I just think that if Alan were on the Grid, he and Clu would be very productive when working together. Here, they're helping Tron and Flynn deal with a gridbug problem

I want to examine Clu (2) under a microscope

Honestly THE most fascinating character in Legacy. Like yes a genocidal asshole who committed atrocities but what good villain isn't. But also like. He wasn't. WRONG? entirely. See all of Betrayal. Flynn did fuck up immensely and played God where he shouldnt have and neglected Clu and the whole grid repeatedly. I kinda don't blame him for not accepting the hug ahaha. Did he need to murder a species about his daddy issues? No not really. That fucking sucked of him and that scene where he creeps on Quorra about it makes my skin crawl (my God was that Written by a Man)

But I will admit I do feel for him despite that which honestly. Excellent villain right there. Fascinating little guy. That scene in Flynn's safe house was a short little throw away scene but said SO MUCH about Clu's character and how he became fucked up to begin with.

I think Flynn's analysis of 'no no he's me I fucked it up' is completely incorrect, hes his own person who was treated badly and THAT right there is where Flynn fucked up, not treating the programs like people. Not treating the whole grid like a whole world and not a playground. Clu felt like a plaything and felt he needed to take things into his own hands to protect himself and his people from being tossed aside in favor of the next shiny thing to catch Flynn's attention.

I just think he's neat

Red VS Blue TRON AU :)

Mostly a RvB-esk storyline but with TRON elements!

Freelancer Industries is a giant tech corporation with a wide range of different fields, currently headed by Chairman Hargrove (Dillinger) since the company’s CEO went missing. Church is a User trapped inside his company’s computer network for several years by the Director (Master Control Program), who’s memories have been altered, and kept under watch by the Counselor (Sark). His daughter, Carolina, breaks into the system to find him with the help of a coworker, Wash (whom has also been stuck in there, as are several others), and external support from her brother, Epsilon, via the form of in-system programs known as “fragments”. However, some fragments are corrupted/reprogrammed by the Director and paired with various other company employees that get trapped in the system as well.

Shenanigans ensue.

Texas was programed by Church’s late wife. Simmons’ mathematics algorithm is glitched and needs bug-fixing. Grif’s code should work perfectly but he simply Doesn’t Want To. Kai is an assistant program to Grif. Lopez is a translation program but only translates into Spanish. Donut won’t tell anyone if he’s supposed to be a dating app or an aimbot. Junior is a program made to do space-flight tracking to planets that Tucker ‘finds’. Sheila is a Recognizer :).

Also I find it really funny that the ds version of evolution actually has a bunch of lore that you don't find anywhere else. Like Clu2 wasn't the only rogue program on the grid, and there actually was an MCP esque program on there, who controlled something like plumbing I think?? Had the face and everything. There's no page on the wiki for me to double check, so I'll just have to play through it again.

Like Flynn didn't get the hint of "hmm maybe I should keep a closer eye on the system" BECAUSE OF THE MCP 2 but probably instead went "hmmm. Tron can handle it" and then Clu2 happened

There's also Recogniser licences, and Gibson gets trapped in some green crystal. It's weird, but it's title screen theme will never not be funny.
