Synopsis: Short story about Mari missing Amethio

Warnings/Notes: Not proofread, Light angst at the beginning, Amethio might be ooc, Mari is referred to as a doll in some parts, Mari's pronouns are they/them but is referred with masculine terms (i.e. young master) at some point, Conia is like Mari's lady in waiting lol, I fell asleep trying to type this out too

Tears flood the poor dolls face, it had been months since they last saw their beloved. "I'll be back." he said to them. What a lie. Mari shifts to their left side, feeling nothing but heartbreak. If he really wanted someone else in his life then he should've just been upfront about it. Tears of sadness turned into ones of hatred as these thoughts continued to circle the young doll's head like a bird of prey circling its next meal. Light footsteps can be heard from the entrance of their shared bedroom which had more or less become theirs. The door gently opens, revealing a young woman with greyish hair.

"Sir Amethio will be here shortly." Conia reports.

Mari gives the woman a sharp side eye before shifting again to lay on their stomach. "That's what you've been saying for the past...I dunno, three-four months? Stop trying to keep my hopes up." Conia sighs in defeat, she knows not to press on especially during times where the young master was in a sombre mood but she couldn't bear to see them in such a depleted state. The two continued to banter about for some time before Conia was able to convince Mari to at least make the effort to stop moping about like a depressed Snorlax. The young doll slipped on a light purple cardigan with darker accents around the lower hem and cuffs over their silk pyjamas and began to take a leisurely stroll around the garden of their estate.

A faint rustling was emitted near the Gracidea Garden bed, instantly peeking Mari's interest. Their natural instinct was that someone was trying to mug them so they proceeded with caution, but to their surprise it was none other than Amethio himself, admiring their hard work. "It seems as though you've been keeping yourself busy during my absence." The young man remarked with a slight hint of amusement to his tone. Mari's dull eyes widened as they made their way to their lover, jumping into his arms in an act of desperation for his touch. Mari buried themself into the crook of Amethio's neck whilst their arms tried to envelop his entirety.

"You came back..." Mari uttered in a hushed tone. "I'll always come back, just for you." Amethio replied before pulling his lover in for a quick kiss.
