god i will never stop fawning over how absolutely SPECTACULAR afo vs bakugou was. genuinely one of the best fights in the entire manga in terms of art, the themes, the pararells, the gayness, the fight itself, and just. everything about it makes me wanna scream into my pillow and chew on it

i was thinking of the strip in which italy loses the iron cross given to him by germany today. it was a bit of a throwaway gag but the necklace always remained in a lot of fanart as a representation of their friendship and bond. i think it’s cute, but even italy losing the damn thing aside, it doesn’t have much of an appropriate application or use in modern day settings.

though the iron cross predates WWII and isn’t technically an offensive symbol on its own (i most commonly see it being used by punks and other self identifying anti-conformist subcultures) it’s also likely still used as a dog whistle in conjunction with other things. it just doesn’t work beyond WWII settings in my opinion.

i’ve thought that maybe modern-day germany could give italy a new necklace, removed from any symbology related to nationality or pacts/alliances and instead related to their own humanity and friendship. the regular cross/crucifix is an obvious choice, because it is commonly worn by men (catholic and otherwise) and can be an understated design. but it lacks a more personal meaning.

beyond that, germany sometimes lacks taste (tomato ring?? i mean it’s cute but like wtf) so we can only hope that maybe he bought something italy was already eyeing or got help from romano. perhaps he’d think it was too personal of a gift to give and instead opted for something like a rosary. he’s a sucker for acts of service and gift-giving, i feel like he just wants to adorn him in all sorts of pretty and/or practical things.

unless we’re talking about established gerita. i think germany would propose with a ring that compliments the undertones of italy’s skin, but wedding rings are an entirely separate can of worms. collars too.

Binah isn't particularly good at verbally expressing herself. she much prefers actions over words, since to her, words are easy to say without meaning, so she shows her love mostly through small gestures- sorting some of your books so you don't have to, carrying you to bed when you accidentally nod off on your desk, leaving you hot cups of tea- it's a peaceful little routine

still, she knows how encouraging a few kind words can be, your own sweet remarks being part of the reason she can get through difficult days, and it's not so much that she has nothing to say, just that she's bad at speaking it aloud

so instead Binah writes a book, a small journal filled with every reason she loves you and every time she thought of you fondly. in a few days she runs out of pages, tying a ribbon around the book and leaving it on your desk for you to discover

sure enough, you approach her later in the day crying happy tears, and Binah merely hums and pulls you close in a strong, soft hug, no words needed

desperately need more worlds beyond number episodes right now pls

#seeing brennan stretch his legs and settle into a long campaign is such a gift #the overwhelming coziness and atmosphere with the excellent audio editing is just. perfection #and lets the episodes stretch out lazily and catch on every pc whim and thorn without rushing #but also with brennan's now trademark sense of pacing that keeps everything going at a nice clip #it's like watching someone who's only ever been able to release sketches and flat coloring start showing off his massive oil painting #(not to say anything bad about d20 just that the scale is different)#you can see the imprint of d20 in the immediate richness of the world and the strong sense of pacing and rails #but it just has this lovely languishing effect bc they don't need to go anywhere anytime soon #so the world is full of fairy lights and soft rain and wildflowers and comedy can come and go easily #perfect trust between the pcs #I just. need more of it #wbn #worlds beyond number
