HAPPY (very late 😭) BIRTHDAY INK SANS!!!!
WAUGH I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS PIECE INK BC I SPENT WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON IT (despite forgoing lineart in an attempt to make things easier for myself 💀)
Either way, I’m really proud of how it turned out! 😅
Happy belated birthday to the guy who started it all for me! And here’s to all the fandom memories that were and will be made!

Ink and Aster (ZT! Gaster) by @/comyet

Swap/Blue by the community

Undertop Gaster by @/undertop
…Acrylic??! by @hexcia
and we all know who made Splatter here ;3
Anyways, some silly tidbits about this piece
The different papers don’t represent AUs, but fanart and fanfic that’s been produced by the fandom! The very thing that keeps Ink going!
I snuck in a couple subtle references to a few Ink-centric fics that I hear are pretty good 👀. Look for the initials
There’s a couple classic UT references in here as well, golden flower, save star (behind the text) and a doodle of the human and monster from the intro cutscene!
Also you can probably notice the silly cameo of Acrylic from my friend’s AU, Hexverse!
The final paper Ink is holding, the rainbow heart doodle, sorta represents the idea that art, creativity, the fandom itself is their “soul”, and also it signifies the love we’ve given to this super cool character! <3
If you’ve read this far, tysm for listening to my rambles!

Wait, for real!?!?!?!👀
Yep yep! Ink has two dads, and one of them is Zephyr!Gaster or Aster. He's super adorable, you should check out his FAQ!
Ink and his other dad (Undertop!Gaster) teaches him about the Multiverse and on the other hand Aster teaches Ink to enjoy things (machinery, blueprints, astrophysics) that don't rely on his inky creation powers!
Ink does some other non paint stuff too, he plays the flute for one and iirc, he is trying sewing, which is why I made my variant of him get into embroidery

I made this drawing for the holidays. I'm already late for Christmas but it doesn't matter!!! Fanart of familyplates timeline by @zarla-s
This Comic means a lot to me, it has been a great inspiration to draw and continue practicing all this year. I am very happy to have discover it, when I started reading Handplates I didn't know English, I couldn't find the Spanish translations and it didn't occur to me to search in YouTube for dubs haha, so with Google Translate I was translating everything that I didn't understand manually, at the time the comic finished my English reading comprehension became very good, was my door to learn the lenguage (although my grammar isn't very good hehe)

the Undertale take I've seen absolutely no one have is that yeah, Gaster is a skeleton whose font is Wingdings, but Sans and Papyrus (and any other skeletons) are the only ones who can't understand him.
Because. Wingdings isn't a language. It's a cipher. When you type in Wingdings you're still writing words as they're spelled in your language. Just with a different alphabet. If you had the cipher memorized, and you read a sentence written in Wingdings aloud, it wouldn't affect your pronunciation. So Gaster probably sounds like anyone else when speaking aloud.
But if you're a font skeleton who magically sees people's speech as text in whatever font, and then there's a font that's not using the normal alphabet then like heck you're gonna understand what's being said
