Listening to the podcast with Tumblr's CEO about how Tumblr is running on debt because he believes it's worth keeping up because of how unique and good it is as a blogging platform and honestly it warms the heart
And how Tumblr may have been purchased for 3 million but at one point cost 60 million a year to run and they decided it was worth slowly fixing and honestly it warms the heart
And thinking about how Musk bought Twitter for way above its valuation when in fact he was also getting all of its debts and liabilities since Twitter was, like Tumblr, also running on debt, so he actually owes way more than 44 billion dollars and that's why he's no longer the richest man on earth and that's why he's floundering and losing his mind, and honestly it warms the heart
And about how Tumblr are happily poaching talent from Twitter and investors are looking at Tumblr as a worthwhile investment and the debt is going down in part because of Twitter's fuckup and honestly it warms the heart

How to Use Business Intelligence to Improve Your Company's Decision Making
The term "business intelligence" has become increasingly popular among C-level executives in recent years. Even though business intelligence (BI) is pretty much everywhere and there are a lot of BI tools, it is important for your company to have experienced BI consultants when making strategic decisions.
With the right approach, business intelligence systems can streamline operations and aid decision-makers in improving output, performance, and assessment. While many business intelligence tools advertise real-time and "big data" insights, they often exaggerate the precision and accuracy of the data analytics they provide. This is where you should collaborate with a market research company near you to have the most accurate business intelligence data to make your decision-making process effective.
Choosing business intelligence systems that analyze large amounts of data with the help of AI and ML to reveal hidden patterns and trends is a simple way to give your company a leg up on the competition.
In the context of a company, "business intelligence" refers to all of the methods, tools, and approaches that are used to analyze data. The term "business intelligence" (BI) covers a wide range of tools and methods, from simple Excel spreadsheets to complex KPI dashboards and even employee satisfaction surveys. Every BI system ultimately aims to do the same thing, which is to extract useful information from data warehouses across an organization.
To put it another way, intelligence is present whenever a logical and methodical approach is used to make choices. Data analytics, on the other hand, are a part of business intelligence that helps people make decisions.
There are already a variety of business intelligence tools in place, regardless of how analog you believe your current business analytics to be. The next step, though, is to figure out how well these BI tools work in terms of making recommendations that really help people make better decisions. To make it more effective, you can contact BI Companies.
In what ways can business intelligence help us make smarter choices?
When it comes to learning, humans are better than computers at understanding information that is shown to them visually. Computers, on the other hand, mostly use numerical data. We can see a change in a graph more easily than we can see, for example, a half-point drop in productivity in raw data. Therefore, the ability to convert raw data into visually appealing charts and graphs is a highly sought-after feature in business intelligence (BI) tools and the decision-making process as a whole. Visualizations of key performance indicators (KPIs) and aggregated performance metrics, as well as much more, are just a few of the many features offered by business intelligence systems.
Alina gained extensive experience working with many big corporations before founding BI.  Now, she helps stakeholders make business decisions that are clear and effective by automating parts of business analytics that use a lot of resources.
It is no longer necessary to manually extract, transform, and load raw data. Time-consuming manual queries and untested hypotheses are now unnecessary. BI uses some of the newest tools and technologies that put data analysis in one place so that insights can be gained in real time.
With the help of a business intelligence firm, stakeholders can make objective decisions without the influence of personal bias. BI consultants can point decision-makers to a new course of action by relying on data analytics that view a business objectively through raw data.
Business intelligence eliminates the risk of favoritism and personal relationships influencing business decisions.
Benefits of applying business intelligence to decision-making:
Strategic business decisions rely heavily on a variety of factors, but business intelligence data is among the most crucial for many reasons. Case studies conducted by some of the most successful businesses in the world demonstrate how using the appropriate data from a business intelligence system can drive the decision-making process and result in significant revenue.
This is especially true of cutting-edge BI platforms that leverage augmented analytics, or the incorporation of AI and ML into the BI process.
Professionals trained in business intelligence have a history of achievement in fields like client management. For instance, companies like Colgate use BI and big data systems to monitor consumer response on social media to advertising campaigns. This information is then used to inform future marketing strategies. Business intelligence (BI) consultants make use of automated BI software, and the expert insights they provide assist stakeholders in better targeting consumers.
Bringing automation to fundamental business processes like supply chain management is one more application of BI that is growing in popularity. When work orders are delayed or altered in any way, the effects can often be felt throughout an entire company. It takes time for changes to take effect because information must be relayed across multiple channels and different data systems, which necessitates substantial effort to be planned around. A company's ability to optimize its distribution channels and production output, among other metrics, depends on the quality of the business intelligence data it collects in real time.
In addition, this only scratches the surface of the myriad of ways that business intelligence (BI) tools can leverage data mining or be combined with predictive analytics in order to forecast market trends. If you have the right business intelligence system, you can unlock a data-informed path that will lead to continuous competitive advantages over time. It is not sufficient to simply possess these pieces of information; rather, you need to have experienced business intelligence experts on hand to read, analyze, and provide meaningful inputs in order to ensure that your decision-making process is both efficient and timely.
BI Company is your trusted advisor for strategic decisions:
Whether your goal is to expand into untapped markets, meet your customers' latent wants, or gain an edge over the competition, business intelligence (BI) is there to support you every step of the way. Whenever you need assistance deciding between two options, there will always be someone available to give you the advice you need. To find out how we can assist you in making swift and effective decisions, please call us at +1 646 630 93 27.

watcher dickriders are so fucking annoying. like it feels like you're being contrarian just for the sake of it
their patrons, who at minimum are already paying $5 and could be paying up to $100 a month, aren't getting grandfathered into the new service. they're already paying them!!! they got a $40 discount; thats already less than the $5 the patrons are paying, so why not just give them access to the service in gratitude for what could be YEARS of support?
fundamentally the issue with people is that by shifting to a mandatory subscription service, which is an inherently predatory and corporate model, they have stepped away from being perceived as artists that rely on fan support to being perceived as a Company. and they will be compared to other companies. the amount of content you get for your money is relatively minimal.

Vlads secretary recently quit in the middle of Vladco having a minor business expansion into Gotham and now he needs to hire a new one.
The bats are currently investigating one Vladimir Masters after he started to bring his business into Gotham. They’re very interested in the suspicious nature he acquired his wealth. Maybe it’s time to forge some resumes and bust out some old identities, Tim still has that blonde wig after all.

If I was Felipe Drugovich, someone who works in a fandom centric industry who has turned down multiple great chances to drive in other areas of motorsport so he could sit and drive a handful of times a year in FPs and watch his abilities slip, I simply wouldn't create a history of liking tweets dissing Lance Stroll. Ya know, the man in the seat I want. The man whose father is a majority owner of the team I want on and who could still discourage me getting that seat even if his son leaves.
Like my dude, I wouldn't get caught doing that for a job that people don't really know about. Where is the professionalism? Where is the anxiety? Where is the sense?

I don't have a lot of confidence in my art, but Roosterteeth and Achievement Hunter was one of the few things back in the day that got me to sit down & draw. I'm still really honored to be one of their guest artist for their 18th anniversary. You weren't always the best Roosterteeth, but thanks for inspiring this shy artist to keep drawing.

the thing about watcher is I think buzzfeed unsolved fucked them over. both in terms of numbers but also in terms of output. if you go to buzzfeed unsolved network and sort by popular, you have to scroll past 84 videos before you get below 10mil views. and a lot of those are 5-7 years old, so those are numbers they would've been looking at when deciding to break off from buzzfeed (the first watcher video was posted 4 years ago). they thought they could get big numbers without constantly churning out videos, because that's what they'd gotten with buzzfeed unsolved. and I'm sure they adjusted their projected numbers to account for people not following over to the new channel, but I doubt they predicted their top videos would be in the 8mil views range (which is still a lot, but not what they had pulled in the past).
so they aren't getting old buzzfeed unsolved numbers, but that's okay! look at the try guys - they aren't putting up millions of views every video and they're able to have a company with a decent amount of employees. and this is where the output issue comes in. between their main channel and their various podcasts, try guys is putting out 5 videos a week, with 2 being main channel videos. watcher is putting out 3 with 1 being a main channel video. plenty of people who have been making videos for a while have talked about the youtube grind and the algorithm - there's a reason daily vlogs and content houses got so big. and watcher didn't want to do that grind. from the beginning they've said they want to do seasons of shows. which is feasible! again, this is something try guys does with without a recipe. but the difference is try guys has quick and cheap videos they can put out in between and concurrently with those big shows that help support them. eat the menu is their best example of this because it gets big numbers. watcher doesn't really have filler videos.
to further the try guys comparison, buzzfeed unsolved limited the type of content fans were looking for in a way try guys was never limited because trying new things is a really fucking broad category. try guys was always more about the people than the specific thing they were trying. obviously a lot of fans of watcher like ryan and shane (and to a lesser extent steven, based on how many people are blaming him specifically for this). but I'm sure there were also people only watching because they liked true crime and/or ghost hunting content, which makes it harder to branch out and retain ghost files numbers on their other shows.
overall, they thought they could be buzzfeed with just unsolved, and that's not how youtube works and now it's fucking them over that they got too ambitious too fast

want to give my two cents on the AI usage in the maestro trailer--
i think seventeen doing a whole concept that is anti-AI is very cool, especially as creatives themselves i think it's good that they're speaking up against it and i hope it gets more ppl talking about the issue. i also understand on a surface level the artistic choice (whether it was made by the members, the mv director, or whoever else), to directly use AI in contrast to real, human-made visuals and music in order to criticize it. i also appreciate that they clearly stated the intention of the use of AI at the beginning of the video
however, although i understand it to an extent, i do not agree with the choice to use AI to critique AI. one of the main ethical concerns with generative AI is that it is trained on other artists' work without their knowledge, consent, or compensation. and even when AI generated images are being used to critique AI, it still does not negate this particular ethical concern
the use of AI to critique also does not negate the fact that this is work that could have been done by an actual artist. i have seen some people argue that it's okay in this context because it's a critique specifically about AI, and it is content that never would have been done by a real artist anyway because it doesn't make sense for the story they're trying to tell. but i disagree. i think you can still tell the exact same story without using AI
and in fact, i would argue that it would make the anti-AI message stronger if they HAD paid an artist to draw/animate the scenes that are supposed to represent AI generated images. wouldn't it just be proof that humans can create images that are just as bad and nonsensical and soulless as AI, but that AI can't replicate the creativity and beauty and basic fucking anatomy that's in human-made art?
it feels very obvious this was not just a way to cut corners and costs like a lot of scummy people are using AI for. ultimately it was a very intentional creative decision, i just personally think it was a very poor one. and even if some ethical considerations were taken into account before this decision, i certainly don't think all of them were. at the very least i feel like the decision undermines the message they want to convey
i would also like to recognize that i myself am not an artist, and i have seen some artists that are totally on board with the use of AI in this specific context, so clearly this is not a topic that is cut and dry. but generative AI is still new, and i think it's important to keep having these conversations
#melia.txt#also want to add that as musicians svt are more directly threatened by AI generated audio than they are by AI generated images#and yet AI generated images is what was used in the video#and i guess the MV director/production company are the ones directly responsible for putting that in there#whether it was their initial idea or not#and they work in a visual medium so perhaps that makes it more 'fair' but idk it just feels like#the commentary is around music. which makes sense. and using human produced music/sound#but then taking advantage of AI images#idk just feels weird#i mean i don't like it either way#like i said in the main post i understand the intention behind the creative decision#and i'm still happy svt are speaking against ai at all i do think overall they're doing a good thing here#i just don't agree with the creative decision they/the production company/whoever made#edit: deleted the part about not boycotting svt over this bc ppl were commenting about boycotting bc of the 🛴 stuff#i meant specifically /I/ am not calling for a boycott because of specifically the ai stuff#was just trying to make a general point that im not making this post bc i want to sabatoge svt or whatever#bc kpop fans love to pull that catd whenever u criticize anything#so yeah just removed that bit bc i dont want ppl getting confused what im talking about#respect ppl boycotting because of scooter/israel stuff but thats not what this post was intended to be about#edit 2: turning off reblogs bc im going to bed and having asomewhat controversial post up is not gonna help me sleep well lol#may or my not turn rb's back on in the morning

I feel like it says a lot about the relationships between the major institutions of the Trust and the Consectorship's place in it that Spahr's role, the role of any Prime Consector, can be summarized as: show pony, attack dog, scapegoat.

do you think that sometimes dean goes into the garage of the bunker and he just goes and sits in the impala? the engine is off, he just tucks himself into the front seat, sometimes with a book to read or sometimes with a sketchbook or even his journal. he just sits there quietly and reads or draws and writes about their latest case. it’s about the comfort of the impala. it’s about his car being his home, his safe space where he feels the most safe and secure and the place he can be himself

Just looked on the older books for refs of Thea and
Boi Curse of the Cheese Pyramid is insane
It literally starts with G heading to work on time at 9, but William comes in like "BOI YOU'RE SPENDING TOO MUCH MONEY ON THE GAZETTE YOU HAVE TO CUT DOWN THE BUDGET" (Imagine this screamed directly into Geronimo's ear)
Obviously William's definition of "cut down the budget" is this
TW: Spoilers for Curse of the Cheese Pyramid, William behavior, do not click on if you don't want a spike in blood pressure
If you choose to turn away now, the following fume was just an intermission for finding this picture lmao
Tumblr media
He pawned over everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) in Geronimo's office, from his desk to his armchair to his carpet to his book collection to his art collection, and replaced it all with a single plastic chair and desk ("All you need in an office is a desk and chair!")
He fired ALL THE STAFF and decided that only family members will be working for the paper (because family members don't need to be paid as much probably (if at all) when working for a family business-- they all share their finances with each other, anyway maybe (it's not clear what their salaries are gonna be (wanna bet G is paid minimum wage while Thea is paid 50% of the Gazette's monthly expenses after this clean sweep))). The only person spared from the firing spree was Shif T. Paws, the Gazette's sales manager, who apparently offered to work there for free.
He delegates all the work of the Gazette to four people-- G does all the office work (taking calls, building maintenance, writing, editing, printing, clientele stuff), Thea does all the interviews and field work stuff, Trap does all the cooking, and Benjamin is "William's personal assistant". Lord knows what that last position means for little Benji. (Okay reading ahead Benjamin seems fine, but he does say that William is "a bit pushy".)
He sends G out on a work holiday thing and he overworks the crap out of everyone, to the point where even Thea is sick of William's senile old-fashioned ass, and it seems that the Gazette was also going downhill because of this mouse furry ripoff Daniel Dancer. (To give a preview of what he did in the working perspective, he basically had Trap work seven days a week)
He was planning to have staff give use old newspaper instead of toilet paper (T&B expenses), make a 30-second time mechanism for the restrooms (to maximize manpower efficiency and possible humiliation for anyone going number 2), and was considering cutting all electricity to the building and just have staff work on typewriters "just like the old days".
This man's senile ass--
