thoughtless missing-the-entire-point takes i’ve ever seen. with my disclaimer that i’m not remotely endorsing or seriously suggesting this: i’m surprised no one’s mentioned the fact that we’ve multiple times seen people use the crown’s magic without any of the mental effect. after flame princess destroys most of the ice kingdom, IK gives the crown to gunter to rebuild it, and again in thanks for the crabapples guiseppe, he gives it to abracadaniel and it lets him use ice magic just fine. the crown only has its full effect on one person at a time, and doesn’t seem to bond to a new wearer until the current one is dead… but it’ll give anyone who wears it magic.

In conclusion obviously the solution is for Simon to just take an ice crown that’s already being used (:
