It always really creeped me the hell out the way the Corrupted Soldiers in Udûn walk and behave. It is a really unsettling but accurate way of portraying how Sauron corrupts things - they are physically twisted and lame in their posture, and have the twitchiness in their heads and hands reminiscent of someone/something severely damaged and completely bereft of their previous selves.

This instance was as sad as it was unnerving. :(

ahhh, love that so much because same!! i don't want to be alone in this rabbithole lmao but i just think there's something so enticing about the concept itself and ever since devouring midnight mass and preacher, i can't get the idea of corrupted clergy out of my head. or, like, corrupting clergy.

but it's also very easy to take his canon convictions and flip them around. replace war with god and you have yourself a preacher. i don't want him to be clean, either. his sermons are all about being soldiers of god. all old scripture. you catch him drinking whisky, smoking cigars. he cusses. he's bloodthirsty. forgiveness is much too new testament to him, yanno? he's more about divine punishment. scorched earth. you are either saved or a sinner, and there's no in between.

but don't worry, he's going to save you. willingly or not.

Thought i should make an introduction post.. you know after having this account for eight months... Anyway!

Hi I'm finn/viktor! I'm a transmasc and I'm genderfluid, floating somewhere on the aro/ace spectrum however i am in fact in a relationship. Anyone is allowed on my page as long as you aren't making me or anyone else feel any form of discomfort. Spoiler alert, i can and will argue for days, Although if you treat people like that you are probably not worth any effort! My page should be a safe space, despite me literally only posting artwork and such alike, but anyone can come talk to me if needed, i will try to reply!

This blog is mainly for artwork and i usually post about my two current hyperfixations the magnus archives and the mechanisms! I also occasionally post about other fandoms too, but it takes me a while to move on from my interests i suppose (autism strikes again! What a tragedy!) I do also occasionally write and do poetry in my spare time (as well as a long list of other nerdy interests) so let me know if that would be something you would be interested in!

But anyway, feel free to literally request any drawings you want, i personally do not believe in commissions and although i can't promise a time frame for artwork, i will pretty much draw anything. At all. (Although saying that i might decline a request for a drawing if it makes me uncomfortable/it'll make others uncomfortable). Feel free to dm me to talk about drawings/ideas or even theories if you'd like, or just ramble about anything you've seen me post about, for i will be happy to do the same! I promise i don't bite!

I currently have an ongoing series around my personal headcanons for TMA characters but if you'd like to see other series i do have some ideas planned for future!

just finished watching 3x06. one thing about the last two episodes that stayed in my mind was the inevitable comparison between annie and hughie’s relationship and kimiko and frenchie’s relationship. both hughie and frenchie are not supes, they’re both physically weak men (in comparison to their girlfriends and also to the men around them) in love with super powerful women, they both have to deal with violence, they both have not-so-good relationships to their fathers... hell, even their names have the same cute shortening (-ie).

and yet they deal with these situations in such different ways. I think the biggest difference comes from the fact that frenchie is not interested in making himself seem powerful in the eyes of other men - he cares mostly about doing his job, and after meeting kimiko, he cares more about her safety and happiness than about any delusions of power. even when (spoilers!) nina is trying to make him feel bad and ashamed about being submissive, about taking orders so well, he is not really concerned and we as an audience don’t see any indications that he has any shame about his sexual preferences - he cares more that kimiko will think him a monster for the violent things he has actually done.

meanwhile, hughie is all ego. male ego, to be more specific. he doesn’t care about what annie wants, in fact, he ignores her multiple times. he is completely caught up in his own fantasy of being a hero, being powerful and being “worthy of respect”. he even says in the last episode, after taking compound V, “now i can finally help!”, as if he wasn’t helping them before, as if he was useless because he was phisically weaker. in the end, his male fantasies are not so different from homelander’s. he doesn’t care about building a better world, or even about destroying supes - he cares about the way other people perceive him.
